I need two volunteers to be our initial slaves.

I need an OC you want to use, your W/W's Some basic personality traits of said OC, an image of your OC you'd like used for this <will be deleted when the auction is finished, and artist credits will be posted>
Or if you would like, I can do a simple half body for $10 that you may keep.

The intent of this is to create a fun sort of plot for people to expand and rp on. So if you're participating, please be interested in making some words with your winner.

There is NO REAL MONEY involved in these particular bids. So encourage your friends, rp partners, ect to join in and bid away!

You may post a -very small- rp style bid if you wish to stay in character. limit it to two sentences or less please.

Since there isnt a real money issue, Im going to set an end date/time for each auction <since otherwise they could go on forever. lol> There will be no snipe window and you will only get a vague idea of what time the auction will end <I may amend this at a later date, but for now its the only way I can think of to keep things within a reasonable time limit>

Once the auction is over, it is up to the winner and the OC owner to then discuss their game, and hopefully make some awesome words from there!

I'll keep this short and sweet as possible.

I've been struggling a little personally with how to do raffles. I've noticed theres some people on FA who only seem to cruise the site looking for free art.
While I have no qualms with this action, its not something I personally want to encourage. I have nearly 100 watchers and my average viewing on any given piece is about 20. Which tells me the majority of my following is either inactive, or ONLY looking for freebees.

One of my main goals is to pull people in who actively enjoy participating, viewing, ect. Buying is great, but I'm more concerned with growing as an artist and that is aided by an invested watcher base.


After this egg raffle, there will be no more -free- custom watcher raffles. I will still offer free art at zero cost, but it will be base, premade pieces. Which hopefully will promote people to participate who like the bab and discourage people looking for free original, custom work, and nothing else.

Custom/original raffles will have one of two requirements. Either you must have purchased within the month or be a member of my patreon starting at the $2 range.
Honestly, and Im sorry if this insults a few people, if you cannot afford to support an artist with $2 for even a single month. You should not be trolling pages for free art.

I completely understand that $2 can be a lot for some people, I will never bash anyone for being broke. Or even if they simply don't want to spend real money on digital code just because it is pretty. Thats entirely your right.
However, Not only is a lot of my time invested in my art, but there are people who have invested time and money into me and I feel those people deserve my time and my efforts as undivided as I can make it.

But free custom and commissions will now solely be a reward for those who invested, even the smallest amount, so that I can keep creating those free items.

So most my watchers are a pretty quiet bunch, I don't get a whole lot of input on my journals. Which is totally cool!!

However I have an idea that requires a lot of cooperation from people, especially given the amount of time it will take on my part to make this a thing.
So if you have an opinion, suggestion, ect. -please-, even if you think its silly or in the negative <long as you are polite> Put a voice to it :D


My thoughts,

I semi started an alt account that would feature a slave auction of sorts. Unfortunately I got SUPER busy and have not had time to expand on it at all.
I'd like to look at potentially getting it going, I have not decided if Im going to focus it on my patreon or keep it on the alt FA account.

How this would work is a couple ways.

First I will create some characters of my own, do a nice image of them on the auction block with a small write up. People can bid, they get the art, rights to the OC, ect. If the fee goes past a certain amount, I will write up a short story involving their oc and a "buyer" of their choice to go a long with it. Their.. first night, if you will.
Buyer will have some input of the over all flavor of the event.

Secondly I will host other people putting their own OCs up for auction. They will have the option of paying for an image from me <I will probably create a YCH type base for it to keep costs down> or submitting an image of their own to be used.
People will bid -fake- funds <no real money exchanged> for a chance to RP with the seller.
I thought it might be a fun way to introduce potential partners together, and lend a little realism to the event.

There will be rules of course, every auctioned "slave" will have a bio that will include their W/W, so theres no confusion on what you are getting.

I want to start this by saying the vast majority of people who have bought art from me or commissioned pieces from me have been amazing.
You've been supportive and respectful in your criticisms. Often you guys are my motivation when my muse is feeling temperamental and I appreciate you more than I can express.
I am always open to making changes and making sure you get as close to what you wanted as can be managed.

