So it's official.
General | Posted 10 years agoWhat I have decided in this fursona shift issue. it has happened, you may notice that the account hasn't changed and emptied out with moving announcements. Well, I changed my name all that I can, and since FA has no option to change an account name or mass uploading features, I wont be changing the base account. I will still use this account and post my work here on this account name. But one might notice the name and icon have changed to reflect the fursona shift. Just too messy to go through and redo all my faves and submissions. the account says Raust, but I am the grand guild master no longer, now I am the simple siegebreaker, Kehzrick Darkfeather.
There is a funny irony of coming full circle here. What no one really knows, other than a man I helped lay to rest, is that Raust comes from my earliest unposted writing. Pen and paper that was crafting a novel about the origins of the gryphal and their redemption. He was a huge brown gryphon who was rendered flightless by a wound on the battlefield and thus considered crippled. He played a big part in sacrificing himself to save his adopted nephew, Zahrick Darkfeather. The first Zahrick breed male gryphal. Kehzrick's oldest gryphal ancestor. I used that model to create my own gryphon fursona that has been me for over a decade. Starting as just a simple gryphon and being played out with friends and random people over the years to become too grand to match me very much.
Raust was the one who pioneered my life as a fur and really found my groove with the fandom. Facing all those hard times of learning to develop a character and find that crossed existence of RP and RL blending with proper separation to keep things strait, in essence giving a 'home' for kehzrick to grow and be developed in and in a sense raising him to be my true face. Much like the crippled Raust raised Zahrick to give rise to the breed.
What this means for many things, my skype will not change, nor my emails. had them far too long and too many people to contact to change that over. Simply refer to me as Kehzrick, or Kehz as many seem to have adapted for me. Kehzy is not something I enjoy being called unless it comes from my mate, unless you are my sweet vixen, don't call me that.
In regards to the girls that I am so very and deeply attached to from Raust, they are still very much in my heart like my own daughters, and I can't let them go. they wont be getting a new daddy, but they will spend a lot of time with Uncle Kehz when their father has to go off to fight. you may see new little balls of fluff inked to kehz and my mate. Yes, there is still a 'me' and a literary form of kehzrick. the one you seen in True Monster is the literary Kehzrick.
There are certain people I'll still interact with as Raust, simply because they know me too well and too long as such. If you are one, you know who you are already. If you have to question if you are, Hi, I'm Kehzrick.
I know some people will understand the gravity of such a decision and such a shift in character that represents one's self. For you, thank you for understanding. for the wanna be tough guys out there who will act like this is a big deal about nothing; go fuck yourself. Don't even bother posting any dumbassed hipster bullshit here. I wont tolerate it.

Been considering something for a bit now..
General | Posted 10 years agoKinda want to know what you guys think if I shifted my primary fursona to kehzrick? I know I have been Raust for well over a decade, but I've been looking at him lately and realizing, he's grown far too grand a figure to really represent myself any longer. General | Posted 10 years agoReally it is. I'm not an ogre who will trash your house and start campaigns against you for saying no to anything I happen to ask. Nothing is worse than asking about the possibility of something and have the other person refuse by never saying anything. Even more awkward is when they accept and never say anything then show up asking about it like a million years later. OvO Seriously. if I ever ask any of you out there a question directly, please just answer, what ever the answer is okay. I usually ask because I am concerned about comfort zones or stress a request or curious question may pose.

