So I guess I'm a V-Tuber now?

Bought a house, got a promotion at work, got a puppy that's currently trying to chew her way through all my nice things, got a couple of cats that are hell bent on helping the puppy destroy my stuff. It's been a ride. Apparently I am a gluten for punishment, so I've decided to throw my hat into the virtual ring and become a V-Tuber! Lords of muff help me!

Weird at first cause I've still got my overnights job and a puppy trying to eat all the things.

Will this schedule stay the same? Probably not. It's very prototypical right now working around my work schedule and normal life. Things are likely to change as I figure out times that work best for myself and the viewers. Things will change big times if I somehow go full time streaming. So we'll see.
What type of games will you stream?
I love so many games and types of games it'll be a healthy variety but as you can probably tell from the image I'm eyeing retro games to replay as well as Pokemon. Not to say modern games and indies won't make it on, and after work streams will be cozy games like Stardew Valley, Sunhaven, and Critter Cove. Maybe some Webfishing.
Will you be a lewdtuber?
Hell yes. I am not for the kids I am for the streets. I will say bad words and make lewd jokes. Heck I'm advertising I'm starting this via porn and FA. I'm 18+ all the way. We will have many long chats about which Pokemon will have the wildest of muffs.

MomQuest! The Game!

Some keen eye'd individuals have noticed that I am getting an awful lot of art featuring mom characters lately with a lot of that coming from Fenrir-Lunaris Well I'm working on a game. A dating sim/visual novel/adventure game with a heavy focus on milfs and Fenrir-Lunaris has agreed to do the art for said game. That game is called...
Cheesy name? Yeah sure, but when you are making a furry adult game might as well go with the obvious.
So MomQuest. It's going to be a long term project so don't expect it to be coming soon. This is kind of a soft announcement because there's no way I'm going to ask Fenrir to keep his glorious art work secret. Yes there is a patreon for it but we are keeping that a bit under-wraps for now. Once we are past sketches and ref sheets and I get a bit more of a handle on coding sure. For those of you that are proficient in google-fu that find it and want to contribute, great! It'll go a long way to helping me get the art assets for the game paid for. Yes, I am announcing a furry game and am warning people off throwing money at me till I've got more to show for it. Welcome to crazy land! We have cookies.
What is MomQuest?
Well to put it simply it's going to be a visual novel esque game I will be releasing for free. It will feature art by the legendary Fenrir-Lunaris, writing and coding by me. Multiple paths and endings, high quality multi image cut scenes, a main cast of 3 moms for the core game and more planed if I don't spaghetti code this thing into oblivion. Oh and of course more grass on the field than John Deer can handle. Mountains and mountains of muff. Cause come on. It's me and Fenrir here. What else did you expect from us?
Why MomQuest?
I'm a network engineer and I can see the writing on the wall for my field. Machine learning networking in mass will be here before we know it and the gateway to that is Python. The problem there is I am absolutely trash at sitting down and watching videos and learning that way. I have to get my grubby little hands in the works and learn by doing. Add to that the fact I am a game design and game industry drop out and this is the perfect project for me to learn with. All of the fun without any of the mind numbingly boring digital class rooms and projects or the big corporate oppressiveness that is the game industry. So this is basically a way for me to learn coding and have some fun doing it while making something others can enjoy as well.
Why Fenrir-Lunaris
Because nearly a decade ago Fenrir talked me into scraping together some cash and going to a furry con. I was unemployed for over a year, chewed up and spit out by the game industry, a college drop out because I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. At this con I meet someone who offered me a base line tech support job. Since then I've worked my way up the ladder from supporting rural area dial up connections to sitting in a network operations center keeping tabs on the the fiber lines that feeds the internet across the entire United States. Saying I owe the man is an understatement. So if I'm going to do a project like this I'm going to include him.
That and his art is amazing.
Plans?
Right now I plan on buying the art off Fen and plugging it in where it goes in the game engine and beating the code with a hammer till it works. I'll be sharing everything here when I'm not lazy about uploading, and on the patreon in tandem. It's all going to be free to everyone anyway so I really only want people supporting the project if they really want to support it. I'll be funneling all the money to Fenrir-Lunaris anyway for more art.
However let's say that when it gets to a point Fenrir and I are comfortable sharing the patreon things go wild and people like it, really like it? I will give back 100% what is put in. If the community decides that MomQuest is going to be a big thing I will dedicate myself to justifying every cent put into it. Live 2D for animated segments, custom music, the works. If things go absolutely nuts I will set up an LLC, treat my co-workers to an amazing good bye meal and work my ass off to meet expectations. I highly doubt we'll get that far but I'll be ready to reap what I sow.
Really, when all things are said and done even in my 30's I'm a kid that wants to make games. I've got the opportunity, the drive, and good friends to help me. I don't really care about making a bunch of money, but if it comes to that I want to continue making games people can play and enjoy for free. No gimmicks, no micro transactions, no price tag, just support if you want to games everyone can enjoy if they want to. As for why porn games? Well I'm a huge pervert and I think they can be fun as well.
So that's what I'm up to in my free time when not in my wood shop or building and painting models. Hope you will enjoy the ride! Any questions?

