Posted 12 years agoI've put a little art together for the first time in a while, specifically for the this contest, I always try, its always an exercise in futility. However, if you don't try, then you will fail every time. So with the same mentality I had when buying Powerball tickets, I've made 6 entries into this contest. Please, please, please, PLEASE! rate my designs a FIVE if you so choose. welovefine.com has many, many tee shirts all designed by fans for fans... god I'm a bloody infomercial, but hey, it's pretty cool, I get all my MLP tees through them, and there is plenty of great themes, I'd be sure anyone on here would find something they'd like! Posted 12 years agoOye... the long awaited requests for various pony arts is completed. Please, for the time being, don't ask for anything else, I'm pretty burnt out on art, and it turned into a JOB more than anything. :/ I have many other endeavors for which I would like to put some efforts into, and should they be art related, they'll be posted up here. And when ready again I'll take a request or 2. It definitely won't be the crazy huge amount I took on before, so jump on the openings when the come! (it'll be a while for sure though...)
Just so you know I think the next pony art related stuff I post up will be a comic of some sort, I've had a story in my head bouncing around that I'd really like to tell. (assuming it hasn't already been told in one form or another) But it'll be a nice story, episodic in nature, and perhaps I'll put it out to a wider audience see if others agree. (ie up on Deviantart at the very least) But still, for now, no art for a bit, time to just relax in the winter doldrums.

Risky surgery!

Good news: Won my yearly Risk tournament, yay! Seriously I've been my mind crazy happy over this, I thought I had very little chance of winning, these guy are really friggn good... and honestly I freely admit I had a LOT of things go my way in all the games I played and really could of and probably should have lost all my games!!!! But I got my chance, and did my best with it, thats all anyone hope for!!!!
Surgery: My wife is undergoing gastric bypass surgery... a little scary, but routine. She's just got done, with no issues. I'm out waiting with my motherinlaw to see her... ;) I'll be waiting on my wife hand and foot for a while as she gets better at home over the next week or so, she'llbe grumpy and miserable for sure, but hopefully its all worth it in the end!!!!!

Slow-slow-slow
Posted 13 years agoI do wanna apologize to everyone who has asked for pony art from me... I've had some changes at work that has screwed with my free time, but even before that I've been working very slowly, and picking up even more art to work on, plus this stack of requests.... I know I've bitten off more than I can chew, but I will persevere and get to everything. I've been working on a couple ways to to speed up my work, including working on multiple projects at once. (I've already partially worked on Candy's request for Pinkie Pie at a pool party.) So hopefully I can crank out art a bit faster and get these main 11 requests completed before season 3 starts... XD

Posted 13 years agoOk kids once again I will open up request for totally FREE pony art requests. Get'um while they're hot, cuz the next session of commissions will cost a bit of cash, only a couple bits to be sure though! ;)
Restrictions:
Characters - Anypony from the MLP: FiM from Apple Bloom to Zecora - Mane 6, minor ponies, background, non-pony characters, anything goes!
Fursona to pony - just need a bit of input from you: pony type, cutie mark ideas, colors, etc.
All ponies will be PONIES. (or particular species in the series... at some point I may think about drawing anthro, but I'll fiddle with it on my own first before trying it for someone)
Rule 34 - absolutely NO.
Characters per image - let's set the limit at 3 (all characters, ponies & non-ponies)
Background - lemme know what you want, I have created a few scapes from the series and you can ask those to be recycled, or no background, or something custom created -- within reason.
Clothing - can be added and designed with your input.
Other - In general... each pony takes a day or 2 to draw, depending on the amount of free time I have. Backgrounds take longer depending on complexity. And other little additions will undoubtedly add time... that being said, depending on overall difficulty of the image you request it could take anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks to draw. Posted 13 years agoI guess I kinda expected that from the www.welovefine.com MLP design a tee shirt contest. Ah well, I am kinda annoyed that the same person won like 3 prizes, including the first prize of $2500... I'm not bitter though, I gave it a good shot, and got a lot of help from everyone, and I thank you all who rated my designs! Some great looking designs did win and are very cool!

