Anywayy, back to stuff

So yeah, I've never vent before or doing something like this, but I think need to make it clear this time because it's getting harder and harder to keep for myself

It have been a heavy for the last two months, if I'm honest. The reason? I am banned (or not allowed) to draw, by my family, the reason are kinda controversial tbh, kinda simply "You won't be made man if you keep on drawing and didn't do your job" and also "You need to find other hobby than drawing". For the record, I'm still in college, taking a major that are not related by any way to arts, that's why they could said stuff like that. Why they could say something like that? They said I'm turning "weird" and they said artist and art, drawing especially, is bad influence, they make you lazy and stuff (I kid you not, that what they said).

I honestly don't know what to feel, it fell.... empty. In the past (well, like 6 months ago) I tried to balance between my hobby and my focus (college). It turns out pretty good, I got a pretty good grades, and my drawing... well you see the improvement. The problem came when they demand something even better than what I got, they wanted me just to left drawing entirely. I tried to reason, but they just didn't hear it. They just want me to put down my pen, which I can't do. They threatened to left me on my own (which I don't want because I have dreams, and that dreams is balancing my art with my life), which mean I must comply somehow to that. I can't leave drawing because it's my hobby, it's something that brings me joy and make me have colors, something that... I love. But now, they just wanted be black and white.

btw, if you wonder how could I finish drawing then if you are restricted? Well I'm going guerrilla, I only drew when nobody is around (mostly when they are asleep), and keep following my family instructions, stuff like that. Anything that keeps them happy and still satisfy you all (and me), sometimes I just wanted to play games too (oh, playing is restricted too, still allowed a bit though), which making my drawing time abysmal compared to other artist (even by hobbyist standard). I tried to cut my drawing time by using a lot of method, cutting corners here and there, hopefully it's going to work.

Tbh, I feel empty now, I'm just going to sleep now, hopefully I can finish anything that are currently on (KAH especially, since it's going to due in 31 August)

and maybe I'll regret posting this journal and going to delete it, but for now... I just need a bit of venting

P.S: There is some details that I didn't wrote that maybe important, if I wrote it it's going to be too long, hahaha xD

Which have very devastating effect on my morale now, I need to make one, complete, simple drawing, like, only sketch and color, and shading, anything D:

Like the title said, I actually prefer to draw other people's character, dunno why, I don't really enjoy drawing my own character (even though I have a lot of them)

I actually wonders why....

So... well college will start next week, which mean that my drawings here will be kinda slow compared to my last one, which is as slow anyway, but, i will try to use my late-night time for drawing anyway, which hopefully I can manage to do, and also opening YCH, because it's faster and less demanding than commission

Don't worry though, I will try to finish whatever I have started, like YCH and stuff :3

I always wanted to make a vignette/story-pic/slidestory/or whatever it is called


like, damn, those things are godly hawt, because you combine full size art with a bit of story, so it's not just one piece of art.


What do you guys think about that kind of art compared to "normal" art or comic? Do you like seeing those?

In there you could also find my pending work that are currently in limbo (because, motivation), which I will finished when I got time (yes, life stuff is taking a lot of time now).

You could also find queue which could tell my workload at the moment, and in progress, so you could impatiently wait your drawing to be finished :D

Though, one thing that you can't find there is work that I made in flash, like quicksketch, quickdraw, or anything like that

anyway, I think that's all


Next week will be a busy week though (exams), so any progress that I made so far will be frozen for another week until the exam is over

Other than that, expect more stuff, since this time, somehow I managed to make two drawing simultaneously, both are hot, like, ultra hot

all of sudden I forgot how to make a good shading, like, suddenly an easy to shade drawing become 900 times harder

I wonder why this happen, and I hope I can back on my track soon enough
