What do girls want? Seriously!
Posted 18 years agoOver the years, my art has been influenced by several furriends and fans' suggestions as well as created as gifts featuring their fursonas/characters getting together with my own Camp RedstaR originals! While there's a clear majority of males who have had their avatars featured in my art, I also very much appreciate and enjoy doing art for my female friends such as Dustbunny, Passion Cat, and RodentFanatic, to name a few! Their feedback, suggestions and encouragement has helped to improve my art as well as help me make some of the most fun, cute and sexy artworks that I've ever produced! So, I would like to do art for my female supporters out there in FA as well! Truly, ladies...if you'd like for me to try to draw an image for you, just let me know and I'll see what I can come up with if I have the time, inspiration and energy. Same goes for stories...what kind of tales would you like to read? Your feedback may help create an artwork/story enjoyed right here! I know, I know...there's no girls on the internet...I've heard that one before ;) Well, I'm willing to bet that there ARE a few, real girls out there...so if you're out there, here's your chance! Let me know what you'd like to see or read and if I can, I'll give it a try...

Requests, Commissions, and Getting Noticed by a Camp RedstaR
Posted 18 years agoRecently I was asked about requests, including those made just prior to Playmouse’s hopefully temporary closure. I thought that now would be a good time to address the whole matter as best as I could:
Until further notice, I will NOT be accepting money for art/stories...no commissions. My mission with CHipMunK was never about making money, but about bringing smiles to nice people out there! My personalized art and stories featuring other folks’ characters are GIFTS for being supportive, cheerful, honest and all-around nice to communicate with through comments, correspondence, and such. I am agreeable to art trades, stories with my characters included, other interesting art/photos shared, etc. but I do not require them. If you comment on my art and help bring me a much-needed smile, I’ll keep track of your kindness and, when time and energy plus inspiration are on my side, I’ll offer you a chance to have your character/avatar/fursona/likeness appear in an original artwork and/or story! Please note that one of the hallmarks of Camp RedstaR is that the characters react to what you say! The more positive the feedback, the more happier they become and more willing they are to participate in more scenes, including the increasing likelihood of their wanting to “play” with the person cheering them on! They may also “chat” under their pictures, responding to your comments and encouraging a dialogue. Some characters are even in “relationships” while others are single and that state along with their personality and the “chemistry” going on will affect what they say, what images they might like to appear in, and how they behave in a story. Conversely, characters that get abused, neglected or unnoticed will be hard-pressed to make a return appearance on these pages. Finally, after what occurred over at Playmouse...I am currently taking things one day at a time. Part of me wants to hold off a bit on the requests and new art projects until the dust settles and we know whether or not Playmouse will come back fully online AND want this old wolf and his crew as part of the galleries there. Recently I was contemplating my retirement from active participation Online, and that possibility is still before me. I will *try* to honor any requests made for artwork at Playmouse that I still have the details for as time, energy, health, inspiration and the rigors of real life allow. The same goes for any new requests...I will *try* my best, but I make no promises beyond my means. Please be kind...don’t bombard me with lists of what you and 30 anonymous furriends want, or yank my tail over “late” artworks ‘cause that’s a sure and quick way to stress me out and make me that much more likely to not draw or write, OK? Patience for new art/stories/gifts is a virtue, and I will try my very best to reward you for such if I can...
Until next time, take good care and keep enjoying good art :)
Sincerely,
RedstaR
PS: Please let me know if there are any extra-special pics that were posted on PM that you'd like to see make its debut here at FA, OK? Also, if you have suggestions/comments, I'll try to read through them and get the grrls to respond, too ;) Your compliments and suggestions/observations may very well become the basis of a new scene...

My first...um...Blog/journal entry thingie ;)
Posted 18 years agoI want to say THANK YOU so much for finding my little spot on Fur Affinity and for giving me and the denizens of Camp RedstaR such a warm and supportive welcome, everybody! When I first came to FA a short time ago, I didn't know what to expect or whether or not my artwork and cast of characters had any place here. While I had contributed a sprinkling of artwork over the years to various sites anonymously or as a guest artist here and there, Playmouse had really become my "home" on the Web. It touches me to know that my art is being enjoyed by new and friendly viewers as well as loyal friends and fans alike :) Truly, I am honored, blessed and very grateful for the encouragement, kindness and joy shared! Remember, folks: YOU are the magic behind my art and stories! It is your positive energy, through your comments and cheer, that give me the strength to draw/write another day and keep the legacy of Camp RedstaR and CHipMunK alive! So, from Min, Syndee, Teneesha, Betsy, Lady Immaculata, Monica, Hildy and the rest of my cast of diverse and caring creatures and myself...YOU ROCK! THANK YOU for keeping us going :)
Now...where ARE we going from here? Well, while the fate of PM is still being worked out, my intent is to give you sort of a "Best of Camp RedstaR" selection here, rather than try to re-create what was over at the other site. Now, word is that PM's galleries may have been lost, and that would include not only the enormous wealth of art itself but the wonderful comments those images gathered and the descriptions/stories that accompanied them. Thankfully, I have retained in one form or another much of the drawn artwork that I have contributed there but some of the special stories, if not recovered from PM, may be either fragments here or altogether lost, save my recollections unless someone else managed to save them. My computer has suffered many troubles over the years, due to design and attack, and even those very expensive recovery services didn't manage to rescue portions of my art and writings. I plan to look over the back-up discs and see what is still viable, and post what I can that's among the best that I've made so far! I also hope to contribute some all-new, original artwork/stories here, perhaps including works that will be exclusive to FA! How does that sound? I'll see what I can do, one day at a time, so please keep watching!
Until next time...enjoy good art/stories and let your favorite creative critters know that you care! Your smiles make all the difference out there!
Pax et bonum,
RedstaR
