I know I keep saying I'm usually quick at replying, but I need to take it easy with screen time the next few days.
A couple days ago, I experienced dizziness and even vertigo. I'm not certain but I think I'm getting cyber sickness from too much time on the computer, considering ive been constantly on the computer doing art the last few days and not to mention fiddling around on my phone in bed.
I've been getting eyestrain off and on for at least a couple of years but in recent weeks it's been getting more severe, and now, like I said, I'm starting to get headaches and dizziness.
I'm gonna visit an eye doctor asap and probably a general doctor to determine whether or not this is just the eyes or something more serious.
But in the meantime, I need to minimize screen time on my phone and computer. So I'm going to be a little slow at replies for the next few days.

I might open up a few more drawing or animation commissions within the next couple of weeks, but I want to see where my current finances take me.

In the mean time, I would like to announce that I'll soon be opening up fursuit commissions.
As you know, I've been getting into making my own fursuits. I made Willy and Bandit, and I'm currently working on the 2.0 of my Vaporeon sona RJ.

But I want to step it up and try to build something out of these skills.
Come 2026, I'm going to start making a line of generic head bases in my style and putting them up online for those who might want to commission me for a head.
The head bases that don't sell will be made into random species and put up for purchase with the option of adding hands, feet and a tail (this will of course add to the price). I still have to determine the price of the heads. But once I have them ready, I'll be putting them up for commission.

I'm about to take a trip across the ocean to South Africa, but I need to make a few extra bucks.
I need to get a few things before I go, and I also need to pay back a friend that did me a favor or two a while back. I can probably pay him back, but I won't have much money left when I take off and that'll leave me a couple days broke when I get there. So, if there's something you wanna commission me for, then feel free to contact me.

I've always considered myself a friendly, social person, and I appreciate when people want to add me as a friend and chat, but it's obvious now that I'm getting taken advantage of.
Over the last few months, I have received friend requests from people I do not recognize; no links, no mutual servers, no mutual friends, hardly any information about them. So, I ask them who they are, how they came across me, and why they want to be friends. Those are questions I ask anyone who wants to add me on Discord if I don't recognize them; I never liked to reject friend requests, so I give people the chance.
So, when I get these friend requests, I ask them my questions, and I get answers like:
"I don't know how I came across you, I just found your Discord tag." (my Discord link is publicly shown on only two places: FurAffinity and Inkbunny)
"I just saw your link and thought you looked like a cool guy."
"I'm just looking for friends"
"I think you're cute"
"I love your characters... Can I draw your character... Can you pay for this commission?"

I know what you're all gonna say: They're scammers. And I eventually came to that conclusion, myself, on all said people. So, you don't have to give me an earful about it.
Some of them talk now and then still, but many of them just chat a little bit and eventually disappear forever.

I'm going to make a purge on Discord. Deleting all of said people. From now on I will NOT accept friend requests from random people, unless I recognize the name of the person sending the request. Like I said, my Discord is accessible only through FurAffinity or Inkbunny, so if you wish for me to accept, you must send me a direct message on FA or IB.

Also, those of you who I do have on both Discord and Telegram, I'm going to go ahead and remove you from my Discord. It's nothing against you guys, I'd just prefer to narrow my friends down to one app or the other. That, and to be honest, I just prefer Telegram over Discord.

I had an idea what to do for Vore Day this year, but at the time, I was planning on hitting Eurofurence, and my idea mainly focused around a collaboration between myself and a couple other people at EF.
Unfortunately, I had to pull out of going to EF this year and I'm instead going to South AfriFur (the African furry convention).
So I really don't know what I want to do for Vore Day this year, and even if I had a few ideas, there's no way on Earth, Heaven or Hell I'd be able to get it finished in time.
I really hate when Vore Day comes along and I can't think of anything unique. >m<

Hey people, I've been a little off and on about this decision the last month, but I've decided to skip Furlandia this year.
For one thing, I wasn't able to get the time off, someone else at work scheduled a vacation at that time and it's first come, first served. I have Friday off on the schedule, but even if I were to go that day, I still have not preregisistered due to my finances, and judging by the registration line last year, I probably wouldn't be able to get my badge until around noon, and I would have to leave no later than 4, that won't give me much time to catch up with any old friends, and definitely not enough to visit the Dealer's Den - I won't have much money to spend anyway. So yeah, I'm not wasting my money on even a one day pass with that short a window.

