I had an epiphany yesterday.
Posted 12 years agoI found myself to be humming a song that I haven't heard for a long time with nothing to stimulate thoughts of it. I was puzzling over where it came from when I had a startling realization.
Music is fat soluble! I had been running a bit to move some cars at work so we could keep things flowing through my area. I probably burned a little fat in the process. All those years ago, I listened to a song while my body made a little bit of fat. Yesterday, that fat was burned and suddenly, I was humming the theme from Gilligan's Island. There can be no other logical explanation for why tv themes come back so much.
You sit there on the couch, munching some chips, candy, drinking a soda or whatever your junk food vice is. You're listening to the theme from your favorite show, making some fat and now that will be with you forever. Gilligan's Island flashbacks can happen at any moment. They can be pretty scary. So, the moral of the story is, "Don't do junk food while listening to bad music."
