A Wild Ride
General | Posted 9 years agoLife has many ups and downs, and I'm here trying to make the best of them. Screaming sometimes for joy, and sometimes in abject terror as the roller coaster chugs along. Here are some notable things that have happened since I got back from AC:

Tryouts for the dance comp, the dance comp, and probably opening and closing ceremonies. Everything else is up in the air.

Yessir! The dance comp and I really want to go to Fox Amore and Pepper Coyote's performance! Anything with music and dancing has my name all over it.
Will you be suiting?
I sure will! I'll have Darcy again, my punky English Bull Terrier. He turns 1 this year! :O Can't believe I've had him this long.

Help out a friend?
General | Posted 9 years agoOkay, so a very close family friend of mine found out they have cancer. It was a big shock to everyone, and they've been going through a lot of family stuff. They had been trying to go to college and they work a full time job. They can't exactly afford the treatments, they had to stop going to school, and they're running out of options. If you could give their Go Fund Me a look and help if you can, I would really appreciate it and so would they. They're only 22 and they've gone through so much.

No streams this week
General | Posted 9 years agoI don't like missing days for streaming, you all know I have a lot of fun with it and I like that you guys have fun watching me and hanging out. But this week is just too busy and I do not feel well enough to do much on the art front. Instead of streaming, I'm taking time to do more behind the scenes work and to do some studying.

Changes Inbound
General | Posted 9 years agoI won't be streaming again tonight. (I really can't do a complete week of streaming, can I?) I have a good reason though guys, I promise. After much debate, I've finally decided to take a business step forward. I'm making an alt account for all my commission stuff and info. This account will be here for personal art only.
This means I will possibly be dissolving my other two character accounts. There's no way I can keep up with four FAs at once. I can't do it. They'll be getting a folder of their own here on this account, don't worry. I'm not getting rid of them.
Continuing with updates, I have quite a bit on my plate right now, and I'm going to be trying to network to gain my audience on this new account. I'll also be making a new Weasyl for the same reason, having one personal and one just for business.
It might seem like a small change, but it's kind of a big one for me. I'm working on things like stickers, designs, and new banners and business cards for my business face. It's a bit of work, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run.
I'll post my new account within the week, and I plan on streaming again Wednesday and Thursday. I will stream. I promise.
And hopefully once all this is done, I can actually keep a stream schedule.

The things I had left to do are five to ten minute finishing touches) Instead, I'm working on a lot of behind the scenes personal project things. I'm recording scratch audio for my first review video, starting thumbnails (possibly) and doing tests with software. Not really too much I can stream to show.

State of Affairs
General | Posted 9 years agoMy stream will not be starting up today. It will be starting up again Wednesday, but I will be back! I'm still working on some technical things, and installing a new printer, which is super important. I will be back to work Wednesday.
Prolly not gunna do new adoptables for a long time because none of my recent ones have gone. :')
I'm working on obtaining a nice microphone that will allow me to make some rockin' videos for my YouTube. I don't want to say anything just yet, but I have some pretty big things planned.

The reason I haven't been posting art and I've sort of been padding out these commissions is... well... I'm not getting new stuff to work on. When I'm done with these, I have nothing lined up to fill my streams with. I have a few personal projects I want to work on, but I'm not sure how focused I'll be with them live. I might try posting a thing for stream sketch sign ups, see if anybody would be interested. Until then, I am still working, but I'm trying not to run out of things to do.

All Important Updates!
General | Posted 10 years agoOkay, so I'm getting back to my normal streaming times starting tonight. Last week was a mishmosh of horrible happenings, there was no way I could stream even if I wanted to. Tonight I will be live from 7pm-11pm EST, working on a commission and some personal work.

Returning from ANE 2016 (Announcements to follow)
General | Posted 10 years agoWhat a weekend. Holy cow. So much happened, and I got to meet so many people! I suited as Darcy for much of the con, and did as many events as I could. (Pushed myself a little too hard, but it was fun!) I don't think I'm gunna do a day by day break down, but I will say that I participated in the Fursuit Dance Competition, the Masquerade, and the Fursuit Group Photo and dance. My roomies were all fantastic, the dealer's den was amazing, and the events were awesome and well organized. Hotel staff was as nice as could be, and even some of the non furry guests seemed to be having fun. (Or were at least interested in us.) We raised even more money this year for Vest-A-Dog, good on ya mates! All in all, I had an absolute blast and can't wait for next year!
This all being said, I'm gunna need a day or two to recover from all the activity. @_@ Wednesday I will resume art and streaming. I'm taking it easy while my body heals. (Ended up with quite a few bruises.) I will also be working on editing the clips of video I took, so stay tuned!

I'll be at all the dancing events, the parade, the den, and the zoo.

Yes! I'm trying out for the dance competition, I always do the parade, and I'll go to as many dances as I can. ^^

I'll post a how to find me pic, but I'm a bean pole, short thing, who will be in his english Bull Terrier suit msot of the time. XP

I am a boy. He/him/his.

