life update
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm back from my hiatus and have had time to settle down from what life has been throwing at me. I've recently had a falling out at my job due to my anxiety/stress problems and I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a new one. I figure if my boss cares more about making money than the mental and physical health of his employees then I don't need to be there. Also, my ex and I are still talking. At first I thought he'd pull the "I never want to talk to you or see you again" card but we've been keeping a friendship together.
So much for that... (possible hiatus)
General | Posted 11 years agoCopied from my Tumblr post:
I may be on here very infrequently in the next few days. My boyfriend decided that he “just wasn’t feeling it” and decided to dump me. At first I was angry but now I’m just horribly depressed and I can’t get over the feeling that it was somehow my fault. I feel so horrible and being online waiting for his messages he promised me isn’t helping. Kind words would be nice but aren’t required.

No longer single
General | Posted 11 years agoThe not so secret admirer from my last post and I are now together and I'm the happiest I've been in over a year. We've been talking for about a month but on the 5th we decided to make it official.
Btw, the shirt was a little too big but he gave me an awesome belt to make up for it.

Upcoming Hyena Agenda review
General | Posted 11 years agoSomeone I work with (coughnotsosecretadmirercough) got me Hyena Agenda's voodoo t-shirt so expect the Hyena Agenda product review I promised. He might wait until my birthday to give it to me but I doubt he can wait that long.
P.S.
I learned that when I like someone I chainsmoke to the point that it's ridiculous and I go through a pack in 8 hours. >.<

WARNING: someone using my username
General | Posted 11 years agoI was the only Razorscab on the internet for 10 years until it was brought to my attention today that someone who plays World of Warcraft, Diablo and possibly Hearthstone has the same username as me. If this person claims to be me it is not me! I don't play either of these games and if they are claiming to be me I'd like to know immediately.
I know it's probably some young kid who saw my name on one of my old sites and thought that it was cool but still, I'm kind of wary about it since I was the only one for so long.

PFFFFFFT (manga speak enclosed)
General | Posted 11 years agoI just found out that Time Guardian is a rare manga. I need volume 2. Volume 2 is $36+. I don't have that kind of money to spend on Japanese comic books. *cries*
On a lighter note, I went to a store called 2nd & Charles and splurged on a bunch of manga so I have some summer reading to do. My most recent purchases (over 3 separate trips btw) include:
Legal Drug vol 1
Loveless vol 3-5
Millennium Snow vol 1
Zombiepowder vol 1
Zero: The Beginning of the Coffin vol 1
Peacemaker Kurogane vol 1
re:Play vol 1
Togainu no Chi vol 1
Cirque du Freak vol 2
Vampire Knight vol 4
I also ran out of room on my manga shelf. Oops.

Getting a lot more hours
General | Posted 11 years agoStarting today I work an 8 day stretch. I had to call off (ahem, play hookey) the last day I worked because I worked night shift and I had to be in Baltimore the next morning. Within the past month I've gotten sick once and almost had a panic attack last week but luckily I was working with someone who understands what panic attacks are and she let me sit in the office for a while and kept asking if I needed to go home (a lot of people don't understand).
I wish I could sit at home and play LoL all day but hey, at least I can pay my bills and have some money left over.
P.S.
I really need to clean the upholstery in my car but I don't have the time. Looks like my seats are going to just be covered in stains and sawdust for a while. (The guy who had the car before me worked in a saw mill. When I first cleaned it I had enough sawdust to make a small wooden plank)

finally getting more hours
General | Posted 11 years agoThe slow season at work has apparently ended because I got my schedule for half the month and I work 9 out of the 13 days scheduled. It's going to be stressful but now I can pay my bills and not have the "gas money or basic household items" debate. In the month of April I only worked 10 days out of the whole month. Now I'm making that in 2 weeks.
So basically I won't be on as much and I may be a little pissy at times until I get used to working a normal amount of days again.

