Call me picky but I was getting tired of people calling me Ravnic like it was my actual Nickname! So this account had to be mine so I sweet talked the Admins into letting me have it since the person who made it in the first place was inactive since they made the account.

So I got Sonic Generations, some of you may know this fact already since I've been streaming while I play it once in a while. I won't be getting a controller until tommorrow thou and I've had to play the game with a keyboard so far. However the game is awsome so if your a sonic fan pick it up. Besides this Ive been doing a little hard here and there a commish once in a while so everything is going smoothly.

That's what I've been up to lately, a stream here and there lots of games because I luv ta play them and mint cookies! I even streamed me playing some starcraft II the other night for fun. I'd do it more often but people wanna see artwork and such more than games but I'll managed to fit a few sessions in there somewhere I'm sure. Big thanks to the wonderful people who have commissioned me so far.

I've been playing the battlefield 3 beta that is while still needing a few bugs here and there ironed out is great and I love it. Still drawing here and there of course with commission work coming my way pretty often. SO it's all going pretty good and I figured I'd just let you know.

I haven't posted a new journal in some time so here we go.
When it comes to exciting things I was able to visit En Masse Entertainment, the company working on the upcoming MMO TERA online. That was a lot of fun I had a blast, very much looking forward to the games release new year. Art wise I've been rather lazy as of late but I've been doing some doddling here and there. Not enough live stream thou but I hope to fix that soon enough. it just seems things happen here and there and gives me the excuse to not set aside some time for livestreams. I got Deus Ex and been playing that a little here and there, cool game not amazing really but cool. Dabbling in Stracraft2 more which makes me happy cuz I love the game but I haven't been putting much time into it. Seems I've been doing a lot of things involving games it seems! I even started playing Final fail XIV with a friend because he's a FF fanboi and he played a lot of XI. I will say thou if you ever had thoughts of trying XIV, don't... it seriously blows ass and it the more boring MMO I've every played. It make look decent but everything about the game sucks hard. I'm only playing because it gives me something to play with one of my best friends. So yeah games I've been playing games not enough artwork lol I better fix that.

So tomorrow is my birthday August 8th I'll be 25 years old!
I've got two gifts on the way that I ordered for myself, a new 6870 video card and a new naga epic gaming mouse. Tee hee new computer stuff makes me happeh so Im excited and waiting for them to get here. Other than that I don't have much planned for my birthday I figure my family will want to do some BBQ thing I suppose. Might get a few cards I imagine but we'll just have to wait and see. I told people in my last livestream that I was going to dress up like a clown during my next livestream and show myself on webcam. Needless to say people were all for it of course! :P

SO yeah happy birthday to me and such and I hope everyone else has a great August 8th as well!

So a friend of the family is visiting my mother so I'm going to be going out to their place soon for a little bit of a get together/BBQ sorta thing. When I get back later this evening I'll be doing livestream and working on some peoples commissions. Just figured I'd let people know in case they were wondering why I haven't started a stream yet today. So don't worry I'll be getting to that later tonight, I hope its not to late cuz I don't want people to miss out.

on another odd note my video card sudden is acting weird.. its not overheating or anything or having bad fps, but fer some reason the fan likes to jump up in fan speed for reasons unknown. I freaked out bad today when it started doing it because I started up bad company 2 and then this horrible noise came out of my computer tower. I closed the game down and checked my msi afterburner program and it showed that the fan speed had jumped all the way up to 100%! I don't know what the heck happened to make the fan act all crazy like it is. It's not that the video card is getting hot either I can see my temp at all times when playing games and such and it's at a steady normal temp same as it's always been since I put this computer together. however for some whacky reason my fan thinks it needs to jump up and down in fan speeds and scare me senseless. :/

So yeah heart skipped a bit when it jumped up to 100% for the first time ever since I've owned this computer, the fan sounded like someone shoved a wrench in it and I spazzed out. I even went down to the store and bought a dust off spray can to try and clean any dust that might have gathered but honestly there wasn't much to be found. So yeah I had my heart attack of the day, all the more reason for me to upgrade to a newer card when the fan starts acting crazy on the one I have.

I hope the sound of explosions and a night sky filled with pretty colors fills your 4th of July!

My brand new computer is up and running!

I'm so overjoyed its finally finished I'm so excited for all the fun things to come! I'm installing drivers and getting windows updates as I write this journal, soon she'll be all updated up and ready to install the fun stuff! Speaking of which I got a brand new copy of Starcraft II sitting here in my lap as it was delivered to my home today! Zerg will be running rampant soon yo! Oh you have no idea the leap I just took from the ancient rig I was using before, it's just beyond words I shiver thinking about it.

I'll be transfering my artwork and all the things I needed to save from the old machine at some point tonight. Goodness I have so much to install and update but I'm bouncing happy in my seat does matter what I'm doing!