I do I'm just really lazy about uploading do to my work schedule. 12 hour shifts make a demon sleepy
"Why do you buy so many adopts?"
I am weak in willpower and many friends enjoy enabling me by encouraging me and showing me awesome adopts.
"You bought this awesome adopt from X and haven't uploaded or gotten art with them yet."
See the answer above. I've gotten a lot of art with a lot of characters people haven't seen yet.
"Why don't you upload now?"
Because my file system on my PC is so slap dash and I have so many images to upload, approaching 200, it's kinda overwhelming. I will get to it. Maybe not all at once but I will.

Oh I do. I just hardly reach out. I'm a little paranoid about being that weird guy that sends a note of, "Hey your characters sexy, I want mine to do sexy things with them."

I'm an art school drop out and working my way up the tech ladder is my best shot for the money honey and again I have week willpower and a lot of hobbies. Warhammer, wood working, PC building, PC gaming, and various others. So I need that lovely late night shift diff and long hours pay. :P

Size difference =/= cub/loli

Just popping in for a quick mild rant journal about the increasing tendency of some to view significant size difference as cub/loli works. Now this may apply more to places like Hentai Foundry and Reddit, but I'm just finding it silly. Larger characters getting paired with smaller characters, gnomes, goblins, and yordles, is apparently too close to potential cub/loli to be allowed anymore.
As a person who really enjoys himself some size difference art and know that a 5'3" character with a 10'0" character doesn't mean that the smaller one is a kid/cub/loli/shota. What really irks me is that petite framed small breasted girls are amazing and that if I get any art with them and one of my larger characters there is going to be people out there that assume underage porn.
Uggghhh. Despite my inability to comprehend any art as more than lines on paper and shouldn't be seen anything more harmful than that, it just bugs me that there are people going on these crusades against awesome art. I'm just a big tall demon that wants to fuck some normal sized people.
Why the rant? Well a post showed up on Reddit censored, haven't seen it posted to HF yet and only saw it cause someone posted the full image to imgur, because it had a larger futa sticking it in Tristana, a yordle, from Legue of Legends. Tristana is lore wise in her early to mid 20's, a military veteran, and founder of her country's special forces.... yet because her race is diminutive art with her and a larger partner shows up as "under aged" >:( THAT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS AT ALL!!!!!! >:(

Zuna joins the party!
General | Posted 10 years agoOk. Sooooo apparently this is becoming a thing! :P Thanks to a certain cat that shares my perversion for big monster girls with schlongs I learned Zuna here was up for sale. I of course having a poor sense of financial control swooped in.
Zuna's original owner had fallen on hard times, so when I made the offer on the character I made them the same offer I made for Velvetine, the big lovely segral bug that graced my galleries for a while. I handed them money with the agreement that they'd be able to buy Zuna back at anytime. So once again I find myself being the temporary caretaker for an awesome character.
Unlike last time I'm not going to be running Zuna's old account I've just been given permission to upload art to my gallery instead. So expect some art to be filtering in when I have some spare moments to get it posted. So expect to see more of her and some hot werefur on werefur action soon to come (paging Fenrir. Your bush mastery is needed :P)
So let's all give a warm welcome to Zuna, and let's wish her orginal owner only a short time away from the character and a winning lotto ticket tomorrow! Till then let's make sure Zuna enjoys her stay and gets so very sticky. She's in my perverted hands now after all :P

