I Assure You, We're OPEN!
Posted 11 years agoWait, no ... here's what I meant to say:
I assure you, I am working on commissions.
I know it's been a long time coming for ... well, pretty much all of these, but I promise they will get done. Part of the problem is that I had a job for awhile that had weird hours and I was finding it damn near impossible to find any free time. But--bad for bank account, but good for you guys--that the job ended today, so I should have some time to finish these commissions, hopefully soon.
Thanks to everyone for being so patient, even those who checked up on me--I have no problem with that, but I figured others might be starting to wonder how their commissions were coming along as well, so here's an update of sorts.
Progress in the link below--will be updated whenever there's ... well, progress:

(I didn't wanna have to update more than one list)

Still doing Pony commissions + accepting donations
Posted 12 years agoJust wanted to remind anyone following me that I'm still accepting Pony commissions.
Also, for anyone who isn't into MLP, but wants to help out anyway, we're accepting donations through PayPal: stilldonating[at]gmail.com

New Q and A Vlog (11/26/2013)
Posted 12 years agohttp://thatguywiththeglasses.com/bt.....denas-vlog-qaa
Also, in case you aren't interested in a pony commission, but would still like to help us out, we're still accepting donations through PayPal at stilldonating@gmail.com.
Otherwise, if you're in the Sacramento area and have a spare room or something, please contact me--at the rate we're going, we might be homeless by Wednesday the 4th.

FYI, I have one of those Weasyl thingamabobbers

Just in case you're on Weasyl and wanna add me. Honestly, I don't really post anything there that I don't already post here and on DA, but there ya go.
In other news, I've just moved and my computer isn't hooked up yet (I'm on the laptop--not to mention that I left the scanner behind) so updates probably won't happen for awhile.

Q&A Vlog (8/16/2013)
Posted 12 years agoLike a year ago, I mentioned I wanted to do a Q&A Vlog, and like one person asked a question here.
Anyway, I finally actually filmed the damn thing, and it's posted on Channel Awesome.

Q&A Vlog--ask me stuff.
Posted 13 years agoI'm thinking it might be fun to do a little Q&A vlog, so if there's anything you might wanna ask me that I could answer in that format, post it in a comment, or as a PM.
Already getting some interesting ones on Facebook and Twitter. I doubt there's anyone here who wouldn't have seen it in those other places, or DA, where I just got done posting it as well, but I wanted to cover all bases.

Minor little update (EDIT - ... NOT!)
Posted 13 years agoBeen meaning to record a vlog, but I never seem to think of it at the right time, so this should do for now.
The short version is that I'm cutting back on video production, and spending more time on art and such.
I've gotten to a point where I need to focus on things that will make money--Lee and I will be forced to move sometime in spring of next year (we knew it was coming, we just didn't have a specific time frame until recently) and right now we make just enough to get by and have very little saved up. Frankly, my videos do not get many views, and with Blip not paying out much lately ... I'm just not making enough money on my videos to justify trying to do them on a regular basis.
Clearly, I'm never going to be able to make videos full time and be able to live off that--most people who are able to pull that off have either found a great niche where there's a big audience for it, or they're still living at home so they can get away with doing a part-time job, or maybe they're in school, and they have more free time. Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that making videos is really not going to get me anywhere--there's nothing to work towards in this area.
Now, this does not mean that I'm going to stop making videos. I like doing it, and I think I can honestly say I'm good at it and I'm usually proud of the end result ... plus I've made many awesome friends through making videos (hey, I became friends with a voice actor from one of my favorite games--how awesome is THAT?), so I certainly don't consider it a waste of time. I will continue doing it, but only on a monthly basis or so (which isn't too different from what I've been doing lately, but I guess now I'm making it "official").
October will still be "Silent Hill month" for the Game Den, so don't worry about that, and I plan on trying to get "Transformers month" out sometime this year (Facebook friends might remember that--I threw together an opening sequence in January of last year and posted it there), and I have a Film Den episode I started before my hiatus last year that I can finish and put out at some point. But it's going to be a relatively uneventful year for my videos overall. Other than that, I'll still be doing HorrorCast episodes and commentary videos in between those few big things I have planned.
So what DO I plan on doing this year? Two things, basically: My Little Pony and Cyborcats. I'm sure that got a laugh out of some people, but let me explain =P
Since I've pretty much become a Brony/Pegasister, and there's a big market for MLP plushies (they can go from anywhere between $50 and $1000), AND I'm generally good at sewing, I plan on making those and selling them on ebay. Currently working on the first one (it'll be Twilight Sparkle--I've posted in-progress pics on Facebook). Also, I've been really enjoying doing MLP fan art lately, so I'll be hopefully selling prints of those at conventions (and possibly online--I'll have to look into that) ... AND, I MAY EVEN START TAKING COMMISSIONS (I'll go into that more when/if I make a concrete decision about it) ... but only on MLP fan art, just because I've come to love drawing ponies so much, I figure I may as well try to make some money off of it =P
As for Cyborcats ... hopefully I can finish those character sheets and get working on the comic book again. I just feel I've been putting them on the back burner for far too long. This is obviously not something that'll make any money in the near future, but this one is more about working towards a goal. Cyborcats may only ever be something I do on the side, but I really need to make it happen in some form.
Wow, I really didn't mean to go on for so long--figured this'd be a quick little entry. I guess I'll probably still record that vlog, but I think I pretty much covered it here o.O
(PS: I plan on cross-posting this everywhere, so sorry if you end up seeing it multiple times =P)

Might be going to Mephit Furmeet this year
Posted 14 years agoIt's up in the air, and I know I don't have that many followers here anyway, but figured I'd mention it in case anyone was interested.
http://www.mephitfurmeet.org/
Only if I think I can make enough back to cover the cost of a table in the Dealer's Den. It's a bit pricey (well, for my budget--not a bad deal overall, tho) but might be worth it if I get get enough artwork together that I know will sell (will NOT be in the Artist Alley because its run badly and seems to be only for artists who do commissions on the spot and only need half a table--tried selling art there once a few years back and it was a very bad experience).
Anyway, I plan on having some Cyborcat art, video game fan art (Final Fantasy VII, Soul Reaver, etc.), and plan on doing some My Little Pony fan art by then ... we'll see how it goes.

Yes, FA, I still exist =P
Posted 15 years agoHaven't been doing much drawing lately, let along drawings of Cyborcats, but I've uploaded a couple that were done recently.
I've actually been kicking around the idea of bringing Cyborcats back from the dead and seriously working on the comic book idea again.
I discovered this site: http://www.loyaltyliberty.com/ ... the subject doesn't interest me all that much other than "Whee, kitties in costumes ^.^" but I love how the site is put together and I can see doing something like this with Cyborcats--it just might work as an online comic.
Unfortunately, I've just gotten slammed with overtime at work, so I've had to do away with most of the projects I was planning to work on other than the occasional video for TGWTG.com (Yah, for anyone who doesn't know, I've got a couple of video series' going on there, namely The Game Den, The Film Den and I just finished a Lets Play of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, but I digress).
Still, I might pick away at it occasionally. If nothing else, I want to redesign another character soon.
Well, off to disappear again! *waves* ^.^
