Personal Streaming (All Welcome)
General | Posted 7 years agoJust more updates!
General | Posted 7 years agoUpdate: Poll opinions are all being taken into account. In light of that, we have some YCHs in the works, some mystery egg adopts going up later tonight that were already being worked on, some pre-made adopts underway, and we're working towards being able to release animated pixel icons soon.
Head's up that we're taking the next 2 days off for Bonny's birthday but will likely host a stream of personal work so we can celebrate with all of you guys. <3
Also, if you're looking to get Halloween pieces completed by Halloween, you have until Oct 13 to submit your order. We will be limiting the Oct 31 deadline pieces to 5 slots. All are currently open. Shoot us a message if you would like to claim one.

Internet GOT!
General | Posted 7 years agoAt least a bit. The speed is terrible, but we CAN get our work done with it and have been working on stuff. We've barely had it 24 hours now, but it was sorta the last hitch. Now we can just move forward, even if slowly.
Quick Updates + Bill Stream Notice
General | Posted 7 years agoOkay, still no internet at home, but we're borrowing Megg's parents' connection for today. It's pretty dismal but better than nothing. Queue pieces are being worked offline. Streaming for a bit in order to make our bills for the week though. Things aren't quite going to plan yet, but we're making the best of it. Just didn't want anyone to feel forgotten because we have to try to do a little PWYW streaming today. Everything IS being worked on behind the scenes. Bless that there are two of us!
Frontier still sucks...
General | Posted 7 years agoTrying to keep you guys up to date. Sorry for so many words and so little art recently. Still no internet. Frontier told us late Thursday afternoon that "it looks like it's already been installed." We later figured out that she meant it had been activated (on Wednesday), not installed. She said our equipment would arrive via mail in 1-2 business days from the date of activation (Wednesday), which she then went on to say would be Monday or Tuesday. No clue when Thursday and Friday ceased to be business days, but we haven't received the equipment yet, so I guess she was right. If we don't get the stuff tomorrow, we'll be trying to seek out another connection in the interim. More info as it becomes available.
More Updates!
General | Posted 7 years agoWe made it safely to Illinois, as did our car via flatbed trailer. Probably won't know much about that situation until at least next week. Internet is still a work in progress. The previous renter left an unpaid bill, and we're still jumping through hoops to prove we aren't her. We've now provided a photo ID twice and a copy of the deed. It was nearly 6pm last night before we could get that to them, though, so I'm not super hopeful for resolution today and I dunno if they even do weekend installs. We'll let you know when we know. Our movers should be here any minute though, so that'll be our morning. More info when we have it. Thanks for bearing with us!
Life/Move Update (kinda lengthy)
General | Posted 7 years agoStill no internet, which was expected. We'll be heading to the new place sometime this afternoon, a bit later than planned though. On Monday morning, our car inexplicably activated its anti-theft system, which cuts all power to the vehicle and precludes it from turning on. All attempts to reset it ourselves, under advisement of both the internet and mechanics, have failed miserably. So, we have to wait for the tow driver to arrive this afternoon to tow it the 4-5 hours back to Illinois where we can get it fixed. No one here could do it in less than a week, which we don't have. So, that's a thing that happened. We cannot guarantee internet access or a real work space until Friday, which is when the movers come to unpack our trailers. We're doing well, staying fed, slept, and hydrated, but things haven't been... smooth. Hoping it can only get better from here. Very excited to get to the new place and post some pics. Heading out to do our last few things now, so communication might be sparse until tonight. Thanks for bearing with us, and cookies all around to anyone who read the whole post.
Update!
