Okay, so I just got rid of a bunch of old crappy stuff that was cluttering my gallery. Now I will only be posting my stories (which I hope to get back into the swing of) and maybe art of me and my characters by other people. It feels good to get rid of the frankly embarrassing stuff I used to collect.

On a totally unrelated note, I recently took delivery of all the current issues of IDWs new Transformers Ongoing series of comics.

They're awesome.

I mean it.

This is a meme that was floating around DA for a while. and I did it because I am a HUEG Transformers fan.

Okay, so I was tagged by  deludedcon to do this, and because she is awesome, and Quasar is SUPER awesome, and Transformers are the best, I thought I'd do it. But before that I should say that I have my own crazy ideas about Cybertronians and all that blargh. I use a kind of mix of G1 and IDW continuities with my own crazynut cluster versions of stuff. So here it is, 8 facts about my main Transformers OC, Quasar.

1: He's huge. I mean, really really big. About double the size of most ordinary Cybertronians. This is due to him finding an asteroid which had a core comprised entirely of raw, unrefined Energon. Given that he was so badly damaged when he found it, being picky wasn't on his agenda so he went to town on the asteroids core. After his rather berserk "feast", his spark very nearly detonated from the massive energy surge caused by processing so much raw Energon. He didn't offline though, and the raw energon mutated his systems to the behemoth he is now.

2: He's very very old. Not as old as somebot like Alpha Trion, but on comparable age with the Autobot Kup. His long life span has left him incredibly cynical and sarcastic, not really caring what people think of him. He has also had a very long time to become extremely good at killing, which he does with unbelievable precision (unless he's angry, which is most of the time).

"When you get as old as me, you pick up a few things. One of those things is to always expect the unexpected. This is why I am still online, and you have a slagging great hole in your head."

3: Quasar has no preferred fighting style, so he has something for every occasion. His primary weapon is a modified pulse laser mounted on his right arm, modified for mining and capable of cutting most things in half. When things get up close and personal, he is just as dangerous. His large size and strength make him lethal in close quarters. Boosted hydraulics make him deceptively fast and his titanium-osmium alloy combat knife (sword to most Cybertronians) can make short work of any opponent.

4: He hates both the Autobots and the Decepticons. He used to be a Decepticon himself, He served Megatron before there was even such a thing as a Decepticon. After witnessing the wholesale slaughter of protoforms at the hands of Megatron's troops, he defected to the Autobots. After witnessing the Autobots burn an entire world to stop the Decepticons from taking it, he got angry. Now a neutral party in the war, him and his small team of likeminded individuals make it their business to protect species not involved in the Great War from both Autobots and Decepticons.

5: He has a small team of likeminded individuals. Mostly 'bots that have grown disgusted with their respective factions transgressions. As cynical (read: asshole) as he is, Quasar is not without honour, and feels that the Great War should only involve Cybertronians, not the other "innocent" races that get dragged into the violence whether they want it or not. The members of his team are:

Torque. A fairly small and lightning fast Decepticon who really really hates it when people make fun of his alloys.

Cobalt. A former Autobot scientist responsible for developing an energy syphoning device for dying suns, but was used to "recycle" Decepticon prisoners instead.

Pulsar. A female gestalt Autobot. During the first combining, something went wrong with the Transforming cog and five female Autobots were trapped in gestalt mode. Possibly one of the few Gestalts that retains the intelligence of all five minds.

Prototron. A Decepticon powerhouse created to test a prototype chassis which combined lightweight materials with superior armour plating. Unfortunately for the Decepticon scientists building him, his central processor was corrupted by a virus that sent him insane. Quasar salvaged him from the wreckage of the lab and rewired his brain, restoring sanity. Prototron is extremely grateful for this, and is often seen next to Quasar wading into battle.

6: Quasar has a bizarrely (to giant robots) keen interest in Botany and Zoology. He has extensively catalogued the native "animals" and "plants" on Cybertron and has an extensive library on the flora and fauna of hundreds of other planets. He is particularly interested in predatory animals, and has been slowly adapting Metallikato to incorporate various styles based on these animals.

