On the subject of folk asking for telegram/discord
Posted 2 years agoJust wanting to put something of a FYI out there to folk who ask if they can talk to me on discord/telegram (Particularly since its going to be easier to find folk on discord thanks to the name change and being able add them as friends without prior consent)
I love to meet new folk, I really do! Its great fun to make connections in the fandom and some of my closest friends in my life have been through it! Chatting, getting to know folk and becoming friends, all good fun!
However there has been an uptick of folk recently who want to add me and then ask for one thing only - Roleplay.
Now I am not against roleplay, but I really don't do it much these days due to various factors, most of them being busy doing other stuff. It has become apparent as of late though that this is the dominant reason I have had numerous folk reach out to me here on FA.
Forgetting that behind the character is a person, an individual, someone unique and ignoring all those factors in just wanting to roleplay with my character.
Therefore I want to make it crystal clear that if that is the ONLY reason you want to add me to telegram/discord - DONT. Save yours and myself the time and disappointment and find someone else,
However if you are adding me because you are interested in chatting, getting to know each other and enjoy one anothers company - with potential roleplay happening in there, then by all means please reach out to chat, I'd love to get to know you!

Birthday!
Posted 3 years agoI made it another year around the sun! Wooooo!
I reflect on the last year and alot has changed for me, I have met so many new people, been apart of so many people's lives and I hope, in some small way, touched them in a positive way in the same way they have touched me!
Hope it will be a good birthday weekend where I can make many happy memories to carry and cherish with me!
To everyone I have met and gotten to know - thank you for letting this big mecha derg into your life, and to all the people I hope to meet in the future, I look forward to it!

Small break from the new works!
Posted 4 years agoPhew! It has been a ride this past week!
3 new stories all written and finished up! Its been invigorating to do so much writing again and thoroughly enjoyable to explore some new style in doing so too!
I recognise that SFW doesn't really do all that well, and I understand why, but thank you to all those who have read and ( I hope! ) enjoyed my last 3 stories. With them combined they establish a new launch pad for me to do more exploration of the in lore universe soon (And some of it NSFW too for those who like to see a good ol' Mecha derg rampage!)
Alot of it is not new, it has existed in my head for years now but it has been good to write it down, set it in concrete and then also move Jared forward on his journey as a character!
With FFXIV Endwalkers on the horizon there will be a break from the writing whilst I throw myself into that for however long it takes for me to drink my fill - but when I return there shall be more stories I hope to share with you all!

I don't do these often but now I have done 3 in the course of a week!
It has been quite the week too - I have managed to finish up so much writing and one I am particularly proud of which I have just now posted is my Character Lore Primer & Compendium! I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it! It has been quite the journey with Jared and now to have it all written down and in one place makes me feel so much better - knowing it has structure and form!
In doing all this I came across a fantastic new friend in the form of
AeonOrtha who has not only inspired me to complete the Primer but also in moving my own characters personal history forward!
Say hello to the new Aeon of Providence!
His lore (Which I highly encourage you to read! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40620259/ ) has been instrumental in the direction I have taken Jared and has helped me with a concept that I have for the longest time struggled with - how to make Jared stronger without becoming a straight up Deity (Which I have wanted to avoid).
The ideas that Ortha had were exactly what I was looking for and it is both a privilege and an honour to join its ranks as an Aeon as it fits perfectly with the direction I have wanted to take Jared in. None of it contradicts any of his establish canon and it has only served to enhance him and his backstory!
There will be a story coming out in the future detailing how Jared met Ortha and became an Aeon and I am looking forward to sharing that with everyone when its finished!
In the meantime I hope you enjoy the Lore Primer and as always if you have any questions I am always happen to answer!

Its been a while since I updated the below so given I was giving things a tidy around here to celebrate 20K views thought I would refresh my writing commissions terms for 2022 onwards!

Official Terms Of Service
Prices
I am moving to a flat rate charging structure for all stories going forward. Depending on which band you choose I will provide a story within the min and max word count.
I charge $40 USD for stories between 3000 Words to 5000 Words (Max)
I charge $80 USD for stories between 5000 Words to 10000 Words (Max)
All payments will be made via Paypal and become payable upon completion of the Final Draft.
Slots
I will take on one slot at a time for the time being. I may extend this limit depending on how it fits into my schedule.
Requesters can remain anonymous if they wish, however all completed works will be posted on my gallery.
Timeframe
I will aim to finish all projects, unless unforeseen circumstances intervene. Should I be unable to complete a project, I will let you know at the earliest convenience.