This is for those other people.. Blessedly I have had little experience with a "nightmare customer", but I have read the logs of some that truly scare me enough to consider not doing them at all.

Don't be that person. Don't be a doormat, an artist should be open to some specifics and alterations, but remember what you paid vs what you are asking for. Keep in mind we have lives, we may have customers ahead of you. Dont -badger- someone constantly for updates, maybe ask for a TOS or when you can expect your first update so you're not just waiting.

If you shell out $15 for a piece, don't then expect a highly detailed piece of work down to -exact- specifications.
Keep in mind the artists style vs what you are asking for, Say they do some AMAZING chibi work, adorable toon style pieces. DONT come to them expecting a paint style of the same quality.


One bad experience can burn an artist out for a long time, and they WILL warn other artists about you the same as a buyer will warn others when theyve been robbed or treated poorly.

Keep in mind you're paying for an artists time as much as that piece. Any other craftsman you would pay an hourly wage to, in addition to other costs. We should be treated no differently.

I posted at the beginning of the month we would be opening our home to other military personal who could not afford to travel home themselves and that all sales would be going towards feeding them .

Predictably sales were a little slow because, you all have families to feed as well <3.

But I have to give a HUGE Thank you to not only did she save the day with a pretty decent buyout, but she made it so I could send everyone home with left overs to enjoy.

As promised those who contributed up to the $200 goal will recieve extra entries to the free raffle thats coming up.
I may do something christmas themed to suit the season.

Ontop of that will also be getting her very own custom RuneCaller as a thank you for being one of the major contributors to that goal.

Concerning pre-made sales;

Payments must be made withing 48 hours unless otherwise agreed on for any flat rate or auction sales of premade adopts. Payment plans will be considered for prices over $50.

Unless otherwise stated, buyer will be given full rights to their purchased adopt, they may make any changes, redraws, lore, ect they wish once paid for. Obviously closed species will have some restrictions. If reselling, or redrawing I ask some credit be given to me as the creator.

Resale of your adopt is permitted, but please ask for no more than the sale price unless you're including additional art work.


Upon FULL payment, you will be sent the sta.sh address to download the full scale PNG of your adopt without watermarks. I may start including a small signature,you're not permitted to remove that. <I promise to keep it unobtrusive> If you would prefer the file is sent to you via e-mail. Please let me know.



Concerning commissions;

Turn around time for commissions will be one month or less for most pieces. There may be a rare time with complicated, full background ect, that I may ask for a little more time to avoid burn out and subpar work.

Payment is due by first redline unless otherwise agreed.

Commissions will be given three stages for approval, delays in approving, overly vague instructions, constant changes may result in some delays in completion
First approval will be for your initial red lines. Here you will approve of the overall pose, body structure, and lay out
second approval will be the finished lines. You MUST make all line changes now. No further line changes will be made once I start coloring so be sure everything is how you would like it. <You will have a max of two subsequent approvals if changes have been requested.>
Third approval will be colors/pattern. Mostly this will end up concerning works where I have no reference to go on. You may request stream time so we can talk it out while the coloring is in process. Otherwise, color pallettes, and char examples are welcome.


I promise to always keep in mind that your art, is important to you and your money is hard earned. I will put every effort into making sure I honor the fact you chose me as your artist to breathe a little more life into your ocs.
I only ask in return, you understand I am dedicating my time and full attention on your work to the best of my abilities. When asking for changes, please make sure theyre intended to correct faults or inconsistencies with the character design and not simply a difference in artist style.

I reserve the right, at any time if I feel our styles, ideas, preconceptions are not meshing well, to terminate the project and apply a refund. This is to prevent a loss of further time on both our parts for work that is looking like it may not fullfill the desire of the buyer once finished.
I reserve the right to cease work and apply a refund if I feel I am being harassed, treated unduly or otherwise harried after at least one warning has been applied. Refunds in this instance, after warning, may be reduced to account for time/work already spent.

