Walking in to the hotel for the first time and within 3 minutes finding
in the lobby, then proceeding to hug each other and cry because we were just so happy to see one another again.

I want to make it clear though that the important stuff are the things that created smiles. The real moments that matter aren't that I got banned or anything like that, what's important and what I want to be remembered about this convention is the joy that was spread, the laughter we shared, the feelings we can say we created together and don't regret. those are the things that should be kept in mind, treasured, remembered. Memories like how I called maybe 3 people to say I was leaving because I was banned, but when I walked outside there were close to 20 people who came to say goodbye. I don't believe in negativity, but I believe in positivity, and holy damn if there wasn't an abundance of positivity at that con... Well, shit, I must not know what it is then, because I couldn't walk 2 feet without slipping in it.
Again, thank you to everyone that helped make the weekend so astounding. I love you all, and cannot wait to share smiles with you again, ^____^

REPOST from Kihu: FA Should Allow Soundcloud Embedding
Posted 13 years agoFurAffinity allows users to embed YouTube videos in their journals but restricts all other types of embedding.
If FA were to allow soundcloud embedding:
1.) FA's users would be able to upload lossless or high quality music files with no filesize restrictions (currently, there is a 10MB file size restriction - only about 4 minutes of audio at max mp3 quality)
2.) Ability to embed sounds in journals! Simple enough. Advantage is clear, especially for musicians. Great way to promote, share, and would let FA's users blog music from both youtube AND soundcloud. There's a LOT of material that's exclusive to SoundCloud - some of the best.
3.) Uploading these files to SoundCloud instead of FA will reduce the strain on FA's (let's not deny it) already overtaxed servers.
4.) Soundcloud allows timed commenting. No more "Oh, around 1:10 you do something cool"
5.) Soundcloud allows the upload of FULL RESOLUTION album art. No more pansy-ass 100x100px thumbnails. We work hard on our album art to have it squashed into the size of a silver dollar? NO.
If you agree with these, repost this journal or write a similar one or something.
Let's make this happen.

On the 22nd of this month Chicago will hold it SECOND EVER furry rave at Valentina banquet hall. Complete with a bar, dance floor, reactive lighting system, fursuit lounge, outdoor smoking area, AND artist alley, this is going to be a night like no other, who knows, it may even TOP Tails & Glowsticks!
Tunes for the night will be provided by DJ SKRAT, DJ Jetti, and yours truly, Rawkz0rz!!

It's actually like a 2 for 1 dealio because it's a collab between Hoot and Muttmonster, both insanely talented and skilled artists who have very distinct styles. There is no doubt that together they will be creating anthro art of the upmost quality. If I had the cash I'd be bidding on this shit myself!!!
