Being in a military family we expect the last year in a given location to be unsteady, theyre never very good about decent warning times or even nailing down a location until orders a cut which is almost always with very little warning.

We got a total of 30 days notice to moving from the mainland to Hawaii, and while being in Hawaii is wonderful and it might sound like I am complaining, you try and deal with moving pets, making plans, cleaning, move out inspections, vehicle shipping ect, within a month XD.

As you might guess, Im coming up on that time again. They're hunting at Japan this time, possibly in October, but nothing is set in sand let alone stone.

I also have a very large project I am working on that will be consuming a lot of my artistic time. So Im debating how I want to manage between that, moving prep and making sure I have somthing of an income still from my arts. I may just go back to my old habits of shoveling out rando adopts when I have the time.

either way for the time being, aside from one comm I need to do, I wont be taking any more commissions unless someone wants something of high value <$100+> and is ok with waiting a little longer than usual to get it.

Sidenote, if anyone has done an oconus move to okinawa I would love to hear about your experience there. <3

This is a list of current items that might be expected to crop up in the store and their purposes.
I will be keeping track of who purchases, and uses their items.

Eosi Crystals: Crystals range from simple to ancient, their purpose is to increase the chances of Eosi inheriting a trait upon their creation to 100%. Or to add a specific trait to an Eosi that is in the process of creation. <Cannot be added to existing Eosi.

Myo scroll: This scroll allows the buyer to create one of their own Eosi. They may not include traits unless they have crystals to use. You must adhere to Eosi rules, all designs must be approved by me before making public.

Courting Beads: Baubles gifted from one Eosi to another to initiate breeding. This allows for a pair specific breeding. May be used as an MYO or comm, <prices will be tiered accordingly> Offspring must resemble a combination of parents. Traits will NOT carry unless you have crystals or BOTH parents have the same uncommon or rare trait. If one or both have a touched trait please see me for a dice roll to determine if the trait will carry.


Wild Snare: This is for an Eosi comm to be completed by me. Poses and pattern will be up to me, color palette chosen by the buyer. All traits will be common unless crystals are added.

Paint bucket: With this you can change the color, but not pattern of your Eosi. Changes must be approved before posting.

Initially I created a discord for my new CS species, but since my CS selection is growing and after a vote with my discord members I decided to open the channel up a bit.

I will post the event start that day, you will have until April 14th to decide on your pairings.
Remember Eosi are gender fluid, so you dont need to worry about matching male to female -unless- the eosi owner is very strict about locking their eosi into one gender identity.

On the page listed above there is an index with every Eosi created so far. Check which ones are commented by the owner as "available for breeding" This means, you do NOT have to ask the owners permission and you may pair them with your Eosi.

"Oh well, I dont have an Eosi so I guess I cant participate in this"

*price! probably a flat $15 each Two babies per pairing with the understanding that the eosi are taking turns with appropriate genders.

*colors! I will be using this. https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_mixer.asp to get the colors for the offspring, colors will not always be dead middle, I may vary them a little for aesthetics. Please make use of this when choosing your pairings. I dont want any complaints about ugry babies ;)

*Patterns! No site for those, so they will generally reflect one parent or the other or have a bit if a mix depending on intricacy, ect.

****TRAITS!!**
Traits are potentially hereditary, but not guaranteed, They will be passed down on a sliding scale with better chances for uncommon and less on down to touched.
Parents with the same trait will 100% pass down the trait to their offspring, except with touched traits.

Legendary status is NOT hereditary.

This is just like.. a tiny rant because its been shoved in my face enough times today Im angry about it.

Pets, guys..

I dont consider them children, but I do consider them a massive responsibility. I have put more money than I ever care to think about, into making sure theyre as happy, enriched and stress free as possible.

They cost money guys, gobs of it. That cheapy kitty you rescued off ebay needs good food, vet visits, shots, ect.
You're $30 petco gecko will probably require another $200 or so in proper vivarium equipment, and exotic vets sometimes charge a fortune for visits.

If you're having trouble making bills, dont get a damned pet please. If you have to advertise sudden and desperate needs for funds, dont get more pets.
If you consider moving a reasonable situation to rehome a pet, dont get, goddamned pets.