Refunds may be requested for reasons that fall outside of my TOS, but I reserve the right to refuse and maintain the contract of services at my discretion.

ok these past few weeks have been a little hectic. I apologize again to people who have been waiting for work from me. I know I generally ask for a months window, but I don't feel like I have been keeping up at all.

Long excuses short, I got a little overwelmed with some things and had a down swing in confidence with my work so I avoided doing it rather than provide disappointing work. lol. That said please dont EVER feel bad about asking me to correct or change something if it really bothers you, that is how I grow as an artist.

However I will be closing further commissions from here in so I can work on the promised revamps to my page to make it more organized and pretty, as well as get this comic and Patreon NSFW stuff started.

I've mentioned a few times I will be doing a comic for my patreon. I may actually end up doing a couple, but I'm going to start with a Rune Caller comic.
I feel this is a great way to expand on the lore and have some fun with the species. It will also add elements for people who buy their own RC's who may want to see them appear in the comic now and then when I hold raffles for such things.
There will be NSFW elements, so hurray for that! I plan on having the first page, if not the first two out before the end of this month, with atleast two, to four pages published a month <we'll see if my hands can handle it>


While I am flushing this out, I wanted type of companion animal/pet/species for these guys.
So I am going to hold a contest. I need you to draw me a design within the guide lines listed below. Best design will receive a free custom RC with their companion animal and free issues of the comics for as long as I create them, without having to become a patreon subscriber.

Art skill does not matter for this, so please don't hold back if you "don't think you're good enough". I want your ideas and ingenuity. <3

Rules;
You may enter as many times as you like, you also may remain anonymous if you wish.

If I choose your species, I will be taking the rights to use them in my comic however I want, and it will become an "open" species. Which means anyone will be able to draw their own. You will be credited in the comic and I will ask that anyone drawing their own gives creator credit, but I cannot be held responsible for the actions of others.
So please do not create something you wont have the heart to release <3.

Do NOT pester other people entering the contest, if I find anyone is being harassed before, during or after, you will be disqualified and removed from all future raffles.

Deadline to enter will be wed Nov 30th, I may extend that if enough people feel there is some constraints with the holidays.

Guidelines that will be listed below this are not static, Theyre mostly preferences to what I am looking for. If you arenot sure about something you want to add, or an over all feel, please feel free to prod me and we'll try to smooth it out.

I'll keep this as short as possible!
I'd like them to be on the small side, no more than domestic cat size, but they can be smaller.
Any species, it can be completely imaginary or based off something real, but I want something original. So not like.. Just a weirdly colored bird. Give me more to go with :D.
I'm goingto have them moderately intelligent, this may or may not help in your design.

I envision these not as pets, per say, but more in a symbiotic relationship with the Rc's. Living in small groups that have adapted and evolved to work with the RCs. Sometimes forming individual bonds, but more often hanging around, picking off scraps, and parasites while alerting them to intruders or helping them search out prey.

Per some advice I'm going to be revamping a lot of the backgrounds for my adopts and commissions on display, removing the texture and putting in a darker <or lighter in some cases> backdrop.
Most images I will simply replace the existing file, but some of the older adopts that have been shuffled around and lost I'm going to replace entirely.

I will do this over a few days to avoid flooding watchers with status alerts.

I am also going to be revamping my price list. Unfortunately commissions will be increasing in price, though I will still offer the occasional low rate batch so everyone can have a chance at some art. I've just found that commissions eat up way more time than I expected them too. Negotiation is always a welcome thing.

I have my patreon up and running, though art is sparse at the moment.

I'm going to be revamping my base adopts once I get done with a few other things I have planned. For now, these babs have been sitting far oo long without homes.

Shortly I will be posting a small grouping of a new "species" of sorts. Given that its not exactly an original idea I don't feel like I can host this as a closed species. That said I would ask people dont snipe off the idea too zealously and starts slinging a bunch of their own adopts <3.

Nefesh relics are spirit imbued artifacts possessed <or slaving if you will> feral elements that are summon-able by the owner as a companion piece to your oc. These are not ment to be OC adopts, but rather a pet, or tool of your existing lovies.
Of course you may play them how you want once purchased, but that is how I envision them <3.

