Life update
Posted 9 years agoI know it's been awhile, so I figured I'd let you know how I'm doing.
First off, I am now currently unemployed. I came to the realization last weekend that in the company's eyes, I was nothing but a body to fill up space. The job was stressing me to the point that my blood pressure spiked to dangerous levels, the company denied me different positions about 15 times, and they kept putting in stations where I told them I would not work. So I gave them a weeks notice, and wound up quitting a bit early due to getting the flu.
And hence the second part of this journal: I'm sick. Last weekend, my sister got rushed to the ER due to major coughing fits. Come to find out, she had Bronchitis and the flu at the same time. The docs said that it should no longer be contagious, and that it would take her up to a month to recover. Well, the docs were wrong. Both my brother-in-law and I are sick, and it sucks. My fever broke yesterday, so now I'm just battling a sore throat and coughing fits. But with a job interview on Monday, it's kinda bad timing. lol I figured I'd be healed by now, not still sick.
Well, that about wraps up my exciting life atm. I hope all of you are doing well, and I miss all of my fur-buddies out there! *sends hugs to you all*
And before I forget, no, this is not an April Fool's Day joke, just poor timing on my part. lol
Another Health Update (good news at last!)
Posted 9 years agoI had to go back to the doctor, AGAIN, this last thursday for another check up. Well, this time, my blood pressure was down to 133/76, which is perfect (my ideal range is anything under 140/90). But, the doc wants to make sure it's going to stay there, so now I have to stay on all of my restrictions for the next three months. Yay.
But, good thing is, I've lost 6 pounds since starting the restrictions. I can't wait to see what weight I'll be at when I finally do go back in for that final check-up. ^^
My health is doing better
Posted 9 years agoI've been on my health regiment now for about a week, and I'm already seeing some improvements. My blood pressure is down to 173/83, and, though it's still high, my bottom number is at least in the normal range now, so I'm happy.
And I'm actually very proud of myself! I have cut out soda completely, and have been caffeine free for three days now! Woot-woot! ^^
DEADPOOL WAS AWESOME!!!
Posted 10 years agoI just have to say, the movie was a HELL of a lot better than the previews made it seem! I was very impressed!
The movie was awesome, with a perfect blend of violence, comedy, and plain old Deadpool being Deadpool. lol The only thing that caught me off guard in the movie was that it was a lot more graphic than I initially expected, but it was still well worth going to see.
They made all kinds of references to other movies, poked fun at the studio itself, and, in true Deadpool fashion, constantly broke the 4th wall. And, they also made a reference to Bob! (I know that'll make you happy 
amdor! xD)
All in all, I definitely would recommend the movie, and in fact, I'm going to tell you guys that you really really need to go see it! It was totally awesome and amazing and perfect!!
On a side note, I saw a preview for Suicide Squad while I was in the theater, and I kinda have mixed emotions on it. I mean, the movie itself looks really good, but there are so many inconsistencies with the characters compared to the comics that it makes me leery about going.

Posted 10 years agoI was worried about not going to see it, because I wanted to go with someone, but no one around me was super thrilled about going to see it. Well, my sister decided she would go watch it with me, because no one else would (I know, it feels just as pathetic as it sounds), and plus she thought it would be interesting (a gross understatement of Deadpool, imo. xD).
SO I'M GOING TO SEE DEADPOOL IN ABOUT A HALF HOUR!

Ugh...... [Health Update]
Posted 10 years agoI was feeling dizzy at work on Wednesday, so I went home early. On Thursday morning I was still feeling light-headed, so I called in to work and went to the doctor.
Come to find out, my blood pressure was through the roof (140/106), and that's why I was feeling dizzy and light-headed. I had to have some blood work done as well, just to be safe, and I'm on a bunch of restrictions as well: no energy drinks or espresso, only one soda a day, only up to two alcoholic beverages per day, and I have to try to de-stress (which is almost impossible at my job). I'm also on blood pressure medication.
So, I'm going to be an unhappy wolfy for awhile, but at least I'll be a healthy one, so I'm just going to suck it up. Lol
Sorry I've been quiet, and a bit of an update
Posted 10 years agoSorry I've been so quiet lately. Work has been extremely draining on me, and I have lost all motivation to do much of anything. I haven't had any new art ideas, any motivation to work on a new project, no will to even get up off my butt most nights. It royally sucks.
And, to make matters worse, the device I use at work has been sabotaged, so I have to move the product by hand now. Not the worst, but when you consider that I move about 300 lbs of product across half of the factory, six times an hour, for 8 or 9 hours, it takes it toll. And maintenance can't fix it until sometime this next week, because they're busy with a huge project. So I've without the equipment for a week now. Yay. >.>
BUT, on a more positive note, I am doing well otherwise. Besides being totally exhausted all the time, my health is doing better (thanks to my amazing gf), and I got a raise at work. Not much, but it made a decent difference on my paycheck. ^^
Also, for anyone who plays ESO on PS4, I finally got my guild up and going, and we're accepting new members! We are The Prophet's Outcasts, and we welcome anyone and everyone to join!
Well, I think that's it for any major updates. I'm sorry I've been offline for so long, and I miss all of you guys terribly. I'm going to attempt to be online a bit more, but you all know how well that's worked out in the past.
Hopefully I'll talk to you guys again soon, and I hope you guys have a good Valentine's Day. ^^