I'm gunna be 20. ;n; My birthday is two days before the con. ^^
- Can I Be Your Friend/Are you mated/looking for a relationship?
While I like meeting new people, friendship needs to be a natural thing. If we meet and we click, great! I love hanging with and meeting new peeps. But I'm not looking for a romantic relationship. I'm single, but a very private, shy, anxious person about that.
- How tall are you?
I'm 5'7"
- Can I talk to you?
Sure! I'm a little awkward at first, because nervousness, but I don't mind conversation. :)
- Can I hug and/or snuggle you/Touch you?
So long as I know you're going to hug me and I consent, sure! No creepy weirdness though... My bits are my business, paws off.

I suppose I am. XP I like being nice to people.

No. I do not. I take commissions.

YES! Please. Giving me money and food that I like is absolutely a good way to get art from me. I'll be doing trading cards and sketchbook sketches at the con.
- Are you buying art?
Uh, yeah. XP Absolutely. One of my favorite things about cons is the dealer's den.
- If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Wave, yell "Ray!", "Raya!", or "Darcy!" and you'll get my attention. I'll have some pretty bright badges on, it's hard to miss me.
- Can I take your picture?
As long as I'm in suit. I don't really care for my hooman face being online too much.
- Can I ask you to dance with me during the dances?
Depends on what you mean by dance. I'll be going to the dances, but I don't do grinding, or anything like that. If you want to battle on the floor, bring it! XD I dare ya. But no weird stuff.
- Can I buy you food/drinks/Take you for dinner?
Absolutely! I love chicken, chocolate chip cookies, and sodas, especially rootbeer. I am under 21 still, so no alcohol for me. (I don't like it anyway)
- Do you attend parties?
Art jams, yes. small get togethers with friends, sure. No big room parties with loudness and drinking. I don't like being around drunk people. I'm there to have a good time, not to baby sit.
- May I kidnap you to my room?
.... No. Especially if I don't know you. Stranger danger folks.
- Will you tell me your room-number and can I surprise visit you?
NO! I'm rooming with other people, and it would be disrespectful to them. You can only visit if you ask the room patriarch.
- I have a personal question for the convention. May I ask you that?
I guess? You can shoot me a PM, so long as it's not... creepy... Nothing you wouldn't ask your mother. XP
- What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Dance in the dance comp, get some new arts, meet new artists, visit friends. The usual reasons I always go to cons. And to celebrate my birthday. ^^
- Are you attending any other cons in the next year?
Yes! I plan on going to Anthrocon again and Furpocalypse as I usually do.
Streaming Announcement!

Tuesday and Friday nights I actually go and do things with friends, so I have some semblance of a social life.
TONIGHT, it is a Monday, but the stream is gunna be a little later because I need to go run errands.

Christmas 2015
General | Posted 10 years agoIt's gunna be a very different Christmas for me this year... While it is sad that my grandma won't be with us another holiday, it's better now that she is no longer suffering.
Thank you to everyone who has offered their condolences and to be an ear for me should I need it. I don't take loss very well, as I'm an emotional person, but I am doing... okay... It still hasn't felt real.
This year, all I want for Christmas is to spend time with those I love, who are still with us, while I have the opportunity to...
I'll be posting more updates and art related things soon. I'm just still... healing... It's hard. Commissions and personal projects have been a welcome distraction today. Hopefully I'll get some more to keep me gonig and carry me through the new year.

News Update
General | Posted 10 years agoThere's some good news and bad news. I'll deal with the good news first.
I organized my gallery. I made use of the folders and sorted my most recent submissions into them. I've also been keeping busy, with one thing or another.
Yeah, there's more bad news than good, so here's the not so nice part. My grandma lost her battle with Ovarian cancer last Saturday. Most of you probably know by now, but for those who don't that's why I've been a bit absent. It's been a difficult month or so. It is nice to get to see distant family members again, but it's never pleasant for these circumstances. The realization still hasn't sunken in yet. My grandmother was a big part of my young life, so having her gone... it just doesn't feel real. I haven't said too much about it because people were still being told, but I can now, since the wake and the funeral are tomorrow and Friday.
I wish I had more to share, but this has been pretty much what has been going on. Thank you to everyone who has offered their condolences and support.
Commissions will resume at a slow pace... It's going to be... well, a very different Christmas... and a difficult one...

The two days before Thanksgiving were awesome. Got to hang with Torben and Stryx and play lots of Mario-y games and just chill. Spending time with friends was just nice in general, and they're just amazing. :) Then family happened. XP It was a nice day at first. I loved the parade and the dog show. Seeing my grandma was hard, buuuut then we went to my brother's house. Oh my god. It was loud, my nieces were crazy, and I just wanted to disappear. Family time is just... difficult in general. But the screaming didn't help. So yeah. Holiday was a mixed bag.

General | Posted 10 years agoFor it to be Christmas. I finished and ordered my cards today, and I've been getting a lot of shopping done with my mom. I've been listening to my favorite Christmas CDs. I. Am. ready. My body is fully prepared. Bring on the chicken, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Wrap my entire body in garland. I'm gunna hug a pine tree.
That's probably a bad idea, but yeah. I'll be posting some seasonal YCHs and offering Christmas specials soon. Keep an eye out lovelies. ^^