Identity theft insurance

So. Now that I've sent all the money I said I was going to send I can report, without people trying to back out of my obligation to send them cash (NO GIVE BACKSIES), that after numerous compromises at various places last year some dastardly no good rapscallion has stolen my identity. Looks like they were in Florida and were stupid enough to put their home address on all the mailers for credit cards and bank applications. Which when you pay a Texas based credit union for protection against that stuff is a weee bit bad for them. Suffice to say that end has been wrapped up. Now my credit union and pay pal are just getting all the charges reversed, cards canceled, and credit repaired.
Sadly the jack ass and I have very similar addictions to vaping and to online f2p video games so we are having to untangle legit from fraud. :(

When I've got an hour or 2 to burn I've found my self reviving Guild Wars 2. I'm on tarnished coast and I've got a guild that i've run and been upgrading if anyone is interested in playing some time. General | Posted 10 years agoWell I've got all the components I need to browse me the web and all that but I'm still missing a graphics card of any real note and I've yet to begin the data recovery operation for some past hard drives. Once all is said and done there will be a whooping 7 attached to this new rig for a bit. Till they can get migrated over to the TB drive at least. But I'm currently installing drivers and programs as we speak. Should be semi online soon!

General | Posted 10 years agoSoon as I get a better platform for doing it IE my pc. I'm going to get realy serious about getting my self back into shape. Which means posting weekly updates and progres pics, the reason I need a pc. Being a hefty guy has worked out pretty well. There are a lot of people who like fat guys, they the real mvp, but I'm getting sick and tired of it. I don't feel comfortable in my own fat. :p I used to be really in shape before tearing my knee and shoulder to bits. I kinda want to get back there.

General | Posted 10 years agoIt's been 15 good years with my best friend but today is going to be the last day of them. I won't be around on messengers much if I don't outright drop my phone on a blender. Char has been a sweetheart and the biggest baby you have ever seen but with seizures taking their toll on him and being alergic to the meds we've tried it's saddly time. I'll be spending the last few hours before his last vet appointment with him.
He's been the best dog I could have ever hoped for and it's gonna be a sad few days. Apologies if anyone reaches out to me and gets silence.

How will IMVU make money off FA?
General | Posted 10 years agoThere is a fear that FA is going to get put behind a pay wall or that IMVU will start selling of artists hard work. I kinda want get my two cents in and do a realy weird thing with it.

