Posted 10 years agoI am sorry I have been gone for so long.. I have not made much progress and I have been withdrawn for some time. There has been a death in the family and right now I just need time to recover from this.. I saw her die right in front of me and just.... I.. I need time to grieve.... Posted 10 years agoHello my lovelies! I am off at a con right now but I should be back either Monday afternoon or Monday evening!
I am going to be uploading the newest cuddle pack to the gallery very soon, we just had to get settled. You know how cons are. But then again this con is already very crazy! We got a nail embedded in our tire as soon as we entered the parking garage of the Sheraton hotel in Dallas. We freaked out thinking how are we gonna get home!! So I need some extra hugs from my furry friends. :(

RayRay Silverfur Sewing Terms & Conditions:
1. By requesting a quote and/or commission you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully if you intend on requesting a quote and/or commission from me.
2. I am under no obligation to accept any commission and may refuse or terminate any commission should I dictate good reason to do so.
3. If I terminate a commission after payment has been received, you will receive a full refund. This is very rare, however- just know that I am fair and have no interest in taking money for commissions that for whatever reason(s) cannot be made.
4. I pour my heart and soul into these bags. They take time, and with my current health situation some days are more productive than others due to pain. I cannot, and will not, give a deadline or date when your bag will be done. I will give an estimate and will do my best to follow it, but it is not a guarantee. If you are not prepared to wait a month or a few months for a bag, please do not request a commission. (Remember, getting custom-ordered materials shipped to me also takes time.)
5. One bag per person at a time. Hopefully this will change later when my health improves- but for now, you may only request a quote and/or commission for ONE character cuddle pack at a time.
6. I ONLY accept quote/commission requests when they are respectively open. Requests received when I am closed will not be replied to. I apologize but this is to minimize confusion and clutter when I am focusing on the few commissions I am working on while I am closed.
7. I love giving status updates on your cuddle pack being made- both in text and pictures- but please do not pester me for them. As soon as I have them, and if I am able to get them to you, then I will.
8. At this time the only materials I use for crafting bags are minky and faux fur for the character, and polyster belting for the straps. Things like jewelry will be mimicked using minky and will not be actual jewelry- same with horns, antlers, etcetera.
9. I live with two adorable greyhounds- they love to keep me company while I'm sewing, and as such while I am very careful with keeping your packs clean, your bag may still come with a few stray dog hairs wanting to tag along! For those with dog allergies, I am sorry but my cuddle packs are probably not for you.
10. Your quote price is determined mostly by the complexity of the character being requested to be made into a pack, and how that translates into the price of materials, and how long and how complex it will be for me to construct the bag.
11. PayPal is the only accepted method of payment for my commissions, and I require all payment up front before I start working on the bag.
12. Getting a quote does not automatically mean you will receive a commission.
13. Quote requests are required first before commission requests will be accepted, and quote prices are good for 6 months after they are received.
14. I can take a maximum of three different character quotes per quote request.
15. It is REQUIRED to have a reference sheet for your bag to be made. Not a group of badges or headshots or black and white sketches, one single reference sheet that shows, at the very least, a front and a back of your character in color. I will not give quotes out without a reference sheet.
16. As professional as I try to be, please remember I am a human being with emotions and while I welcome all constructive feedback about my craft and commission process, I request any concerns or feedback to be first conducted in private, and I will do my best to sort things out with you without any drama needing to be involved. I want to make the best bag for you, but I am still learning and will do nothing less than my best.
17. If your commission is a surprise or a gift for someone, please let me know so I don't post progress pictures or the finalized piece until the recipient of the bag has received it!

Update!
Posted 10 years agoThe doctors have given me clearance to start sewing again so I have searched for it through the mountain of moms stuff in the garage to get it back. (was it always that heavy ><) My physical therapy will be starting soon too, i have water and land therapy 3 times a week so im not out of the woods yet. Im working on a bit of personal projects first before i open up my commissions once more. But im looking foreward to seeing all the new projects that people will be bringing me.