General | Posted 7 years agoTo those awaiting work from us, our internet went down at 7am and we're without it until we get to the new place. Work is being done, but our mobile hotspot connection is too slow to really upload things effectively. We only recently became aware there would be a gap in our internet service, and we didn't expect our phone connection to be so dismal. So, anyway, we're going to focus more on moving-type things right now, and we'll start getting files back to people again on Thursday or Friday when the new internet is set up and ready to go.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to inbox us. We still have phone access, but it's just not suitable enough to upload our files at this time. In fact, I'm posting this from a phone because FB won't even load on my tablet right now. I watched the loading circle spin for 20 min, and when it stopped, my screen was still blank. 😠
Thanks for bearing with us. We're so excited to start getting files back to people and uploading some of our "moving" pics. Apologies for this brief delay, but we're hoping it'll be the last for a long while.

Nearing 1000 Watchers - How do we celebrate?
General | Posted 7 years agoWe're looking for ideas. We wanna do something fun when we hit 1000 watchers. What would you like to see from as a celebration?
Head's Up
General | Posted 7 years agoWe're gonna upload a batch of YCHs we recently did, so there's gonna be cows all over your submissions here in about 30 minutes. You've been warned.
Empty Gallery - MOVED TO SCRAPS & FOLDERED
General | Posted 7 years agoIf you notice our gallery is briefly empty, it's because everything has been foldered and moved to scraps to make room for our new, current art. These were all old as hell, but they're still here for anyone who commented, favorited, or want to use our post as a link to their piece.
New stuff coming soon. Y'all are gonna get tired of seeing Rancidious on the front page. Sorry not sorry!

The session will be streamed for you on Picarto or JoinMe, and you can decide whether it's private or public. All requests must be feasible for us to complete within the proposed time frame, give or take 15 minutes. Additional work to complete a piece that ran over on time can either be purchased by the hour or we can quote an off-stream upgrade price based on our current progress and pricing. Massive Update
General | Posted 7 years agoHello, all!
As this is something of a massive update, we're gonna go in pieces and parts here for a second. There's a lot of information to communicate.
First of all, we've been potentially quieter than ever before throughout July, and that's due largely to the fact that we've been working diligently to return all outstanding pieces before the month's end. And we're VERY close!!! Given that we had a tablet out for repairs for 2 weeks, a broken charge cord, and a number of unexpected developments in our personal lives, we're VERY proud of what we've managed to accomplish so far. We may not have 100% of pieces completed by the end of tomorrow, but we shouldn't need more than maybe a week into August.
On a related note, once the queue is finally empty, we're moving to a new 'daily slot' system, which will result low- to no-wait times. Same day turnaround times on almost every piece, and not longer than 1 week under normal conditions. A lot of factors played in to the current situation that is finally being resolved, most of which were very personal and utterly beyond our control, but we feel the new system will almost wholey protect against history repeating itself. We don't ever want to put ourselves back in this position in the future, and more importantly, we don't want to put our clients through it again either.
We're also going to be updating our prices soon. We're currently working to finalize the new product and pricing list, but we do have a few things solidfied that we can go ahead and share:
-Prices are being updated to more accurately reflect current skill level and the time required of each product offered
-There is a new style (noir) that will be finding a permanent home on our new product list
-Limited color is evolving to a similar but slightly different product than you've seen in the past
-There will be a more significant divide between what we consider 'toony' vs 'full' style, as 'toony' is becoming more extreme in its cartoony-ness (if that's a word)
-Timed sketches will still be available and are being adapted to our new rate, which will be $20/hr for all paid-time pieces
-We're introducing 'wing it' or 'grab bag' type commissions, which will be available at a lower cost but involve a higher degree of artistic liberty/freedom
-Comic panels will no longer be offered until we can work toward making them in a more efficient and affordable way
There's more, but those are some of the highlights thus far. You can expect the price sheet to be posted sometime in the next 2 weeks and to go into effect around Sept 1.
