Order request doesn't work there yet, but I still enjoy figuring out the details "live" in discord.
Also there's a very depressing avatar, I draw my character too little, I didn't have much to choose from, but I'll fix that soon and it'll be more fun there!

Posted 3 years agoHello everyone, this is my first Journal. Today I want to tell you about my vision of the situation in Ukraine as a person from Russia. Probably it will be a long post, I will be very grateful if you read it.
Haha, I hope I don't go to jail for this post. I'm writing this to show myself that I'm not afraid.
Russian people didn't choose the war.
I have heard many people blame the Russian people, including the Russian people, for our inaction when our power does madness. So let me tell you how someone from Russia sees the situation
I learned about the war on February 13. I didn't believe it. But you know what's funny? I learned it from my friend French. At a time when there was no information about it on the Russian Internet. I didn't really believe it. But then, when I was driving home, I saw a lot of military equipment, which horrified me. I saw the equipment the next day.
I told my artist friends about it, they didn't know about the situation either. My father tried to reassure me, saying that it was a drill with Belarus (the city where I live bordering that country).
But then, a few days later, a friend of mine sent me a video which proved that the war had begun.
It's horrible.
I was very worried, slept badly, because there was nothing I could do. I don't want war. I live in the capital of one of the regions, but trying to find information about rallies, I found, God, a rally in support of the war!!! It makes me want to cry.
When there was a rally in our city to support the release of Navalny, the students, including me, were just kicked out of the dormitory!!! Allegedly a cockroach cleanup, which, by the way, did not happen.
Fortunately, in Moscow and St. Petersburg brave people come out to rallies. All I can do is be proud of them, because in Russia it's really dangerous. People are beaten and detained, put in jail for pseudo-extremism... I couldn't find out the exact numbers.
Russian people couldn't get one man (Navalny) out with mass rallies all over the country, let alone a war... We did not elect our president, the elections were rigged, worthy candidates were not allowed, we also held rallies, but it had no result. Some media personalities are speaking out against the war.
The Russian people are accustomed to tolerance and intimidation. People of the older generation are saying that it's normal that the PRESIDENT HAS A HUGE CASTLE, that this is normal, that they're stealing, that everyone is stealing. I am outraged. That's what my mother said. People are afraid to go back to the days of mass starvation and unemployment, to the 90's. If you go out to express your indignation, good luck going to jail and then trying to find a job so you don't starve to death :)
Absolutely all the people I can call my friends are against the war. As time goes by, I feel more and more ashamed that I live in this country. I am ashamed to call myself a Russian. But now I can hardly escape from here either, because Russians are not welcome anywhere.
I have a silly theory that Putin wants to build a totalitarian regime. Like in the USSR. To close the borders he started a war, then he will say that "Ah, it's all the evil America and Europe, it's against us, white and fluffy, we have to fence ourselves off from them". A lot of young people are leaving Russia, it's a great solution to stop it, isn't it?
It's horrible when countries that defeated Hitler Nazism together are now at war with each other. Of course, there are idiots, with meager minds, that think that Ukraine deserves it, but it's far from everyone, really.
I think that the situation is ambivalent, Ukraine did not comply with the Minsk agreements, there are people there who openly declare Nazism and promote it, wear Nazi uniforms. I still don't know how true this is because I haven't seen it with my own eyes. But after all, it's not the fault of ordinary people. If Putin couldn't convince other countries that the situation in Ukraine was strange and started a war, then he's an incompetent president.
I don't want you guys from other countries to get mad at us, ordinary Russian people, artists, anyone, we don't want war.
My position is probably childish, but I just want world peace. Why can't everyone just be friends? Without thinking about race, nation, power...
I just have to trust that this will all be over soon.
I don't want anyone to win or lose. I want the war to never start.
