So, Pokemon finally ran out of colors, and gem stones, and now they're arbitrarily picking letters, next time it will be Z and W and A B C and can't wait till they finally come out with Alpha and Omega already.

I wish someone would make a 3rd party game of Pokemon, one with just the good Pokemon that everyone would know and like. But that will never happen because nintendo want every possible shred of profit to fund their consoles. Which, if you look, are not making as much money as they used to >=

So I can give you a review of Pokemon X and Y already! It's the same as every other Pokemon game ever made except for one or two gimmicky changes that wont be in any other Pokemon game whether they're good or bad changes. It's how it always is. They just... Volvo it.

What is Volvoing it? Well Volvo makes great cars, really reliable. But for some reason no one really likes them ( they are rather boring I guess) SO, they sell their cars to other manufacturers who simply tweak it up a bit and change the tags then sell it as a totally different car.

yeah, not the biggest secret in the world, and Volvo isn't the only one doing it, but that's how I feel with Pokemon games. I even gave Black 2 the benefit of the doubt, but no... it's exactly the same with a new coat of paint (unless your comparing it to black 1... then it's exactly the same no new paint)

I guess I wouldn't mind it, if they where not coming out so fast. I Just got Black 2, not even on the 2nd gym and, BAAAAAM "Here's X and Y go buy our stuff!" Just give me a bit of breathing room D=

So Doctor who. How is that relevant? Well just as an example, Doctor who was kinda popular way back when. And then he kinda fell off the face of the earth. Suddenly mid 00's he comes back out of no where! Now Doctor who is one of the most watched shows on TV and has a fan base bigger then Niel Patrick Harris and Charlie Sheen put together. And I don't think it would have been so popular without the break, and then the sudden and unexpected emergence. Relating that back to Pokemon, It feels a bit like they're trying to jam it down our necks. I think a Long break for Pokemon is what is needed now, like a decade, or twenty. that way all the old people talking about it (like me) can just forget about it, and a new crowd can be introduced without anyone there to yell at them for just buying from a greedy monetizing on every little thing company like Nintendo.


Also, FOR THE LOVE OF PIKACHU UPDATE THE SOUNDS ALREADY.
It's 2013, there is no reason Pokemon games should still sound like it's 1999. I mean if you want that 8 bity sound that's fine, there are lots of games that do it well. Check out Thomas was Alone for example, Kinda 8 bit sound, but definitely not like Pokemon, much more modern sounding as well.

Yeah I got to max rank already. It felt so short a time since Christmas, but it's time to debate hitting the prestige button. As I understand it's different this time.

first off, at max rank you cannot unlock everything in the game >= everything is in fact unlocked after prestige 10 or max chief or what ever it's called.
But I did some research on the subject, and. Your guns don't reset with the re-lock. So, if you use the MP7 a lot, and you maxed it out and got all the attachments, after prestige when you re-unlock it, it's still max rank, ready for you to use any attachments you want. The same was not said about camos however, so I don't know if I get to keep them >= NOR was it said about emblems. I made a Snivy emblem, I don't wanna loose that! although it does just use the basic shapes, and can be remade very easily, but it's the principal of the matter!

So each time you go threw the system, you get 55 tokens, and there is something like 80 unlockables. So if the emblems stay then it would be nice to simply unlock what ever you didn't have in the first round of leveling when you prestige to get the rest of the emblem stuffs. And have some spare tokens to get your favorite guns again.

But I see a lot of people doing this: Use the MP7 (first unlockable PDW) and unlock nothing else. Just grind like hell till P10 and then worry about everything else. Lucky me the prestige calculator says it would only take me 2.8 months till then DX
I'm getting bored of COD BO2 already, 2.8 months of grinding hell...HELL NO. I don't even like the MP7. Yeah it was my favorite in Battlefield 3, but I just don't get the same feeling from the one in BO2.

I've asked around about camos, and other things, and really (I should of expected this form COD players) all I get is "Nut up and prestige already"... yeah so helpful.

Yes, yet again it seems violent video games have killed innocent people. Wooo, Lucky me, my video games are kept in a pouch that has a zipper, far away from any guns. I think the real issue here is people not showing their games any love. You got to clean em and play them or they get lonely, and those M rated ones are quick to snap at you, ya' know?

