No MFF 2025 for me.
Posted 2 weeks agoI will be unable to attend Midwest Furfest 2025 due to a number of factors, most of those being financial. 2026 should hopefully be better once my money situation stabilizes.
Right now, Further Confusion, Golden State Furcon, Anthrocon, and Midwest Furfest 2026 are in my plans.

Posted a month agoBy now, all the facts are there regarding a certain influencer/ speaker who was shot dead by not a Left leaning person, not a LGBTQ person, not a Democrat, but a person the very same persuasion as the influencer. Not that the Right hasn’t tried to ignore hard evidence and continue a scapegoating of their victims of choice as the narrative. But the facts are there, no matter how hard they try to ignore or bury it.
What shocks and saddens me is the fact that the current ‘leader’ of this country has ordered flags to fly at half staff for this person. He has also provided transport on a government aircraft and provided a Honor Guard to bring the influencers’ body to lie in state. This is the shocking part.
What saddens me is the amount of private businesses who have lowered their flags at half staff, not because they are obligated to, but because they fear retribution from that head of state if they do not follow his will.
And to be clear, this is for a man who at a very young age decided to approach college campuses and start clubs that embrace a very racist, misogynistic, homophobic, classist point of view that is contrary to the beliefs that made this country a shining beacon to those who seek a better life.
I feel no sorrow at the mans’ death, or how his life ended because his life was a hate filled cancer that promoted violence. So it’s ironic that a person of his own persuasion felt that the influencer was not extreme enough for his liking , that he decided to take his life.

IL DUCE sculpture: Notes
Posted 3 months agoThe IL DUCE sculpture was done as a statement piece. In case anyone didn’t figure it out, it was a commentary of the current President Trump and his entire reign. The statue would be something he would have done in tribute to his ego. And like all dictators, ( like Benito Mussolini, fascist dictator of Italy up to and during WW2. ) they came to a very bad end by the civilian population and rebels.
I cracked it, weathered it and sculpted little tomatoes to show the hatred toward that man. I selected anthropomorphizing him into a pig, because his entire attitude and actions is very much inline of the animal.
If anyone is offended by this, well, TOO BAD. His actions and encouragement of fascist ideology is destroying America, and I could not care one bit if your ‘Fuhrer’ is being disrespected.

Anthrocon 2025
Posted 3 months agoConvention is over. Headed back home. Going to take a couple of weeks off to attend to other things, go to SDCC for real vacation. Then back to work in August.
AC 2025 bound.
Posted 4 months agoWill be attending Anthrocon this year. If expenses increase going to this Con in the future, I may not be able to attend due to this crappy economy.
The sculptures I’ve recently posted will be in the Art Show for sale. Anyone interested in bidding for the pieces, I’ll make every effort to provide packing materials for the buyers to safely transport home.

GSFC 2025
Posted 7 months agoAttending Golden State Furcon 2025 in Los Angeles. I’ve got pieces in the artshow. So far, the con seems nice. The prices for the restaurant food is really high, so I’ll be dining a lot off site.
Sorry. Really sorry.
Posted 7 months agoTo all my non American watchers in Europe and other countries:
I am so sorry that the World was witness to one of the most humiliating acts of U.S. politics committed by Trump and J.D. Vance upon the President of Ukraine.
I have no words sufficient to describe my contempt for this current Administrations treatment to a foreign head of State.
All I have to say is that someday, Trump and his partners in crime will be removed from Office and truly prosecuted for their crimes. Until then, consider the U.S.A. as unreliable when it comes to doing Justice on the Worlds’ stage.

The horror is unfolding.
Posted 8 months agoAs I suspected, the Trump Administration has made specifically the Trans community a target of his bigotry, and everything else that is not hetero, white, christian, rich male. Several of my friends, as well as I are now in their sights for hatred. Don’t be too surprised when the furry community comes into that realm of ‘ Not like Them’ and is persecuted as a whole.
Just as I feared
Posted 9 months agoWithin hours of that bastard being sworn in, he’s already pardoned those jackbooted thugs storming the Capitol on January 6. He’s already stated that there are only two genders. He’s already used the phrase Manifest Destiny for Americas’ new course. As a Native American, that phrase has chilling implications because it’s usage has been used to justify taking away Indigenous lands, it’s been used to tear away children from their heritage, it’s been used to kill Indigenous people. And being Two-Spirit, the gendered man or woman are the only valid recognition is a insult to those who are not gender binary.
And it’s not even 24 hours yet into a 4 year long living Hell.

Golden State Furcon 2025, March ( Haven’t done a So. Cal furcon in the longest time, so hope it’ll be fun)
Anthrocon 2025, July.
San Diego Comic Con 2025 ( Vacation)
Midwest FurFest 2025, December.
Hopefully the country doesn’t go to shite when T-Rump takes charge and tries to make the U.S. into the Fifth Reich.

Posted 10 months agoOutward bound tomorrow for Midwest Furfest 2024. I’ll have sculptures for the artshow for sale.
It’s Bad.
Posted 11 months agoIt’s bad. Really bad. It’s the nightmare that I always feared for America. And now the extent of how bad will be revealed in the following years. How far it will affect furry fandom, I can only guess. For LGBTQ/POC/non religious furries, it’s obvious. All I can say is to do your best to survive.
And to those who feel it’s so bleak that harming oneself seems like the only option? Don’t. It’s what the Right wants you to do, to do their job for them. Do not go quietly into the Night. Resist.

AnthroCon 2024
Posted a year agoGetting down to ‘ Crunch Time’, where every artist attending Anthrocon is hurriedly getting their art ready for the con. I’m no different. Been spending way too much time awake getting my sculptures ready while balancing RL work and sleep ( 6 hours on average). Everything planned should be ready ( hopefully)
Anyone expecting to see my finished work will hopefully will be happy with the quality and quantity I’m presenting this year.