I do feel that Christmas is a holiday where everyone is invited to share in the bond of family,
and to gather around those we love and cherish.
And so I invite all of you to join in with me as I sit by the fireplace.
There's plenty of popcorn and hot chocolate, the fire is warm and inviting, and the lights are twinkling on the tree.
The stockings are hung on the chimney with care, and there's room for yours as well.
Come sit, and enjoy the holidays with all of our fur family.

There was quite a bit of fan service (maybe a bit too much),
and there were quite a few twists and turns throughout the movie.
It's well worth going to see, and it gives you A LOT to chew on.

Streaming idea, need your thoughts
Posted 10 years agoI had an idea at work today for doing a movie night every other night, or every weekend. I would put a poll up with a choice of four or five movies, let people vote, then I'd play that choice on the movie day. Then I'd do the same thing for the following time, including on the next list, the second place winner of the last list.
Would anyone be interested in doing that? If so, what kind of movies do you like? What days would work best for you guys? What streaming site do you guys recommend for it?

I FINALLY GOT A NEW PC!!!
Posted 10 years agoI AM SO HAPPY!!! *dances*
I finally was able to afford a new laptop, and I just happened to hit it on a sale, so I got a really good deal.
It's an Acer, and it has an Intel Core i5-4210U processor, a Intel HD Graphics 4400 graphics card, 6 gb of ram, a 1 tb hard drive, and came with windows 8.
I am so happy with it, and it's so nice. I really needed a new one, my old computer was a gift for my 18th birthday (and I just turned 24 in August, so it's about 6 years old). However, it was able to hang on and plug along until just this year, so I couldn't complain too much.
Now I'm going to geek out over it while I keep setting it up. lol

Hi everybody!
Posted 10 years agoWell, things are going well for me yet. I'm still working my butt off, and I hardly have time for myself anymore, but things are still good.
I'm getting really excited though, as my girlfriend is coming to visit in January, and I've been working on getting a few surprises lined up for our anniversary. SHHHH!! Don't tell her though! lol
As for my personal life, there's not much to say atm. Not a whole lot new in my life, just the same old shit, different day. I've just been trying to balance all of the shit I need to get done, while trying to have some personal time to myself (a task easier said then done. lol).
That's about it for the update for me. How about you guys? How are all of you guys doing? I do miss you guys terribly, especially my fur-friends I used to talk to on a regular basis.
Well, that's it for me. I'll try to get back to you guys when I can.

I'M NOT DEAD! xD
I'm sorry I've been quiet lately, again, life has been hectic for me. Between work, housework, and having get-togethers almost every weekend, I almost don't have any time for my own stuff. lol
Luckily, I'm starting to get my creative juices flowing again. I started working on some ref sheets for some of my characters that need it, and I'm starting to get ideas for commissions again (now I just need the money for them. lol)
Work is still going well for me, and I might have some good news to share. I don't want to say anything until after tomorrow, cause I don't want to jinx it at all. Suffice to say, I might finally be getting the position I've wanted since I started. ^^
Oh, speaking of work, the guys at work have started calling me "Jake From State Farm" (cause my real name is Jake, and ONE time I made the mistake of wearing a red shirt and khakis *facepalm*). So, I decided to make a costume out of it for shits and giggles. On Halloween I'll come into work wearing my red shirt and khakis, with a nametag that says "State Farm". XDD
Well, I think that's about it for me right now. I don't have much else new to say, besides that I'm still doing well in life, and that I miss all of you guys terribly.
