Moved Accounts + Happy New Year, and Farewell RandallBeas...

With 2024 coming to a close, it's time to say goodbye to RandallBeast19. Now I'm not leaving Fur Affinity. I'm a furry. I love this place, even if I do have my fair share of criticisms in regards to how this place is maintained. I don't ever plan on leaving. Being a furry is who I am, it's a part of my very identity. I am Ranpan Peridye.
I'm merely moving on from this account. RandallBeast19 is a bygone era for me. I wish I put more thought into my username when I first made this account. I'm not RandallBeast19, I've not called myself that for years. The name just doesn't represent who I am in the fandom, how I wish to present myself, and I'm tired of Fur Affinity's absurdly slow process of trickling out these basic features, so I just went ahead and made a new account.
When the clock strikes midnight (CT), this account will be abandoned. I won't be responding to comments, shouts, checking my notes, anything of the sort. However, I'm not going to disable, or deactivate. Even though I want to move on, I'm not getting rid of this account. I don't want the content to disappear, all the fave and comments I've left, all the memories to go away. This account will remain up as an archive to my old content. Don't worry about it disappearing.
Thank you so much for the over 11,000 views and over 600 faves! I hope to see y'all over on my new page as that'll be my new home in the furry fandom: Ranpan_Dergicon:

R.I.P. Dragoneer
Posted a year agoThis just came as a complete shock to me. I had no idea Dragoneer was fighting an illness, but it's true, the man behind FA has sadly passed away at the age of 44. The cause of death is unknown at the moment, but it was either a rare bacterial fungal infection, or advanced stage lung cancer from what I'm seeing online.
I never met you, but I know the impact you had on the furry community and your contributions to it. It was thanks to you that I found a home away from home, a place where I belong, and getting to co-mingle with similar like-minded furs with boundless imagination. I am grateful for all you've done, all the people you've touched with your actions.
I want to say, thank you. Thank you for giving me a place where I can be myself, and thank you for all you've done for the furry fandom at large. You will be missed. And I hope you're resting well, free of pain in the afterlife. Goodbye, Dragoneer.
And don't worry about the fandom, we'll keep on truckin' along for you.