Bad news everyone!
Posted 11 years agofor all of those who know me you know i have an exsisting back problem that is litterally a pain in my ass! well i have recently come back from the doctor and he put it in perspective on how much i was actually suffering from. My back or should i say my lower back (L4 for those who know medical such like i) the disk has totally colapsed and will need to be removed and replaced. I fear that with this procedure im about to go through, that i will not be able to work on the backpacks as much as i am right now. it will be about a month and some that i will need to focus on my health rather then the happiness of others.
Im afraid I will have to shut down shop in february..... for those who have won commission spots from me you will not be thrown to the wind. when I am better and i have the ability to sew (once with doctors approval and what not) I will be returning to your projects so dont despair you are still on the list. but for those of you who were looking foreward to getting a spot in march... you will have to wait that much longer. thank you for those who understand.
My health is very important to me since the pain i have I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy.... its that bad. thank you for reading this and caring about my situation to take the time to read this. I will get in touch with those who were in febuary and i will be keeping you in the list. sorry I could not make your deadlines. but this comes first.

Posted 11 years agoHello all. thanks for the wonderful notes everyone has sent me over FA and also Facebook. I love the fact that you guys are interested in what I do and are happy that I do what I do. :P so without further adue. heres the info for future project holders.
My commissions are closed for right now but will open back up in march. I will only be doing 2 in march because of surgery and recovery time.
ATTENTION!!! those who commissioned me in February and are going to furry fiesta in Texas, you need to let me know so i can get your bag ready by then and I can deliver it personally to you. :D

Commissions!!! BRING ON THE PROJECTS!!!
Posted 11 years agooh the wonders of work. GWL has given me some time off so I will be using this time to be starting up commissions!
the base price for a back pack will be about 70$
price will raise due to the complexity of design you can message me for details!
all backpacks pass a series of tests before i send them out like a thing i like to call the movie theater test, which means you can put whatever you wish like food or drinks in the bag and no look guilty to the theater staff.
a weight test which the backpacks in the past have been able to hold about 20lbs and also go through a bounce test for strap stability.
cuddle test. of course cant have a cute fursona backpack without a cuddle test. :P
also each backpack will come with a small drawing from the amazingly talented Tigger-pup.
Each backpack will also receive full time repair if anything happens to them free of charge :)
the bags are made of minky with fur for certain parts say chest fur or mane and just regular hair poofs.
if you have any questions for me pertaining to these backpacks please feel free to message me. Im looking for projects to test my skills

Packing peeves >>
Posted 11 years agoalright so i sent out a few commission bags that have been sent out.
first time i went to the post office I got the box and went home to get it all adressed and what not, which was perfectly fine since we planned for it. one thing i didnt plan for was to close to box we needed tape. of course.. I swore we had the packing tape that we needed. turns out i couldnt find it at all. by this time my blood pressure was rising from the fact i was cutting it close to when the post office closes. -_- we went to dollar tree to get tape. horrayyyyy!! i have tape that only costs a dollar since walmart wanted like 4 bucks for the damn thing... anyway we got the box closed and addressed and ready to be shipped out when i leaned back by my sewing machine i see in my little sewing stash where i keep my scissors and stuff there it is...... UNDER A ZIPPER..... a thing of packing tape... I wanted to flip a table so much.
anyway package is out and being sent to its new home. hopefully I will not get trolled by tape ever.... EVER... again..

Update!!! life, commissions and what not

Anyway commissions are off and on from the fact ive recently had about 6 shots in the spine (ouch!) and my back has reacted bad to it. so i am in pain 24/7 until oct 30th we can find out what the next step is to make this PAIN GO AWAY! >:( other then that i can only stay at the sewing machine for about 3 hours at a time.
I also have a full time job so if i am inactive that is why. because GWL just LOOOOOOOVES me to work arcade and break my back by the end of the day.... yay...
onwards out of real life and to the commission info. HORRAYYYYY!!!
commissions will be occasional and hoping that i will take them full time once work slows down.
thanks for noticing this useless banter. PEACE! gonna go rock out to disney tunes and slave over a smoking sewing machine :P
