First Foray
Posted 13 years agoSo. I guess I should start with the basics. I'm Reinholdt. I've always been a big cat lover. I dunno. I guess I just relate to them. So when I first joined an internet forum, I used the famous sniper kitty lolcat as my avatar. And from there it's rolled. I joined another gaming forum and started roleplaying a talking sniper kitty there. It became a bit of an icon and I became the cat guy.
And of course, there was always a catgirl picture or two hidden somewhere on my computer. >>
Well... that was less exciting and a fair bit shorter than I thought. Anyways, so my friend Llama (hi Llama) invited me to FurryCon at Atlanta. Or FWA. I forget what the W is for. Regardless, I took a shot and went. I've been to a few small gaming cons before, but this really was something else. All things considered, I'm pretty straight laced. So this was way beyond my comfort zone. Though that's not particularly difficult to go past.
But I managed to have fun anyways and make some new friends. I wish I had asked for more of their FurAffinity accounts, but to be honest, I only even thought to sign up because someone randomly told me to look her up on here (Hi Nekedra/Cyri! You probably don't remember me, but there you have it). But maybe I'll find a few on here. Coda, Seppel, Badger MD, Blayze, IttyBittyMasoKitty and others I'm sure I'm not remembering right now.
I finally got some proper cat ears and tails my colour though. (EEEEEEEEEEE~ ^^)
And a lot of pornographic cards. >>
I even recognized some of the people on them just from being around. It might be silly, but I hope to one day be cool enough to have a pornographic card made after me!

I know how that sounds in terms of secular immortality, but I still think it's a really neat idea. <<
As fun a game Furotica is, none topped entertainment value more than Aye, Dark Overlord. We had other game tables stopping their games a bit just to listen in for a while. I need to get this game very soon for my other gaming groups. Doesn't matter Llama's getting it. I see him 1-3 times a year!
That's... well about it. I hope to definitely be there next year with more disposable income. I still feel like I should have soft fuzzy ears on top of my head and can't wait for my badge to arrive in the mail. And, uh... nice to meet you all.
