Posted 15 years agoI'm seriously considering one when me and my friends are finished shooting episode one of Sunglass Mafia. This time, to even things out a bit, it's going on the right arm, in a complete band near the bottom of my deltoid muscle.
What of, you might ask?
The Mighty Boosh! XDD
Just wish I had the chance to let Noel Fielding himself design it. Ooooo.. I would DIE from the sheer excitement of being able to put that on my body. Instead? The line with the skulls going along it with coloured lines randomly crossing, and in the middle is the head people usually think of as their logo (or so I think anyways).
.... It looks cooler in my head, alright? I'll draw a mock-up in SAI later.
Anywho... I'm actually a bit buzzed on Baileys and off to watch the Future Sailors Tour DVD my friend let me borrow that he picked up on his semester abroad in England. Lucky bastard.

Down side is, it's like learning to draw ALL OVER AGAIN!
I have no idea how to draw in multiple layers, and I'm watching tutorials on Youtube on how to draw in Paint Tool SAI. *sigh* I don't know how well this will end up, but I hope to try and get somewhere tonight.
Anywho, just thought I would throw that out there.

Updates, a web series, and web comic starting soon!
Posted 15 years agoWoo! So, since it's been a while since I posted a REAL journal not about Doctor Who episodes, here's a quickie about what's been going on.
School's out and I'm not taking classes during the summer. The only good classes pertaining to my degree were Screenwriting and Mini DV Film Making. (If you guys didn't know, I'm in school for Media Tech with a focus on TV and Film.) So my precious Thursdays off from work are taken by a web series my friends Jarvin and Mike (I met them both in TV Production this past semester, along with most everyone in the project) called Sunglass Mafia. Here's the description straight from the Facebook page for SGM.
The series takes place in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where Mr. Midnight finds himself leading a team of crack-pot CIA agents in a campaign against the ruthless Kryptonite G. Joined by Cochese Smith, a self proclaimed ladies man, Harley Havannah, a senior agent right out of the psyche ward, James McPherson, an explosive loving Irishman and former mercenary of the IRA, and Abby Law, a former thief and lover of all things English.
I play Abby Law in the series. XD She is such a hoot to play! Everyone is working cameras when they aren't on set, and we all help write the episodes. They are mainly written by Jarvin and Mike though.
As for that web comic I mentioned in the title? Well, it's not Rhiannon, Alura, and all them. It's Sunglass Mafia: Origins. When Cochese and Harley were rookies, Abby and her friend were thieves, and Kryptonite G was a part of Sunglass Mafia. I'm going to be doing it in mostly black and white, except the covers for each "episode" which will be coloured as well as certain aspects of characters such as eyes, distinguishing features and of course blood. Kind of like Sin City. Yay for buying a lot of ink, gel pens, and new technical pens! *coughcoughnotreallycoughcough* I might start posting it on here if people are interested.
Okay, that's about it. I got a few things I need to scan into the computer and post. I have a laptop now, so I don't ever really use Compu for anything but backup, scanning, and printing of things.

Ohhhhh what a way to start series five of Doctor Who!!! Matt Smith was BRILLIANT and Karen Gillan has a very good chemistry playing his companion Amy Pond. Moffat's writing? GENIUS!!! I can't wait until this hits America in less than two weeks.
My scores?
Doctor - 20/10 (Matt Smith is my Doctor now. With Peter Davison)
Companion - 10/10
Music - 10/10 (I want the soundtrack when it comes out)
Story - 10/10

1. I am a Beatles fan from birth, not one of those who got into them because of Across the Universe or because it's the it thing to do.
2. I play in Rock Band competitions, singing on expert.
3. I have a bass named Henriette, she is my Fender Precision replica Rock Band controller, and she is my baby.
4. I am an anime and anthro/furry artist, and do only clean art.
5. I have carpal tunnel in both my wrists, but it's worse in my right.
6. I drink enough energy drinks that the caffeine levels don't affect me anymore. Even if I drink two.
7. I have a tattoo on my shoulder from the show Doctor Who, and my dad still doesn't realize it.
8. My mom is the bomb, who agrees?
9. I originally went into Media Technology in college for radio, now I'm focusing more on TV and film.
10. I am learning American Sign Language and can have a decent conversation in ASL.
11. Later on in life, I want to go to school to become an interpreter in ASL.

