$5 will get you a chibi of your character, as seen here. Additional characters in the same drawing are an extra $3 per character.
$15 will get you a painted character portrait or bust, as seen here. Additional characters in the same drawing are an extra $6 per character.
$30 will get you a full soft-cell shaded drawing of your character, as seen here. Additional characters in the same drawing are an extra $15 per character.

Posted 14 years agoI can't say that there's anywhere else I can think of where I can upload mundane character art only to have it be surrounded by buttsex on all sides on the 'recent uploads' page.
I also didn't know that there was not only a sneezing fetish, but a whole community based around that. But FA's ads have educated me otherwise.
Weirdness aside and all of the stigmas associated with the furry fandom and all the odd fetishes people have though,(which, you know, I'm not into, as any quick look through my submissions or favorites will tell you, but to each their own. Not like it's hurting anyone, I suppose.) I still prefer FA as an art community than anywhere else I've been. I've gotten more people that I don't know looking at my art here than anywhere else on the internet, and even if it's not fanart, it gets looked at.
And favorited.
And even COMMENTED on.
That, and people are generally genuinely friendly here. There are a lot of spectacular artists to follow that would likely otherwise get swept under the radar.
In relation to that, I want to say thank you to everyone who started following me and who favorited me because of the derpy little comic I made about my cat. It really is a nice feeling to have other people relate and respond to something I posted, and even if I don't get back to you about it, I appreciate it a whole lot.

Thesis year is sneaking up on me, and I want to get some money together for a film budget. For the curious, it's going to be a stop-motion film about a little girl (Su, for those who know my characters) who has a close encounter with a many-faced spider monster from a story her mother tells her.
So, money needing times means that I'm taking commissions. Right now I'm going to do something really crazy and make it 100% open, whatever you want, name your own price. I'll take on 5 right now and see how that goes, since right now I'm not doing a whole lot except for cleaning and working on making a Lilligant Gijinka cosplay for AnimeNext '11.
For naming-your-own-price, it's really going to be however much YOU think it's worth. I know some people get strapped for cash, so this is a good opportunity for people who would like nice art but don't want to spend a lot. From my experience with doing commissions for however much the commissioner thinks it's worth, too, people generally seem to be very fair about it. If you want to pay 2 bucks, 20 bucks, or 200 bucks, I'll do it.

Posted 15 years agoIt's kind of awkward to see that the last time I was really active was around Halloween.
Uuuuuh, I don't have much to say because I'm feeling braindead right now, except that I got a new tablet (hhhhhng) and I've gotten back into Rangarok Online again (which is like, the worst thing oh my gosh ever that I could've done for myself around now.) Classes begin again on Tuesday for me.
I told myself I'd draw more this year, and I'm adding to Homunculus sometime this week. (I'll see how that ACTUALLY goes, though...)

I go back this Saturday. Kind of excited because I'll be getting a Freshman roommate and I can show her around the city and stuff.
She seems really cool and is a David Bowie fan, which I can always appreciate.
In the mean time, I've been throwing a lot of stuff out. I'm a little disturbed about just how much junk has accumulated in my room, and yet I still feel reluctant to get rid of my old sketchbooks and stuff.
When I say old sketchbooks, I mean things from 2004 or earlier. On top of other stuff for the 6 years after that.
I don't know why I feel the need to hang on to stuff that I don't even look at anymore.
Oh, speaking of David Bowie. I watched Labyrinth last night and had a dream that I met David Bowie as a kid. He was showing me instruments he made from stuff like a plastic patio chair and a garden hose.
Edit: Also, check out the sketch folder. I just dumped a whole bunch of stuff there.

LARP and stuff.
Posted 15 years agoNext month, I'm going LARPing, and I'd like to do some quick commissions before then to generate a little extra money for expenses. I'm going to be doing colored ink bust portraits of people's characters at 12 dollars a pop.

Posted 15 years agoI feel like I just did nothing but sleep for a month. It's not even that anything is particularly wrong, I think, but I've just been extraordinarily unmotivated.
It might have something to do with getting back into Ragnarok Online again (which I totally told myself I was done with, but hurdahur, I lie. Oh my God, I LOVE the monsters in that game so, so much.)
Maybe. And Pokemon. Or maybe it's just turning 20 and being too displeased with myself over stupid things. (cry moar, emo kid.)
But yesterday, I drew a portrait of a deer-woman, so I guess things are getting better. It's a portrait, sure. But I want to do stuff again.
I think maybe I should combine two of these things and make little polymer clay figures of Pokemon and RO monsters. Like the Vanilmirth homunculus.

But yeah! Here's what the majority of this weekend has been dedicated to. Finally, some nice (?) stop motion to show to people. I did this short bit to help on a film student's thesis project. So, needless to say, taken out of context, a guy fighting off a dinosaur with a halberd is a little wtf. It's a film about script writing. The main character, Brooklyn (the guy in the suit), is wandering through a warehouse/office building of ideas and characters for film scripts.
Dur, dur, I make dolls move.
Also, After Effects is a pain in the ass for cleaning up. Even so, it still makes my life a whole lot easier.

Need help again
Posted 15 years agoI'll do a Pokemon of your choice (example) for 3 dollars with an additional 2 dollars for any extra Pokemon, or a sketch of a character's bust portrait (example) for 5 dollars.
These are going to be quick, meaning that they'll be finished probably within the hour of being started up. I'm doing 15 of these for right now.
(It seems like all I ever write journals for anymore is to beg people to pay me to draw. Sigh.)

I figured it'd be good for drawing less-humanoid things and loosening up with some good old-fashioned strange critter drawings.
