I want more information on ferrets- I'm doing my own research of course, but I'd love to hear things from ferret owners themselves.

How affectionate are they?

How trainable are they? I know it would require patience, but exactly how much of an attention span do they have?

What is their exact diet? I know they are to have their assigned diet, but are there any treats they can have i.e. the occasional apple piece?

Which brand of feed is best?
How safe are those harnesses? They aren't effective for rats, so I don't know about ferrets.

Roughly how much outside time do they need?

How much are veterinary expenses? Are they prone to any disabilities or illnesses such as cancer, deafness, blindness, etc.

Any other information is welcome.

I've come to realize that I need to separate myself from the computer a bit. I have lost nearly all ability to interact with others offline, of which is a REALLY bad thing... As such, I'm not going to be online quite as much... I won't just vanish permanently though, I care too much about you all to do that.