Loss of a old friend.
Posted a year agoAn old friend of mine passed away about 2 weeks ago from liver cancer. We knew each other back in the mid Eighties, when furry fandom was just beginning. In fact, he was one of the people who started the first furry convention. Before that, it was room parties at Sci-Fi and Comic book conventions. I did some art for him, which he appreciated very much. As time went by and the furry community grew, we saw less and less of each other. I was lucky enough to see him one last time at MFF in December 2023. We talked at bit, cleared some things up. I’m glad I was able to do that.
He’s gone now, but I will always remember him.

TFF Bound.
Posted a year agoLooks like I’ll be able to attend Texas Furry Fiesta this year. Hopefully it will be as fun as I remember it from 2019. ( The very last furry con before it and everything else got shut down by the Pandemic)
I should have a few pieces ready by then for sale.
I still have not received a reply from Golden State Furcon as to if I’m ‘eligible’ to participate in their artshow. I may have to cancel attending that one if I do not get a reply before I attend TFF in March.

Hate in Furry Fandom, Part 2.
Posted 2 years agoI learned from a friend that on her Birthday, she recieved a anti-trans comment from another FA member. I checked that persons page and find he is a no talent hack, and a Trumper. WTF is wrong with this idiot and others like him in furry fandom. He is relatively young, so I think he has not grown up in the fandom long enough to realize that Furries were looked down on, criticized, hated, made fun of, and even victimized. This fan apparently has no knowledge of what has gone on before him and the history of being the ‘freak’ that he is now calling another. This mentality of “I’m alright, Jack” in some furry fans sickens me. They have willingly ignored the right of existence of a another because ‘they’ are different and not like them and therefore not deserving the respect due to them.
MFF
Posted 2 years agoFinally arrived and now settling in. I need to photograph the sculptures tonight in my room because I shipped the bases off ahead of me to be picked up at the hotel before I finished the sculptures at home.
Should be a interesting night making a impromptu photo stage in the room.
Then everything goes to the artshow.

Hate in furry fandom
Posted 2 years agoI just dealt with a person on FA that was espousing antisemitism. She was proud of her beliefs and celebrated a certain leaders birthday that had ordered millions systematically murdered. What I do not understand is why a trans person would accept the denial of the facts that have been thoroughly documented not only by the authorities, but also documented by the very people who committed these crimes. These people would have certainly have her sent to her death for being trans. This denial of reality baffles me. Are people who think like her are so detached from reality that looking into the mirror and seeing that they themselves would be targets do not make that connection?
In the end, I blocked her and reported her to FA.

Quandries
Posted 2 years agoSo I’ve been pondering the subject of ‘Cultural Appropriation’. First off, I’m Native American ( Yaqui/Navajo/Apache, with a touch of the Spaniard and a hint of the Moor) and it has been brought to my attention that some artists have been criticized for doing this. The artists mostly are of European descent, and taken some heat from a couple of Native American artists for using cultural jewelry and/or other adornments from N.A. cultures. I, for one ( and a few other N.A. artists) do not have a issue of Native items being used by non-N.A. artists, just so long as it is used respectfully. And that is where I find is the dividing line on the subject of Cultural Appropriation. I do get very annoyed by runway models who use warbonnets and necklaces as costume jewelry ( which is really the fault of the fashion designers). I get infuriated when I walk into a Halloween store and see the ‘Native girl/Pocahauntas’ or ‘Indian Brave’ costumes on the racks. And I do not care for fans doing the ‘Tomahawk chop’ and wearing warpaint at sports games. Those are incredibly offensive to me. But when I see a anthropomorphic creature, particulary one that is indigenous to a region wearing such accoutrements, I see this as a respectful treatment of the culture. And I’ve also noticed that quite a few of the more vocal critics are non-N.A. Those ‘fans’ I believe have issues with this subject that have no real stake in the argument, other than just ganging up on the artists for their own enjoyment of giving grief to others. ( in other words, Trolls)
So, what does it come down to? Telling artists that they can’t do a culture because they themselves are not of that culture? That smells a bit of segregation to me.
I expect better of furry fandom because we ourselves have faced discrimination in one form or another. Homophobia, Transphobia, Racist comments and actions, Gender discrimination. We’ve dealt with attacks on furry fandom for the art we love. We’ve faced accusations of all types.
Some reading this journal entry may not agree with me, others may. That’s okay. It’s just that when people ‘gang up’ on artists who use such articles and mean no disrespect towards that culture, that’s when I see something very ugly rising in a fandom and then I feel I must speak out on it because I do have a stake into matter. These electronic ‘lynch mobs’ I’ve seen concern me for the fandom I love so much, and I do not want to see it turn into the equivalent of 1930’s Germany.

Dancing on Air
Posted 5 years agoI feel VERY optimistic today. I feel that by next year, things will be back to almost normal.
Commissions open.
Posted 5 years agoOpen for commissions again, if anyone has an idea for a sculpture, send me a message.
Commissions update
Posted 5 years agoWell, conventions are cancelled clear through to Jan 2021, so I obviously won't be displaying my sculptures in the artshows. If anyone is interested in commissions or the posted sculptures, let me know. 2020 really is sucking major.
Artwork Status
Posted 5 years agoBeen burning through my supply of armature rods and Super Sculpey like crazy during this Stay In Place order by the Governor. If it turns out that all of my planned conventions get cancelled or postponed, I’ll be disappointed that I can’t put my sculptures in the artshows, but at least I won’t feel that pressure to get the work finished up to the night before ( or morning of ) the convention.
At least I was able to restock up on the supplies for more art in case there’s ever a restriction to the supply line for non-essential items ever happens.
When the art is finished, I’ll post them here of course.
