We can absolutely disagree about where money should be spent, who should be in office, how officials should conduct themselves, how to build cities, how we should operate the economy, which nations we should pursue closer ties with, how we should "go back to the good ol' days" etc etc

That is, until you start talking about which group of people shouldn't have rights. About how some people don't deserve due process, or how autistic people need to be "cured". How we need to inspect kid's genitals because we need to stop trans people from getting into the wrong bathroom. How we need to enshrine "christian" values into law, while simultaneously cutting any safety nets for the poor. About how we need to cut medicaid, or make sure help is only going to "those who really need it" (in the process, making it so that only people who can fill out paperwork can get it). Those are a-political, and anyone who supports those policies (ESPECIALLY stripping rights!) is a monster. And Trump's worse than that- he's a nazi! He supports nazi ideas (EI: ethnostate, purity, genocide), had a major nazi supporter (Elon Musk), and hating on nazis is about the most a-political thing that has been politicized.

also, if you're a christian. Remember that it is easier for an elephant to fit through a needle than it is for a rich man to reach heaven. Do you really want a rich man atop your christian nation?

hey, I've recently come into the idea of blocking the characters and shapes out then adding details around them, instead of doing a sketch layer then adding color to that. I wanna test it out more, so if you want free art just comment what you want. What tone, specific details, lore, etc but also don't expect anything too complex or polish (in fact, expect a distinct lack of polish)

Personally I think this will add a lot to the general usability of FA (nothing kills a bonner quicker than an extreme kink that you're very not into in my opinion), and people should start tagging their posts more (not because of the blocklist specifically, more that it helps people who want to see your post find it and lets people who don't want it avoid it better). I think AO3's tagging system is the gold standard, and every tagging system should try to be more like it, and this is a step in the right direction from FA

Hello everyone. I'm saddened to say that  Dragoneer has passed away. My condolences to anyone who was personally affected by his passing.

And, as the most recent owner of FA, and probably the one subsidizing it, the future of this website looks grim. Now, I don't believe that FA will go down permanently. There's simply too many people wanting to keep it up, and more importantly with the financial ability to, for there not to be A solution. Now will that solution be particularly usable, friendly, or even generally good? Remains to be seen. Worst-case scenario from my understanding, FA gets bought up by some investors (that is said with all the loathing I have), who then monetize this website into the ground. Is that particularly likely? I don't know.

But this fandom is resilient. Even if FA becomes largely unused, the fandom will adapt. There might not be a website that gets as universally popular as it, there might not even be a dedicated "furry" website that becomes the main home of the fandom. But the fandom shall continue on, with of without it.
