Posted 13 years agoSo. I went to FWA, which was my first furry con this weekend. Overall: It was the most fun I've had in a really long time. Friday, I got there pretty late in the evening but I got to go to the Matthew Ebel concert, which was totally amazing in every way. I also saw Fender and ended up stuttering his name cause I got really excited. After that I just pretty much went home after getting some Steak n' Shake for dinner. Saturday was super awesome. I got to suit but couldn't wear my head for long times cause I was a derp and forgot my drinks at home that morning, so I basically walked around headless a lot. I also got to meet 
Kyell that morning and had a total fangirl moment because I love his books. After his panel I dashed up stairs to get Green Fairy and tracked him down and got it signed <3
Saturday night was just as amazing as that morning. I went to see 2 the Ranting Gryphon perform and laughed more in that 1 hour than I have in months. Seeing all the fursuits there made me wanna get another one, but I know that's gonna have to wait and it's not that big of a priority right now. Oh, and apparently I look hawt in a bandanna xD
Sunday wasn't aaaas much fun as Saturday, which was to be expected as the con was winding down and everyone was leaving/getting ready to leave. I went to a panel and took another romp around the artists alley and dealer's den, and then came home. It was the most fun I've ever had at a con and I definitely look forward to going again next year <3

A small venting of emotion things.
Posted 14 years agoWe grow and move on. Those of our pasts are like haunting shadows who shape and create the persons we are today. Relationships form and, almost always, they will die. Even though the shadows of our past do not disappear in their entirety, being the shadows standing behind us as they are, we forget about them. Some people don't like change. This may be because they are afraid of it, or because they cannot adapt to that which has changed. I am one of those people. I fear change, for I fear being forgotten. The joyous relationships I once shared with people I have called friends have all but dried up like a puddle on a scorching summer's day. For the very few who have forgiven the mistakes I have made, listened to my whines, and been there for me when I needed someone most, I appreciate you all. I apologize to those who I have harmed in any way, and sadly cannot give the time wasted on me back to you. However you have all grown and moved on, while I sit sullenly forgotten, having what I fear the most happen. There is but one thing that should be said to this. As the the death knights who freed themselves from the Lich King's cold, remorseless grasp have said: We press on. Yes, I just geeked out a little bit. But this saying is true. We press on. Through the cold darkness we are thrust into by some unknown force's cold controlling hand, we will press on. Perhaps the light will be revealed at some point. I cling to those who have not forgotten me, and I call them my light.

Posted 14 years agoWhen people try to break me and hurt me, it makes me really happy I have certain people who love me there to make my life well again. I realized something over the last few days. No matter how many times someone or some people try to break me down, I'm happy I have those I love there to make me better. Not only do they snap me out of my state, they make me stronger. My MSN status for the last two or three days has been "Is there anyone who can save me from this curse? Is there anyone who can save me from myself?" Today, those questions have been answered. The people I love, the people who love me, are the ones who can save me from myself. They save me from the blackness of my mind and heart. And for them, I am truly grateful. I love my friends. <3

Posted 14 years agoYou end up dreaming about it two nights in a row. Seriously. I had a dream I was my worgen death knight and was wielding a giant sword and had to slay an army of undead, then the night after that I had a dream I fought the Lich King... WoW has invaded my dreams. T~T
The Oddities of Dairy Queen
Posted 14 years agoYeah, odd things happen at work from time to time. Tonight was the oddest I've had so far. An elderly man walks in and hands me two pennies and said to me, "Here, these are yours, I think you dropped them." I had no change on me before him entering, so they weren't mine and I put them in the little spare change cup we have on the shelf behind out message board on the counter. Then he asks me if he could speak with whoever was in charge or the manager. I went and got the MoD and she went to talk to him. He showed her a business card and asked where the homeless shelter was and said he'd been wandering around for 3 hours looking for it. She said she could call the number on the card for him or let him use the store phone to call it, and they both called the homeless shelter. I hadn't been paying attention to his clothes, but after that I noticed they were somewhat worn and a bit tattered. The homeless shelter didn't answer so we sat him down and got him a drink and offered him something to eat (for free) but he declined. He told my MoD that he had gotten brain damage in a car accident and while he was in the hospital his house burned down, and he had no idea how he got to where he was. He was originally from a city an hour and a half south of us, so we have no idea how he got here either. My MoD called the police so we could get him some form of help so he wouldn't start wandering around again and risk something happening to him, especially since he told us he had brain damage and didn't know how he got up here. She told him and he seemed a little distraught and got up and walked out. We all thought he was running from the police and was trying to hide from them. He actually just went outside to wait for them to come get him. It was interesting. Never had that happen before. We all felt bad for him and felt bad we thought he was hiding from the cops.

