When I say sketch I do mean sketch. One character only, no revisions, payment up front. You can note or email me a ref and I'll have the sketch done today.

If you do want to turn it into a full commission just let me know and I'll do that by just adding on the rest of the cost for getting it inked or colored.

Just a little heads up that if you see a sketch you really like in my scraps, I’m happy to ink or color them for $25 off the usual commission price. If it’s a vague or loose sketch of nobody in particular, I’m happy to turn it into your OC or a favorite character. I’ve been doing this for my patrons for quite awhile and some of my more popular finished pieces started out as one of these late night doodles. :)

I’m all caught up on my to-do list and have $40 for the rest of the month (yay fixed income 8D) so I’m open for more commissions! I may see about doing some more YCHs too. There’s not much to do in March over here so I’d definitely enjoy some fun ideas to work on. :)

If you're not a Patron and would like to join, I post updates to what I'm working on and I'm planning to start posting my older art there (mostly because it's kind of impossible to upload hundreds of comic pages one by one here). I have an all ages, sfw Patreon and there's an 18+/nsfw one for the folks that like updates there. I post everything at the $1 tier, very loose sketches and inks of works in progress at $5, and at $10 (all ages) or $15 (nsfw) I'll draw a sketch a month for you (you just have to tell me of what haha). All members get access to my Discord sever, which is kind of quiet but I stream once in a blue moon there and drop very silly doodles and get inspiration from conversations with people there.

I try not to gatekeep anything via Patreon. It's meant to be a tip jar and a less crowded space where I can post ideas I'm mulling over and WIPs. I deeply appreciate everyone who's a member, your support means a lot; it eases some of the pressure from living below the poverty line but more importantly it's nice to be able to talk with folks in a less public space. :)

They're great to work with; I almost never commission anyone but they have far exceeded my rather high standards for professionalism and quality in working with other artists, and they're great with folks like me who aren't so good at defining what they want in a commission. I forgot to say in my YCH posts today that if you're interested in one, grab it! Not because they always sell out fast but because I have ADHD like whoa and I will get bored of a pose within about two days. Once that happens, the YCH gets taken down.

Just added to my profile that I sometimes do art collaborations. I like to ink stuff by other people sometimes and anyone is free to color my art. If you ever want just the lines to color from something I’ve posted, feel free to reach out. :) If you absolutely for sure want something inked by me and I’m too busy to collab, I will ink on commission for a discount since you or someone else did the sketch already.

I can do commissions for phone wallpapers! I’ve been making my own for awhile now and I have the hang of drawing with a focus that puts what you want to see between all the screen icons.

I’ve added some relevant flags to my profile. It’s nothing that’s news to anyone here I don’t think since every post of Razzrat has been labeled a certain way for a long time now. :D I’m hoping having the asexual flag on my profile might be useful info. I take pride in drawing/writing more salacious material well and making people happy with it, but I personally don’t want to do anything adult in nature that I’ve drawn/written about. I’m happy to try and answer some questions about this stuff just keep in mind I’m no expert, I’m just one dude (neutral) living their life. :D Now if you have questions about blindness, boy howdy do I know about that! :D

Lastly, I’m open for commissions almost always (including right now) and if you want one I appreciate a direct approach about it. :) I am terrible at small talk and completely unable to pick up on subtle or even obvious hints. After realizing I haven't updated my prices in over a decade and that I make, at best, $8 an hour, I'm raising my prices. This won't effect anyone who's waiting on art they've already paid for, but all future comms are going to be priced to respect 20 years of work by a blind artist (me). No worries about not being able to afford anything right now, I am not taking on anything new until I finish my current backlog. Thank you to everyone who commissions me, you guys are always giving me fun ideas I wouldn't have otherwise had and your support actively makes living in poverty a little better. :)

I'm keeping the sketching and inking prices the same as well as flat colors. But I am changing full color pricing from a flat fee to double whatever the inked commission costs. It's so much work and when I looked at what I was being paid for hours of work it was averaging out to almost nothing for how hard it is to do those full colors. Commissions on my list that have already been paid for and are being colored won't be charged anything extra, this is just the pricing moving forward.

So that new policy that's really an old one maybe. Even when they clarified it I'm still confused. Most cartoon animal characters are kinda neotenous by design and tons of them have no age
canonical age given. Is this one of those things where it's just going to depend on which mod sees your trouble ticket? It sure sounds like that's going to be the case.

