Excellent article on the macro-picture of our political situation. We MUST get back to class politics as the rich have been waging class warfare - and winning - against workers for the past several decades. It's why Clinton, Biden, Obama, etc were so desperate to defeat Bernie Sanders as Bernie represents the working class fighting back. He was more dangerous to them than any Republican candidate because the Republicans and establishment Democrats alike are both on the side of the wealthy.

Pretty sure an attempted coup qualifies.

Also note how the police aren't doing a damn thing and would probably be joining the coup if they weren't on duty vs how violent they were against BLM protestors.

I wonder if I will ever know what it is like to live in a democracy. This hellhole was an oligarchy before I was born and now it's turning into a fascist military state before my eyes.

AO3 (beautiful and amazing site that it is) came about thanks to censorship/purges on LJ and FF.net, so we'll see what comes out of Tumblr's demise. Pollowfort is one possibility and I do plan on getting an account there once they're back online from their security patches.

It would be nice if I didn't have to sign up for and keep track of so many different sites just to follow certain artists. FA, SoFurry, InkBunny, Weasyl, FurryNetwork, more? I can understand wanting a better site, but you also have to think about your audience. There are only so many people willing to go through the trouble when it's easier to stick to one or two sites. Every few years a new site pops up and a bunch of "LEAVING" journals get posted. Then a while later the people who left in a huff come back because most people won't follow them. I currently watch 457 people here and you expect me to try and find and rewatch them all across 5+ sites? I'd rather not.
