Ghostbusters 2016 and AVGN James Rolfe
Posted 9 years agoOk I was planning on keeping my two cents on this movie to myself but after seeing the backlash from a harmless video made by AVGN James rolfe over his refusal to go see/review the movie based on the fact that he didn't like the trailor.......i kinda feel like saying something now.
So if you didn't know or havn't heard. James Rolfe aka the angry video game nerd, posted a video yesterday stating that he is refusing to go see/review the new Ghostbusters movie based on the fact that the trailer looks down right terrible. I couldn't agree more. But not long after that, the internet literally exploded and articles in major online publishing sites took to attacking James for his "Terrible" video calling him a Crybaby and other such names. All because he said he wasn't going to see the movie.
Well as most people probably know, the major debate on the whole "New Ghostbusters" movie was the fact that it features an all female cast. Well obviously all bull shit aside in that respect, He only made mention of the fact it was an all female cast only once and it wasn't even derogatory at all. But the internet being what it is took to attacking him anyways and even Patton Oswalt took a shot at James on Twitter.
Granted the video itself was pretty dry for typical James, it really highlighted the reason why there is so much backlash to the movie in the first place.
1. The trailer looked fucking god awful
2. Its just another lame attempt of Hollywood to reboot a classic to try and capitolize on the fanbase regardless if the movie is a flop or not.
At this day and age its appalling at how even the biggest pieces of cinematic trash remakes manage to turn enough profit for these studios to constitute making even more.
It gets worse as one critic stated that James was just being a " 35 year old crybaby who needed to grow up" for voicing his opinion on how the movie should have had a different name like "The new Ghostbusters" or "Ghostbusters the new generation" because it was more or less a slight against the original classic.
I feel EXACTLY how James does about another of my childhood classics being raped by the movie industry in seek of profits from a lack of new ORIGINAL film ideas.
The problem is now is that we have to many people claiming that people are being "sexist" for refusing to see the movie based on how the trailer looked and are instantly jumping to the conclusion that people are only upset that it stars an all female cast and that all these other "Issues" are only there to side step the "REAL" issue that everyone who doesn't like this movie or its trailer is simply being critical of the fact the cast is all women and that we are all butt hurt mysoginistic assholes who cant give the movie a chance simply based on that fact alone.
Seriously.......just fuck people and fuck hollywood for raping classic epic movies that need to just be left alone the way they are.
I only recently just heard they REMADE the rocky horror picture show. While i was not a HUGE fan of the movie its just yet another instance of Hollywood over stepping its boundries and fucking with history in search for profits.
Fuck my life if they EVER REMAKE THE NEVERENDING STORY....... i will literally go on a rampage and Destroy anyone who had anything to do with that movie.

The Mask. Long Journal
Posted 10 years agoBefore I begin this journal, I want you to realize that this is MY view MY opinion on this subject. I respect everyone's rights to do what they want and I won't judge others for not sharing my ideas or opinions. That being said here we go.
The Mask
So for a long time I've always been a certain way. I've always been protective of myself and my personal life and just my person in general.
I see people who come out of the closet about all things and tell people that "This is who I am and I'm proud of it" and think to myself if what they did was really necessary.
Some people I think feel that they need to let the world know who they are in order to accept themselves for who they are. That they need other people to know who or what they are in order to feel accepted and loved. But a lot of the time I see rifts being created in the wake of outing ones self to friends, family, co-workers and the public in general. Because not only does this obviously change people's opinions of you for better or worse, but it also causes people to pre-emptivly judge you without even getting to know you ( also for better or worse). And by that I mean that people may steer clear of you or talk badly of you because of who/what you are and also people you may not like or want to get to know may all the sudden try to get to know you once you've told them who you are because they are the same or think they have similar interests.
For me......I like my mask. I like knowing the feeling that the people around me don't know who i really am or what I am into. It gives me the comfort in knowing i don't have to worry about being silently judged for things that they don't understand and probably never will or try to understand. Not only does it give me that comfort, it also keeps people I don't want knowing or being associated with coming up to me and trying to form a relationship based on common ground without knowing who they are or what they are about first.
My mask is my shield and my rock. My closest friends are all those who worked to get to know me and who I am and what I am about and what I am Into. Only those who have shown me that they are interested in ME for ME get to know whats under the mask. Because I know that if they have worked to get to know me that they won't judge me so quickly or with blatant disregaurd to my feelings. It takes time and devotion to get to know someone that close and if you take that time, you won't be quick to throw a relationship away because of people's differences.
Being another face in the crowd does not upset or bother me in anyway. It allows me to live my life without feeling that there are people out there who don't like me for the things I enjoy or like. Or what I am.
I like my mask.....but if you want to get to know me, you need to show me that you want to know me for who I am and not what I am or what I'm into and only then will I take my mask off for you...