Another new thing, alongside the new 'slot' system and price update, we're also excited to announce that we'll be rolling out a group of characters that will be made available to anyone who is interested in interacting with them through art, via commissions as well as YCH's that we'll put out from time to time. Due to time constraints, we unfortunately will not be heavily RP'ing with these characters, but we will be posting reference art, full bios, and fun factoids about them. We are also working on a Toyhouse account that will be housing most of the information about them. Our primaries will be a poodle called Melrose and an Andalusian horse called Riley. Some of the other species you can expect to see include:
-Spotted pig
-Cobra
-Panda
-Sheep
-Armadillo
-Shark
-Caracal
-Bull
-Dragon
-Lion
-Wolf
-Vulture
-Zebra
-Iguana
-Rabbit
-Frog
We're still working to finalize the whole list, but there are a few for you to consider. And that means we have lots of reference art to do as well. Once we finish our current queue, of course. We're super hype to finally have characters we can share with you guys, though. It's been a long time coming.
Similarly, we'll be overhauling all of our social media with newer examples and regular posting. We're adding a Twitter, Instagram, and (as previously mentioned) Toyhouse to the mix, as well as keeping up with our Facebook and FurAffinity accounts. For the time being, we've deactivated our Patreon, at least until we have time to start putting out our own content. We do have a multimedia project in very slow development, but we don't really expect to be able to get very deep into for at least 18 months or so. But we've replaced it with a Ko-Fi in the meantime.
Lastly, we just want to thank anyone and everyone who has stuck with us through this rough patch. We're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and we've learned so much about 'what not to do' to at least try avoiding it in the future. We realize there will always be things that happen, and you can't plan for everything, but you can at least formulate a plan that will mitigate damages to clients when they inevitably *do* happen. That's what we'll be doing going forward. No one is perfect, but we do aim to keep improving.
If anyone has any questions or concerns about any of the above information, or even if you just want to check in on the progress of your piece, please do not hesitate to reach out. It is our belief that we have gotten updates to *almost* everyone within the month of July. If you haven't received an update yet, please contact us. We've had issues where some updates didn't go through, and beyond that, our memories are not infallible. There is a chance that we progressed a piece and literally just forgot to send it along. We don't want anyone feeling left out, especially if it was just a slip in memory. Please, please, please reach out. We want to know.
Thank you again. Cookies all around to anyone who read through the whole thing. We love you guys and cannot possibly express enough how much you all mean to us! <3

Thank you again. Cookies all around to anyone who read through the whole thing. We love you guys and cannot possibly express enough how much you all mean to us! <3
Family in Town
General | Posted 8 years agoUpdate: We will be answering messages somewhat sparsely for the next few days. We have family in town from today (Sat, Feb 24) through Tues (Feb 27) to celebrate Megg's birthday on the 25th. Please bear with us, as we will be focusing our attention primarily on family during the listed time frame.
Pending Commissions Update
General | Posted 8 years agoJust a quick update: We've had some really personal stuff going on lately, most of which I don't really feel comfortable getting into on a public forum, but all pieces are still in progress and updates will be coming. We're VERY sorry for the delays you've all experienced, but no one has been forgotten. Also, we recently had some issues with emails (both to and from us) going missing, so if anyone emailed us and didn't receive a response, this may have affected you. It seems to be working correctly again, but none of the old emails seem to have ever showed up. Apologies again for how our recent issues have affected productivity and speed of turnaround, but we're trying very hard to overcome a plethora of issues and get back on track. <3

Rancid Art Studio - Terms of Service
General | Posted 8 years ago(Updated: 2 May 2020)
Please read the following terms of service thoroughly before attempting to commission work from our studio.
Terms are subject to change at any time, but new terms will never be retroactively applied to any piece commissioned prior to said changes.
Clients are responsible for reading and understanding our terms of service prior to commissioning art. If you are unclear about any of our terms of service, please feel free to ask for clarification before placing your commission. Questions received once a piece has been commissioned will still be answered, but as-is terms will still apply to any commission that has already been ordered.
GENERAL
1. By ordering a commission, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below and will be expected to adhere to them.
2. This studio is jointly run by two artists and a social media manager/personal assistant. Commissions are made with the studio itself, and work may be completed by either artist at the studio's discretion. Clients are not permitted to choose which artist works on their pieces. This rule applies to both in-stream and out-of-stream commissions. The studio does, however, guarantee that all final products will be held to the studio's historically precedented quality.