Female gryphal!
General | Posted 10 years agoI don't yet have an image specifically for female gryphal, but i would like to take some time to talk about them.
you (hopefully) have seen the gryphal documentary pages about the male gryphal that I have been slowly having art produced for and breed write up attached to them. well, the females are as different as an entirely different species. Much of this comes from the specific purpose they are designed for.
While the males are savage and often grotesque monsters, the females are gryphonic beings of an almost unearthly beauty, very much not built for combat. This is primarily because they are built to be breeders. With the males being too savage to breed without killing their mate, it became necessary to create the female to breed with male gryphons. These unions can produce male and female gryphon children as well as female gryphal children without outside interference. The natural breeding processes do not cause hybridization with their gryphon mates. As breeding stock, their creator saw fit to tweak their metabolism to help them keep a rather appealing appearance by causing them to have great difficulty in gaining body fat.
Most people would not be able to tell the difference between a female gryphal and an attractive female gryphon. One would have to know what to look for to tell the two apart. For starters, female gryphal are always falcon based, though their cat base looks very similar to the lion based gryphons, they are based on a long extinct feline species for the firm haunches that required less muscle mass to maintain. the tell tale differences in the two cat bases are a somewhat long tuft of fur along the back of each foot up to the ankle portion. the tail tuft is another key sign as it is nearly twice as long with the entire coat being very fine and silky. The softer coat extends to their feathers as well, leaving them naturally glossy in appearance. This does sacrifice the crisp air cupping ability of a gryphon's feathers, reducing their strait flight acceleration ability while increasing their ability to slip through the air in rather agile aerobatic dances and slightly faster dives. While gryphon eyes tend to be mostly amber and brown, female gryphal eyes can be any shade one would see in any human or gryphon. They do not share the rusty red pigmentation of the male's eyes. Female gryphons of the falcon base can at times have the long talons and bird shaped foreclaws, this is not true for female gryphal, they always have a hand shaped 'forepaw' with very short talons that are more akin to thick fingernails complete with five finger like digits. They do not have a true ear as some gryphon species are prone to have, but they have small, dainty feathered tufts that serve the same purpose. These tufts and be perked and flattened back like real ears to express emotions. As far as their coloration goes, female gryphal can range through all the natural colors of the raptors and cats they are based on, ranging from black as the deepest pitch, through the full array of grays, browns and tans, including white markings. While all black has been seen some what often, pure white has only been seen once and is highly unlikely to ever appear again. while their colors are more natural, they can have exotic markings, such as calico mottling along their under belly or a shock of white/black.
As far as personality goes, female gryphal are as diverse as any other species. They can be bright and bubbly or dark and brooding with everything else in between. One thing that does remain universal is a powerful maternal instinct. even the most irritable female gryphal softens and cares for any child in need of her care. Despite their natural lack of suitability for combat, a female gryphal will fiercely defend any smaller and/or weaker creature that has triggered her maternal instincts. Only preserving herself for her own full nest would drive a female gryphal to abandon a child in danger or need of any sort. And while they are so focused on children, no instance of pedophilia has ever been committed by a female gryphal.
Now this all seems pleasant and very pretty doesn't it? I believe it is time to step into the dark side of female gryphal. Since they were created to be breeding stock, their dark creator decided to make sure they had no choice but to mate and thus created their bodies to be lethally dependent on a specific enzyme only released after the body receives semen after sexual activity. One sexual encounter releases enough to last for thirty days. This creates the infamous gryphal cycle. If they do not mate within thirty days, their body will begin to rapidly weaken and deteriorate over the course of two weeks until death. an herb was discovered on another world that has been found to extend this cycle by up to fourteen days. The twisted nature of their dark creator and this lethal enforcement of his will upon them created a deep resentment amongst the female gryphal. Their subtle quiet actions were quite instrumental in his downfall. As they have different personalities, some female gryphal struggle against this biological chain of forced sexual activity while still others embrace it with every bit of enjoyment and unfiltered glee. it is not unusual for an unattached female gryphal to have several male gryphons keeping themselves in close proximity to take advantage of her cycle in hopes of claiming her biological needs as a prize. Most males see them as people, but many they would be forced to interact with see them as objects of enjoyment and conquest, causing a great many female gryphal to distrust males in general. Bisexuality is not uncommon amongst their numbers for this very reason as they often find solace and love in one another before they trust the sincerity of any male attempting to court them. While many would be if it were possible, the cycle prevents true homosexuality for female gryphal, they simply must have a male on a regular basis. many gryphal relationships are often very strained based on the subject of the cycle.
Socially speaking, many females view female gryphal as easy harlots and mindless bimbos, while this couldn't be further from the truth. Before they were intended as breeding stock, female gryphal were meant to specialize in combat magic, causing mage gift to be fifty percent more common in their numbers than in other species. However, they were able to hide their gifts from their master and make him believe the endeavor was a failure. He seen no reason to alter their naturally sharp minds and learning advantages. This does not mean that female gryphal are naturally geniuses, it just means they are simply not stupid by any means.
This is the female gryphal, I do hope you like them. There are deeper details regarding history and modern places in life that I am more than willing to answer if one wished to ask.

Kehzrick: Um, hello, I'm Kehzrick Darkfeather, siege-breaker of the Titanian military.
Jake: Hello. I'm Jake Krietz, Warrior of Life and part time infiltrator for the Saldohlsian military. And no, it is not short for Jacob.
Kenta: Scout Kenta, StarTalons Mercenaries, at your service!
Talana: Talana Asreigh, queen of Titania. It is a pleasure to meet you.
Me: Hi, I'm Raust. What? You thought you were going to get my real name? I don't know you well enough for that.
2. What is your favorite food?
Kehzrick: I am actually quite fond of simple maple sausage.
Jake: I am not sure what to call them, but I once visited this little inn on some backwater world that served these delectable potato cheese pies. I pay a visit when I can manage.
Kenta: Oh, sushi is simply to die for, the more fish the better!
Talana: Orange glazed game hen is one of my guilty pleasures.
Me: Hard to say I have a favorite food, but I do have a good lean toward seasoned meats with fresh cooked vegetables.

Kehzrick: I don't really drink for pleasure, simply to hydrate myself.. so.. water?
Jake: This question irritates me with the irony of the answer. I hate drinking alcohol, but my favorite flavor I have had in a beverage is a Saldohlsian sweet brandy.
Kenta: Fresh orange juice provides the vitamin C I need to keep from contracting illness in the field, and it tastes great too!
Talana: A nice sweet wine is a pleasant way to end the day.
Me: A nice, real brewed root beer. So hard to find, but there is nothing better.