This lists what I am willing and unwilling to write about. This is for various reasons. This list is not comprehensive and as a writer I retain the right to refuse any commission if I feel I cannot fulfil.

Stage I - Discuss your idea with you
I will discuss your ideas with you, in particular focusing on
- Themes
- Characters
- Outlines
This so we can tailor your story to meet your needs. I’ll also discuss with you how much creative freedom you want to give me.
Stage II - First Draft
This will contain the “Core” of the story – at this point I will ask for confirmation you are happy with the concept. At this stage small changes to scenes/amendments to character(s) can be made however there will be no full re-writes.
Stage III - Final Draft
Any amendments made from the “first draft” will be included. I’ll ask you if you’re happy with the story. At this point it will be content finished and no new additions or scenes will be added.
If you are unhappy with the story at this phase I will try to work with you to resolve however we may need to agree to walk away from the commission if we cannot come to a compromise.
It is at this point if you are happy I will issue the invoice to you for payment.
Stage IV - Completion
The final version will contain the finishing touches (spelling, grammar, details etc.) and will be considered complete. I will send you a final .pdf version of your story for you to post or do with as you please!

20K Page Views - A Short Reflection
Posted 4 years agoIf someone said to me one day that so many people would take an interest in the things that came out of my mind I might have given them the side eye with a
squint - but here we are! 13 years on FA going strong.
I don't do journals often but I thought this was a good as milestone as any to just make some short shout outs to the people who have helped make this all a reality!
I am truly humbled by peoples interest and curiosity about Jared - he is a labour of love for me, something special and close to my heart and to see other people enjoying the things I share here brings me joy. He has come along way over the years and as he continues to evolve, to grow (pun intended!) and expand his lore and background I hope you will continue on this journey with me. There are many stories yet to be told I am sure! I appreciate every artist and writer who has help form part of that story that is Jared and made that come to life in their wonderful works!
As I think about the last few years particular I have had the joy and luck to meet many wonderful people in the community too who I now count as close friends and I am grateful for them and everything they do - if you have talked with me, chatted or interacted with me know I appreciate you and everything you are!
As the years go on I want to continue being a positive force in the little small corner of the internet I find myself in and bring people joy with the works that I share.

I know my stuff is more niche - not that many macro mecha dragons out there! So it means the world to me!
So here is to another 500 more down the line perhaps? Never know what the future holds!
To celebrate I am going to throw up a short story request raffle for anyone who comments on this journal!

First of all I hope you are well, whoever and wherever you are!
So with 2021 coming around I want to try and set myself some goals, and set myself some challenges this year - for here that would mean more writings and more creative challenges for myself! I've already kicked that off with my Wargreymon story posted today and hope to continue that trend with further stories as we go through the year.
Also, whilst I have had commissions as a thing for a while - I have gone ahead and "officially" put it on my front page. That way if anyone does wish to ask I write them a story (or perform a trade) we can discuss it. Depending if and what I get its something I want to try and do - at least one or two this year.

I will admit most of that time was spent as a lurker but when I did come out and start interacting with the community have made some valuable and wonderful friends from it!

Writing Preferences
This lists what I am willing and unwilling to write about. This is for various reasons. This list is not comprehensive and as a writer I retain the right to refuse any commission if I feel I cannot fulfil the request.
What I prefer to write about
Macro [From Small to Universal size], Growth, Furs/Scalies, Muscles, NSFW & SFW, Sci-Fi / Fantasy / Medieval / Modern Day Settings
What I will not write about
Scat, Underage Characters / anything involving children, Extreme Gore/Violence/Torture, Weight Gain, MLP
The Commission Process
Stage I - Discuss your idea with you
I will discuss your ideas with you, in particular focusing on
- Themes
- Characters
- Outlines
This so we can tailor your story to meet your needs. I’ll also discuss with you how much creative freedom you want to give me. This is to get a sense of how much you’re happy for me to improvise, or whether you’d prefer me to stick to a strict path.
Stage II - First Draft
This will contain the “Core” of the story – at this point I will ask for confirmation you are happy with the concept. At this stage changes to scenes/amendments to character(s) can be made however there will be no full re-writes.
Stage III - Final Draft
Any amendments made from the “first draft” will be included. I’ll ask you if you’re happy with the story. At this point it will be content finished and no new additions or scenes will be added.
If you are unhappy with the story at this phase I will try to work with you to resolve however we may need to agree to walk away from the commission if we cannot come to a compromise.
Stage IV - Completion
The final version will contain the finishing touches (spelling, grammar, details etc.) and will be ready for your approval. It is at this point you decide if you are happy with it.
If so I will send you an invoice for payment and I will send you a final .pdf version of your story for you to post or do with as you please!