Seriously, I had a lovely talk with a well organized rescue <not someones personal inhouse rescue> about whether or not I should rehome my elderly cat VS fly her when we move soon. Not only did she encourage me to bring my kitty because it is MORE stressful to rehome them. She recounted quite a few heartbreaking stories about dropped off rescues that literally shut down to the point they died because their owners dropped them off.
They simply stopped eating, withered, and died due to being kicked out of their family home. A lot of them make it, but consider the stress it takes for an animal to ignore all survival instincts and just allow itself to degrade to the point it needs intervention to keep it alive.
I am sorry if I make some people feel like theyre being targeted, but it seems like some people need that extra wake up to keep them from being impulsive. These guys are voiceless, helpless in our world, they deserve every effort to make sure theyre given every opportunity at -good- life and not as an impulse purchase because theyre soft and we're impulsive creatures.

First off, Eosi are a closed species. This means, if you're not familiar with the term, that you cannot create your own.
You can only get Eosi by purchasing available adopts through the creator or an approved guest artist, through breeding events hosted by me, or other raffles/contests/games ect hosted by me or guest hosts I have approved of.

** Lore/Rp. ect

Lore wise I'm keeping things to basic flavors just to flush out the species. Anatomy, diet, social aspect ect will all have some basic sheets as we go. What personality, habits, lifestyle ect you want to give your Eosi is entirely up to you, How you RP them or write them into stories is free for the owner to decide.
I only ask that you stay within the basics of anatomy -publicly- what you do in private stories/rp is of course, entirely up to you ;).

** Magic

This is another section that will have its own sheet at some point. For now basic rules are this..
Eosi diets are extremely relient on raw magic to keep them alive and functioning. They feed off leylines or raw energy sources that have NOT been converted into controlled magic <I.e they cannot feed off imbued trinkets, wands, stuff like that> they store excess energy into manifested jewelry that looks however they choose it to, in some rare cases it may show up as motes, crystals, or even a conscious entity.
Eosi can also use excess magic if they desire, to perform spells, shape change, and defend themselves. Just keep in mind, depleting that resource will lead to death without a viable food source in range.

**Breeding

Eosi are gender fluid by nature. They can change from between male or female or even support both genders at once, or none if they so choose. They can alter their status at will.
Eosi have one to <rarely> two offspring per mating. A womb is required to carry and birth, however its not unheard of for breeding partners to take turns fertilizing each other in a single breeding.
For rp or personal purposes you may choose to have your Eosi always Identify as a single sex.
For breeding events, please keep in mind that if your Eosi is listed as available, or you choose to get two offspring from a pair, this does mean, technically, that your Eosi was female or possessed a womb at some point. This really only makes a difference for people who want to really be indepth with their OC, and I only include this to be completely clear for those instances.

Breeding events can be held by me, or guest breeders approved by me, only. You can use these events to have offspring created from your own pairs, or pick from Eosi listed as available in the Index. Individuals will be responsible for whatever fees are required for their own babies. Each pair can have up to two offspring as long as everyone is comfortable with the implications of that pairing.

Eosi are free to couple/mate/ship however their owners desire outside of these events, however no offspring will be recognized as official outside of approved events.


**Traits and apperance

Finally. the overall appearance of Eosi adopts cannot be changed without approval by myself. This includes markings, colors, trait addition or removal, ect. If you want to change something please feel free to contact me and we can discuss it.
Traits cannot be added once an eosi is created, traits CAN be bred to carry to offspring with a degrading 50/50 chance starting with uncommon and a small downgrade in chance to rare, and then touched.

Offspring will resemble somewhere inbetween the parents with both color and pattern.

My comms are all done, and while I have some art rattling around in my head that I want to do, the husband just came home from deployment so I will be.... busy... for a little bit.

All caught up on Commissions!! What this means for people who have been asking me for new ones, is I will be ready to take them soon. I'm just a smidge burned out and I have some personal work I want to get too first.

For anyone who saw the accidental missile alert for HI, it was exactly that. We're all ok, theres no thread inbound. Someone pushed the wrong button, probably while testing the system and sent out the "this is not a drill" rather than "this is a drill" I feel rather bad for whomver this person is as they are likely getting the ass chewing of their life.

I will say, they need to be a little better about sending out the "whoops, my bad" alert afterwards cause word about it being a false alarm is spreading way slower than it should be. This event stopped traffic on highways and had jobs evacuated.

