We've decided to do something kind for ourselves that will also inevitably benefit all of you.
As of tomorrow, Bea and I (Megg), will have a new social media manager and personal assistant. So, we'd like to formally introduce everyone to Rose aka
For the sake of full transparency, we'll go into a bit of detail on what she will be handling, what duties will be split among the three of us, and what Bea and I will still be doing entirely ourselves.
First, Rose's new duties:
-Running Twitter
-Running Instagram
-Posting art on FA
-Posting art on FB
-Website creation & updates
-Putting together Trello cards
-Delivering WIPs and final products
-Moderating our Discord Server (if we end up opening one)
-Moderating our Pictarto chats (if we start streaming again)

So, while things will be changing a lot on our end, there won't be many changes on the client end of things. We won't be announcing who is talking in messages or comments, and we ask that no one differentiates between the three of us in such a way. Rose will have full authority and knowledge to give the same information that we always have, and we'll be working very closely with her (especially in the beginning) to make sure her she is fully trained and comfortable in completing these tasks.
What this means, as seen above, is that Bea and I can put much more focus on getting art done in a timely manner and continuing to grow and improve the studio's range. With the idea of merch and a comic looming, we simply were unable to keep up with all of our duties, while also spending as much time as we'd like to on the art itself. There's a lot of unpaid work that goes into this job, and now it's paid work -- just for someone else.
Rose is very dear to us, and she has been for many years at this point. We trust her implicitly, and we wouldn't have taken this step if we had any reservations about it. This was not done without much consideration. In fact, we've been tossing around the idea of needing someone to take on these duties for at least a year. So, please know that this was a highly cautious move on our part, and we're bringing her into the fold with nothing but positive feelings and utter excitement.
So, if you please, give her a warm welcome and the same hefty helping of respect that you've all shown us along the way. Thank you in advance to for understanding this change, and we look forward to having her fully integrated very soon.

First, we've passed the mile marker for opening a merch shop and are in the process of figuring out which one to use. This is relevant to everyone, as it will be a public-access thing. It might take a minute, but the process has begun.
Second, we're quickly approaching our mile marker for putting out comic pages, which will also be public. So, we have feelers out for hiring someone to make us a website equipped to handle everything we'd need it to. If interested in the job, please contact us with a portfolio and pricing. And that bring us to our first real questions. We'll go into the other questions from here as well. We'll number them, so you can easily answer by number instead of explaining which thing you're answering. Answers can be in comments, our FB inbox, or notes here on FA. 3. Is everyone still enjoying the idea of monthly fanart pin-ups of canon characters on Patreon? Or would anyone have interest in/prefer we post a selection of our own OCs and allow patreons to vote each month for which one we do a pin-up of instead? These are made available to all patrons pledging $1 or more each month on early access, and we eventually release them to the public after no less than 1 month of being Patreon-only.
4. What sorts of YCH's and/or bases would you like to see over the next several months? YCH's, of course, will be made available to the public. Bases, however, are Patreon-exclusive for those pledging $5 or more each month. Though, pledging once gives you access to all previous months' bases.

General | Posted 5 years agoWe're currently over halfway through lines on the Mega YCH. Taking a little longer than intended, but it should go much faster once all lines are approved, as color and shading can be happening simultaneously in separate files and merged together later.
As for normal queue work, we're jogging to try and catch back up to our originally scheduled timeline. Admittedly, during this pandemic/quarantine, everything has been a little harder -- including work. There are some real mental health dents and dings that come with being socially isolated, but we're doing our very best to cope and keep at it.
Our Patreon is actually much more active now than it's ever been. We've managed to make a hobby out of making Patreon content, and it's been very rewarding. We already have quite a few F2U Patreon-exclusive bases/linearts posted, and we've only been doing them since February. They are available to all patrons pledging $5 or more per month. The current ones posted are shown in the sneak peek examples and listed as follows:
1 extensive chibi base (128 layers)
4 species linearts (bear, rabbit, iguana, & jamnapari goat)
1 booty base (7.5 tails, optional wings)
1 chest/corset base (3 body types, 7 chests, masc & femme options, corseted and un-corseted)