The more you get of these the less special they get it seems - gone is the glitz and glamour of my teen years that's for certain - Less going out partying and more staying in and reading a good book or playing a solid game!
Looking back on the last year though made a fair bit of progress - lost lots of weight and put my health into a much better position, regular gym and diet changes to thank for that! Made great progress in my own personal life with family and fixing a few holes which had appeared over the years (particularly since passing of my mother) so I am happy that is much better - and work has gone from strength to strength too. Overall the last year has been pretty kind to me.
With the ever exception of dental! *grumble grumble!* Curse my teeth based genetic deficiencies!
All that been said however, hope the next year will be good too!
On a side note - nearly 10,000 page views. Hoooooly, I am humbled so many people like seeing Jared in action through the wonderful artists who help bring him to life and the writings I do!
I plan on doing something special, a raffle kind of thing at 10,000 so keep your eyes open, all being well can hit that before Christmas!

Christmas Story Raffle (Open until 30th November)

So I would like to open up a raffle to have a story written by me! Details are below so please take time to read them and leave a comment letting me know you are interested! (No need to detail your idea right now just your interest).
Depending how this goes I may do another one at some point during December (No promises!) so if you are not lucky enough this time you may have another chance!

- Raffle will close 30th November @ 20:00 GMT
- Story theme will be MACRO/GROWTH focused

Posted 8 years agoSo been a while since I have done a journal but thought I would throw a message out and just let everyone know how I have been doing.
Not really being into a writing mood for a while (it comes and goes) and that is why you have not see much from me on here, or only little bits or art here and there - just not had the energy or muse to throw something together.
That has now changed to a small degree with the recent release of my story last week - it was a quick and dirty affair but a sign I am feeling the writing bug again and want to share with you all some more fun macro stories!
Cannot guarantee how long this will last, and how often I can get them up (Between work and ALL the releases these past few months my time to write is fairly limited) but I have some nice ideas I want to share with you before the years end!
Also! I want to do a raffle / request some point (Will make a separate journal when I open it up!) as a Christmas special. So I hope people will take me up on that, the first time I did it earlier this year taught me a thing or two on how to manage these so it should be a better process this time.
And finally - to close this off, a question. In 2018 I am thinking of opening myself up to writing commission, likely one or two are any given time, relatively cheaply too - but I wanted to ask would there be any interest perhaps in that if I did open myself up to commissions?
The structure and offerings is still a WIP but right now I am just looking to gather interest!

Just wanted to let you know I have chosen the story I wanted to run with and it has now being written and sent to the requester for approval! (I have updated the previous journal with the details)
I wish to thank everyone who send me a Note with ideas and thoughts, they were all great and to be fair I wish I could have written about all of them, but in the end I went with something I felt I could do the most for and felt the most familiar with. I did this mainly because as my first request I didn't want to disappoint!
This was fun though and I would like to do more in future. So even if your idea was not selected this time it might be something I run with in the future!

New Years Writing Challenge! ONE FREE REQUEST [CLOSED]

So I want to do more writing in 2017 and I want to expand what I write upon. And I thought the best way to do that would to do that and challenge myself would be to open myself up to doing a SINGLE free request
It will be a written work and i'll outline below what it is you can expect from me and what I will/will not write.
The story itself will be around 5 pages long, or 3000 words. It might be a little shorter or longer depending on the concept thrown at me and how confident I am writing about it.
I will discuss your idea with you and get to know what it is you want and your character - and when I am finished you will obtain a copy of the final draft. At this stage you can request any minor changes or additions/subtractions if you like.
I will try to ensure my story meets your vision as close as possible but will not do any re-writes. It is a request after all so I hope you understand!
So! Anyone who is familiar with my art knows I heavily favour Macro works, with growth and generally some naughtiness occurring. Now in terms of my writing you will get the best from me if you want something Macro but I am flexible so if you have another idea I would be glad to hear it!
I am also good with doing both NSFW/SFW writing so if you want something clean I can accommodate quite happily.
Now for things I WILL NOT write about (These are non-negotiable I am afraid! Just don't feel confident and/or comfortable writing about these).
- Anything involving Kids or Children
- Scat of any kind
- Watersports
If there is anything else which turns up in discussion then I will be open and honest with you!
There you have it! First time I have done this so a little nervous I will admit but I hope I listed out everything appropriately. Any questions please post them below or if you want clarification on anything.

