Hey, so I signed up to volunteer. Email came 2 days after it was sent. Anyone in the Olympia area wanna go hang at a rally?

Rally crossed the Impreza back at the end of June. I have enough money at the moment for a cheap, dedicated car to run, instead of beating on the Impreza more. Did more body damage to the Impreza after that, but it was so much fun! Only way to improve is keep trying. I just cant kill my daily.

However, the daily needs some love too. I only have enough money currently for one or the other. Ideal is both could be driven to work, but the dedicated car could break, and have all the time to fix it.

So, not sure how many of you know that my grandma has dementia. Its full blown. My grandpa, is kinda screwy as well, alot of distrust in what my mom and I do. Mostly non involved parties. He thinks the neighbor that stole land (really did) is putting a four lane highway on a 200 yard section of driveway.

Grandma though? Oh shit. Shes thrown shit at his face. Shes tried to escape naked at 1:00 am with only a 20 year old cabbage patch doll and a garage door opener. Tonight, she got potato salad and bbq sauce all over her hands. She tried to rub it in like lotion. She then started to meltdown when i said its not lotion. Screaming yelling etc, 3 hours of just waiting out dementia to reset.

Ive even had moments where she targets me. I bought christmas lights, set them up while she was napping. She came out, said they looked shitty and told me how much i sucked as a caregiver.

Fuck this disease. This shit is near daily. We're on the path to outside caretakers, slowly.

Hey, hi. Been a while. Where have I been? Work, occasional friend visits. Otherwise? Booze. And not like, 70 shots of vodka a day, but enough. I drink alot of beer. Alot. Lately, its been fucking with me. I've lost out on amazing adventures, because I spend my money on beer, instead of said adventure. My brain is not as sharp, life feels fuzzzy. I am more irritable than I used to be. In the end though, I'm just a beer drinker, not an alcoholic right? I make it to work, I perform my tasks properly 89% of the time, im just an attention seeking pussy. I have no one or anything to truly hold mybself accountable for, so here I am!

Managed to sway a coworkers negative opinion on lgbtq peeps, work is good, but still low pay ($500 2 weeks, on a good pay period)

Got another random person from high school posting the same anti trans shit that my coworker was. Out of the blue. Weve been friends since 05, (rocky start to friendship 1st, he pulled a knife one me.) So agin, im trying to deflect this same dumbass opinion.

On a lighter note, doing the Gambler 500 navigation rally. Its for unique cars or shitboxes. I have a 2000 Chevy Tracker shitbox im using. Volunteering for Oregon Trail Rally, which is now an Amerivan Rally Association event, not Rally America (along with Olympus Rally)

Hi everyone. Sorry for not saying much.

The Impreza still is not fixed. I decided to wait a bit longer so I can get some money together. That way if the warranty company denies my claim for some reason, the car won't sit in pieces until I have the money to pay the shop to finish it. So I've been driving the F150.

Speaking of the Ford, I now know that it can actually get 16.5 mpg on the freeway. I picked up a Scangauge 2, and I've been using it for the truck. Eventually it will go in the Impreza. The scangauge is pretty sweet. Plugs into the OBD2 port, and you get real time info from the ecu. Things like water temp, rpms, mpg both average and real time, air intake temp, even things like gallons per hour. Also it has an adjustable color background light.

I've decide that I'm going to grow a garden this year. After going out to a buddies place, and eating stuff ten feet from where it was grown is nice. I'm going to attempt to grow things my family uses the most, and also a habenaro pepper plant.

Been trying alot of new beers lately too.If you find Deschutes brewing's Not the Stoic, give it a try. Its a molasses and pomegranate ale, 15% aged in oak wine barrels, and another percentage that I don't remember, in oak rye whiskey barrels. The initial flavor and such is heavy whiskey flavor. If you like citrus IPAs, try Ninkasi Hop Cooler. It is very citrusy .

Still working at the inventory company. I've learned to ignore most of the crap they say whenever they talk shit about others. They get pissed when I take days off when grandmas Alzheimer's gets bad , or my grandparents need me around. They hired me anyway even after I told them that, and included it in my application.

Anyway that's what's been going on. Hope everyone reading this is well.

Got word from the shop. $980 to pull and teardown the engine, so the warranty claims inspector can approve the claim. Heads go off to a shop to get magnafluxed and machined. The steering rack and other repairs are NOT covered. $1500 for the power steering. At this rate, I could have got an 03 STI in great shape.

So, took the Impreza to the local Subaru dealer (Dick Hannah0 for service, got the security system reprogrammed so I have a keyfob. Oil change and inspection as well. Turns out, that I have a headgasket going, and the steering rack needs replaced to the tune of $5,000 total. Waiting on them to call tomorrow to see what happens between them and the 3rd party warranty we bought. Worried about the steering rack not being covered at $1,500. I thought maybe something minor was leaking, as the fluid did go low, and I smelled it burning on the exhaust. Also needs rear brakes, clutch line, and a front suspension bushing, which are minor for a car with that milleage.

Then tonight, my phone decides to totally brick itself out of nowhere. Went for a piss, came back and everythings black, wont respond to buttons being pushed or the charger plugged in. It was at 67% battery 2 minutes before.

Prior to aaaaalll of this though, on christmas eve, the headgaskets got cooked on the Legacy. I went for a short drive, and things were fine. Last time I had driven it, it was fine. The temp pegged out before I noticed. I noticed when the car started running a bit rough.

I am now officially a Subaru Ambassador!

Found some new (to me) music while listening to Devo stuff on youtube last night. Fartbarf.

I've heard of him, but never really listened to his music until last night. Pretty good shit.

I don't know, maybe its specific to Portland's auto show, but I was not excited by the auto show here. I will start this off by saying I AM a bit jaded, as exotics are semi common (not so much lately in the past 2 years) seeing Bentleys, Ferarris, even a Saleen S7, and shit like an R35 GTR being treated like a $4,000 Maxima (dude smoked in it and such) and a DD Maserati Gran Tuismo in the snow.


Even with all this, at the PDX show, I only wanted to see the Veyron. I was surprised nicely, by the 458 speciale, F12 Berlinetta, a couple Aston Martin Vantage S, and a Mclaren MP4-12C. Along with some Rolls Royces, and the Lamborghini Huracan. The meat of the show however (every day companies) was lackluster. hell, even Lincoln, literally hid the MKT behind a wall.


Nothing was exciting this year. Maybe it was the lack of effort on the companies part, or im just jaded.

That can design and cut vynl decals? I would like to take the rally pig from the old Subaru WRC cars, and make a goat in the same style, so I can put them on the mirrors of my car. If you are reading this, and can do it, how much would you charge?

If I were to get fursuits of these characters, EJ is me, BC is for my close friends to wear. BC is the Rothmans livery colors. It is on many racecars of that era, but BC makes it more personal (chassis code of the 1st gen Legacy) Many friends, are welcome to suit in BC (that is if it happens) EJ is unique, and colorful,the livery of Subaru during a few rallys (specifically https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rYpgTrDpp4 ) Same driver, Same car, different colors. That said, I want EJ to become himself, and BC to form on his own.




Or maybe I just want an excuse to stuff someone into a suit, and go have fun.