But seriously, this is how it works, Video games are still relatively new in the world so they're the new kid, who gets blamed for everything bad, whether they did it or not. I assure you, it's been like this for a while now. Lets see, Rap (as much as I hate it, it's because I don't like the way it sounds, but idiots translate the different type of music to violence) also Rock n' Roll. Movies at some point, and books! BOOKS, can you believe that way back people thought of books as evil? Now we just think of them as boring. Oh, here's a kicker (this one is almost proven by history) The Bible, Both in the sense of the holy cleansing stuff, the crusades and other instances where people kill because "God said so", but what I really mean is the fact that in it's infancy (yes the bible was "new" at one point) people did hate it just because it was different, and maybe in some respect all the hostility breed the later violence...and wait? do you think that the rock n' rollers wouldn't have been so rebellious if people didn't keep telling them it was so wrong? I mean it was just music and dancing after all.

Here is an interesting thought. What if there was nothing? not even houses or clothes or anything but basic survival? would we all just be happy rainbow people and never violent? Hell no. We'd still have to hunt, and bad hunters would still kill their neighbors for food, and crazy people would kill just for fun! If anything GTA is an outlet, so people can be crazy idiots, COD is a means to yell racist obscenities and not get feel to bad, so that in the normal lives they don't get those urges.

Haven't we all seen Office Space by now? (I mean if you haven't please do! Not the best movie, but it makes a valid point) The main character is about ready to go postal, then he gets hypnotized into being more natural, ie not so stressing about work, having fun and being an fun on his home time (and I swear he would have been playing gta if he had it, but he goes fishing instead) and he even gets a raise for it all.
Anyway, perfectly valid example of taking responsibility for your own actions being liberating. Dumped his whore of a girl friend, stood up to his boss, had fun, and most importantly...Did not go postal.

I'm not saying that the people of Connecticut are naturally violent and need to come to terms with it. I'm just saying maybe they need to stop being old people and blaming whatever it is those kids are doing, and look in the mirror, because violence begets violence, and being violent toward violent video games is no less violent the the games themselves... actually it's more violent, because it's real violent.

My deepest condolences to the families involved with this tragedy, I have family up in Connecticut myself, and I'm glad knowing they where safe and far away from all this. But, please stop blaming the first thing that comes to mind, if you want to be mad, be mad at the idiots with the guns, not games, because just like rock n' roll, or rap, or the bible there will always be people to fight for it, and defend it to the death, innocent people fighting just because idiots are blaming what they love for something completely unrelated.

For new years we make a slow cooked pork roast, started to cook about 6pm.

we watch the ball drop at midnight like most people now, and when it's done everyone kisses everyone.

Then we take a silver dollar and a slice of bread, and walk to the corner ( which is significantly better in Florida then it was in Jersey because there is no chance of snow, but we did in in the snow anyway back then ) on the way back we throw the bread to the birds and come back to wine and the pork.

Each part has a meaning. The bread, means you'll have food for the year. Giving the bread means you'll remember to be charitable. The silver means you'll have enough money. Going to the corner and back means you'll have safe travels and always find a home. The wine means you'll have fun, the kisses mean love, and the pork is good luck.

So in the first five minutes of the new year, you'll have been kissed by everyone in the room, traveled, eaten a good meal, became 1 dollar richer, gave to the less fortunate, got home safe, saved money for the future, and most importantly, had fun.

Not a bad way to start off the new year, is it?

I have been playing for a day now (not 24 hours, just had it for a day) and so I thought it fair to write something more on BlOps2. The Good, The bad, The ugly...

So, I've taken to 2 guns, the SVU? Sniper, the default sniper if you play. and the Remington 870mcs. the sniper was like an EMR or an M14, which I love, the 870 is a shotgun. So if I write about any fighting, note I was using one of those.

