I took my grandmother to the hospital early this morning because she had to have her arm operated on. But she's doing okay, so no worries there. As for me... I'm tired, and morose, for reasons I can't quite figure out. I have to get on the ball somehow and get back to drawing! I owe so much stuff. X3

General | Posted 13 years agoSo yesterday afternoon my dad went in to the doctor's. He had to have a check-up because it's been a week since his stint surgery.
Apparently, though, when they measured his heartbeat it was rather irregular still, so he's been re-hospitalized.

Trouble at home.
General | Posted 13 years agoMy little brother is becoming a real.... problem. Yesterday he got into a shouting match with my parents until he was purple in the face and screaming!
Out of the blue my dad had come home and taken me and John out to dinner at a local Mexican place. It was really nice, but he said that he'd taken us there to break the news to us: he'd recently had a physical done, and the doctor told him that not only does he now have diabetes, but that he's probably already had a minor heart attack from stress (since his cholesterol is rather low there's not much chance of it being from a blockage).
About a minute later he catches John texting under the table.
Dad was understandably upset, and CRUSHED his phone with his bare hands!
Things are really getting out of control. John's failing his classes, avoiding his after school clubs, refusing to do homework, and constantly getting into arguments and shouting matches with everyone and anyone!

I don't know what to do. I'm just... so miserable. I'm sorry, everyone. I'll post my art that's being inked when I get ahold of it, but for now I don't feel like working on anything new, or RPing with anyone. My apologies.

After a CAT scan and urine sample, the doc says I have a 2 millimeter kidney stone right above my bladder. The pain meds are working pretty well, though.

Okay, maybe not that bad, but ... I'm giving serious consideration to going back to being a lurker. Not that I wouldn't stop drawing, maybe, but I'd give a gigantic FUCK YOU to responding to any comments or notes or shouts oh here, sofurry, Yahoo, or anywhere else.
Drawing is feeling more and more like a huge hassle than a fun furry smutty exercise, partially because I'm unable to scan in any of it, and partially because I feel as if nobody pays any attention to it. I mean, I know that's not true, but...

Another thing that's bugging me is that I'm unable to participate in the fandom beyond faving art an stories. No cons, no meets, no livestreams, all because my parents are responsible in varying degrees for my lack of money, social life, and driver's license. It's a loooong fucking story...
So I see folks who I love like Agro or Yiffer doing streams and I'm unable to atend, or worse, am able to glimpse in before my goddamned dad tells me I've been on the goddamned laptop too goddamned long. There's no words to describe how infuriating that is! And at least twice it's actually prevented me from getting something, a story with the sexiest of orca hunks Darwen and...
Bah, fuck it.
I feel the same way about RPing. I log in, ten fucking people all want to fuck or chat at once!
That ain't happening, but as Vee says, I have no spine. I hate to let down my friends because I have a good heart, and I'd feel rude, mean-spirited, jerky, and guilty. But multitasking like that sucks the fun out of everything...

So apparently I'm having to rely on a few friends to scan in what art I've got, and unfortunately their scanner isn't working, or something, and they might not be able to work on it for a few days.

But hopefully after this, I'll be able to upload art much more often than I have been...

So my dad's a pretty astute observer when it comes to politics. Comes with being an ex-lawyer, I guess, but at any rate we were discussing gas prices the other day. I'd mentioned that gas prices had just about doubled since Obama's inauguration day, and we had a pretty good talk that resulted in a pretty... well, we've got almost all the bases covered when it comes to the question, "What's up with those goddamned gas prices?!?!?"
Okay, first off, he said that obviously the oil companies raise prices whenever there's a chance Democrats will get elected, because obviously they're terrified that the liberals will raise taxes on them. (Ignoring the fact that even the liberals nowadays are in the pocket of big business and would never do any such thing) In addition, I told him about several articles I've seen that say the oil-rich countries such as Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran don't stay in power through violence. They stay in power basically because they use their oil profits to give their citizens everything except human rights. :3 But this means that their GDP to debt ratio is so completely out of whack (even compared to Greece or the US) that they need oil prices to stay high just to keep from going bankrupt!
Gas speculators are part of the problem too but they're a relatively minor issue, and one that's easier for the liberals to attack compared to the oil companies who own them and the dictatorships halfway around the world nobody's going to be able to change.
It was either Romney or Santorum that accused Obama of driving up gas prices recently so the green movement could get funding, and to that I say: Stick your head back up your ass where it belongs, fatfuck.
*ahem*
My dad says he's got a little theory on the side that he hasn't heard anywhere else: The oil companies are also raising prices because they want the extra 40-50 bucks a month folks are getting because of the payroll tax cut. That way nobody will be able to see any benefits and they can accuse the left of not doing anything for the middle class...

Um, anyway, guys, sorry about not being online recently. My little brother had his 15th birthday on Saturday, and the party was... hrrrrrrnnnn. >_<
Plus, he had Friday out of school because of testing, and he and my baby sis had yesterday and today off as well! Stupid teacher workday... and my mom was staying home sick today. I can't even.... gah. Welp, anyway, sorry you guys. Can't help the circumstances. *sigh*
By the way, do you think I should draw Rykela as a BBW? Or as a Pyro? I'm just looking for ideas...

Sorry 'bout not bein' round for New Year's. I was... asleep. >.=.< I'm thinkin' bout going to ask a doctor about it cause I'm, like, sleeping all the time. It's unnatural!
Aaaaand our laptop's only got IE on it, which is incredibly shitty and bug-infested and prone to not loading pages and lagging.

Anyway, we finally got our new washer and dryer. They're actually... nice... They have the glass porthole doors in the side that spin, like the ones The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal give away! Woo! I can see how a half-wit kid could climb in one of those for a ride. XD
Oh, and my mom got a new bottle from Sally's Beauty Supply of some kind of plant oil shampoo. I was takin' a shower and looked at it out of curiosity, and the first ingredient list was Agua. I was like, what? What the fuck is Agua? If it's water, say it's water. Why do you need to pretend it's some fancy foreign ingredient? Unless, I dunno, they got the water in Europe... Anyway, I tried to think up a logical reason for why they didn't just call it water, but the best I could come up with was that the folks at Sally's thought we were so stupid if they said it was water we might try to drink it.
I started to get all offended, but then I remembered that Sally's customers regularly bought stuff like a 3-ounce tin of brown créme for like eighty dollars.