MyAnimeList
General | Posted 11 years agoI've been watching/rewatching anime and reading some manga (I only finished one series so far but it was only 1 1/2 volumes long so it doesn't count) so I decided to make a MyAnimeList account. I'll post all the series I finished and I'll post beginning dates of when I start new ones. I'm currently watching No.6. Feel free to suggest stuff for me to watch and I love discussions of stuff I've watched.

Trying to get into shape
General | Posted 11 years agoI recently took an interest in cosplay after my adventure at Comic Con, but I feel like at my current weight, the characters I want to dress up as won't look right. I'm currently somewhere around 185 lbs, have a muffin top and I have very broad shoulders that make me look bigger than I am. I've also come to realize that since my dad doesn't have a lot of money he likes to feed us fast food, frozen pizzas and other things that aren't good. Smoking doesn't help my situation either.
I'd love to get into much better shape but I'm not sure where to begin. I've been trying to eat healthier foods and when the weather finally clears I'll be taking walks in the woods. Does anyone else have any tips?
And for whoever's curious:
Working on:
Alex DeLarge (A Clockwork Orange)- 80% done
Soubi Agatsuma (Loveless)- ~10% done
Might try:
Cain (Starfighter)
San (Princess Mononoke)

Central PA Comic Con 2014: The Report
General | Posted 11 years agoOn Saturday morning my friend, a coworker and I went to Carlisle for Comic Con. We left around 7, almost got lost, but we arrived safe and sound at the convention center around 9:45 (my car was the beat-up Beretta with Hyena Agenda and Kitty Loves Monster stickers on it, my coworker drove himself). The con itself was actually pretty small but there were a lot of people there. Everyone in the dealers room and at the different panel tables were very nice and fun to talk to.
My favorite people to talk to were the people at the Starting Under booth and I got to meet and get a picture with Richard Catizone, who did the animation for the Creepshow movies and various stop motion works including Evil Dead II. I was wearing my Dark Crystal t-shirt and we had a lovely conversation about the movie. His panel was also very fun to listen to. I also had fun talking to the guy selling different anime merchandise and I love how he said "I've watched 95% of these series so if you were thinking about watching one I'll tell you if it's good."
Unfortunately, my social anxiety did not help one bit at this con. I wanted to get pictures with quite a few people and didn't know how to ask, resulting in me turning around and walking away red-faced. After a while this started to take a toll on me so we decided to stop by the Harrisburg mall to kill some time before the movie started at 8. Before we left we realized a cute little quirky groundhog was living in a hole about 8 feet from my car and I had fun watching him while we took a break. We all took my coworker's car and since he just put in subs we jammed out to stuff like Gangnam Style, Selfie and Ice Ice Baby and I got him to play a Mayhem song and we all did a Night at the Roxbury's thing. When we got to the mall I geeked out in a store called 2nd & Charles and drooled over their massive wall of manga.
We all headed back to the con and my coworker went home because he didn't feel like watching Night of the Living Dead. Sadly, George Kosana couldn't come due to an injury and the con owner (bless her heart) couldn't find the dvd anywhere to play the movie and she felt so bad that, since we were the only 2 who showed up for the movie, she gave my friend a t-shirt and she gave me a dvd, which was a mini-series called Bullet in the Face (if you like crime shows and dark comedy I highly suggest it). We went to the game room and played Capcom vs Marvel until the dance/masquerade started at around 9:15, which then we decided to head to the bar to split a beer. We headed to the bar and met up with the creator of Starting Under again. He bought us our beer for sticking around this late and being so supportive of his show and we talked for about 20 minutes until we had to start home.
Pros:
-Very organized for it being it's 3rd year
-Everyone was very nice and eager to talk
-The owner was such a sweetheart and everybody loved talking to her and giving her big hugs
-Very fun
-The area had lots of things to do if you needed to wait between panels
Cons
-Very small. We saw all of the venders in a little over an hour
-My social anxiety prevented me from talking to the cosplayers and fursuiters. I did nod and smile at one fursuiter as we walked out, which is a shame since I felt comfortable to talk since they waved first but we had to go (watches going out cuz I'm sorry I didn't talk)
Over all, I'd definitely go again. Maybe next time I'll cosplay.