So iMVU is a big company that has game thing that does yes make money. If we are going to start hating everyone that wants to make money we have a lot of artists who we need to start ragging on. Wanting to make money off of FA isn't a bad thing. In fact there are a lot of ways to do it that aren't really going to impact us negatively at all.
Let's go ahead and take the bull by the horns and dive right into the big fear monger hot button topic right now. ART THEFT!
ge golly wilikers that sounds bad. Why yes it is. Taking an artist's hard working and making money off of it is bad and art theft happens on IMVU and many many other sites. Seriously. Dig into fury mate, furtrax, or any other rp or hook up sites. I doubt profusely that there are that many snow white and artic blue fox herms in the central Texas area.
But let's focus on IMVU for a bit and their unique situation now. They have a unique opertunity now with the ownership of FA to not only really crack down on art theft but give the artist a chance to profit. Now under the same roof IMVU can intergrate FA into it's self in favor of the artists. It has the opertunity to allow the artost to offer their art on IMVU via FA. Thus taking away the opportunity for art theft and presenting the chance for profit for the artist.
How does this net IMVU money? Well you gotta buy the fake internet money to buy the image on IMVU so they get the money from that plus get a % of the sale to the artist. Granted I have no idea how fake imvu money converts to real $$$ but I'm sure there is an exchange somewhere.
This kinda segways into another way. Intergrated merchant services.
No having to leave fa to pay for a commission and improved site functionality and market place support. Artists no longer have to worry about pay pal shutting them down, taxes get easier, and it gives easier ways to do business. How does this make IMVU money? Well they probably wont force their fake internet money on FA so most likely a small 1 to 5 % fee on the transaction. When your just the middle man even pennies are profit.
Basicly from here it's just a descending list of possible ways to take advantage of merchant services being intergrated into FA and a team to do it and someone at the helm to puah for the right functionality to be implemented. Honestly who right now wouldn't love it if FA had auction support or patreon functionality built in? "Chip in roght here right now to unlock my full gallery!" Yes it's a pay wall but it's a pay wall that pays the artist and gets iMVU small fees for just existing.
TL:DR IMVU isn't going to be stupid and pay wall FA or steal your shit but probably try and get small fees out of it buy baking in merchant services.

Laptop power supply dead
General | Posted 10 years agoWell aparently it's not my month for power and elctronics. Lap top power adapter is dead. Got out my voltmeter and checked it all out and low and behold the adapter is dead. Thanks to my a bill comeing out a week early I find my self with exactly 4 cents till payday. Anyone got a g75vw asus power supply for 4 cents?

Well apparently my PSP is dead
General | Posted 11 years agoApparently the battery on my PSP has decided to explode after one of my friends tossed it to make room on a table and one of my friends has decided to walk of with the charging cable so I don't have a way to test it and see if the whole unit is fragged. Damn. I guess I can't quite make the ordered jump into the Persona series like I wanted.
So yeah. Fix the PSP or cave and get a PS Vita? Though I don't know what I'd do with it other than play old games with it.

FA vs FurBuy - a bidders perspective rant
General | Posted 11 years agoSo yeah. This is going to be a bit ranty because it makes little to no sense to me personally. Being a big warhammer 40k player I use EBay a lot. I set reserves I monitor my auctions, and when I'm stuck in a busy 12 hour day at work I'm not punished for not being able to reload the auction page every 5 seconds. I just set my reserve and go. If it goes above my reserve oh well. That was the max I was gonna spend on that item anyway. It's great. I put my bid and max bid up and walk away. Do my job. Rarely relax. Do some RP for once in a blue moon. Pain my models. Not hawk over the auction page.
FurAffinity as an auction platform... offers none of this. None what so ever. No automated bid extension to prevent snipers. No proxy biding that allows me to put my limit and walk away. None of the awesome and damn convenient features that make it easy to manage auctions like a site built for it. If only there were a site for that for this kind of thing.... oh wait. There is!

Seriously guys. It's simple. It's easy. It's free. It allows me as a buyer to conveniently bid on things I like. Place proxy bids that will auto bid to my limit, automated bid extensions to reduce sniping, and with a buy it now feature to allow for auto buys in place. It's great. I've used it before and I love it.
Oh and artists. This just isn't me being pissy. It's you leaving money on the table! Tonight I was biding on an auction. Like most nights. I'm working. Stealing looks at it on my phone between calls. Final minutes. BEEEEEP phone call comes in cell phone goes down. Wrap up said call check back. Auction lost. Cause I was doing my job. Sad thing. I was willing to go as high as double what the artist ended up getting. Did I want to snag it for less than that. Sure. It's an auction. You play the game for that reason but still. The artist could have gotten double the money or more.
I really don't get the dogged insistence on running auctions here on FA. Sure it's easy on the artist to do it all right below the submission in question, but man if there isn't an auto buy I have to really really debate if I even want to bother biding. There's no way I'll know if in the end I'll be at work. Plus guys. It's potentially more money for you! Proxy biding is awesome like that.
End rant. Thanks for listening. It's just frustrating as hell to be in these situations of choosing art/characters or doing my job right.
