So I am now officially a South Carolinian. Not bad! I will say, though, that all has not been smooth...my work is going slow and I'm not getting very many hours...there are a lot of things I wish I could be doing, but due to money issues, my hands are tied.

Some good news is that I'm taking steps towards the future by hunting for a new job that will hold me until I can go back to college to get a new degree...(you'd think three would be enough, but alas, in this world, having two photography degrees and an A.A. nets you about $18,000 a year...even with five years experience. Sigh.) I'll be going back to college for Physical Therapy in a year, give or take.

I've also started up a website with some of my photography work: http://tpvphotography.com , where I can accept orders for prints or digital files. Haven't figured out any pricing just yet, but we'll see what sort of demand I'm getting. Also, if you happen to be anywhere near Columbia, SC or the surrounding area, I will HAPPILY do a costumed photo shoot for you! Feel free to PM me with my prices, and what all is involved. It can be an outdoor shoot or an indoor shoot, your choice. I've got setups for both situations. Either drop me a PM here, or send me a message through the "contact me" page on my site.

How many bosses would take professional photos of an employee in a fursuit? That said...prepare your inboxes! I shall be uploading quite a few of the pictures and collages made...including an AWESOME movie-poster I put together...*grins*

Well now. On my way home today, I got to thinking. I really need a new fursuit. But I don't really have the money right now to do so! So what can I do? Why, work at fixing up the old one, of course!

So I sat down with needle and thread, and began repairing all the holes I could find. I'm not used to sewing, but I think it looks pretty good, for my level of experience.

The other problem with the 'suit is that it makes me look significantly heavier than I actually am....so I've taken out the foam padding in the front that added some "definition" to the 'suit's front...and there's the possibility that a family friend of ours could help me trim it up a bit to fit me much better. Hey, I HAVE lost 50 pounds after all!

Hopefully these things will hold me over until I can get a new bodysuit.

Hey guys. I know I don't post on here much, but I know a lot of you from Furbowl. Got some news for y'all.

I'm sad to say, but I'm moving back down to Florida for a while. My finances are shot, and there's no way they'll be in the black again unless I spend at least a year living rent-free with my parents.

I love you guys a lot, and don't want to go (though I'll still be able to be contacted!)....sadly no choice. So...in about four weeks, I'll be moving out. If you have any boxes you'd like to donate to this effort, (or free time for packing!) Please let me know at Furbowl next Saturday. It'll be my last one until I get back up here, so I want it to be memorable and fun.

Those who do so, pray for me during this move. Those who don't, keep me in your thoughts.

All you crazy furries have really helped me solidify my self-identity, and for that, I thank you all.

Heh, been a while since I updated my journal.

Things are going a lot more smoothly now. Pay at my job is better, I got a much more gas efficient car, and my bank account is starting to actually move into the black!

Still some craziness, but that's life.

Hey, guys....today sucked.

I had to work in 107 degree weather.
My last appointment (I'm a photographer) was a screaming 2 year old.
On the drive home, I was in a car accident that may have totaled my van.
When trying to buy something to eat, I found that my credit card is maxed.
I may have to work tomorrow.

Just a few more days! We're driving over on the 22nd, and staying 'till Sunday...

So yeah, I went to AnthroCon last weekend...it was crazy fun, and you can see some of the pictures from it to the left.

Also, I've posted the first Red Dragon Review, wherein I'll be reviewing movies, new and old...that have to do with furries in some way shape or form.

So yeah, last night, my mate and I went to Hershey Park in the Dark...and it was crazy fun!

Best part is? They let us in in our fursuits! (pictures pending, my furry friends!) They did have the condition, however, that we were not to wear our fursuit heads as we walked....liability reasons of course. It WAS kinda slippery!

The best part was that they let us wear the heads on the various rides. We actually had fangirls as we rode the carousel...they cheered every time we came into view.

I'll tell you something. If you like roller coasters in the daytime when you can see what's coming....Try wearing a fursuit head on a coaster at night. You can't see a thing that's coming, and that adds a whole new level of thrill to the ride!

In general, we had a blast, rode rides in costume, and got a ton of picture requests from random people just walking around.

Here's the funny thing that cracked us up the most. We were headed out of the park after getting in one last ride...we were about the only people left in the park....and what song should start playing? Werewolves of London, baby! We were laughing, singing, and howling along with the song....having an absolute blast!

All in all, I can't wait for next year. Hopefully I'll be able to get off work sooner than I did this time, so that we'll be able to ride all of the 'coasters. If you didn't get to go this year, GO NEXT YEAR! And definitely bring your fursuits!

Well, folks, it's happened. I am now a New Jersey fur! I've been here coming up on a week now, and quite frankly, I rather like it here! It's very pretty, and hey, I'm only a few minutes away from my mate! Huzzah!

I'm already starting to get to know the Jersey/Delaware furries pretty well. Quite a friendly group, and the largest group of furries that I've ever been able to hang out with at any given time! ~(^.=.^)~

Anywho...here I be, and I'm quite happy.

'Ello furry friends! Val here.

Well, it is drawing close to a time of change for me. In less than two weeks, I shall no longer work at the Florida Aquarium. In less than four weeks, I shall no longer live in the state of Florida.

My friends...Valerius is on the move.

I'll be moving up to southern New Jersey, (literally, I drive across a bridge and I'm in Delaware.) so that I may be MUCH closer to my fiance'. (She's in Delaware. No we did not meet online, no she didn't move up there to get away from me 'cause I'm creepy...We're high school sweethearts.)

Wish me luck on this most epic of moves for me. (A Florida boy in Jersey? Ye gads, I must be mad. I don't know the first thing about REAL winter!!)

In any case, one of the upsides of this move (aside from actually being within driving distance of the one I love,) is that I will most likely get to attend AnthroCon. If all goes REALLY well, I'll be debuting a friggin' awesome fursuit there. If things don't go REALLY well...*shrugs* We'll see what happens.

All right, I confess. I have been lurking on Furaffinity for nearly a year now...and I finally decided to come forth, and post something!

Granted, I'm not an artist in the "drawing, sculpting, or sewing" class...but I am a photographer! That counts for something, at least. Most of my postings are going to be fursuit related, because I rather enjoy running around dressed up as my character. Really, it's fun!

My mate makes these costumes, and is VERY good at them. (Granted, I don't have a fursuit at the moment, just due to strange circumstances on both of my previous suits. Honest, I'll take VERY good care of Version 3.0!!)

One thing I hope to do when I have my next fursuit, is to start up a channel on YouTube, of Valerius reviewing movies, games, heck, even restaurants and the like! Think "Angry Video Game Nerd" or "Nostalgia Critic"...without the swearing, and with a big ol' dragon instead of a guy with glasses.

(Any opinions would be great on the above idea! Anyone else think it's about time for there to be a furry reviewer?)