Welp. I hope everyone's holidays were peaceful and restful if not awesome altogether! I had my parents fly out, they enjoyed their time so much the extended for an extra week and only just left on Thursday. It was awesome, it was needed, I hadn't seen them in two years prior to this visit.

SO! Back to work. Through the weekend I will be working on some owed stuff and catching up on housework. First off, I m absolutely astounded at how much you guys really seemed to like the first Eosi batch. I cannot thank everyone enough or explain just how much it means to me. I truly hope I can continue to do them justice and keep them going for as long as everyone is having fun with the species! I also promise I will not make a bunch for myself like I totally want to XD


With that same interest I would like to start a compendium for the species so we can keep track of owners, animals, and possibly even lineages in a way thats easy for everyone to research if they want to.

Most of these tend to be on DA, with a list of the animal, traits, and who owns it. It probably wouldnt take much to include links to offspring either so family trees can be traced.
I personally find stuff like that hugely entertaining and immersive, I think it will also help safeguard against possible "fraudulent" Eosi if it ever got to the point someone started making fake ones <Im not that popular, but Ive seen it happen elsewhere>

I will likely be looking for volunteers to help me keep up with these lists and any groups we start, Ill focus on that once we have a stable base of operations. lol.

Ee-oh-see


Eosi are highly intelligent, self aware creatures capable of harnessing magic through leylines to craft for their own use.
They're long lived, but not immortal, generally averaging out to one a 5 to 1 year human equivalent with standard vulnerabilities to elements,
mortal wounds or sickness if they dont employ magical resistences to aid themselves.

Eosi are slender, long legged creatures in their natural form. Four legged, hoofed, with thick soft fur about the neck, ankles and tail
With the tallest adult maxing ten foot at the shoulder, the shortest only five foot from hoof to shoulder. It is not uncommon for them to
utilize magic to form change, though this requires greater amounts of consumption **please refer to diet for more information.

Overall body fur is extremly soft, thick, short and comes in any variety of colors and patterns. Eosi horns are very durable, and generally smooth
with one solid color to a fading bi-color with some occasional exceptions.
Longer fur about the neck, ankles and tail can be just as colorful and does not have to match the base coat.

Perhaps the two most important notes on Eosi are gender and diet.

Gender: Eosi are gender fluid. Meaning they may pick and choose between male or female reproductive organs, or even sometimes maintain both, completely at will.
This is greatly benefitial for breeding purposes and keeping genetic stock healthy and diverse. While some Eosi may pair for life and choose permanent sexual roles,
many consider breeding simply one more aspect of natural life and do not require additional commitment beyond the necessary acts. Generally only
one to two offspring are born per mating.


Diet: Their diet is complex and varied. It is not uncommon for Eosi to spend an entire day ensuring their dietary needs are met. Their omniverous side is often covered easily enough
, accepting nearly any form of edible sustance they can russle up. From fish, to meat, berries, ruffage, grains, even carrion thats not
too old. The difficult task comes with the evolutionary adaption that gifts them their magic. They must consume energy directly from leylines
to not only keep them in a supply of magic, but also survive. An Eosi horn is a good indicator of the current supply of magic, dull, colorless horns indicate an Eosi
is starving and close to death.
Magic is collected from leylines through their long tongues, when a suitable source is located, webbing of the same color as the tongues
flesh will extend and collect energy, sweeping back into the tongue where it saturates into the blood stream.

So.

Sorry I've been a bit absent, Had to wait about two weeks for the new tablet to get here.

I ordered the new Gaomon pd 1560 and.. I do very much like it.......... when its working. -.-.
I got to use it for all of two days before the tablet decided it would turn on, but do nothing else. I'm emailing back and forth with support who has been fairly prompt in answering and giving me actual, possible solutions to help, so thats a huge plus were a lot of companies customer service tends to suck *coughwacomcough*

So thats been a big delay art wise! haha.

I also have family coming to visit today through new years so even if I get it working you may be seeing very little of me while I enjoy their visit..

My tablets completely down at this point, I cant get it to make a connection at all. Im hoping it is the cord otherwise I'm going to have to buy me an all new tablet.

if anyone knows of someone selling a wacom pro or better, please let me know. Used is fine, but it must be less than a year old and lightly used, guaranteed working.