7: Smokes a pipe.

Okay, not a tobacco pipe. This pipe is the size of a minibus and is filled with green crystals that burn with a surprisingly bright flame. Quasar only smokes this pipe to relax, which is rarely.

8: Quasar is only afraid of one thing. Most people joke and say he only fears fear. But this isn't true. The only thing he fears is himself. Unlike similarly powerful Cybertronians (Sixshot, Overlord, the various Gestalts etc.) he has a conscience. He is afraid of what he could potentially become, and what he had become during his younger days. In order to combat this fear, he crushes it under his resolve to never ever be like Megatron, to never be as naive as Optimus Prime, to never submit until the war is over, and either there is peace, or Cybertronians are extinct.

Got back from Bloodstock 2010 a few hours ago (for those that don't know, it is a Heavy Metal festival in England). It was AMAZIIIING! So many bands I liked this year! I went to see:

Best acts for me were Powerwolf and Twisted Sister. They are also the only two bands to my knowledge that got an Encore. Definitely going back next year!

Is that its a banner. Who cares? Most people ignore them anyway. Besides, half the people on this site will be too busy ogling porn and trying to be popular to even notice.

Anyway! I have been playing ridiculous amounts of Fallout 3. Recently decided to get Broken Steel, and now I definitely want the other DLC. War for Cybertron is also proving to be immensely fun, along with Dynasty Warriors 6. The latter was a surprise because I was expecting exactly the same game they have been producing for years...and thats pretty much what I got. But its fun to wade into an entire army by yourself and kill everything that moves...something Prototype does a lot better methinks. That being said, it isn't too bad.

Nothing much else to report really. Got some guys coming round to fix cracks in the walls, but other than that...

So, it seems I'm getting an iMac. Not one of the new shiny ones, but one of the slightly older 24" ones. Does anyone know how old these are? A few years? One year?

Sooo, been playing a lot of MAG recently. Boy oh boy its so much fun to play with people you know. Especially when it involves kicking arse and taking names. Funnily enough, the PS3 keeps a log of all the players you come into contact with while playing online. Not sure why.

ALSO WHO ELSE IS GETTING FED UP WITH THESE BLOODY ELECTION ADVERTS?!

Seriously. Labour is fucked, everybody hates David Cameron, and the Lib Dems don't have enough people voting for them. I see a combined parliament coming you know. And I can't tell if thats a bad thing or not.

Being a Pastafarian, I do not observe Christmas, instead the holiday of Holiday. So happy Holiday everyone!

Finally got the internets back! So now I have a lot of catching up to do! Also, this return brings with it the second part of the much loved (I hope) Hell on Earth story. Yes, the third one is in the works as we speak. I also intend to do some different stuff, so stay tuned for that.

Well the moving is done, now I just need to get internet connected at home (where I am currently not). So hopefully I'll be back online soon, but it may be another couple of weeks yet. Which is annoying...I miss you guys!!!

So yeah, I'm moving again, so I may not be around for a while. The date is the 29th, so I'm gonna be offline for a couple of weeks. I should have plenty of time to get some new stuff written up...even if nobody reads it...

holy pants! 0ver 4000 page views?! For someone who rarely updates thats quite an achievement...especially when I don't update with drawn art.

I should really get back to writing some stuff. I think that the serieses I've been writing will have to stay on hold for a bit. I just want to write some new stuff that stands alone. I'm also not hugely into writing porn that much now. So I can look forwards to a drop in the number of readers....although I never had that many anyway.

I recently found my £175 ($250) Olympus Dictaphone and was thinking about recording some of my Trumpet playing on it and posting them up here. I haven't played for ages, but I might get back into it with this.

If its popular enough, I may even want to get a special little thumbnail made for the submissions ;)

I really need to make an effort to actually speak to the people on my IM contact lists...They're full of people I hardly chat to, which is kind of depressing. Its a shame nobody really instigates a conversation with me though.

The reason for that is probably the fact that most of the people on my contact lists are in completely different time zones :C

I finally got to over one hundred watches! I think this is rather impressive for someone who isn't an artist. I should probably put more stories up on here though.