So that is the big news for today, I hope I can unload some more on you at a later time!

Ok so my new computer was first supposed to be up and running last thursday, but sadly buddy did not bring said require component that night. Next they told me Sunday but then they were to tired to drive out. So TODAY.. later to-#@&$ing-day lol I should have the new rig up and running. The story is much more complicated than I've made it sound but still uuuuuugh!

I also just ordered Starcraft 2 Wings of liberty from gamestop. Hope I can get that tomorrow if I'm lucky but hell with this run of recent luck I won't get my hopes up. 8P

Art wise I've got one or two little pictures like the ones I've been doing in the work, just sort of a " when I feel like it " project.

Someone asked me if I was Raf, haha I can see why they'd think I was him. Rav.. Raf yeah I'm a pretty big rip off aren't I? 8P

Raf was my favorite artist for the longest time but sadly he hasn't posted sonic artwork in many many years now. However his style of art/looks was my favorite by far and I've adopted much of my style from his. So no harm no foul it put a little smile on my face being compared to Raf. 8D

If you don't know of Raf here the link to his DA page, he does post something once in a blue moon but I haven't seen sonic style art in many years. Still however he's what I consider one of the greats.

Just ordered most the parts for my new computer off Newegg... nnnngh so excited. The rest of the parts I'll order tomorrow since its Sunday and the bank isn't open to put more money in. It's no big deal really just the hard drive and I'll be getting more ram as well. Think I'll strip the last computer I put together apart for more parts I could use.

I'm so looking forward to all the things I'll be able to do finally, hell I'm excited to be able to just livestream while doing artwork!

A huge thanks to those who've commissioned me recently its been such a huge help. I'm now dancing on the very edge of what I need in terms of cash for my new rig. I'm so excited about all the things I'll be able to finally do, such as livestream while I do artwork and play modern PC games again.

However dancing on the edge isn't over the edge so I'm still looking for more commission work be it a $10 sketch to a $40+ colored image anything helps!

Ok ladies and gents the time has come for me to get a new machine!
Now sadly I can't walk out and spend something like $1000 bucks on one but I'm going to invest in a cheaper system that can get me by for now. The machine I'm using now god bless it for now bursting into flames thus far but the old girl just doesn't cut it in today's fast paced pew pew world. So where I stand now I have a few hundered dollars sitting in my wallet but to get something I feel worth the investment I need roughly another $100!

I tried to download and use two different streaming programs for different sites but alas the computer I'm on is so old and crappy it just locks up the things up when I try to broadcast. I can at least say I tired but still I am sad I can't stream for others to watch. I can always draw on websites such as mangamasters in the meantime.

I've posted a little art lately so thats good but nothing big besides that to report, I'm just boring that way. I had hoped to get commission work again after my long time away but still no bites since I started posting again. Oh well I have had fun drawing lately so I'll just have to keep my chin up and hope for the best.

Man I tell you for the past week I've felt just so blaaaaah and bleeeeeh! I've had a very hard time finding the inspiration to draw on a constant basis. I've done some here and there but I can't seem to keep it up every day, and that make me feel bad because I know many artist on here that can. One thing that I have sorta been keeping up on is graffiti drawings, I love graffiti pictures. They can be just so fun to do for me sometimes. Of course even those aren't immune to me getting bored and finding something else to do but still I've been doing a little here and there lately. I've got a big canvas on SAI that I just save and draw more on later. That is what I've been doing mostly lately, some other stuff here yeah but nothing finished or worth posting. I hope I can find something to motivate me here real soon cuz I don't want to fall in a rut and not post anything.

Something people out there could do to try and help me out if post links to your favorite artists. I've always found that look at good art can really get the blood boiling.

I wanted to ask what websites you like to draw on, I'd like to learn about more places I can go to draw. Perhaps even hang out with you guys and doodle some stuff together! So if you have a favorite place on the net to draw with other let me know where!

Since I haven't posted a journal in some time I figured I might as well. It's about eight thirty in the morning and I haven't slept but I'll give it a go regardless.

Honestly not a lot has been really happening with me but I'd hate to see the same old journal post sit there and taught me on my profile page! So as of late I've found myself playing Diablo 2 to keep myself entertained and I'll be honest I've been doing a lot less drawing since hur hur. How ever thinking about it now I'll probably scribble something down on paint chat or sai. I've just found inspiration few and far between lately and I think for me it really does hit my art production hard when I don't have the motivation to draw. A while back I had posted journals inviting people to mangamaster's paint chat to draw with me and even learn how to draw sonic style characters better. Shame as it was that very few if any people dropped in at all. I won't give up thou and I plan on trying it again many time in the future. Drawing with other really helps get my motivation flowing so I always try to.

Well I'll wrap it up there then.