There's definitely cases where it's clear an artist is drawing cub fetish stuff and I've always been fine with a site not wanting that. It's a tough thing to moderate and not every site is up for that. But whenever mods start getting vague or contradictory about what does/does not constitute cub art, I get concerned. I have no idea if some of my own work falls into that vague category or not; the Spyro characters are never given a canonical age and I remember learning years after the fact that the Freedom Planet cast (who all look the same style wise) are apparently different ages. If someone pays me to draw a character that is not obviously under age by design for a fandom I have no knowledge about but it turns out they're like 15 or whatever, what happens there? This stuff has always bothered me so much. In real life it's very easily legally defined, as it should be, and is dealing with cases of harm to real human beings. With cartoons and fiction it's 'a tremendous gray area that often makes no logical sense when treated similarly to reality.

Meh. I'm confused and frustrated by this situation. I certainly am not drawing cub stuff intentionally, but the new policy doesn't make allowances for creator style. Do I need to redesign Ember and Cynder to be less on model? Which of my adult characters just arbitrarily looks too young to a random moderator? I've seen at least one person concerned about posting imp Midna art now because the policy is that vague and her in game, on model proportions could be misread by some rando out there.

Well. I have no idea how this weirdness is going to shape out. I'll probably be opening up some galleries on other sites that are more clear with their rules just in case. Bleh.

I’ve been posting sketches pretty regularly to both Patreons at the $5 and $10/$15 levels. Some of them get finished and everyone sees the end results, but a lot are very loose ideas or me just practicing stuff and will not be posted outside those tiers (especially in the adults only one, I do a lot of silly or practice stuff that never goes beyond the sketch there). If you like seeing the progress of my work in real time or some off the wall ideas I never finish those are fun tiers to join if you can. :) And if anyone really likes a sketch or idea, I often come back to it when comments spark new ways of looking at it, or if someone pays to have an idea more fully realized. :)

I updated my Patreon tiers, added a $5 extra tip option and some sketch tiers. You can get a monthly sketch on the all ages patreon for $10 and on the adults one for $15. These will be mostly up to me in terms of how I draw them so I don’t burn out; patrons pick the character they want but I choose things like the pose and expression. If folks want something specific you’ll have to commission me formally.

tl,dr: How can I tempt you to join one/both of my Patreons?! :D It’s okay if I can’t tempt you, I love everyone who’s been here and I always will. :) Comments on my uploads feed the idea machine so if you like somethibg please say so!

I’ve had two Patreons for a long time and the little bit that comes in every month makes a huge difference to me. When you live down to the dollar evety month, every dollar counts.

I’m wondering if there’s a bit more I can offer for current and future patrons. I am always going to post finished work here, never fear! I don’t have the energy to do exclusives and paywalls, but also I don’t want people in my same situation to be denied art they love just for money.

Are there things besides cost that keep you from subscribing? Is there something you’d want that I’m not posting there?

As of now, I post finished art with its sketches and any progress pics I have, along with the full resolution piece. Would folks rather see sketches in progress by themselves?

Would posting old art with commentary be of interest to anyone? I’m not comfortable posting my older art publicly. A lot of it was drawn during difficult times in my life and getting comments/faves would bring up those memories at times when I might not be up for seeing them. Besides that, most of the old stuff just doesn’t represent how I draw anymore and I want people to see what I do now, not what I was doing 15 years ago. Also I have drawn literally thousands of pieces over the years, there’s no way I can post all that again one at a time. XD

I want to make sure casual viewers and fans who can’t afford a monthly pledge still get lots of art, but I also would like to do something for the folks who can pay. All while keeping in mind my own limitations (memory issues, low energy days, bad vision days) which limit how much extra stuff I can really do.

Would folks on the 18+ Patreon like me to put all art there? Would it be fair if I merged my Patreons and created a tier for adult art access? Should I just add more tiers even if I can’t offer anythibg extra in them?

I’m going to ask some of these to my current patrons as well and they’ll get the final word. Let me know what you guys think! Oh also I have a patrons-only Discord everyone who joins gets access to if chatting with a blind hermit appeals to you. :D

Thank you all for the wonderful and kind well wishes on my last post! Those were such a help with my nerves yesterday. :)

I've been out of the operating room for a few hours now and honestly I feel better than when I came in haha. Had a full meal with minimal stomach complaints (!!!) and I've been doing some walkies around my hospital room as directed by the surgeon. I have to hug a pillow to my stomach whenever I move but on the whole I haven't felt this good physically in a really long time. :) I'm hoping this means less delay on art than expected. :)

Welp! My gallbladder has totally failed at doing its job and is being let go. :D Saw the surgeon today and I’ll be seeing them again tomorrow morning. 8D I suspect I’m going to have trouble bending for a bit and since I csn’t see anything not mashed into my face that means art snd stuff will probably be on hold for a week or so, maybe longer if recovery is rough.