I'm not sure how I feel about all this right now. Scorestreaks is a step up over killstreaks, but there is still a rich richer effect. If you have the right set up on streaks you can sit in a corner and just wreak in the kills with no effort still. personally I haven't been able to test much. I'm still trying to get over the fact that you can't run everywhere like in Battlefield. Apparently soldiers are fat and can't run much in call of duty... here I was thinking it was just the players ~

BUT something cool, I note from games like Counterstrike or Killingfloor maybe? I moved so slow when I tried out the LMG, so I think the weight of the equipment may effect your movements. That's a nifty + in my book. But it does mean on most of my first set ups, I have lightweight and that other one that helps you run. >=

I like the way set ups work now, it is kind of like a weight system, you can only hold so much, but you can have anything. Want two primaries? You can do that, Double pistols? mhmm. I think you can even have 2 rpgs. (Although I think they only have 1 shot each so...they're useless.) But I took the old fashion route myself, goofy setups can be fun, but to do any kind of good in game a normal setup is the way to go. Also Full Metal jacket any time you can. Shooting through the walls is a bit OP.

So the actual game play then. How is it? Honestly, Not great. There is a lot of connection issues, input lag, and almost every other match there is a mid game Host Migration that pauses the match and has to reload everything. When that doesn't happen, It's a COD game, everyone is worried about their KDR (Kill/Death ratio) and most people don't PTFO (Play the Flacking Objective, a Battlefield term) I can't tell you how many times in the short time I've been playing I've died and on the kill cam I see my team mate trying to sneak up and knife the guy killing me, and then he dies too (Just shoot him it's faster, and you could have gotten a savoir medal! more points!)

But, when it all goes to plan, some of the new game modes are brilliant. 3 teams, is a bit of good fun with a lot of chaos, never know who to shoot first! Finding two enemies shooting each other, and picking up both kills is just so much fun... but some times they turn on you as they where actually teammates goofing, and you get owned. Kill Confirmed is fun too, you can shoot and kill a ton, but it's more objective then simple deathmatch. And Hard point is king of the hill with a moving hill. So much fun <3

Sadly there is no character customization that I have noticed, I remember from MW2 you used to be about to pick out camos for your player, but I guess not this time. Gun customizing is as always camo + 2 attachments, with an optional 3 if you pick up Primary gun fighter on your wildcards.

TL;DR: I liked it. Bit buggy, but fun. Not even close to a 10/10 game, more like a 6/10? maybe more, maybe less.

I think that is good. It's also really hard >= It's not just squares and drawing it's pre-made shapes... so yeah it's limited at best. BUT essentially everything boils down to circles and triangles. So every time I did actually manage a kill (I'm not used to COD after BF3 for so long) I heard laughing and "Oh man look at his emblem!"

BLACK2 is black1 with a slightly different story so far, and a different start point... that's it... It wasn't worth the money yet.

BUT POKEMON CONQUEST, on the other hand, is very initiative, completely different to any Pokemon game made yet... oki so you still battle, but essentially you catch trainers, not Pokemon. It's hard to explain, but fun. Also you start with Eevee! <3 instant love =3

It's the best narrative in a video game, ever. Even better then Bastion, and Bastion was the best.

It's entirely voiced by Danny Williams, AKA sarcastic nerd from Assassin's Creed 2 and on. The music is amazing. And it's an indie game, so there is lots of love and heart put into it.

But the best part? It's a really nifty platformer. The gameplay didn't suffer for a good story like it does in other indie games. Yeah it's easy, and not the longest game in the world. There is very few collectables. I think it's 1-2 in each area. So it's not perfect, But it reminds me of old Mario and Sonic in terms of gameplay... now if only Green Hill zone had a sarcastic voice over by a very sexy speaker.

If you like platforms, or want to listen to some amazing writing, or have 5$ you don't know what to do with. Please get this game!

Not that I care what anyone does with their characters.
Designs are one thing I guess. But I always learned that a creative character isn't in the looks or colours, but in the depth of personality, and the heart you put into making them.

Like My Little Pony, All of them are bright pinks and blue and purple, and pretty pretty shiny shiny, but the lot are so one dimensional it hurts.

But what I'm talking about today is not character creation, but the usage of characters. I don't like the idea of "selling" characters after you've run out of uses for them. It's like selling a used condom. It's all a bit dirty to me, but some people actually pay for this.

Joining into a DayZ server is kinda crazy, kinda scary.
You meet people, form bands, and occasionally have to deal with bandits.