The booty shots are available for $5 each with an existing tail or $8 if a new/heavily modded tail is necessary. Turnaround is 1-3 days.
The chest shots are available for $5-10 each, depending on character complexity. Turnaround is 1-3 days.
The booty and chest shots are completed between queue commissions as a way to relax and blow off a little steam. They're much less strenuous than normal queue work. Also, there are 2 of us, so the queue is always being worked on, even if one of us breaks to do some little YCH base fills.
We've also been making a new product called "Toony AF" icons. The "AF" stands for "artistic freedom." They are a no WIPs, no changes product, and we only take a character ref and general mood/aesthetic guideline. They run $10-20 each, depending on character and mood complexity. When browsing the examples, the 3-headed character was the exception at $30.

We offer up 7 slots to the public on FB and 7 additional slots to patrons of any tier ($1/mo or more). They're being used as a warm-up before we start queue work each day, which is why we only offer up 7 slots per week. We've found it's difficult enough managing order intake on those 2 sites (FB & Patreon) when we open slots every Saturday. However, anyone is welcome to make their way to either site and attempt to nab a slot if interested. New slots open up some time tomorrow. Patreon info was just above, and you can find us on FB via this link.
These icons are continuing to go well while managing to stay lots of fun for us. We've been given some amazing characters and prompts to work with, and we're loving every minute.
We should be posting another batch of Pokedopts soon, but we'd like to collect a few more before we show them off again. They are still being worked on for those of you waiting on a final product, and we haven't disappeared at all.
Not sure there's much more to tell. We're staying in, staying safe. We're in a VERY low infection area, so lots of places are still open and many people are going about their business as usual. In fact, the official government guidelines received for our area only advises not gathering in groups of 10 or more and staying in "if you're feeling unwell." But we're staying a bit more on the safe side than that - self-quarantining around around a level 4 most of the time, 3 when we're feeling weak and cooped up.
Also, we've been starting to put together our ToyHouse profiles. A lot are still in WIP stages, but if you're bored and like to look at other people's characters, feel free to have a browse. Also, the lore for our anthro universe is also available on there.

Just wanted to post a quick journal to let everyone know that we haven't disappeared. Our queue is still moving, though a tiny bit slower than we might like. But we're only about 5-7 days behind where we expected to be right now. The quarantine stuff has us a little wigged out, as we're not quite used to being cooped up without outside company for so many days at a time -- but we're doing everything we can to stay safe, as are our family members.
How's everyone else doing during lockdown? Feel free to chat, vent, or scream into the void in our comment section. <3

The change to billing will not affect any current patrons, only new ones. We've updated our billing to "Charge Upfront," which basically means that new patrons will make their first pledge on the day they sign up, but all successive charges will occur on the 1st of each month like usual. And there is a good reason for the change, which brings us to our next announcement!
REWARD CHANGES
Patrons pledging $5 or more each month will now have access to 1 free-to-use **PATREON EXCLUSIVE** base or lineart per month.
What you CAN do with the bases/lineart:
- Edit them within reason.
- Use them to make adopts/commissions for profit.
- Use them to make personal/gift art for yourself and/or your friends for free.
What you CANNOT do with the bases/lineart:
- Remove the RAS signature for any reason.
- Make them available to non-patrons for free or profit.
- Use/post work on the bases/lineart without credit to the studio.
Up front billing has everything to do with this new reward, as we will be posting a download link each month to that month's base/lineart, and we cannot risk anyone pledging to receive access to the content and canceling before the billing cycle.

In related news, we are making a concerted effort to start offering more **LIMITED SLOT** YCHs each month as well, which will be debuted here for 3 days prior to going public. Given that most will be limited to 1-3 slots each, having early access will become a much more valuable resource than it has been in the past.
We currently have 4 unseen YCHs in the works for this month, plus the one that's currently up for early access. As a sort of 'sneak peek,' there will be 3 single character options with 3 slots available on each, 1 single character with 2 of our characters to be auctioned off to only 1 person, and 1 massive group YCH which includes 2 of our characters and 21 other slots to be auctioned off to only 1 person each.
The first auctioned piece (with 1 character slot) will be featuring Rhetta & Reggie.
The second auctioned piece (with 21 character slots) will be featuring Kresta & Roark.
We plan to offer 1-2 YCHs each month involving our own characters, extremely exclusively, likely only ever 1 slot on offer. If anyone wants to suggest which characters they would like to see featured in future YCHs, take a look through our anthro characters on ToyHouse and weigh in below or in private.