Posted 11 years agoI just had literally one of the best days ever i feel. First of all i got done with work at my first job super early enough to go to my favorite restaurant and found out my card was on its last punch and i got lunch for free!
So then on to my second job where i found a bunch of Ipods that had been sitting in the back room since 2011 and since i work at a pawn shop....the longer they are there the cheaper they are. So i picked up a 120Gig, 80Gig, and a 32 gig 3rd gen touch all for the incredibly low price of 10$ !!!!
Then to top it all off i get home and check Asus's website to see the repair status on my Tablet who's screen somehow cracked on the way home from AC last year and i finally got around into sending it in for repairs last month. Well they had originally quoted me 80 - 300$ to fix it. And low and behold i got home and saw that it had been repaired and was ready to ship back to me. Being cautious i got onto the site's help chat to verify and the tech told me that it was repaired free of charge and was indeed going to be shipped back to me on monday! I was so happy! Because the screen cracked and i acidentally broke the plastic bezel under the screen and that would have been an obvious self repair attempt so i was under no way trying to hide that. I even wrote it down in the RMA form that i had tried to repair it myself and failed. And yet they fixed it free anyways? How the hell does that happen!
Anyways i didn't complain and thanked him for his help.
I love ASUS. I don't care what anyone has to say about them. I loved my tablet and i loved the help and service i got hands down!

Posted 12 years agoWell just today i broke down and finally purchased a storm drone 4 quad-copter. I've been wanting one for quite some time so i could do aerial filming and especially at cons with good scenery close by such as at AC and FWA however i do not know if the quad will be making it to FWA since i will have to fly there with it in luggage and it will most likely take up a bit of room.
None the less im happy and excited and looking forward to some amazing footage to be had at the next few cons with it and just regular stuff around where i live.

Posted 12 years agoOk seriously I really can't believe you people .......at all. I log into FA today to hear all these people leaving FA for weasly ......again.......because of some stupid bs with Zaush and Dragoneer again!
Ok first of all. Fuck what you heard about Zaush. No one but him and the girl this shit happened to know the truth and either one could be lying about it. So unless you were there and saw it happened you don't know so quit judging people based on hearsay from Joe Blow that Zaush raped some girl. ]
We all know its easy to call rape. Hell all it takes is for the other person you were with to get pissed off at you over something stupid a few days later then start telling people you raped them and before you know it YOUR A RAPIST. Isn't that how it goes? Weather he did or he didn't unless you were there Shut the fuck up!
I'm not defending Zaush in any way. I'm just pissed at the ignorance of people to believe what other people say about other people without even knowing them one Iota. Just because one person has a bad opinion of someone doesn't mean it needs to be YOUR opinion too.
Without knowing the facts of what actually happened besides the story of TWO people then you CANNOT Make a logical conclusion as to who the liar here really is. So just let it go.

South Park does it again.
Posted 12 years agoWell another episode of this latest season fails to be a pleaser at all. I was sorely dissipointed and am rapidly loosing faith in the creators to deliver inventive ideas to keep the show fresh and worth watching.
This latest episode more or less had TWO weeks, instead of the usual ONE week that they get to make a new episode. Due to a "power outage" last week there was no new episode till THIS week and frankly i was unimpressed and found myself wanting to change the channel before the episode was even over.
I honestly believe that Matt and Trey need to start thinking up a way to end the show before it gets to the point of them making stupid shit episodes like the last few just to please their contract with comedy central.
Iv'e personally felt that the show reached its peak a few years ago and has been on a slow spiral downhill till just this last season when only 1 of the 4 new episodes that have aired have been even remotely entertaining. The other 3 were complete and utter bombshells that felt like they were just thrown together without much though process at all.
I'm starting to wonder if Matt and Trey even care about the show anymore. From some of the interviews and their own personal comments over the last year or so they have given off the vibe that they are tired of south park because they wish to pursue more meaningful things like their broadway show The book of Mormon which has had rave reviews which just goes to show that they are still capable of producing exciting and entertaining commical satires. But I believe that their heart and soul is slowly slipping from South Park.
I cannot say that I am upset about this myself in anyway. As many years as the show has been on the air it would be stupid to assume that its only going to get better from here on in. Once a show starts to head downhill there is very little chance it can recover.
I really hope that Matt and Trey can start thinking of a way to end the show instead of throwing it to the dogs and letting it get cancelled due to lack of viewers. Or maybe that is their plan is to get the show cancelled so they can finally be free to do the things THEY want to do. I'm not sure myself but all i can say is i hope the rest of the season will be better but after these first four episodes I don't believe they will deliver the goods.
To me South Park is more or less officially dead. I will continue to watch the episodes that come in the future but I don't think i will ever be excited to see the NEW episode anymore since it will most likely be a let down. But as a long standing fan of the show i feel the commitment to watch regardless of if i feel the show has reached its lowest point or not.

thats right the first episode of the new season of south park was a total blow out. I just finished watching it and i can honestly say i didnt crack a single smile during the entire episode. It was really stupid and pointless this time. I get the message they were trying to send but the episode itself was pretty lame.