Posted 15 years agoI'm trying to revive a site I used to help run a year or two ago. It's an RP site subjected around... Naruto.... *growls a bit* BUT! BUT! AND THERE IS A BUT! (*points at mine* See? Right there.) It pretty much has free reign as far as creativity goes. I myself made a slew of anthro characters on it and no one cares really. It's a great site with great people and I'd really like to see it active again. So, for all my wonderful RP loving peoples here, do you mind giving it a shot pweeeease? *coony eyes*

Cons I plan on attending are: DragonCon, Anime Weekend Atlanta, and Midwest Furfest.
DragonCon and AWA are definite. MFF is still up in the air cause... I kinda have no one local that wants to go... X3; Anyway, these are cons I plan on attending for this year. Hooray! I hope to see lots of furs I'm friends with at DragonCon or AWA... But I'd definitely better see some of you at MFF. =3

Slight Rant
Posted 15 years agoI'm really kind of tired of art not getting recognized unless it involves a naked fur or yiff in some shape, form, or fashion. Don't get me wrong, I know there's good yiff pictures out there by talented artists I admire, and I like my yiff pics too, so don't get me wrong. I do get sick of clean, good pics not being recognized simply because they don't have boobs or a dick. It almost makes me not want to draw anymore. Perhaps that's why I don't draw very much right now. I hate it when a bad yiffy pic can get commissioned over a good clean pic. That's what really frustrates me. Okay. I've vented.
MomoCon 2010
Posted 15 years ago*crashes* Otay, I'm back from MomoCon 2010~ I has lots of stories to tell.
Day 1 - Alright, I got to the con cosplaying as Raguna from Rune Factory, met my friend Rai, glomped my friend Brittany, and then I met up with my friend Jax and her friends. We all introduced each other to each other (yay redundancy in a sentence). Jax and I hugged and then she and her friend, who is now also my friend, Matt Nix straightened my hair. Then we wandered around for a bit, checking out the Artist Alley's and whatnot while avoiding the Dealer's Room line cause it was ridiiiiiculous. In the Instructional Center we were standing at the bottom of the stairs and looked up to see someone in a skirt who was reeeaally fat so we all looked and said "Look at dat ass." After that we said that about everyone in skimpy cosplay/outfits. We ate lunch, then wandered around a bit more, then I saw one of my friends and his dad in line for the dealer's room line so we jumped [cut] in line with them (without anyone saying or noticing mind you) and got into the dealer's room no problem. The only thing I bought from it was a raccoon-eared hat and a MomoCon 2010 shirt. It was a girl's shirt cause they only had large and up in guy's and there was nooo way I was going to buy it. Then we went outside and I saw my friend who cosplays Ike and hugged her. I don't remember her real name cause I learned her name as Ike. Anyway, after that we went back to a different building and sat down for the rest of the evening while Matt Nix (his name is so fun to say) hosted a radio show for KSU. Oh yeah, Matt was dressed as a whore and was carrying around a yaoi paddle and giving/receiving spankings to/from people all day. Anyway, then we all went to this Asian restaurant called Ru-San's and it was amazing. Then I went to my uncle's house and crashed.
Day 2 - I got up, watched a movie with my uncle and ate breakfast, then went to the con. My friend Brittany didn't get to come this day, but Jax and all my other new friends were there. Today was pretty much cold, rainy, and windy, which is a crappy combo. Anyway, the con was significantly less crowded today than it was Saturday, which is usually the case for every con. We pretty much walked and sat a lot. I did see someone dressed up as Lady Gaga. We were sitting down and my friend Serena started singing Paparazzi to her and she sang it back. After that Serena and I looked at each and said we should stalk her because of the song, so we did and it took them a short while to notice, but when she did we started singing Paparazzi to each other again. Then she hugged me and said I was awesome, and I pulled out my camera and she started screaming Paparazzi and she started running and I chased after her with my camera shouting "I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me" and "I want your bad romance", which pretty much made everyone we ran past laugh, and I chased her all the way from the Instructional Center to the Student Center of Georgia Tech. Then she hugged me again and said I was awesome and she loved me and let me take her picture. It was a total ROFL moment. We did go into the Artist Alleys again and I got two commissions. One's a badge which I have to email/note the artist about so she can start it, and the other was a chibi pic of me, which much to my dismay got misted on by rain and crinkled cause I had to put it against my chest and then in my bag to save it, but it still looks great (and effing adorable). While I was sitting there watching the artist draw me, she said "You know, I used to only draw anthros." We started talking and it turns out she drew one of the pictures in the Guest Gallery section of the book Draw Furries which I have and have seen. She was really excited to know that I had seen it and I was excited to know I met an uber pawesome artist who was also drawing me in chibi form right in front of me. After that, we sat around a bit longer and the Jax and I had to leave.
All in all it was a great con for my second one. I had a blast, made some new friends, and look forward to it next year. =3