We're trying to get as much done as possible before we leave, but we're heading out at 5am, so we only have about 3 more waking hours left tonight.
Sorry for any delays on products. We are about a week further behind than we originally anticipated, because we've now had 2 deaths in the family (11 days apart, wife and husband in that order), as well as battling intermittent sinus infection nonsense, some other-side-of-the-family drama, and just holiday wackiness in general. Oh, and we had to switch up our tablet situation, as the Surface Pro ran out of pen tips and Amazon was slower than usual on shipping. So, one of us is working on a traditional Wacom Bamboo instead of what we're used to. Not complaining, as it's a perfectly fine tool, but it does take some re-calibration to move from an screen tablet to a non-screen tablet. The angles are really quite different.
It is currently almost 7pm our time, which should allow you to check that against your local time or site time (to follow along with when we'll be gone and back). Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend in the meantime. We're hoping to do the same.

Apologies for any delays on your art, as we recently were dealing with some mild sickness between us, as well as a sudden death in our family. It wasn't a super close relative, but it did set off some pre-existing mental health stuff that rattled things around a bit. Everything is going much smoother now, though. Sorry for not stopping by to explain sooner.
For everyone who ordered around Oct 20-something-th -- Your adopts are being started in the next week or two (for the most part). We got tons of orders over that several day span, and we're working our hardest to get them back to everyone as quickly as possible without sacrificing any quality. We will be letting everyone know as their adopts are started, but you can also follow along on our queue if you prefer. Don't let the length scare you -- we've been functioning at this level for quite some time now. We receive and complete roughly 130 or so pieces of art each month.
Batch breaks now signify more of "one day's work," rather than a straight forward "10 pieces" or whatnot. If some batches look very short or very long, that's because the length is based on cumulative cost of the pieces within, since price is based on estimated time for completion. This seems to be a much more realistic way of scheduling our comms.
In other news, we still have ONE Christmas slot available -- Normal price, but guaranteed completion by Dec 25. Must be ordered/paid by Dec 1.
We still have ToyHouse code available if anyone needs one. Like... 23 or something silly.
Lastly, we've gotten to sink our teeth into Sword and Shield a bit, and we're both loving it. Megg is Team Sobble, and Bonny is Team Grookey. We've both gotten all of our badges, but we're training up a bit more before taking on the Championship Cup.
We're always looking for more friends in Sword and Shield, as well as on Pokemon Go. So, drop us a comment or note with your info if you'd like us to add you 💖

Queue Update
General | Posted 6 years agoWe're finally making progress on undersketches from 7/23 to present. Apologies for any delay, as we had some familial obligations come up that were unexpected. Nothing bad, just time consuming. For instance, August is apparently a VERY popular month for birthdays and birthday dinners/parties lol I guess we should have expected those, but we didn't realize quite how many there were. We lived away for many years, so we weren't invited to as many in the past due to distance. We're very happy to be home though (almost a full year), and it's been wonderful getting to spend more time with family again!
Regardless, we're getting right back on track now. Hoping things start moving much faster. Today is, as far as we know, our last family thing for a little while. So, if you're waiting on a piece, please bear with us just the tiniest bit longer. Uploads and (Nearly) Empty Queue!
General | Posted 6 years agoHello, all! Planning to do some uploads between tonight and the rest of the week. Scattered about. Might be A LOT. Hopefully will be a lot. We have a TON to post, OML!
Also, our queue is nearly empty. Just some stuff awaiting color in the next 24-36 hours. Which means our undersketch, line, and shading queue is totally empty, and that equal MASSIVELY quick turnaround times. If that's a thing you look for, now is a great time order. If not, now is as good as any LOL
Not much more to say, just we've been super quiet and keeping really busy. Which is good, but time consuming. Drop us a comment, note, etc. if interested. We do still have mystery adopts available, TF potions, and a few YCHs. You can find them all in gallery folders, or we're happy to link if you can't find them.

If you do, that's pretty rad and you have our eternal gratitude. If not, that's cool too. No pressure, just making it available.