The Death of a POV Camera maker legend
Posted 12 years agoSo today I got word that the POV camera company CONTOUR has Disbanded. It came as a shock to everyone....even the employees when the supposedly arrived to work one day only to find the Doors were still locked.
Now i know many of you reading this Don't know who or what Contour was. Most people who don't really even know the POV world will know pretty much one name and one name only GOPRO ... Many people i know have these cameras.
Thats not to say that the GOPRO was nessisarily a better camera.....personally i think GOPRO just had better marketing. Either way it doesn't matter anymore....but what DOES matter to me is now......Do i box up my contours and keep them safe knowing that if something happens to them i will never get them fixed or replaced? Or do i continue to use them to make videos (yes i know i havnt made a good POV video on youtube in awhile) and risk perminant damage? I'm not so worried about the camera's themselves being damaged since they are made with a really good solid thick aluminum case...im more so worried about lenses getting scratched.
Either way i picked up about 200$ worth of Contour Camera accessories at rediculously low prices today at best buy costing me a mere 50 dollars For a case and many MANY mounting brackets and suction cups etc.
I was happy about this till i learned the truth. I thought maybe just best buy was canceling the stocking of Contour camera's and equipment. But one of the associates broke the news to me and i was pretty upset about it.

I understand that each side has differences and opinions and problems with the other but holy shit guys seriously? All the mud slinging and badmouthing eachother is just childish.
I love all three of you guys very much! You've been dear friends of mine for many years now and not only is this BS between you guys affecting just you...Its affecting everyone else. No one wants to have to pick sides in a debacle like this.
You may not see it that way but to those of us who are good friends with you guys it pains us just as much to see people who were once really great friends at eachothers throats over some petty stupid crap. Granted you may not see it being petty and stupid but honestly is that what it takes to end years worth of love and friendship over is something like this?
Ask yourselves that question. If you truely loved and cared for the people you claim to then work this shit out. Thats what real friends do. When there is a problem you try and work it out. If the friendship is truly worth fighting for then GOD DAMN IT FIGHT FOR IT! Don't just throw the shit away like yesterdays garbage over something that might have just " pissed you off" some. Granted the things we do as friends might not always sit well with eachother but thats when the whole "Working things out " comes into play so that you can get past those problems and continue to be friends.
You guys have been friends too long and have spent too much time together both at and away from con's to just throw shit away like this. All three of you need to shut the fuck up, sit down, and work this crap out like adults rather then on the internet bashing eachother every day.
You guys need to stop focusing on the BS that happened a few days or a week ago or whatever it was and remember all the good times you guys had together.......do you REALLY want that to end? End like this? A friendship like the ones you guys had going down in a ball of flames like this? Thats just not right.
Ive said my piece. I really hope beyond all hopes as your guys friend that you can listen to me and work this shit out. Because the friendship i have personally seen that you guys have had over the years is much bigger and deserves better then what its come to over the past few days.
You guys need to apologize to eachother, forget the stupid petty stuff, and try and rebuild the friendship you guys once had. Granted it may never be the same but that all depends on how badly you guys really want to be friends again.

Anyone need a ride to AC?
Posted 12 years agoSo unfortunatly im having a hard time finding someone to ride up with me to AC. If i don't, then ill be hot footing it to AC by myself which i dont really want to do. Not because i dont have the money for it but because a 14 hour car drive by yourself is just .......well ......its not fun....at all. The drive home will be long, boring, and depressing without a co-pilot to talk to. You don't HAVE to drive at all if you don't want to. I love driving just not alone.
Ill be driving from Iowa to Pittsburgh and crossing Illinois, indiana, ohio, and on to Pennsylvania to AC. So if you happen to be along the way and not TOO far out of the way ill pick ya up. Only really have room for one other person though.