Posted 15 years agoSo, I went and saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D last night for the midnight premier. What did I think?
IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!!!
It went far beyond any expectations I had on Tim Burton's twist on Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. Of course it has that dark feel that all of his movies have, but once in Wonderland and you see all the different characters. It was just awesome!
Matt Lucas (from Little Britain) as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum was genius. He played the part of the twins so well! Anne Hathaway's White Queen was very much like I imagined her to be. Alan Rickman came on as the Caterpillar and I nearly laughed my head off. *fistshake* POTTER!!!! Helena Bonham Carter portrayed the Red Queen in such a way I won't be able to imagine her now without the big head and the pig to warm her feet. XD Stephen Fry (you know, the guy who narrates the Harry Potter movies and plays Reaver in Fable II) as the Cheshire Cat was awesome. Once again it showcased his AMAZING ability to voice act!
And what everyone has been waiting for/complaining about! Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter? Best combination ever! Especially since I could see subtle tones similar to his portrayal of Willy Wonka. You forgot he was Johnny Depp and just knew him as the Mad Hatter.
Also.. Christopher Lee is the Jabberwocky. EPIC!!!!
I am definitely going to go see this movie many many many more times! As well as buy the DVD and wear it out when it comes out! XDD
Note: I don't spoil the plot too much... XD Just talk about how awesome the actors were so you HAVE TO GO SEE IT!

I fucking hate my dad. He's the fucking reason I can't go to FWA this year. Why? Because he's claimed me on his taxes, and by law he can't because I'm 20 and only a part time student. Not full time like he apparently thinks I am. I was going to file as a single person, no dependents or anything like that. I was going to get back $800 dollars, which was going to be my FWA funds. What happens? He claims me and I fucking lose $700 of it. I am so pissed and upset that I've been crying for the past thirty minutes.
FWA was going to be my vacation before one of my very close friends flew down for my birthday in April. It was going to be a weekend away hanging out with friends, playing video games, and having so much fucking fun. What happens? My fucking dad ruins everything like he did last year, but that was after I got back from the con.
If it wasn't for his house being so fucking close to work and school I would have been out of here a LONG time ago...
Fuck my dad, fuck this house, fuck this place. I want out of here.

INFORMATION ON CONTENT: I do not draw porn of any kind, messy babyfurs (with stains on diapers and such, clean is fine), or inflation. I am not comfortable drawing any of these at all. Please do not ask me to. I am comfortable drawing nudes, but no erections. I do consider a nude with an erection porn, so no trying.
DEADLINES: I live a pretty active life. I go to college part time and work part time at Walmart. My work schedule is erratic at best, with some weeks working me thirty-eight hours and other working me twenty. I also have a lot of homework from college. If you have a deadline for a drawing or a badge, tell me before hand and I will do everything in my power to get it done.

So... Maybe $3-4 for conbadges, $5 for sketch commissions, and $7 for full colour drawings?
If someone who does commissions could help me figure out a better pricing, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I obviously live in the southern states of the US, where we're getting rained on so much it's flooding and the county my mom lives in, my friend lives in, and my job is at is in a state of emergency. My mom's yard is eroding, my friend lives on a hill and all the roads around her house are flooded in about a foot of water, and my job... Well, I don't trust the low roads I have to go through.
I hate where I live right now... -_- I can't wait for the water to recede and the sun to FINALLY show it's face.

Posted 16 years agoOkay, so I'm bored.... XD I'm surprisingly not tired from having woken up at 5:30 this morning to get ready for school. WEEEE!!!! And I love my TV Production class! It's only a tuesday/thursday class, but I still love it! =3

Posted 16 years agoJust got home from seeing Inglorious Basterds. This is the best, and I mean the BEST, Tarantino movie I've seen since Death Proof a few years ago. Brad Pitt's character wasn't in it as much as I thought he was going to be, but his performance was also beyond amazing. One that's redeemed himself as a good actor in my mind.
Nothing like seeing a bunch of nazi-hating soldiers skinning heads and Eli Roth beating the shit out of a nazi captain with a baseball bat. *couldn't help but imagine the Scout with the way he was talking* XDD
All in all... Had a FANTASTIC night with my friend Jenn and watching the movie. *dance* Anywho, off to bed!
