Posted 15 years agoMy room at FC has a spot that's opened up, and we're really hoping to fill it. It's in the Fairmont (main hotel) for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights (leaving Tuesday).

Posted 15 years agoWhen swine flu came around, a couple people got sick and died AND EVERYBODY FUCKING PANICKED OH MY GOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE OF SWINE FLU even though it was just a very mild version of the flu.
That's what this notes leak bullshit is. A couple people got their accounts hacked and their notes leaked and now OH MY GOD WE HAVE TO LEAVE FA OR DELETE OUR NOTES BECAUSE THEY'RE GONNA BE LEAKED.

Artists that only draw gay or straight pics
Posted 15 years agoEver see artists whose art you absolutely LOVE, but are frustrated with that they only draw straight art? Or gay art?
This of course is only really applying to porn artists. But what artists do you watch (or want to watch) but never really enjoy their art just because they never draw gay/straight?
I thought of this because of
scappo just uploading a bunch of new work, and I absolutely love scappo's art. Incredibly talented, beautiful art, but I've never seen him draw anything gay, and I have no desire to look at drippy vaginas.
I can't blame the artist. It's up to them what they draw, and I can't blame a straight artist for not wanting to draw gay sex, or vise versa. It's just iritating that such an amazing artist whose art I WANT to enjoy only draws things that I don't.

This one's super hard... here goes!
1. I'm pretty happy with every aspect of my life except my weight. I'm not even obese, just overweight, but it bothers the hell out of me, and makes me extremely self-conscious.
2. I was absolutely terrified of lightning until a bolt almost struck my house. Experiencing it close up removed my fear of it
3. I didn't realize I was gay until last year. I didn't want to be gay, and I still wish I wasn't, though I've come to accept it.
4. I have an incredible need to make the people around me like me. When I do something that hurts, offends, upsets or iritates someone - even a complete stranger, I have an insatiable feeling of guilt until I can make it right. The only exception is when it's someone that I really, really dislike
5. My initials are BJP - my mom picked the first and middle names because she wanted to call me "BJ". Even as a small child I absolutely refused to be called that. My mom didn't know what BJ meant until I told her sometime in my 20's.
6. I hate standing out in a crowd or drawing attention to myself (except in fursuit), and I have no desire to be someone of incredible importance.
7. The only animal I'm really scared of are bees
8. I'm not afraid of heights: I'm just afraid of falling. IE, I have no problem standing near the edge of a cliff, but I would never go sky diving, base jumping, or do things like jumping off of cliffs into water.
9. Three years ago, I was a "straight" (and very lonely), conservative christian, nervously meeting furries for the first time. It was my first time having secular friends, and they made me happier, and feel more welcome, than anything else in my life ever has.

Submission icons, what do you think of them?
Posted 15 years agoI'm talking about when an artist submits a picture, and uploads a custom icon for said picture, instead of using just the default icon (zoomed out version of the picture). Usually they are a zoomed-in portion of the picture, often the face of one of the characters. They usually cut out the naughty bits of the picture, sometimes just because that's how it works out, sometimes because they don't want porn in the icon? And SOMETIMES they contain small, quick text describing what's in the picture.
What do you think of 'em?
Personally, they kind of annoy me. Not like, I'm unhappy with artists for using them - I just would just generally prefer to see a thumbnail depiction of the actual image I'm about to look at. I feel a little less inclined to look at the full version of an image when all I have to go by is a thumbnail that doesn't really tell me anything about what I'm about to see.

I received an email today, very well disguised and very clever, from "Paypal" notifying me that my account was screened and an issue was discovered, and that until I log in and resolve the issue I would have limited account access.
I used Paypal several times recently in ways that I know Paypal sometimes has issues with (buying furry commissions), so my immediate first reaction was "Oh shit". But being internet-savvy and always careful, I naturally inspected the URL of the link before clicking it. and it was on the site http://www.paypal.com.1wwzy69vpl8cy.....5ev3o6xhd2.com <-- Not intended to be a link, so don't click it
It's a clever URL disguise that not everyone will catch, as people may only be looking for the www.paypal.com at the beginning even if they do look. The page looks convincing, as well, and all the links on it actually go to real URL's. And the site is not yet registered on the scam list, which would make some browsers like Firefox automatically block it.
But of course, if you actually try to login, you just gave someone access to your bank account.
Just getting the word out to people, if you get this email, don't believe it, and ALWAYS CHECK THE LINKS.

Trans-genders
Posted 15 years agoOK, so there's so much stuff going around about LGBT lately, with the wonderful "It gets better" project going on, and the recent suicides by gay teens.
Considering that I'm gay, I'm obviously LGBT-friendly.
....or more specifically, I'm LGB friendly. Trans-genders just make me...uncomfortable. I can't wrap my brain around it. I can understand more effeminate males, and while they're not usually the kind of person I enjoy being around, it doesn't bother me. But cross-dressing, males "pretending" to be females, just irks me so much. I'm not entirely sure why. It just feels completely false and ingenuine.
Post-op transgenders, however, I do understand why they irritate the hell out of me. A man who's had an operation to become female is no more female than any other man - they're just a man with a horrifying flesh wound. Cutting off your penis and having a mutilated hole put in its place does not make you a woman. That any person would choose to mutilate their bodies to become something they are not, nor ever can be, just disgusts me
Does this make me intolerant? Does it make me a hypocrite?

Silly email scam spam.
But srsly, I can see this being a pretty effective scam. It was cleverly disguised as an automatic email notification of changes to your WoW account with a link to follow if you did not authorize the changes. I know how defensive WoW players tend to be about their accounts, and I can see them going into a panic and not thinking clearly enough to see that the domain they just entered is not owned by Blizzard.
So if you play WoW, be alert.