Posted 12 years agoI will be shooting a video at AC and i need 4-5 Furs with suits and possibly a few people to help run camera and help direct.
The video will start out with a few furries in suit sniffing what appears to be cocaine with white powder on their noses to the tune of Cocaine by Eric clapton and as the camera pans across the room we see a table filled with booze, energy drinks, pixi sticks and finally at the end of the table......powdered sugar......then cue the meyhem when they go out of the room running and screaming acting insane while Buckcherry's LIT up plays in the background.
What do you guys think?

Posted 12 years agoOk .....alright.....i feel like its time I finally say something thats been pissing me off for ages.
Ok so i see everyones getting weasyl accounts and I've seen a few jumping ship from FA Claiming about how horrible it is and how the admins suck ETC.
So I havn't really had any major beefs with FA and SOME people have......BUT THATS FUCKING LIFE PEOPLE!!! We are human beings we make mistakes and we are not perfect and I myself have personal experience in trying to play damage control and its hard to please everyone all the time. Im sure dragoneer and his staff dont always make the best decisions based on what WE think THEY should do.... but thats what makes them the ADMINS. I'm sure if everyone had their way they would have done things a little differently but who's to say what YOU would have done wouldn't have made other people MAD AT WHAT YOU DID?!
I think you guys are forgetting one major factor here. FA brought us together as a community and while it has its flaws and its imperfections, I hate that people get all fucking bent out of shape over someone elses problems and start blaming the Admins of FA for not resolving it. It's obvious the problem happened both in and out of FA and as such the person who was being stalked should have taken more drastic measures then just trying to get that person banned from FA. I think we all know that if we feel threatened to the point where we think that someone could potentially harm us in real life then its time to take REAL LIFE MEASURES. Because if someone knows all our personal information ....then getting them banned from every place they are bugging you online does NOT mean they will leave you alone in REAL LIFE.
But then again that is human nature......to take shit for granted. You all take FA for granted. Do you remember what life was like BEFORE FA? Probably not but let me tell you the furry community was divided into smaller groups on other social networking sites and forums etc, and it was down right hard trying to meet all you people and see the things you've drawn and the pictures you've taken all in ONE place. Then FA came around and it was a dream. We were able to talk to and meet new interesting people and share stories, art, pictures, music etc, on one site. BUT now that the shock of having something so wonderful has worn off, now you start looking for all the bad things. The things that piss you off.
Like the random down times that can take a few minutes, hours or even a few days. But thats ok......because it should remind you of how nice it is to HAVE FA! So instead of bitching up a storm and pissing and moaning about how something thats free for you to use isn't working correctly or is down or the person who runs it is a dickhead.....Just imagine what it would be like if it wasn't here at all or if it never was to begin with. You know if we were all PAYING to use FA then it would be a different story.
This isnt any different then buying shit online. 9-10 times the only people who leave a review on a product tend to be the people who just generally have to high of standards and don't like something because it didnt live up to THEIR expectations. So a product might have a lot of negative reviews simply because the only people who are making the reviews are the people who had a bad experience. Ive found personally that about for every 1 negative review theres probably 20 people who liked it who simply didn't leave a review because they were happy with what they got.
Do you always leave a positive review online for every product you buy and are happy with? Probably not. So why leave FA simply because a few people are dissatisfied with their own experience here and feel that things should have been handled differently.
I dunno........my opinion.......people are a bunch of whiny cry babies who don't know how well they got it.
If you were broke and had no way to get to work but someone gave you a car that needed a little love every now and then to keep it running ......youd be happy right? Its better then nothing at all. But i see a lot of you being happy to have it at first ....then getting mad whenever you have to get new tires or brake pads or oil changes and calling the car someone gave you for free a piece of junk because you have to put up with the matinence or the crappy gas milage. You cant be happy you just HAVE a car. You want something that never breaks down and never has a problem because your ungrateful.
Yall need to stop complaining about shit all the time and just be happy you got something so nice instead of nothing at all.

Posted 13 years agoSo I don't know if you all heard the news or not but South Park will be cutting back episodes over the next year. They will only be running new episodes ONCE a year and will run 10 new episodes starting in September. That means roughly Two and a half months of new episodes.
So I can't honestly say im too thrilled about this move. They are cutting out 4 episodes and gotta wait all the way till friggin september to see new material. I do understand that the creators of south park have lives and all that jazz but im still kinda bummed out about it.

Yeah they make good shit but if they keep on trying to sue competitors over stupid little things like bounce back and the color and shape of their products how will they ever come up with bigger and better ideas? crimsonwolf 's wife went to sleep and didnt wake up this morning. This coming so shortly after 
ponybird's death earlier last week. I never knew VEX that well but i was getting to know him. I knew Mandy more and she was a very close friend please give your love and your prayers to Crimson. Clover left behind both a husband and a child and they both need support and love.
