We moved up closer to where I work and things are going well with that. But Rex and I are slowly working on organizing a wedding, trying to sell my ancient van, and the travel this past month has been nuts.

We got the condo. It is about 970 sq. ft., hard wood floors, 2bdrm, 2bth all electric. So if anyone is going up to the DC area for cons, you can probably come crash at our place XD It is about 1 hour drive from DC, but a short drive to the metro, and then once your on that your golden. Went into Bestbuy and the xfinity people gave us a huge discount...Blast internet, the preferred cable, basic for another room, the router/modem, and a DVR all for 66 bucks. And we are getting Funimation channel back since Fios took it away.

And, it seems like we have someone to take over part of our lease at this place. Which means saved money all around! Between not really needing a car right away, having the train, and the rent to sq ft ration for up there, we are doing awesome! Plus Rex has a lead on a new job and I get a raise on July 1st and I'm still TAing.

PS anyone who has a commission listed from me will be getting them for free once I have the time again. It is horribly unfair to you guys that it is taking so long. If you feel the need to pay me, tell me and you can pay me what you would like, but I'm not requiring any kind of payment.

Rex and I put in an application for a place today and if all goes well we should be moved on the 24th. Yay no more 6pain hour commute!

So new job isn't bad. It is a bit of a whirlwind right now. I don't mind having things looked over, however when we change something back and forth over and over again it just seems like a waste of time.

The commute is also a killer. I was so tired this week and then every night when I get home around 8 I practically fall right asleep. Or I'm sick to my stomach because I haven't eaten since lunch...working on fixing that a bit. Then I'm up around four to leave and catch the train...

The train is good though. I either read or write or soon will be playing my Vita. I've gotten a lot done, but nothing is updated because it hasn't been typed up. Waiting to see when we will move to decide if I will pay for 3G on the tablet or not. May use PDAnet for now though.

Don't count on seeing me much except on the weekends, and even then it is touch and go as we will be searching for a place to live. Trying to find a townhome rent to own type thing.

Starting my job a week earlier than I was supposed to. And for part of the week I'll be up in Delaware.

Plus I'm up here for the weekend to see my parents, do oil, car shopping, clothes shopping, etc. Rex and I are probably going to pick me up a new keyboard...even if I won't have much time to use it until we move.

I'll be scarce, but still working on things while on the train ride. However, I'll be using the Transformer rather than my Vaio, so I'll have to be careful about typos. I love the tablet, but it isn't always the best for typing on.

Does anyone know someone who lives in the DC Metro area? I'm trying to find places to move and stuff around Alexandria that aren't too much. Also, a room might be available in Richmond if someone wants it

Good news: I only have an upper respiratory infection. Small fry stuff for most people. It is a little worse for me due to my asthma, but it isn't like it is for my parents who smoke all the time. Just gotta cough/blow/hack/drain/etc it all out. Have some cough syrup with codine in it to try and let me get a night of rest this evening. Haven't been sleeping to well thanks to this stuff.

Better news: I got the job I went to an interview for on Monday. This is great news because the benefits are good, I'll get paid a pretty decent amount considering my experience level, and will get to touch all areas of emergency management. It is for a private contracting company up in Alexandria, VA, so I would be working with states all over the East Coast as well as some other smaller companies that may need continuity of operations planning or the like.

So-So News: It is in Alexandria, VA. That is two hours from where I live. It is going to be a bitch of a commute for a while. I will have to drive up to Fredricksburg, catch the VRE($200 a month) and then from there get to Alexandria, get off, and either walk 10 blocks or catch the bus. Or, I will be driving nearly 300 miles everyday. Rex and I are still in the process of figuring this piece out...we can't leave our roommate high and dry like that, plus Rex's work is down here too...nothing is ever easy, but I guess it is what makes us stronger.

Always results in some good ideas...between the dayquil, sudafed, and naporxen, I am kinda in a haze. At the same time, things are getting done...So take it as you will..

I was wondering if anyone enjoyed taur work and would like a half price story. I want to write one and since I have only done flashfictions of them, I figure it would be a half price commission for whoever.

Sorry I have been...well...quiet. This past week was crazy. My internship got turned upside down when we found out that we had paperwork due to FEMA by...well today...I printed, scanned, and uploaded over 2400 documents...by the time I got home in the evenings I was rather done with computers to say the least.

Then, the classes I TA for got crazy because there were people that were added to the classes and taken out of the classes and so one and so forth...it was a rather big mess.

However, the next two days are mine, so I plan on working hard on writing. Once I get some grading done.

Monday I have an important interview, for a position that I really hope to get. So Sunday I plan on making sure that I have notes, references, resume, and anything else I might need together...it is a two hour drive on Monday, and with 95 traffic, it will most likely turn to 3. So gotta get my shit together before then.

OH! Plus, Wednesday was Rex and I's 4 year anniversary :D We went to a nice dinner, got Starbucks for desert, and got new hand soaps from Bath and Body Works XD How odd we are...

Well, with Rex being back, the chaos ensued.

I haven't been on anything as much as I would like to be as I am still trying to organize TAs for classes, doing lots of things still from Hurricane Irene at my internship, and had two 'interviews' this week. In other news, got a bit done on commissions today. Perhaps not as much as I hoped, but I restarted 's and then picked back up on , so I feel much got done. I have a basic outline for both stories and the direction that I am heading in with them.

GB game would be a wash, but when it started to get so good I couldn't concentrate! OMG I am so proud of my Big Blue! One more game and we are in the Super Bowl! I hope it isn't another Giants v Patriots game though...

I will soon be opening back up for more commissions as well, so any advertisement you guys are willing to give me would be fantastic! While I have some job opportunities on the horizon, I'm not entirely sure how long background checks and the like will take, or if I will have to pay for them out of my own pocket, so the money would be nice :D

Did Disaster Survivor Day today...had a blast speaking whit all the people and getting them ready for what come may down the road. But I always like getting out and talking with the public...kinda make every thing else worthwhile.

I got through the background portion of a job I"m applying for! Now to just pass a polygraph and psychological exam and hopefully I will get an offer.

Of crying almost every night. This is just awful...I have no idea how people make long distance things work...I feel horribly conflicted inside. I'm so happy he is acheiving his dream and also feel horribly selfish for wanting him to be here. I don't think there is a very easy answer to this other than to keep trudging and keeping myself busy during the day. Cleaning seems to keep my mind off of things for the most part. And visiting a friend whose girlfriend is also out of the area. Other than that, there just aren't many people around.

Hopefully once internship starts up for the week I can be more distracted from the fact that I'm not coming home to someone or that when I reach over to hold him in the middle of the night he isn't there.

The jealousy of snow doesn't help either. Particularly with the 70 degree weather we have been having...I want cold!
