Is it really that hard to have a drill where everything is not a total cluster fuck.

You can't push 3 batteries through a range and expect that everyone will qualify on their weapons in 2.5 days. We have men that after zeroing their weapons didn't even get to see the qual range.

As unsettling as the thought may be. I was doing dry fire missions from my house to the mountain with amazing accuracy using a app I found for public download. My phone is now a leathal weapon......system.

Curious......only 2 artillery exorcises. The rest of our training is infantry and helicopter based.

Now next year's deployment seems all the more interesting.

So yeah apparently I hold the highest score for Crew weapons in my platoon . So I was called into the room by not one SGT ,but a bunch of E7s and above. I have been voluntold that I am to be the Heavy gunner for my section ,and I will also be manning the 50. cal on convoys. when we deploy next year.

Lost a good friend in a fire fight this week. This is a major loss for his unit forward deployed, as well as his family , friends . He was one of the funniest little fuckers in both my BASIC and AIT platoons. May he rest in peace, or you know party in Valhalla.