If I can put in for Sunday, June 8 off, then I can probably attend WFS, but I am cancelling going to Furlandia this year.

I know I keep announcing that commissions are open. For the most part, I've been just trying to raise a little extra funds since I've been a little short, but now I really need some help.

Last week I was doing alright with funds, but this year, I'm going to SAFC (South AfriFur Convention), and they opened up online registration this last Friday. I was going to a wait a few days for when I could better afford it, but unlike most other cons, for SAFC, the admission includes hotel stay and 2 meals per day! I didn't realize how fast the tickets would go, and I had to spend pretty much the rest of my funds on my SAFC ticket immediately! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a ticket to the main hotel, I had to get the ticket in the secondary hotel >m<

I only had like $40 left for a whole week and I was trying to minimize my spending all week, and right when I was feeling like I was going to make it, I got hit with one of those fucking surprise-subscription charges that never alerts me before hand so I could probably have been ready. Now I'm over-fucking-drafted!!! DX

So that being said if there's anyone out there who'd be willing to help me out, it would mean a lot to me. Thank you.

I recently took a trip to VancouFur, but my paycheck for the remainder of the week after returning home was unfortunately not very big.
I'm trying to pay off a loan, but I also just had a doctor's appointment which is probably going to cost me another couple hundred dollars, so I'm looking into raising a little extra funds and I'm offering quick sketches for $15 each.

I'm in for a busy year.

First, I'm starting on my own animated film project, but this will take me a long time to work. I might post some of update of it on Patreon, but right now I'm only writing the script. So it'll be a while before I start sharing anything.

Second, I need to get some more 3D pen projects going. I'm planning on featuring some of my works at the art show at next year's Anthro Northwest. But I don't have a lot to feature at the moment, so im going to be very busy with those.

And finally, I'm taking a trip this year to South Africa 🇿🇦 . One of my closest friends here on FA lives in South Africa, and I'd like to go meet him irl, bit also I always wanted to see the African landscape and wildlife up close. I just thought it was a great opportunity. Furthermore, I'm going to be attending the only furry convention in Africa! Yes, Africa has a furry convention, it's called South AfriFur Furry Convention (SAFC) and it's held in Johannesburg, South Africa. I'm excited to go to this one!

So yeah, busy year for me. I'll probably open commissions only when I feel it's an emergency.

First off, to those of you who commented, thank you very much for your support, it really means a lot to me. However, I also had a few people who I spoke to directly on Telegram, talking trash about the person who nit-picked my commission. I had to correct them individually about this, but before anyone does this on my previous journal, I got something extra to add: As fucked up as that was, please don't talk trash about the guy; He has social anxiety, and he doesn't really think about these things. I'm pretty sure it wasn't his intention to hurt me about it. So again, please don't trash talk about the guy.

Some of you are probably wondering why I would post that rant in the first place telling everyone about that instead of talking to him myself. First off, I didn't really give any names, nor specified what commission due to the risk of humiliating said person. And second, to be honest, I have a form of social anxiety myself, and when people piss me off like that, I find it very difficult to let it go, let alone to go back and talk to them directly. He came to me on Vore Day asking how I was enjoying my 8/8, and I blew him off telling him I didn't want to talk about it with him about it.

So, I guess you could say that yesterday's rant was more an indirect message to him, as to why I was upset.
So that was why I posted that rant.
Due to our past history, a part of me still has a little respect for him and I'll give him a chance, so it'll be up to him.

