Well, things have finally settled down, for now
Posted 10 years agoI'm finally back down to a reasonable schedule at work again, but now I'm playing catch-up on projects around the house! lol Lately I've been working on cutting down our big wood pile into more managible pieces to put in the fire pit, and then I just picked up on two bikes I need to fix up.
Other then that, I am doing well. Oh, and I just got over a little cold. It started Thursday with a bit of a sore throat, then nailed me hard right after work yesterday. I've been bed-ridden until this morning, but now I feel great!
I think that's about all I have for updates atm. OH! One more! My girlfriend is coming to visit in January! We are going to be able to spend our anniversary together, and boy do I have a LOT planned *winks*. I just bought us a set of promise rings, and she squeed so frickin' loud when she got hers that I swore I heard it here in Wisconsin. xD
I do want to say thank you for all the new watchers, and thank you to all of my friends who are trying to reach out to me yet while I've been away. I've been getting all of your messages, and they have made me smile each time. I apologize for not getting around to responding to them, but I am reading them at least.
So, any updates from you guys? I'd love to hear them. ^^

Posted 10 years agoLol Actually, thank you all for all of the birthday wishes, they really helped me to feel good on that day. And I'm sorry I took so long to respond to them, my life has been hectic.
I just got more hours at work now, and they're kicking my ass. We started making a new product, and so my line got put on 10 hour days, plus 8 hours Saturday. So it's a lot of work for me. Lol but at least I'll have a good paycheck for awhile. And it'll only last a month. After that it'll be back to regular hours.
Thanks again for all the birthday wishes, and I'm sorry if I'm quiet for awhile again. Life is going to be a bit hectic for me for awhile. Lol

Posted 10 years agoI didn't realize how quiet I had been until I finally glanced at FA today! I feel so bad, it's been almost 3 weeks since I've been active at all on here!
I do miss you all! And Idk why I haven't been on here more often, it's just been.....hectic? Crazy? Life in general? xD
Things are going pretty well for me. My gf visited me a few weeks ago, and that was a total blast! We're planning on another visit soon, as soon as I can get the money together (my turn to buy the plane ticket. xD). Also, I'm doing really well at work! I got hired on fully now, and I heard through a friend (who is a supervisor at another plant) that the higher-ups are really impressed by me, so that's a huge boost to my ego! xD
I'm sorry to say, but I won't be working on the collars anytime soon. I do plan to work on them yet, but it'll more of a "when I can get to it" sort of thing. I'm really sorry on that, but between work and doing chores on the weekend, I realized I just don't have any free time.
SO, when I do get free time, I will be working on the collars! Just, idk when I'll get the free time. xD
OH! I have some other news! I just got approved for a credit card! I'm SO happy! Especially considering that I have almost zero credit. xD
That's all that I can think of atm, but I'll probably post more later (including a pic I got two weeks ago. >.>). I do miss you guys terribly, and I'll do my best to become more active again in the future.

Posted 10 years agoMy gf was just here visiting for a week, and it was pure heaven. However, she just left today, and, even though she's only been gone about an hour, I'm already missing her terribly.
I'm sorry for my absence lately, and I hate to say this, but I don't think I'll be improving any time soon.

Need some help finding an artist!
Posted 10 years agoSo I had a really crappy day at work today (which wound up in me being sent home after only working 2 hours. >.>), and no, I don't want to explain what happened.
However, due to this incident, I had a very powerful vent art idea pop into my head. And that's where I need your guys' help!
I want an artist who can do very emotional pieces and work with winged creatures. I am going to be picky on my styles though, as I have a certain image in mind, and I want the style to match (which is why I didn't go to my usual artists first).
If you guys could suggest some people, I'd really appreciate it! ^^
Life Update!!
Posted 10 years agoWow guys, it's been awhile since I was actually able to sit and go through stuff on here. Lately it's just been glance and dash. xD
I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm doing well now, just exhausted all the time. I got a new job, I work at a local factory making generators and pressure washers. We're on overtime hours atm, so since I've started, I've been working 9-10 hour days, and some Saturdays. Luckily (or lucky for me anyways), our materials department has been unable to keep up with our demands, and so that's forced us to drop down to 9 hour days. Which is great, cause that's still a bit of overtime, without being at the plant 10 hours. lol
The job is going well, and I actually got a few compliments on how well I've been working. That makes me feel really good, cause I was super worried about how my work ethic was. Nice to know I am appreciated around there, even though I'm somewhat new yet.
The only thing I don't like about this job is that it's kicking my ass. xD Since I've been working 9 hour days, I basically just come home and pass out. xD I mean, my gf and I were talking last night, and I closed my eyes for a second. When I opened them, an hour had passed already! That tells you something if I'm passing out on my gf! XDD
Anyways, enough rambling from a tired wolfy. Just know that I'm doing well, have a good job now, and that there will be a slight delay in correspondence from now on. I'll try to get to notes asap, but if it takes me awhile to get back to you, I'm sorry!
Also, how are all of you guys?! I miss you all, and I wish I had more time to be online again!

Collar raffle changes, and some business concerns.
Posted 10 years agoFirst off: I am changing the raffle. Not cancelling it, changing it.
You see, my pet Rue just brought it to my attention that fleece isn't a very good fabric to use for a collar. And so, I decided to change that part of the raffle:
The winner(s) may now get the collar in pretty much whatever fabric they want.
I will discuss it with them via notes, but I am thinking about offering: Fleece, flannel, cotton, fake leather, strap/webbing (Like this),
and pretty much anything else that I can get to work properly.
Also, I can try to do a different design as well on the collar. It'll make it non-adjustable, but I can custom tailor it exactly to the size of your neck.

