The Elemental Challenge is my drawing challenge for this week. Basically draw a creature/being composed of, or representing one of the elements. To add variety and options for all sorts of creatures/beings to arise I have decided that the primal element of the creatures/beings will be the traditional Water, Air, Fire, Earth, and include the elements from China/Japan as well so that means:

Air
Water
Fire
Earth
Void (or Sky)
Metal
Wood

Each creature/being will have a period of 24-48 hours to be drawn/completed. These drawings can be as complex or simple as desired, so long as they give the viewer the strongest impression of what the creature/being is supposed to be representing.

So I'm going to do a sketch a day thing, but this one will be a little bit different. I shall work my way through the alphabet combining animals with names of starting with each letter of the alphabet, starting with A+B until I each Y+Z. Today will be the first day, so I shall be making an A+B combo sketch, possibly simple colors.

It's hard to keep conviction when you've got your own voice telling you how awful it is and then a chorus of others coming in, but I shall try to remember that I do art for enjoyment and each step I take for my own betterment is a step worth taking. The pathway may be rocky, and dangerous, but you should be wary of the road of least resistance for a life without challenge is one without growth and interest. So, time to clear my plate of my current projects and keep taking more steps.

so I think I'm going to start doing quick sketches...I do plan to finish the dragonlady in my scraps *scouts honor* I am just at a hurdle with her, so I'm going to see how fast I can get a piece done and be satisfied with it. This shall require two things, my egg timer and not playing D3 haha