3. All members of studio staff equally represent the studio and possess equivalent levels of information in regard to the studio. Clients are not permitted to direct their questions to any specific member of the studio and are required to accept the answers of any member as official and final. Requesting not to communicate with a specific staff member is only allowed in very specific cases. If you believe you have such a case, please contact us to discuss.
4. We reserve the right to decline any commission for any reason, be it specified or unspecified. To date, commissions have only been declined due to a lack of in-stream slots, a client-specified deadline that we felt we would be unable to meet, and/or requested content that appears on our ‘Will Not Draw’ list, which is included below for your convenience.
Will Not Draw List:
-Scat ¹
-Diapers
-Sexualized minors/cub
-Hate art or bigotry of any kind
-Revenge art
-Fetishization of certain groups (transgender, race, religion, etc)
-Feral x Anthro NSFW ²
-Feral x Human NSFW ²
-Non-con/Rape ³
-Hyper muscle
-Extreme hyper ⁴
-Anal vore
-Necrophilia
-Art for or involving characters belonging to anyone with credible allegations of art theft, scamming, stalking, rape, murder, zoophilia, child/minor predation, or belonging to any hate group. We, of course, cannot screen every client, but people known to be in any of the previously mentioned groups will be quietly and privately blacklisted.
¹ Water sports are accepted.
² Human x Anthro and Anthro x Anthro is accepted.
³ Implied non-con is accepted if the owners of all characters involved are consenting.
⁴ As defined as ‘a body part the size of a room’ or larger. Exaggerated proportions to a lesser degree than described are accepted. Macro/micro is also accepted.
If you have questions about anything else, please ask.
We reserve the right to turn down any content that makes us uncomfortable, regardless of whether or not it is listed above.
5. Currently, our ‘Will Not Draw’ list consists of only the items listed above. What does or does not constitute these themes will be at the sole discretion of the studio. We also reserve the right to amend this list to include any additional subject matter without warning.
6. Inappropriate and/or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. When such behavior occurs, a warning will be given to cease and desist immediately. If the behavior continues, action (up to and including the cancellation of a commission or the blacklisting of a client) may be taken at the studio's discretion.
7. Any parties discovered to be involved with or actively participating in the certain activities will be blacklisted.
Blacklistable Offenses:
-Art theft
-Scamming
-Stalking
-Rape and/or sexual assault
-Murder
-Commissioning NSFW art while underage
-Pedophilic activities or roleplay
-Grooming/preying on children/minors
-Commissioning, sharing, or favoriting sexualized minors/cub
-Zoophilia
-Animal abuse/torture
-Harassment toward the studio or any of its staff
-Disparaging our clients or their commissions from the studio
-Actively belonging to any hate groups, regardless of virtual or real world
Blacklisted parties will no longer be allowed to:
-Purchase art from our studio
-Have art purchased on their behalf
-Have their characters included in joint commissions
-Pledge to our Patreon
-Interact with the studio and its content in any way via ban/block (in extreme cases)
In nearly all cases, blacklisting is permanent and will not be lifted for any reason.
COMMISSION INFORMATION
1. All commission inquiries are welcome, and we are happy to answer any and all questions regarding a potential commission. Though, we do ask that clients are patient with us regarding response time. We try to answer all messages as quickly as possible, but there are occasional delays.
2. References for a commission may be submitted via written description, photos/pictures that represent desired qualities/appearances, color palettes, previously completed art, or any combination thereof. Others' art that is unrelated to your specific commission may be submitted for inspiration, but we will not knowingly replicate or steal the intellectual property of any person or entity.
3. Clients are responsible for seeking and receiving permission from other parties to use or include their intellectual property in a commissioned piece. We take no responsibility for seeking, receiving, or verifying this permission. Additionally, clients are not permitted to require that we personally seek their permission before others be allowed to commission pieces that include their intellectual property.
4. Only clients 18+ are allowed to commission NSFW art. Both character and admin of any character featured in NSFW art must be 18+ as well. By commissioning NSFW art, you are confirming that you, all involved parties, and all involved characters are 18+.