Weasyl and DA
General | Posted 11 years agoI caved and made both mostly so I could claim my name. I made the DA so I could watch people like HamletMachine and Arseniks and anyone else who does amazing non-anthro art.
Username for both of them is FANGwoof.
Razorscab is a name I made up when I was 14 or so and just starting to use the internet and thought it sounded cool. Now this is pretty much the only site I'm active on that I use that name for. The good news is that I'm the only Razorscab on the internet (the last time I googled my name).

General | Posted 12 years agoI want to make a Night of the Living Dead themed badge before April 4th. I'd rather have someone else make it but Paypal doesn't accept Visa gift cards and that's all I use to shop online.
If someone wants to do a trade for one I'd be more than happy to. Just post examples of your work.
.:edit:.
FANG's ref is on my front page. I'd like the badge to be either black and white or muted colors. I'd like her to be a zombie (they're not very gorey zombies, ripped clothes maybe) and maybe have it say "Night of the Living FANG", FANG being in larger letters. I can look up some fun horror fonts and post them here.
Also, this will be digital for digital. I can print and laminate it myself.

Xannus is growing more and more on me
General | Posted 12 years agoI've come to the point where Xannus is kind of like a secondary fursona to me. I've always felt that there was a kind of male side to me, and he fits that side. I've even made him the mascot of my Tumblr page. But it goes even deeper than that.
FANG and Xannus are both two sides of my personality. FANG is all the good and Xannus is all the bad. Where FANG is happy, energetic and loves life, Xannus is depressed, angry and isolated. I always imagined him as the person who was hurt so many times in his life that he pushes everyone away, ultimately leaving him more depressed. Sadly, this is my life right now and maybe that's why I feel a little more closer to him.
I'm trying to decide whether to make him a sexual character or not, since I feel that drawing FANG in a sexual situation, even her nude, would be awkward. I've maybe only drawn her that way a handful of times and I think it's because of me not being attracted to anyone anymore. I feel that being that way in this day and age isn't really understood by most people, but then again, I have urges too. I feel like where FANG can't be that outlet, Xannus can.
I don't know exactly why I'm typing this. I guess I'm just putting thoughts out there.

Anyone ever washed a Webkinz before?
General | Posted 12 years agoI sleep with one and he currently smells like dog since my dog steals my blankets/lays on him. The tag says "surface wash only" but would it hurt to put him in the washer on a delicate cycle or something?
And yes, I'm 21 years old and sleep with a stuffed animal.

General | Posted 12 years agoMy RedBubble Experience (aka I got a Lapfox shirt)
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I hear a lot of terrible stuff about RedBubble after I already purchased the shirt so I was a little nervous about the whole thing. First off, I had trouble using a Visa gift card even though the site allows them. After resubmitting my info the second time and it failing a chat box popped up and said something along the lines of "Need some help? Talk to one of our Customer Service Reps." The CSR was very friendly and talked me through the steps of getting the card to work.
The second scary thing happened when the email confirming my purchase was sent gave me two tracking numbers instead of one. Again, I emailed a CSR and they informed me that it was just a glitch that made it send two. After 48 hours I could see that one of them was invalid and the other wasn't.
So now for the actual t-shirt review. I got this shirt in Army. When I opened the package I got a RedBubble sticker (was hoping for a pin) and a little cloth tag with washing instructions. When I pulled the t-shirt out of the bag it had a slight chemical smell that like someone else said in a review, had a weird grape bubblegum aftersmell but I expected it with the inks they use. It's on an American Apparel t-shirt, which I love because they're so soft and comfortable. The color differs slightly from the site. The site's looks more army brown on my screen but it is in fact an army green, which I don't mind since I love both colors but I can see where someone could get confused. It fits nicely and the print is very nice and I can tell the ink will most likely set a little more after I wash it.
Overall, I give my experience 7/10. I would order there again if I really wanted something. Pics may come later.
And I just realized I never reviewed my Hyena Agenda shirt. I'll do it with the next one. (wink wink HA)
