So if anyone has heard of the Resident Evil series, you might know about the terrible movie cash-in versions. I've watched them because I always enjoy zombie movies, so heard about the new on, Resident Evil: Afterlife. Really didn't care to see it, but I heard about an after-credit special which I always LOVE. I also heard that it hinted towards ANOTHER sequel and would feature a familiar character. So I was very disappointed to finally see that the cameo was fucking Jill Valentine. God damnit.

I'm sick of whoever is directing these movies because they don't get the big fan sign: We want Leon. If you've played Resident Evil 4, the best one in the game series by far, then you'll know exactly who I'm talking about and why. Nobody cares about this stupid Alice chick who is somehow a zombie magician and can make things float. Sure she was interesting at first, but it shouldn't take four fucking movies to still NOT get that Leon is one of the best characters. Back when I had just heard about Afterlife I said "Oh maybe it will finally have him", but of course no. So then I thought "Well at least it's the last one so I won't have to be disappointed again." But still, they don't fucking get it on their FIFTH movie of this dead horse of a franchise.

Who else wants Leon to come in on the fifth one just to cunt punt that slut Alice? >:T

So, this isn't really me bitching but something that happened today that really... hurt. So I'm just lazing around here on the site when I see a new journal. I look at the notice and see it's from  smileygremlin and she's having a TinyChat. I hadn't really talked to her since the abandonment of my old account so I thought I'd stop in and see if she missed me. When I got in I named myself Aro so she wouldn't know it's me right away (She remembers me as Red on any chat.) So I just talk with the group for a while and eventually the subject comes up of who Lu knows. She said she didn't know me so I wrote "I'm someone you met a while ago." trying to introduce a guessing game. Even others got interested. So a little later I finally tell her I'm Red (She had six guesses, and none of them were me, so that hurt too) and you know what the first thing she says? "OH yeah, the pedo."

I mean, ouch. That.... that really hurts. I mean, yes, a lot of people called me pedo for a while on my old account because I liked cub, but to be REMEMBERED as that? That... agh... that was a really big blow, especially since I thought of her as a friend... And well that really makes me think of my old friends, and how now they probably just think of me as some creepy pedo... Am I really only memorable as a pedo? Do I have nothing else? *Sigh* I want to yell at her and make her know just how much I like and trusted her, and how deeply those words cut. But I'm not the person too. It's not in my nature anymore. And it really hurt... and I'm practically in tears because of it....

So, not ten minutes ago did I just return from watching the social network. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's a movie adaptation of the creation of the ever-popular Facebook©.

When we enter the movie, we see a conversation between the main character, Mark Zuckerberg - who is an obvious Harvard genius, and his apparent girlfriend. But the two quickly become heated as some hurtful things are said, so she leaves him. Mark, now angry and drinking, goes home to blow the steam of the break-up. He and his roommates bounce around phrases and words, a Mark gets the idea for a revenge/prank. Easily hacking into several school social sites, he steals hundreds of the female student's pictures and posts them on a make-shift site called FaceSlam. He would put two girls pictures next to each other, and people would choose who was more appealing. Once he finishes the program, which takes roughly 10 minutes as it seems, he e-mails the site to as many friends and colleagues to get some attention to it. It quickly takes off in mere hours, taking in so much traffic that it crashes the school servers. This grabs the attention of the Winklevoss twins, who ask Mark to build them a site. The site, as they detailed, was supposed to be a social network where certain college's students could connect and talk. Mark sees the potential, basically rips the idea, and thus Facebook is born! What follows is the brothers attempting a lawsuit, some fights between site owners, and parties. The amount of detail and emotion put into what would seem like such a boring story is amazing, which betrays the seemingly slow trailer. At many times Mark and other characters would get into these intellectual debates about coding or legal issues, and it would be very intimidating. And that's what made this fun, because you would see how smart these people are and how much was put into the current most popular social network. This movie will suck you in and immerse you in such a way that you might have never got from a movie, and the best part is when you're walking out of the theater dumbfounded that that is all true. Now, of course, this is no perfect movie. At many points one could get easily lost in what they're saying, or just get lost entirely. The movie does try it's best to keep it on track, but sometimes you lose track of who is who. But for how well this movie was acted and scripted, that can be overlooked.

Overall
This movie is definitely worth a watch. You will be immersed from beginning to end, and will get laughs from time to time. But if you are the braindead type that just wants some tits and explosions all over the screen, this is certainly not your movie. This movie require you to think and pay attention to every moment. And because I love smart movies that are so well written and acted, I give this a
9.5/10
