Commissions Reopening January 21st
Posted 4 years agoHey folks! As I am coming up on the end of my current commission queue, I have selected a date for my next Commission Opening. I will be reopening on Friday, January 21st and the form will be open for 24 hrs. I will be posting another journal on the day with the links but I wanted to post the date in advance since several people have asked for a heads up before I open.

New Telegram Channel

I recently created a new Telegram Channel to share all of my newest artwork, announce Art Streams and to announce Commission Openings as well! It's still very new so there isn't much content there now but I will be updating very regularly as I continue my art career.

Posted 4 years agoCommissions are now open! As I am set to clear my current queue this weekend, I am opening commissions to begin to working on for the next two months. If I receive an overwhelming number of responses I will be selecting slots on Sunday. Please wait until Sunday evening for reply if you have gotten a slot.

You have probably noticed I've been pretty quiet here lately. This is because in addition to some life stuff going on, I have been primarly focusing on a large animation project that has been taking up a lot of my time.
Because of this I have been rethinking how I want to offer animations going forward. I have decided to no longer offer custom animations as part of my standard commissions. Instead I will only be offering them as YCH animations (both set price and auctions) and as a Custom Animation Auction every so often. This way I can set aside a month to just focus on working on an animation and be able to work on more artwork most of the year. I have noticed that these large animations cause me to burn out very fast so this is one of the primary reasons for this change.
Thank you for understanding. I am hoping to reopen standard commissions (without animations) again sometime in August.

Group Dinosaur TF Commission Sign Ups Closed/Full

It's been a little while since I've done a large group TF but I have been cooking up a new one that is now open for sign ups!
A group Dinosaur (and possibly Pterosaur) TF! All characters will be cel shaded and take place in a Museum in the Dinosaur hall. Each slot is $65 to claim. Species of dinosaurs are limited to 1 each for this piece so there won't be any duplicate dinosaurs.

Commission Updates, Opening Again Feb 1st

I have a couple announcements today. First and foremost, I have made the decision to change up how my Patreon works. I have decided to remove the monthly art reward Tiers. I was feeling as if I was only able to take on one or two additional commissions a month when having a monthly Patreon queue as well. I feel that this way is more fair to everyone and I can take on a wider range of commissions each month or two.
In its place I have added a new Tier that offers a discount on commissions as well as HiRes versions of my art, WIPs, Unreleased sketches and access to my Patreon Telegram chat where I occassionally offer free sketches. While my Patreon is paused right now, for the month of January, if you are interested in checking out the changes you can see them here - https://www.patreon.com/Recurrent I am planning on posting more about this in Febuary when the Patreon is offically active again.
New Year, New Prices. With the new years I have been reviewing my prices and making some changes to them. While yes, some prices will be going up a little bit, some are actually going down a little bit. I have the new, 2021 pricesheet updated on my website. You can always check out my website here https://www.recurrentart.com/ I have not yet posted the new Price Sheet to my Galleries, but I plan to post it a little closer to February when I am ready to reopen commissions.
Up next, I am planning on open commissions again soon! I have February 1st marked on my calender to reopen commissions then. I am planning to spend the rest of this month to finish up what is currently in my queue and take a short break before reopening in February. I hope to work with many of you again soon!

I just wanted to make a quick update post about my current commission status. I have decided that I am going to be remaining closed for commissions to the public (Patreon Members can still commission me at this time) until I completely clear my current queue including gift art and the rest of my Werewolf Sequence. I feel like some people have been waiting longer than I would like for their art from me so I want to make sure I have enough time to finish everything I have taken on before I take on any more projects.
Thank you for understanding. I hope to be able to open again soon after I finish everything currently on my queue.

Posted 5 years agoJust closing up Commissions since I now have more than enough work for the rest of the month to work on.
For October I am currently not planning on opening commissions. Instead I will be focusing on my own Werewolf Comic and opening a handful of werewolf themed YCHs for my favorite month if the year. Pretty much expect a month full of werewolf goodness from me next month ^^

Small Announcement
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone! Just a small announcement to make today. After some consideration I have decided with the help of NekoGato that going forward all Animation commissions will be a collaborative effort between the two of us. As usual for our collaborations I will be doing all of the line work, shading and backgrounds and NekoGato will be doing all of the color.
I made this decision since animations can take quite a bit of time. With NekoGato's help I will be able to produce more artwork and be able to open for commissions more often.
This will not affect the price of animations at all either. Hopefully between the two of us we will be able to make more and more animations.

For Pride month I will be donating half the cost of each commission to The Trevor Project for each Pride Themed Commission at the end of the month. You can also opt-in for regular commissions by adding a note about Pride in the additional notes section.

Posted 5 years agoHey there everyone. I just wanted to give a bit of an update for all of my current commissioners. I am finally starting to feel a bit better and able to find some time in my schedule again. I am inspired and able to work on art again! I am so excited about this. I may be working on some things out of order in my queue (which I usually don't do too much) to help myself to get back into things and prevent any further art block.
Meanwhile I have made the decision to close commissions until I can catch up fully. I am still planning on pausing my Patreon for the month of May so I can have more time to catch up on anything. As always if you have any questions or concerns, please just me a DM and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Here's a little update for everyone. Due to the current situation right now I have been working longer hours and often weekends which I usually have off at my regular job. As a result commissions will be coming out a bit slower.
I just learned from my boss that while I will have this weekend off, I for sure will not have the next weekend and be working even longer hours next week. I will be trying to get a couple things done this weekend while I can, but I also really need to rest as well given that I am currently exhausted.
My current plan is to keep commissions open with a disclaimer that my turn around times are going to be slower right now. I am also planning on Pausing my Patreon for next month (May) to hopefully give myself some extra time to catch up on everything on my queue.
For my current commissioners if this is not okay with you, please send me a note, I can offer partial refunds on commissions I have already started (or full refunds if it only in the sketch phase and I am permitted to sell the sketch as a YCH at a future date) or full refunds on ones that I have not started on yet. If you have any other concerns I am always available on Telegram (@Recurrent) to answer any questions as soon as I can.