5. Queue work is largely, though not necessarily, determined by the date a piece was ordered/paid. We reserve the right to alternate between pieces as the studio sees fit for both creativity and efficiency purposes. Our public queue can be found here: https://trello.com/b/lnTtDtfE/ranci.....t-studio-queue
6. Standard queue commissions will not be completed via stream. We reserve the right to hold commission streams at our discretion, regardless of our queue, as these commissions are handled entirely separately from in-stream commissions.
7. For in-stream commissions, the artists will occasionally require additional information or clarification from clients. Clients will be given a reasonable amount of time (no less than 15 minutes) to answer artist queries. If no answer has been received at the end of the allotted time and the artists are unable to proceed without an answer, we reserve the right to begin or continue work on another client's piece until an answer is received, at which time work will recommence as soon as is convenient.
8. Stream commission slots will be offered on a first-come, first-paid basis. Slot reservations are not allowed.
9. We may choose to pause your in-stream commission prior to coloring so that the color process can be completed offline. The studio's most experienced colorist does not generally stream her work, and allowing this will result in a better end product for you, the client. Color will usually be completed within 1-3 days of the stream's end, and clients will be notified if any delay occurs.
CHANGES & ALTERATIONS
1. Submitted references must be clear and complete. Any errors made within the provided details will be corrected at no additional charge. Any perceived errors made to a piece due to unclear or incomplete references will be completed at the studio's discretion and may potentially carry an associated fee. We will make an attempt to gain clarification on any details that we find unclear or confusing before proceeding, but we will not hold up progress on a piece due to lengthy delays (more than 24 hours) in communication from the client.
2. Commission details must be solidified before we begin work on a piece. Any drastic changes made to the content or concept of a piece once we've begun work on it will carry an additional fee to compensate for the work already completed.
3. Unless otherwise stated, clients will be provided WIP updates at each stage of a piece at both undersketch and lines, as well as a final once-over when the piece is completed. Clients will be given ample time (no less than 24 hours) to approve the work at any given stage. Once a stage has been approved, work will continue on the piece as our schedule allows. If longer than the allotted approval time has passed, we reserve the right to continue the piece as if approval was given. Any changes requested to any stage of the piece, once the work has progressed beyond that stage, may carry an associated fee.
4. For commissions of $20 or less, we will allot 5 minutes to on-the-house client changes at no additional cost. For commissions between $21-50, we will allow 10 minutes of changes at no additional cost. For commissions over $50, we will allow 30 minutes worth of changes at no additional cost. Changes beyond those described above will be made at the studio's discretion and charged at a rate of $1.25 per 5 minutes with a 5 minute minimum.
PRICING & PAYMENT INFORMATION
1. Do not send payment until we have agreed to accept your commission to ensure both our availability and correct pricing.
2. Payment is required up-front and prior to the studio beginning work on a commissioned piece. Regardless of how intricately a commission has been discussed, it is not considered officially placed until some degree of payment has been received. If the original specifications of a piece are altered after payment has been sent, the client will be required to appropriately compensate for those alterations.
3. Installment plans are available and generally granted upon request for pieces costing $40 or more. The minimum downpayment on any piece, in order to hold its place in our queue, is $20. However, certain percentage thresholds will be required before specific stages of a piece are completed. We are happy to discuss your options upon inquiry.
4. Studio pricing will be defined by our most recent pricing schedule. Finding an outdated pricing schedule does not entitle a client to outdated prices, nor does an incorrect price quote entitle a client to more services than were paid for. It is the client's responsibility to double check any price quote given to ensure it seems correct. If it is found that an incorrect quote was given for a piece before it is completed, the error will be explained to the client and the client will be presented with the options available to them. These options will generally include (but may not be limited to) paying the price difference which would allow the studio to complete the piece to the desired stage or a the offer of reaching a reasonable stopping point that does not leave the client with an unfinished piece of art or require any additional payment. Any price that was correctly agreed upon within the 2 weeks prior to a price change will be honored for an additional 2 weeks following the price change, unless a longer time period has been explicitly specified by the studio.
