Heavy boxes and broken elevators
Posted 10 years agoYesterday (10/14/15), I went to work before I headed off to school. My job is on the second floor at a strip mall, smallish card/board game shop. I got in with my coworker and we did our separate jobs before the boss came in. The boss eventually comes in before I have to head off for school and the UPS man shows up as well with ~15 boxes of stuff. No elevator means no way up but the stairs right? So I'm volunteered to help the UPS man get all these boxes up the stairs and to the office. I took a couple at a time until my third trip, where I took 3. This was the big mistake.
I got to the top of the steps and went inside and my legs told me no more. So to my knees I fell. Tried to get up, got about halfway up and then my legs told me no. So I set the boxes down and moved them one by one. I didn't notice any problems (aside from my legs being sore).
Fast forward to later yesterday, walking around downtown at school and I notice my back is starting to hurt. Oh joy. It's continued to this morning, but I have pain meds that I'm taking. Here's to hoping I didn't screw my back up!

Life Update
Posted 10 years agoIt isn't very often that I make journals, but when I do it's important for me.
A few months ago I got a job at a card shop and have been enjoying it ever since. Sorting and filing cards may not seem that fun to most people but it is a very relaxed work environment and pays very well for what it is, so I enjoy it.
Recently however I lost a friend. Not due to death or whatever, just due to a disagreement. I tried to confront him about a couple things which eventually led to him telling me he didn't want to talk to me anymore. I wished him a good life in that case and he retorted with something about how I would have a harder time in life and proceeded to block me on everything. At first I took it pretty crappy. Not that I cared, people say things when they're upset that they don't mean but I thought surely he meant it. This was a few days ago now though. In the meantime I've realized that instead of being salty about it, I should do something else with my time. I'm going to take up learning some coding language. I haven't decided which one yet, though it will probably be C seeing as how I've bought a book for it at a previous time.
So in short, I had something pretty crappy happen, but I'm going to look at the brighter side of life. After all, what should the word of a drug addict mean to me?

* People to listen - Either when I want to be left alone or if I want to talk about something.
* Understanding - People don't seem to understand things or take cues. I don't like this person, please stop talking about them with me, or I don't want to have a relationship with this person. Just understand that I have reasons for what I do.
* An Ice Drake? - Bad Dragon stuff.
* The Walking Dead Season 2 Game - I enjoyed the first one. A lot.
