I had such an amazing time there!!!
I know it's one of the smaller cons and that not many people were there, but holy crap was it ever successful! I mean, it's nowhere near the scale of Anthrocon or FE or FA:U or anything, but it was still such a blast! I met loads of awesome new people that I couldn't even list if I tried (though I have most of you on FA now!), had a lot of new experiences and it was just such a chill time!
I shared a room with
and 
for pretty much the entire con, since I spent most of the time hanging with them anyway! Such a pawesome group of people, can't wait to see you all again!!
Friday was so much fun, though I didn't end up going to any of the panels that I wanted to!! :P When you're suiting around so much, you just forget!! But I hung around with my friends all day and got to watch a screening of the furry Fanboy Confessionals episode! It's reeeally good, great representation of the fandom!! Friday night we went to rave for a little bit but there weren't many people there. Spent most of the time in other people's rooms drinking! Whee!
Saturday was when the real action started! We got up and all went for breakfast, which was super great. :3 The waiters were so niiiiice, especially one woman in particular who loved the whole idea. Then I went and got my suit on, and suited for pretty much the entire day! Got a badge commissioned by the ever amazing
KuteKittyKatt! Then of course there was the fursuit parade and the fursuit games!! Soo much fun! and I were on the same team, as well as 
and 
. We were Team Tits! Aaaand we were victoriouuuusss!! <3 Great job guys, we kicked ass! Then later that night came the rave! This time around it was a lot more fun. We all went out and got a whooole bunch of glow sticks and liquor, and I partial suited at the rave! There were a lot more people and we had a great night! Haha pretty much all that was left in our hotel room by the end of the con was dead glow sticks strewn about.
Sunday was way calmer. I got another badge from and just had fun suiting around as per usual! I got to judge the Iron Artist panel as well, which was really cool!! :3 Hehe the artists had to make a creative and original picture using macaroni, spaghetti, glue and glitter! Just like when we were kids! It was so cool to see what they came up with. And of course, following that was the charity auction. I can't even belieeeve how well the auction went! It was about 2 and a half hours long and we far exceeded the goal! It was so emotional to watch, especially towards the end. It's amazing how much such a small amount of people can accomplish when they really care about something! Aaand the PONIES SHOWED UP. Love them to bits and pieces. <3 Closing ceremonies was awesome too of course, but short, and then later was the dead dead dance. Which was just that, dead. XD But that's only cuz the charity auction was sooo long that most of everything else after that was cut off!
Aaand then of course, today we all headed back home in the morning! Me and my roomies left together on a train to Toronto and had a great time on the train too! All in all, the whole weekend was just a blast! I'm sure I missed some events but I figure I rambled on and on enough! XD

So some big plans have fallen through with Condition Red and I am now without a room. Does anyone have space for a lonely bunny who just wants to go to a con!?! I would be much obliged!!! If anyone has any space or has heard if any available space please let me know!!! I would hate to miss my chance!

One Year Ago Today
General | Posted 14 years agoI just had to make a journal commemorating this.
One year ago today, I embarked upon the greatest adventure and best decision of my life. One year ago today, I became a Disney Cast Member. One year ago on Wednesday, I attended Traditions training. One year ago on Thursday, I received a Social Security Number and began my park training as a Haunted Mansion Cast Member, and tried on that massive green dress for the first time.
I could describe everything that happened to me that summer in full detail, but that would take forever and you probably wouldn't want to read it. All I know is that a year ago today I was living in #30304 Anson Manor Court in Orlando, FL, 32821 (Chatham Square), taking the A bus from Disney Housing to work every day, my weekends were Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I got paid every Thursday (EPCOT - Every Paycheck Comes On Thursday), I was wandering the parks daily and dancing to parade music while I was working, and I got to see the fireworks from outside Mansion every night. People can say whatever they want about the company, and yes, I know the have their downfalls. I had to live with the bad judgment of the management there. But dammit if it's not the most magical place in the world to work. Even if you don't love Disney as much as other people, becoming a Cast Member there will definitely colour your opinion and you'll become a true blue Walt Disney fan.
I miss the heat, the noise, the rides, the soft creepy music of my home away from home, CDS, the ridethroughs, the pretzels, the $8 cheeseburgers, eating McD's at 3am, riding the A bus, eating taco bites with my roomies, hopping the bus to catch the 3 o'clock parade, the Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars, the Cast Party Bus, all of my friends and my roomies, my flip flop tan, pulling stretches, wasting money on useless but meaningful crap, and most of all... I miss working for the Big Cheese, Mickey Mouse himself.
Unfortunately, I had to leave on July 30th due to the fact that it was only a 3-month contract given that I'm Canadian, and this was a Summer Work Program. I wasn't able to go back this year but you can be damn sure I'll do anything in my power to go back next year. Hopefully for 6 months!
Disney, you gave me so many great experiences and memories that I'll never ever forget for the rest of my life. I can't wait to drive underneath that welcome arch and be back where I really belong... whenever that may be. <3 Thank you so much for everything you gave me, Walt Disney. You truly were a magnificent human being.