However today, I happened to spawn in a server loosely run by the Russian mafia. No seriously. They where all Russian, speaking Russian, typing in Russian road around in black SUVs and used AK variant weapons. They where literally the Russian mafia...and they where not nice either. They killed me twice. Once I was unarmed, once I found a nice gun, took out their SUV and one of their guys, but just to many DX.

I played Deus Ex:Human Revolution today. A game I hadn't even bothered to install when I got it.
It was hard... On Medium.
So many ways to do things. And every lil thing you do leads to a new outcome. I'm only on chapter 2! and 9 hours... I don't know where it all whent.

I was just going to play for a bit while I installed Aftermath BF3. But I just got lost in it all.

So during the Steam Autumn sale I purchased the ever loved Arma 2 military sim. obviously I only intended to play it for the zombie survival mod DayZ.

The first few times I played I died. A lot.

But For some hours I have been on this one life. I found food and drink, and a M1911... no ammo.

This particular story was after I had just eaten. I was already beat up shaking blurry vision. Nearly dead, and worse off some Zeds got my scent when I didn't notice. I tried to run and defend myself... but I took just one to many hits.

I was on the ground for a good two seconds. One more I would have bleed out. But then I heard some shots, and was back on my feet fully healed and the gillie with the sniper gave me an M4, I love M4s.

But I was still a bit confused. and to be honest running around in blur the past hour did lead to me loosing my bearings. Trying to figure out where I was, He slipped off, gone just the way he came (admittedly when he ran into an area where my texture did not load yet I saw him running off) BUT NONE THE LESS.

My faith in humanity has been restored.
Sadly I never even saw his name. or gender... his was in full gillie.
I survived for some time after, but it was so crazy I needed to take a step back from DayZ for a bit.

1 Does anyone actually say thanks on thanksgiving anymore? If you do, good for you, but I think at this point thanksgiving is pretty much American stuff your fat hole day o3o. No offense intended. It's a time for families to get together and gosip and eat and watch Futball Americana =3 It's fun, but I tend to retire to my computer and back to a normal day's activities before long. It's not exactly as big as Xmas, and the market knows as much. I started seeing Xmas stuff and commercials at least a week ago.

So in light of CS:GO not working, I still wanted to get started in the counter-striking.
LUCKILY there are others in my seat with the not working CS:GO and the CS:S servers are still very much alive. And yes. It works.

As for Gmod, if you don't already please to think of getting it. It's not just a sandbox. It's basically a mod platform for the Source engine, so much fun to be had. <3

There is a daily exp cap?
Yeah I don't have Halo 4 because I don't have an xbox. But I was listening to some commentary ...of battlefield 3, and they where talking about how you could only gain a bit of exp per day in Halo 4.

so there is no ability to get max rank in 2 days like no life-ers would normally do.
But I just can't understand why. Halo is an Arena shooter, you're not unlocking anything that would tip the balance of the game with ranks up... are you?

In Assassin's Creed 3, they did an amazing job with this theme. If you haven't please go complete the homestead missions.
Long Story short, Connor helps build a town, within it you help hook up two lovers, help birth a baby, help a woman escape her abusive spouse, preform a marriage, and take part in a funeral.
But it was so awesomely done, I almost cried.

One thing I could say on the matter however, um. They say you earn a "Reward" after the funeral.... that may not be the right word for the matter. It just seems a bit insensitive.

So today I tried to play My CS:GO again. Same problem tho! even on the bear minimum of settings it's 3 PFS shudder horror!

I really thought I had it too this time. I had it all fixed running over 60 fps perfect smooth (Doesn't help that I am a terrible shot in that game....) But then like out of no where I started going into shudder mode dropped to can't even walk without loosing my orientation due to shudder! I just can't figure out what is wrong!
My Computer can play any and all games of the same type, my internet isn't uber fast, but it works just fine for everything else I play.
I swear my game is broke, but I tried the uninstall re-install thing, and no work.

If anyone does play CS:GO and or has had this trouble with other steam games do please any ideas out of the ordinary would be nice. It is a great game for the whole 5 minutes I got to play it.

If I could I would be playing this game a lot more!