Kehzrick: Frankenstein
Jake: Between training and seeking battle, the only books I have ever had time to read have been academic. They are all about the same.
Kenta: Oh dear, I am still working on the original Dragon Riders of Pern trillogy. I just rarely have time to read so it goes slowly.
Talana: I don't have a favorite, I love them all, but my favorite genre would be children's books, because I get to read them to children.

2. What is your favorite food?
Kehzrick: I am actually quite fond of simple maple sausage.
Jake: I am not sure what to call them, but I once visited this little inn on some backwater world that served these delectable potato cheese pies. I pay a visit when I can manage.
Kenta: Oh, sushi is simply to die for, the more fish the better!
Talana: Orange glazed game hen is one of my guilty pleasures.
Me: Hard to say I have a favorite food, but I do have a good lean toward seasoned meats with fresh cooked vegetables.
3. What is your favorite drink?
Kehzrick: I don't really drink for pleasure, simply to hydrate myself.. so.. water?
Jake: This question irritates me with the irony of the answer. I hate drinking alcohol, but my favorite flavor I have had in a beverage is a Saldohlsian sweet brandy.
Kenta: Fresh orange juice provides the vitamin C I need to keep from contracting illness in the field, and it tastes great too!
Talana: A nice sweet wine is a pleasant way to end the day.
Me: A nice, real brewed root beer. So hard to find, but there is nothing better.

Kehzrick: Frankenstein
Jake: Between training and seeking battle, the only books I have ever had time to read have been academic. They are all about the same.
Kenta: Oh dear, I am still working on the original Dragon Riders of Pern trillogy. I just rarely have time to read so it goes slowly.
Talana: I don't have a favorite, I love them all, but my favorite genre would be children's books, because I get to read them to children.
Me: I would have to say The Black Gryphon, by Mercedes Lackey

Jake: Any arrogant person, no one is better than anyone else and it stokes the fury to white hot.

Me: Most people, I consider most to be wild homo-sapiens rather than actual human beings.

Kehzrick: I like cats, they don't seem to fear me.
Jake: Not particularly.

Talana: I do have a soft spot in my heart for Equines.
Me: Birds, I really adore birds of all kinds.

Kehzrick: I kind of like Minecraft

Talana: What ever game i can manage to sneak away from royal duties to play with the local children. Tag, four square, hopscotch and the like.
Me: Though it is in a bad state and in need of a good replacement, my all time favorite game remains WoW, but something with good longevity and fun mechanics could easily dethrone that.

Kehzrick: I am a large hulking juggernaut on the battlefield.
Jake: My swordsmanship.
Kenta: My strongest skill is my ability to infiltrate and kill, but the skill that is greatest in my mind is my skills as a mother and mentor.
Talana: I think I am doing quite well with leading my people, that should explain my greatest skill.

Looking for an artist/s
General | Posted 11 years agoI have two commissions that I want very badly. I had an idea of an artist for one, but social issues with those who are a constant in their streams has chased me away. What I need done by order of desire and importance are:
1. A pic of Raust's sons, this is two character color feral children in clean art with artistic freedom to simply a theme of "Boys being boys"
2. Is a bit trickier. It is almost complete artistic freedom, what I had in mind was to let the artist read 'True Monster' and then pay for the image they feel best expresses the story.
If anyone out there knows anyone that would be willing to do either of these, then i am very interested.

General | Posted 11 years agoSeriously, another mass hysteria. Frankly the fears people have are quite unfounded as what they are afraid of being stolen has never been asked of me by any artist. The fact is, most the artists I've ever worked with only asked my email for my paypal, which is just my email anyhow or had an offsite commission organization site where they took orders.. I was smart enough to have a small pool of rotating passwords with a completely different set for anything financial or real life related. Sure, there is a dubious member on the staff, but this really isn't the place that you should have anything incriminating or truly identifying about yourself anyhow. I will never understand the people that feel the need to vomit every little detail about themselves on every inch of the internet they can manage to register to.

General | Posted 11 years agoI have not had much of it for too long. So I started today, and boy, what an embarrassing jog that was! Out of around a mile, I walked about two thirds of it trying to recover enough strength to continue jogging (Not all in one stretch, was walk, jog, walk, jog) But, I expected these first sessions ot be such until my body starts to strengthen and I look like I should be jogging. With any luck, i will look less like a lumpy sack of eggplants and more like my fursona in physique.

General | Posted 11 years agoSO like two days ago, I spent my food budget for the pay period, on the food I needed for the pay period. A bunch of stuff for my lunches and some stuff for my after work meals that was frozen or refrigerated foods like yogurt and lunch meat, milk.. I have no monety left for more food. I got up this morning and.. my refrigerator is broken and all my food is warming and defrosting. I have been calling the emergency maintenance number for my apartments, but no on is answering, just keeps going to voice mail.. this is kind of disheartening and depressing to know that i have a job, can pay my bills, and still can't eat for this period because I can't get ahold of the people who are supposed to be available to assist with my apartments. I am contemplating putting a stop payment on my rent check and rewriting with a deduction of my new food bill with an attached receipt. After they finally fix the fridge of course.
