Like.. I love this artist their work is amazing but Im weirdly OCD about cleaning out my notifications and they repost shit -constantly- like... hourly.

I need to practice profile work so today only I'm offering three slots for profile <side view> busts.

These will be sketchy with basic color, basic shading

So considering calling the new species Avalon with their lore as follows...


Initially created to be intelligent bio suits for soldiers. Avalon's are a synthetic material capable of intelligence and learning.
They do not possess bones, organs, or flesh. Rather they're comprised of micro network of a rubber like material that expands inward, almost foamlike to fill in the vacant space when they are unoccupied.

As suits they are symbiotic, bonding with only one or two wearers, with the initial bonding process quite painful as networks are established to allow them to bond. The wearer can see, feel, hear and control the movement of their Avalon.
An avalon's synthetic make up is extremely durable and resistant to damage, fire and waterproof, Theyre extremely light weight, weighting only around 100 pounds when unoccupied. Because of this Avalon are not very strong on their own.

Avalon were intended to work as a simplified AI, increasing their wearers reaction time, mental processing, and lending updates and advice as needed.
When it was discovered in the first couple suits the Avalons are actually capable of self awareness and increased intelligence the project was scraped from a military standpoint.


Avalon cannot reproduce on their own, howmore of the are still being created is currently unknown.
Avalon are, however, fully capable of incubating fertilized life and carrying it to term by fostering an internal, adaptable system capable of fitting many different species.

Avalon require the consumption of organic materials, though they do not have any standard digestive system. They simply break down the meal in its entirety and will use -all- of it, without wasteful biproducts.
While all suits are anatomically viable outside, they are not sex exclusive to whom they can bond with. I.e a male suit can bond and be worn by a female, ect.

Basically anthro babs, but rather then fur they have a synthetic type skin, maybe with the feel of latex or the like?

Think of making a species base on this.

This is kind of a weird place for me, I've spent as much a time as anyone in customer service and I agree with sellers most the t time when they talk about extending the same form of customer service <or better really> as larger businesses, ect.


However..
Anyone who has worked bottom of that barrel knows how bad customers can get sometimes. belligerent, rude, demanding, ect. Those situations are bad enough when you are not actually creating what theyre being paid money for.
I'm all for maintaining contact, professionalism, ensuring people get what they paid for and being clear ahead of time as much as possible how reasonable those expectations are with your skills/styles.

Now, this long winded rant actually has a purpose. ;).
Earlier today I got a PM on Tumbler, fairly standard really. Voicing their approval of my art, very kind words and a vague kind of "future purchase" addendum.
I glossed over the purchase part, mostly because I see it a lot and its almost always a platitude. Thanked him, was intending to follow him back.
Before I could, he messaged me again, four pms within a very short window, amounting to the "hollow words" of my gratitude and some messages I could not, even as an internet and netspeak veteran, understand.
Now the fact he was already bitching about my "hollow words" had my finger hovering the block button. Because this is how far my own customer service extends.
This is the point Im taking my time in getting around to.

I am so very laid back, I dont anger or take offense easily. I take criticism as it is intended and even desire it most the time.
I, personally, will offer customer service <whether you have paid me or not> the same way I will offer civility and respect. The same way it is extended.

Shortly after the mini text vomit of barely decipherable words, I said "I'm sorry, I don't quite understand you" <mostly figuring there was some language barrier issue really>
I was told to "try harder"


At points like this, my customer service, my civility ends.
I will not argue with you, I will not rise to the bait.
I will simply block you.

Remember artists are not Walmart, not McDonalds. We give you pieces of our souls in little bits at a time that take a great deal of time. As much as we love to create, it is exhausting and we are -people-

So please, just be reasonable, polite <3.
Don't be a push over, obviously, but please remember we are people first.

If you were following kttten things, theyre all doing very well still. Almost nearing time for adoption. Its clos to time to get them fixed and Im working on weaning them off canned food to only kitten chow <some are resistant> .
Theyre all amazingly energetic and I cannot even relate how insane it is having five batshit needle demons all zooming around all the time XD.

I have a few more free art pieces I will be gifting out in gratitude for some of the out of the way help I've gotten to finance the unexpected costs of kitten parenting. I might just collage them when theyre all done for a single submission here after their owners have received theirs.

I may also start going back to random watcher sketches. I stalk peoples pages now and then and run across ocs I would love to draw. I may not always ask before drawing them, but I will always ask permission before posting. Most of its just for personal pleasure and practice,

Do you guys like the option of possibly winning an original adopt with $1 purchase raffles, or would you rather me keep to the flat prices <generally around $30> or auctions so you have more control over actually getting the piece?

I'm open to either, but honestly if people dont want to leave it to chance its not worth it for me to run the raffles. I lose out on a lot of money and there doesnt seem to be any enthusiasm. I dont mind letting things go cheap now and then, just not worth if you guys are not having fun.

Enif are quite magical in nature, so while their natural form is rather taur like, it can be easily said they're able to change shape to accommodate more anthro, human or even feral forms if desired.

As their name might suggest Enif are of the stars, both their magic and physical form are born from celestial bodies and each Enif calls one particular star home over all others. His or her magic strongest whenever that star currently shining over them.

Just as any creature born of stardust <As are all, enif are simply more.. condensed. ;)> they have all their own quirks, personalities, preferences. ect.
They may be kind, joyous, curious, cold, adventurous, even cruel.

Perhaps the only predictable aspect personality wise is when it comes to tainted Enif.
Rare as the dark stars theyre born from, they're highly unstable both magically and emotionally.
Eggs for these will appear very rarely for sale and have a different color scheme to their more common brethren.

So today I will release the teaser for the new species I egg previewed the other day. Hopefully that will be the deciding factor for people considering adoptions on those. I know how exciting/scary new things are XD

Also, I am going to be shoveling out like.. A -lot- of cheap base adopts for the next few weeks. I have my parents finally coming out to visit and I would really like to have some spending scratch so we can do all the fun stuff. they will probably range from $5 to $15 so very affordable.

The next $1 auctions will be on sat april 1st. I promise I will have more pieces for that one, this last one was super slow and kind of meager cause of the plagues and life bidness.

I feel kina like arting today, but since I don't know what I though I would offer just my watchers some very rare commissions XD

I'm honestly not sure how interested people are in seeing more done with these guys so I'd really love some feedback. I'll post up some art with a link back to this journal just to make sure as many people are seeing it as possible.

Previously I posted up the link to a website I've created for the kitling species and I'm currently working on some new art inbetween a couple commissioned pieces. but since I can't really see website or journal traffic, it occurs to me Imight be wasting time XD.

So combined with the couple interactive aspects of the website, <the best in show, breeders list, ect> I also plan on starting the celestial breeding and adding "Rare" mutations that will likely be recessive and have gene markers added to individual bab sales.
so like.. say you purchase a rare tea cup mutation, and then breed it, your kittles will be normals, with teacup "markers", if those babs are bred to other babies with teacup markers you will get teacup babies.

My ideas for genes so far are;

Teacup

longcoat

four ears

horns

I may add more and celestial half breeds will have some quirks of their own as well.
I've also decided that the star point on the forhead signifies a past celestial breeding in the animals lineage. So while they are not half breeds themselves, the mark is carried down from someone who was. More just a lore point than anything.

So please comment if this is something you think you'd like to be involved in. I think I may put most of the art work on hold until I know its actually going to get some attention.

I will be running these through the weekend and may add a couple more today just because its the first one of these.
In the future I think what I wil be doing is putting projected dates on my main page and adding to the folder so you guys can window shop and decide who you want to bid on when the time rolls around.