5. Pricing is shown/quoted in USD, and payment should be submitted in USD as well.
6. We generally accept payment via PayPal through the following quick-pay link: https://www.paypal.me/rancidarts. Invoices are available upon request. If you require a different payment platform, please inquire about other options.
DEADLINES & REFUND POLICY
1. If requested, deadlines can often be accommodated. If a requested deadline feels implausible or impossible for any reason, we will communicate that and allow the client to choose whether they would like to commission the piece with a longer deadline or withdraw the commission request entirely. We will respect either choice without question, just as we expect clients to respect when we must decline a requested deadline for any reason. Any deadlines must be addressed prior to officially placing any commission. We reserve the right to decline any and all deadlines communicated after a piece has been commissioned and placed into our queue.
2. Once a requested deadline has been agreed upon, the studio will make every attempt to meet said deadline. However, we do still aim to receive client approval at each stage of a piece, which can cut down on pen-to-tablet time between the time of the order and the chosen deadline. Clients may be asked to choose in the ordering phase whether meeting the deadline or WIP approval is most important to them to help guide us if/when we have to choose between the two.
3. A strict deadline must be necessitated by good reason (e.g. gifts, life events, business endeavors, etc.) and will only be considered under those circumstances. However, impatience cannot, in good faith, constitute reason, and abuse of the deadline system may result in the studio declining any future deadline requests from that client.
4. Refunds will be considered in matters of extreme financial emergency, but only if a piece has not yet been started.
5. Outside of extreme financial emergencies, refunds are not permitted unless the piece has not been started and it has been more than 5 months since payment in full was received.
6. Once a piece has been started, refunds will not be considered under any circumstances.
7. If a client chooses to abandon a piece for any reason (e.g. break-up, falling out with a friend, character has been sold, etc.) after it has been started, payment for the piece will be reduced by the amount of work already completed but remaining funds may be applied to a different commission.
COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE
1. Communication regarding a commission is currently accepted in a variety of ways, some of which are more reliable than others.
2. The safest and most reliable way to communicate with the studio about your commission is via email at rancidarts@gmail.com, though it is not necessarily our preferred method.
3. Other popular forms of communication with the studio include, but are not limited to, the Rancid Art Studio's Facebook page inbox, FurAffinity via note to Rancidious, Discord message to rancidious#9093, or via our Discord server: https://discord.gg/XhG2sCN
4. Please consider that commission descriptions, references, and other various details may become lost or corrupted if/when accounts are deleted/deactivated. In such cases, it may be necessary to re-send such details.
5. It is best, though not required, for clients to include an email address in early communication so that the studio has a fool-proof method of contact outside of less reliable, account-based websites.
6. The studio will first attempt to send WIPs via a client's original or preferred (if noted) method of contact, and full-size, high resolution end-products will be delivered via Dropbox link using the same method as described above. It is the client's responsibility to then save the work locally, as Dropbox files may be deleted without prior warning.
RIGHTS, COPYRIGHT, & PERMISSIONS
1. Unless otherwise agreed upon, all rights to studio artwork belongs to the studio and its artists.
2. All rights to the intellectual property within a commissioned piece remain solely with their respective owners.
3. The studio reserves the right to post the work as it deems fit, as well as reserving the right to choose not to post a piece without explanation. All intellectual property within a piece will be credited to its owner unless otherwise requested to keep that information private.
4. The client may use the commissioned image for personal use only. Commissioned work may not be used for merchandise, reproduction, or any other commercial function without studio permission, and intent to use the work for such purposes should be disclosed prior to commissioning the piece.
5. The studio reserves the right to charge an additional fee, require a percentage of sales, or outright decline a client's request to use commissioned work in a commercial capacity.
6. Commissioned pieces may not be changed or edited in any way without explicit studio permission. The studio must always be credited when posting studio work. Clients are not permitted to trace, replicate, or otherwise take credit for the work in any way.