Posted 13 years agoI do wanna apologize for being slow on finishing up these last 2 requests for pony art, I am working on them one at a time and slowly but surely am getting there. I dun wanna say I'm growing tired of it, I'm not I love the MLP stuff... in fact I probably love it too much that I'm just finding other stuff within the Brony community to occupy my time. I've done..... stuff to which there will be photos posted eventually. ;) And I can't help but have a story bouncing around my head I wanna write at some point, IDK if'll end up being a comic or a true fanfic, but I'll figure that out later, few more ponies to draw in the next week or so!!!

I really thank everyone for taking an interest in my art... I really apprishiate it! I never really thought I'd generate too much interest, afterall this is just a hobby of mine, and I greatly enjoy it. :D

Posted 13 years agoI don't have a lot of request as yet, but I just want to establish who is getting stuffs, and in general what they are getting. I think I'll set an upper limit of 5 requests at a time, as I figure to turn over stuff in a couple weeks, at worst.

Posted 13 years agoIn honor of today's fantastic episode, which I will not spoil for anypony who has yet to see it... why haven't you seen it anyways?! GO WATCH, NOW. You'll laugh, you'll cry you may get something dropped on your head... LOLZ
In recent months I've found a artistic scratch that I've been itching... as it goes with my love of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I draw digital pony art. I do keep it clean, although someponies ( )think the inevitable artist around these parts will slide down the dark path of pron, I will not. It ain't my thing, you guys are welcome to draw, and oogle whatever you wish, its your right, your thing, I respect it, but won't do it myself.
Please ask me to draw a pony of your wishing. Ain't many peoples watching me, so I know I won't get overwhelmed with requests.... I think. I do for free, this is fun for me. I reserve the right to change my mind though... Everypony deserves to make a couple of bits now and again, its the American way. :D
I have one project on my mind that I'll likely get together and have out this week, but after that its whatevers. So honestly if anypony wants me to draw them something note me, or leave a reply here.
If I really do get overwhelmed... I'll cut it off at some point and open and close it like I see done by real professional type artists with commission slots.

Do you feel obligated to then oblige them? I know I'm no artist in the traditional sense, but.... I showed a friend of mine the Sweetie Fry I drew for Mara and then some MLP stuff. (trying to suck her in too... lol) She absolutely loved the way Fluttershy was drawn, (damn you Futtershy, you're too frakk'n CUTE!) and while I have no problem drawing something like that for her, I'm just wondering if you real artist deal with this a lot?

Character building
Posted 14 years agoI've thought about it muchly, and I thought it'd be a good time to finally flesh out my fursona. While I'm kinda on the fringe here, I'm not one to likely get a fur suit, just isn't my thing. However, character building and story telling, right up my alley. And it's been far too long since I've done either.
Soooooo....
Species: Giraffe (I'm tall, sue me. :P )
Giraffes are most closely related to cows/goats/camels although they generally resemble a horse with a really long neck. with leopard type markings. Giraffe's have 2 toed hooves their front 2 legs are slightly longer than the back. Have stout horns on top of their heads
That being noted, My fursona will be generally anamorphic with tenancies towards a true giraffe.
Obviously tall, 9'9" tall(3 meters) long arms with the classic 2 toed hoof, same for the legs. Will generally walk upright though, unless running at full speed. Which is pretty fast, but he can't maintain that speed very long, he's not amazingly athletic, and just looks goofy playing sports, but that doesn't dampen his competitive spirit. He's got the leopard type pattern classic to giraffe, but its a very light yellow in between the reddish brown darker spots. His horns make up the last 8 inches or so of his height. Brownish hair on top of the horns that slightly curve towards each other. With hooves on this "hands" he'll use his mouth for anything that requires dexterity.
Personality: Somewhat meek and happy-go-lucky. Can be shy and non-talkative, but get to know him a bit and he opens up pretty well. Is somewhat athletic, but awkward when playing, which kinda makes him look derpy, but it's all good, he's got a strong competitive spirit. Being as big as he is he can be very helpful to others as well as protective... maybe a tad overprotective towards friend and family. It's the height thing... sorta being that tall he'll think he sees it all and understands more than he thinks. He means well though ;)
Oh.... damn I'm thinking I should come up with a name.... hmmmmmm