There will be tiers to these. Im going to start with three for now, price, art, and power will increase with each tier,.
The more rare and more powerful the piece, the more finished the art will be.

There will also be, every once in awhile, rare artifacts.
The art for these will be fully painted and shaded, with some customizing allowed. I will include a half body paint with BG of your oc with their relic.

Of course these will also be priced accordingly. ;). I will include atleast one of each tier in this first batch so you can have an idea what to expect in future groups.


Tiers;

Tier one; These are fairly simplistic beasties. Summonable only once a day for mostly simplistic tasks< i.e attack, defend, deliver>
Their strengths are mostly physical with some very small, minor magics available to them.

Tier two: summonable twice a day, there is some modest increase to intelligence. You may offer them two, sometimes even three step commands and they will follow through with dependable reliability. Their magic is increased, as well as speed and attack power or defense depending upon the over all strengths of the individual Nefesh.


Tier three: Summonable twice a day. These Nefesh are very intelligent, able to follow through with complex instructions and even simple problem solve to some extend on their own. While they cannot weave complicated spells, they are capable of more devastating attacks.

Rares; Rares are infinitely summon-able and self aware. They are even capable of manifesting themselves without being commanded to, if they feel it worth their time. Rares are capable of potentially bonding with their wielder, showing emotion, weaving complex spells and completing complex tasks with independent problem solving.
While they do need to return to their artifact now and then to recharge, or risk depleting themselves to dangerous levels, those times are reasonable short <one hour for every six>.
Due to their self awareness, artifacts can also be temperamental at times, while they will not outright disobey, some of the more crafty and less attached ones may look for ways around given commands or even loopholes for manipulation that might land them in the hands of another if they feel the desire for one reason or another.
These relics require a clever wielder who will know when to show a hard hand, or a soft one, as needed.

Just a quick note. Im going to close commissions for ref sheets for a little while. Theyre just so very time consuming. lol
single poses, ferals, half bodies. Still good to go on those. Turn around time is approx one month or less right now.

Also in the near future I will be raising some prices, on commissions. I feel my skill level has reached a point I can do this within reason, and as a result commissions also take me a little longer with the amount of detail I am putting into them.

That all said. I will still always try to offer low priced adopts, especially with the eggs/potions. things like that I have some fin things in mind for a suedo species that will be ment to compliment your existing OCs, rather than give you new ones.

Part of which was just a very fluid idea on what I wanted to feature to make it worth your time $$ to subscribe.

I said I was going to do some streaming today, but I think I need to take a day or two off from digital art. My wacom is being a shit anyway, I need to redownload the drivers and hope its not crapping out on me since its only a few months old.

I also have to make a bunch of LED books for an upcoming con and Im feeling a tad overwhelmed and under productive in every day life <omg the state of my bedroom....>

I just stopped watching a perfectly decent artist because they were outright cranky no one had been faving her stuff lately, and there was not a SINGLE fav on her own page.

The DA is a little inactive right now because I have been focusing more on the digital art, though I did order a bunch of LeDs at my business partners request to make her some for her next shows.
So digital art might slow down just a tad while I work to make that deadline. I can post the tomes here if people want to see them as they're finished.

So, I'm trying to come up with some base ideas both for free and pay to use.
I have some ideas, but I also feel like some of my ideas might be over done and generate no real interest.

Is there a base you've had in mind or been looking out for?
Should I just stick with some nice feline/fox/wolf models since those are the more popular oc types?

What about monsters? I would love to do some monsters, but I feel theyre so specialized that it might not be worth it to people to use them as a base.

**If you're unsure, a base is a lined and sometimes shaded piece without color. Sold or given away for people to color and pattern to taste.**

So I'm going to stick with the credits towards free stuff that I mentioned in an earlier journal.

In addition to that I'm going to start setting goal amounts where I will offer up random free raffles once theyre reached.

Going to work on some Pay to use bases today and maybe a special $1 entry raffle that I lined awhile ago and never finished.
I'll post the goals as my Journal headers so theyre easy to keep track of and then announce whenever theyre reached so people can voice their desire to enter as in past free raffles.