7. If a client wishes for a commission to remain private (e.g. should be excluded from the studio's portfolio, cannot be posted to the studio's social networks or public sites, etc.), this intent must be made clear during the ordering process and will carry a privacy fee of 25% of the total cost of the commission.
8. Private commissions are not permitted to be posted on public websites under any circumstances. If any portion of a private commission is found to be posted publicly by the client, the privacy agreement with the studio is effectively terminated without notification or refund of the privacy fee.
ADOPTABLES
1. Adoptables, whether pre-made, mystery, or custom, become the intellectual property of the client upon purchase.
2. Designs may be tweaked or changed in any way the client sees fit after purchase in future art; however, the original artwork must remain intact and unchanged.
3. Such characters are permitted to be sold by the owner but must not be sold for more than the original price paid for the design and/or accompanying artwork.
4. The studio must be credited for the design and original artwork when selling such a character, and it is the responsibility of the original client to make new purchasers aware of the crediting requirement when moving forward.
BASES & LINEART
1. All studio lineart and bases are currently Patreon-exclusive and may not be shared with non-patrons for free or profit.
2. Bases and lineart can be edited within reason via a client adding their own lines/edits.
3. They can be used to make personal/gift art for the client and/or their friends without profit or to make adopts/commissions for profit.
4. The RAS signature may not be removed for any reason, though it can be resized within reason or moved to a more aesthetically pleasing spot on the canvas.
5. No one is permitted to use/post work on studio bases/lineart without credit to the studio.
6. Use of studio bases/lineart to include hate symbols or express/imply any subject matter from the studio’s ‘Will Not Draw’ list is not allowed.
7. Breaking any of the above rules may result in the offending client to be banned from access to and use of said bases and lineart moving forward.
PATREON
1. We will make every attempt to complete all Patreon rewards, group or personal, by or before the pledged month’s end. However, in rare cases, delivery may be slightly delayed. When delays occur, patrons will be notified and rewards will still be completed and delivered in as timely a manner as possible, regardless of whether the patron continues to pledge at the end of that pledge month.
2. Interaction on Patreon posts is highly appreciated and encouraged, though we do request that all interaction be kept polite and civil, especially in cases of bidding and/or limited slot claim.
3. Patreon-exclusive content or early access content is marked as such. Sharing this content prior to official studio release is not allowed under any circumstances.
4. Any patron found to be committing a blacklistable offense will be addressed in private. The offense will be described, giving the client one chance to potentially explain the action, provide necessary context, or clear up any possible misunderstanding. If the explanation does not sufficiently negate the offense, the client’s most recent pledge will be refunded (so long as there are outstanding rewards still owed), the client will be banned from Patreon, and all other blacklist restrictions (as described previously) will be applied. Studio decisions regarding these situations will be deemed official and final.
PICARTO STREAMS & DISCORD SERVER
1. Both Picarto streams and our Discord server have their own similar sets of rules.
2. Rules are clearly displayed, and we expect everyone to follow them in accordance.
3. Breaking the rules within our Picarto streams or Discord server will be met with a three-strike system for less extreme infractions. However, more intense violations may be met with an immediate ban, and the most extreme situations could carry the penalty of a client’s full blacklisting as well.
Please read the following terms of service thoroughly before attempting to commission work from our studio.

Clients are responsible for reading and understanding our terms of service prior to commissioning art. If you are unclear about any of our terms of service, please feel free to ask for clarification before placing your commission.
NUKING SUBMISSIONS - Restarting gallery soon
General | Posted 8 years agoHead's up that I'll be clearing out my submissions soon to sort of start over, to give myself something of a clean slate from which to begin uploading regularly.
Going to be doing it sometime in the next 3 days, so make sure you save anything you want before I do it!

Little update!
General | Posted 9 years agoI've been so quiet lately because I've been focusing on nuking my backlog. There's still a tiny bit to do, but I'm finally back at a place where I feel ready to tackle new commissions again and to get back to streaming regularly.