Now, onto the business concerns:
It has come to my attention that there are some people who have an issue with the way I make my collars.
While I am not going to name names, I am going to say it's a shame that the person in question feels the way they do.
I have always admired them, and tried to look to them for inspiration.
That being said, I will say this here and clear:
If you have an issue with anything I say or do, or with the way I run my business, then please NOTE ME.
Keep it private and professional. Don't post comments about it, and don't post passive aggressive journals.
And do NOT take it to another site! That can be taken as slander, and can get people in A LOT of trouble.
I am a very reasonable man. If you bring me a valid concern/point about something, then I will do everything in my power to make changes.
BUT, if you just act unprofessionally and do the before mentioned actions, I will immediately dismiss your actions as childish, and ignore any concerns you may have.
As I said, NOTE ME about any concerns! [Just don't note me for commissions, that's what the email is for! xD]

I was having a lot of trouble my very first day at my job, but that was only because the production line I was working on was below waist level, and so I was bent at a 90 degree angle all day. Well, the next day my lead person moved me, and everything was good. I'm enjoying it there quite a bit, and have the job down pat pretty well. I've even impressed the lead person on that line, and have improved the way that station is set up too. ^^

So I settled for my current position. Well, my buddy is pulling some strings, and I might be getting switched to the original position I wanted! Posted 10 years agoYeah, that's right, I'm finally an employed wolfy again! I've been so sick of just sitting around being lazy all day. It sucks.
I applied at a local company called Generac, and they had two buildings I could work in: The Hub (their warehouse), and The Plant (their main production plant). Well, the day before I sent in my application, they quit taking applications for The Hub (even though they're still short-handed there *shrugs*). So, I instead applied at The Plant, just to get my foot in the door at least. I figured I could get some experience with the company that way, and then always transfer to The Hub later.
Well, I got the job at The Plant. I will be general assembly, starting tomorrow! The only bad thing? The Plant only runs one shift: 1st Shift. I'll be working from 6am to 2:30pm. Which isn't the worst, but consider the fact that for the last few years, my typical wake up time has been noon or 1pm. lol
Also, working first shift cuts into my time with my girlfriend, which has me kind of bummed. I mean, I know we can work through it, but it still bums me out a bit when I think about it.
So, wish me luck on my first day tomorrow, and that leads me to my next thing:
Since I'm no longer going to be desperate for money, I'll be able to raffle off a collar. Here's where I need some input: Should I raffle off a pre-made collar, or let it be a customizable one?

MY GRANDMA IS AWESOME!!!!
I was running low on gas money, and I had actually went to my brother-in-law for a small loan just to get me through my first week. He said he could do it no problem, but he'd have to wait till today to get the money out of the bank. Well, my grandma stopped in for a visit, and she gave me $50 just out of the blue! She said that she felt bad because I haven't been able to find work due to my busted rib (which is healed perfectly now btw), and this was her way of helping me out.
So now I have a full tank of gas in my truck, and I am a happy happy wolfy! ^^

Posted 10 years agoOmg, I am so happy! I just checked the calender, and this is the last week of my restrictions!
As some of you know, I broke my rib a few weeks ago. The doctor said it would take 6-8 weeks to heal, and during that time, I shouldn't lift more than 30 lbs, nor reach above or below my waist. Well, that kind of restricts me from applying for a factory job, since most places lift more than that for factory work.
*smiles* Guess what?! This week will be week 6 of my restrictions! After this week, I can start applying for jobs again! I am so frickin' happy for that! I've been feeling so cooped up, and starting to get depressed. Now I'll finally be able to get my life back on track!
And yes, I'll still be working with Dead Bite Studios, it'll just be restricted with how much time I can spend on it. And yes, I'll still be making collars. I'll even be making some premades once I get my first paycheck from whatever job I get.
*sighs and smiles* I am so frickin' excited! The end is near! xD I can't wait to get my life back, and get working towards moving to Cali again.

Posted 10 years agoMy best friend/brother dropped by yesterday, and gave me a bunch of old fur he had floating around. I dug through it when he got it here, and there wound up being A LOT of fur. There's three colors, tan tiger print, orange tiger print, and dark blue. There also wound up being some large leather scraps thrown in with the fur, which I got to keep as well.
Under close examination, I discovered that the tiger fur is Borg fur, from the Borg Textile Corporation, and it's dated 1978. There's also enough of the tan tiger fur to make a full suit!
I really want to work with this fur, so if anyone has a project in mind that could use this fur, I would probably give you a discount on it.

Posted 10 years agoUntil you actually go to clean it. I just started cleaning, and just got the bathroom and by the doors, and I've already had to clean out the vacuum cleaner. If just those areas are that bad, wait till I get to the rest of the house! Lol
Damn, I never knew how dirty this place was! Holy shit is it filthy! Lol

Posted 10 years agoIdk if it's just me, or what, but it seems like FA has been pretty dead lately. I don't seem to see many comments on people's work unless it's a popufur's work (and I use that term in lieu of a better term), and journals seem pretty blank too. Is it just me, or is everyone seeing that?