I've created a new rule about commissions after Vore Day.
I had a vore commission which would have been perfect for Vore Day. And although my time was limited, I would have had it finished in time. But at the last minute they started nit-picking and I had to go back and completely redo part of it, and that totally set me back.
What pisses me off more was I generously offered to do this art for a discount price. Although I was trying to raise money for Megaplex, I was somewhat passionate about this project because it gave me something to do for Vore Day - that and they were also low on finances - I offered to cut them a little slack and do it for a discount price. But then they turn around and wanted to bring in another artist in on it, and for that he asked me if I'd be willing to cut my price down down even further (whereas he pays the other person the other the remainder of my offered price). It frustrated me that he did that, but nevertheless I agreed, and still he fucking nit-picked. Slicing my price and fucking nit-picking doesn't mix very well for me, and thanks to this setback, I was unable to finish it in time for Vore Day. The worst part was that the thing that kept me passionate about this piece was the anticipation for having it done in time for Vore Day, but now that Vore Day is past, my passion for it has gone out the window.

This isn't the first time this has happened to me. I've made a few offers to people in the past to do cheap commissions, but they nevertheless talk me into bringing my price down even further, and then they nit-pick the final result. Now to all of you reading this, can you sit there at your computer or on your phone and tell me that it's fair that they nit-pick my work after talking me into cutting my price?!!! Me making an offer is one thing, but people talking me into slashing my prices even further, no, not gonna have it.
So, I'm issuing a new rule about commissions: I consider myself negotiable when it comes to pricing, but if people want to talk me into cutting my prices down, then they have to give up their right to nit-pick. Basically, you get what you pay for.

I'm now closing commissions for the time being.
I got home just last night from the UK and I got a personnel project that I've been wanting to do for a long time. My sense of motivation has always been a little low with this, really the challenge to doing a project is really just getting started, but I shared this project with my friend Scotti-Biscotti while I was in the UK and now I'm having a newfound motivation to get going on this project.
I might start a Patreon page to allow people to view early works on this project, but I want to get a ways in before I do.

I might reopen commissions in August as we get closer to Megaplex, but it's really going to depend on how much money I save up. But Megaplex is going to be the only other con I attend for this year. The next con I attend will be ANW.
So yeah, for now, commissions are closed.

I attended Furlandia 2024 in Portland this last weekend. I'm home now, and just kinda having a downer day, but I assure you all that it's not post con depression.

For one thing, any con I attend, I usually am anticipating meeting up with some of my online friends, but not a whole lot of my online friends make it to a lot of the west coast cons

Second, not very many of the panels really caught my interest this year.

But here's the big bombshell that ruined part of the con for me: I finished my new fursuit just in time for the con, and I was really hyped up, ready to show it off at the con this year, but about halfway through the weekend, it got damaged, and I had to put it away for the remainder of the con

What happened was some douchebag, the other night, decided it would be cool to sneak in some acrylic fabric paint, and do some DIY crafting in the fursuit lounge of all places!!!! Then not only did they leave the paint tube laying around still open, but they left a mess of wet paint laying on the table. I set my gloves and props onto the table to cool down, not noticing there was wet paint on it, and when I put them back on, I had paint splotches all over the gloves, the arrow and even a small splotch on the tunic.

Thankfully it didn't get in the fur, but this nevertheless just ruined my evening this last Saturday night
I was just having a meltdown, cursing in the fursuit lounge when I found my gloves had paint on them

I actually think it might have been a kid because Furlandia has become a family friendly con in recent years and there were a lot of kids there. But kids or no kids, I was pissed! Even con ops was pissed about it. Bringing in sewing kits into the headless lounge is one thing, but paints should never be allowed in the fursuit lounge!
I was told by one of the con staff members sitting on guard at the fursuit lounge that next year, they are NOT allowing DIY craft kits in the lounge. There will be a station in a separate room with people who can do repairs to fursuits, but people will not be allowed to bring in craft kits in the lounge next year, but unfortunately that was about all they could do.

As for repairing the damage, I might be able to repair the tunic, but I'm going to have to remake the gloves and the arrow.

All in all, not that I didn't have any fun, but it was kind of a downer con this year.

I've been trying to raise money to pay off my expenses early for next month so I can focus on saving up for spending money for my upcoming trip to the UK.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