Announcement : Shifting Contacts Around

Hey everyone, just wanted to post a message about on how best to get in touch with me going forward!
Up until now I have been using Skype exclusively as it was the only platform I used - however over the past few months I have being using it less and less making it hard for some people to get a hold of me!
I have recently learned about a wonderful app called "Telegram" though which a lot of furs use and have got it myself. Still getting used to using it but it has being a great way to split my skype contacts (who are mostly people I game with or hang out with irl) and my FA friends!
So this weekend I am going to go through my skype and remove a lot of people, if you find you are one of those and you still want to chat hit me up in notes and I will share my telegram info with you! It will be a lot of people but please don't take it personally (because it's not!) if you find yourself as one of them!
This is also for me a way of weeding out those who just added me and never chatted after the first occasion!
Also on a second note I am removing my "RP" status for the time being, this is for 2 reasons
1) I already have more RPs going on then I have time for so if I decline please don't be offended, I just don't have the capacity right now!
I will also be going through some current RPs and slimming down the ones I am involved in. Again please don't take this personally, it's going to be because I cannot give it the time it needs and my desire to focus on a smaller number of RPs going forward.
2) With Xmas & New Year I will have little time until at least 2017 limiting my ability to reply to many RPs. I may consider opening up again to new RP after but I can't promise!
Finally as a new rule if you want to RP with me (as I have encountered this a number of times) I will RP with my characters, not ones you ask me to.
RP is a shared experience and it should be fun for both parties, asking me to RP with either one of your characters or a random one you have made up will get an instant "No" from me. This is mostly because it's not fun for me and I will never be able to give it my all because of that, meaning neither of us are having the best experience!

Well back from Kitacon 2016 (An anime convention held here in the UK in Birmingham).
Before this event I was beginning to flag on conventions in general ( to the point where I actually nearly didn't go to this one ). I think for me these events were beginning to lose some of the shine. They are, at least in my mind, made to be social events where people of the same interests can come together, hang out, make new friends - the problem with the last couple I had been to it was nothing like that.
Kitacon has changed that for me.
I met many wonderful people, some of whom were fellow furs too which was fantastic! The atmosphere was great, the planning spot on and the drama kept out and away from the general population (as it should be!). Even those not attending the event and were either staying at the hotel or at another non related convention were generally very cool and curious about what was going on.
I was thinking this might have been my last con when I went, but not I want to do more than ever! I want to really try do a cosplay too now - I am losing weight and I am feeling in the right place for it (The overall goal to one day own a fursuit myself!).
So I guess I will ask you all - do you know of any good Furry Cons in the UK/EU? Any which you might recommend?

All the Digimons!

Well for me Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth happened! I missed the release and only just picked it up earlier this month but it was so worth it! If you love old school RPG games and want to scratch that Persona 5 itch whilst we wait for release dates...you could do much worse!
It was obviously a labour of love that much is for certain! I loved that it had so many of my favourite Digimon in it like Imperialdramon, Magnamon, Taomon, Belphamon...and many more. Suffice to say my party was kicking butt by the end. Story is usual anime tropes but they work well enough, the battle's are where the real meat of the game lie.
As for other things, had my first commission done of Jared in his current form! Thank you to
Raysen for that! I cannot endorse them enough for the work they have done and the sheet time they took to actually make this a unique and great piece! Do check them out!
I also have approached another artist for a Character Reference and they have accepted, so just waiting for that now but I look forward to sharing that with you all when its done :)

I am glad I have done though, and I will continue to do so, especially so once I have a reference I can use, will make the process much easier I hope.
Well that's my month! Back to Stardew Valley now...though turnips ain't going to plant themselves!