So that being said. Next week is going to be a complete PWYW week - that means there won't be work on out-of-stream commissions, and each day a complete work load from that day will be getting finished. I should be able to stream from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM EST, and then again from 6:15 PM - 11:15 PM EST each day.
I'm really looking to skyrocket back into the fray, so don't be shy about asking if you're interested. To give everyone an idea, I generally will accept a little less than my standard prices on PWYW sales, but a good guideline is sort of think $10 an hour of work vs. my usual estimated rate of $15 an hour.
As always, PWYW etiquette includes being ready to pay once we've decided on subject, details and type of commission, and before I start the undersketch.
All in all don't you dare be shy about asking if you're interested! I'm happy to talk it out and show examples in stream, always.
If you have any questions or would like to go ahead and reserve a slot, please message me on here or send an e-mail to rancidarts@gmail.com!
Other things I'm aiming to get done over the course of the next month, is to start uploading the art I do regularly, and to give my websites and themes a complete and cohesive overhaul, complete with more upfront and visible price sheet.
PWYW STREAM!
General | Posted 10 years agoI'll be aiming to make this an every friday thing, but - doing a PWYW stream with a $3 minimum - the more you pay the more you get!

STREAMING!
General | Posted 10 years agoIf anybody has any interest in dropping by to chill, the stream is up and going. Starting with an outstanding commission, and I have one other slot taken - after that, I'm open to taking in-stream commissions. Prices listed on Picarto!

AND A GENERAL QUESTION. I'm still feeling things out, but would you guys like if I made a journal announcement for when I'm streaming? I do it pretty much almost every weekday, so I can see where that would get HELLA annoying. Or would it be better to post a notice when I'm doing a stream where I'm taking commissions in-stream? Curious for opinions, still finding kind of a mojo for this stuff on here.

Some Updates + COMMISSIONS NOW OPEN
General | Posted 10 years agoSo I've had a lot on my plate lately, hence the sudden absence. I'm still setting everything up here - clearly - but, among the chaos, I've finally gotten some of my base prices up here and I am ready to begin accepting commissions now.
If you want to see my prices, I've at last updated my commissions tab - which you can find by clicking here. I will literally try my hand at pretty much anything! Human, anthro, aliens, fantasy creatures, mechs, fiendish creatures of the abyss, monster boys, monster gals, monster anything in between, beasts and beauties alike; and I definitely take both adult and kid-friendly commissions alike. I'm willing to try drawing anything at least once, so until further notice, I genuinely have no 'will not draw' list - if that needs be added in the future, it will.
I take payments via paypal, and pay in whatever currency you need to - it just needs to equate to the USD prices listed (google's great for calculating these things). I will also arrange for payment via snail-mail if you have no other means of payment but are DEADSET on buying from me.
Now that being said, I'll admit - I've never employed a slot system before, but what I DO do is keep track of my current commissions. For now, this will be a list of my commissions from FA only, though that may change in the future. Beside each I'll put down the deadline for that piece, so that when you're ordering, you have at least some idea of what kind of a wait you might be in for. Most of the time I work faster than the estimated date, and if I ever need to extend it, I'll generally let you know as soon as I can and check to make sure that's alright.
So with all of that said, AT LAST, let's get a pending commission list up here and going:1.
- Fullbody sketch/Sketch comic (Both done within next two weeks)2.
- Pending.3.
- Full Ref (Start this week, finish next) If you're interested in claiming a spot, either note me here on FA or send an email to rancidarts[at]gmail.com with the details of your commission, and we'll get everything sorted out.Back and ready to do some art! (REQUESTS NOW CLOSED.)
General | Posted 10 years agoHey everybody! So I know I signed up awhile back and kinda just wandered off, but things have fallen into place so that I'm ready to come back and be active. Sort of excited to, if I'm honest. I'm willing to take some requests for a little bit, if anybody has any.
I'm looking for some character work to bolster my portfolio before I start taking commissions, so get it while it's free!
