*dusts off a thick layer of dust* geez is this a journal page or a ancient tomb? Who's the bloody idiot that runs this me...Oh hi there journal readers, thought that I finally get around to do a journal and wouldn't ya know it, it's deja vu of last year.

It's the day after bungie big stream and it was a glorious thing, thought I vent my two glimmers on some of the key things brought up.

Shadowkeep: Hoy boy this thing looks quite fun, oh sure I can totally sympathise with old grumpy Destiny fans crossing there arms and calling it a lazy reskin, obviously it be much cooler with a fresh new destination but my nostalgia sucked me in and the spooky lineup of old bosses, appearantly due to some power of the darkness is a simple twist on old content that still feels intresting.

Also the armor changes and the new artifact looks to bring a lot more options to us players which is nice, looks like it's gonna be much easier to focus on looks without undermining the min/max numbers.

Also the new exotic weapons look solid, especially the bow, it looks surpisingly meaty for a bow and the knock back mechanic looks like simple fun. BTW it's either stupid or balsey to stick to a September release date consider Borderlands 3.

The new purchase model: Talk about the most clearest diffrence between pre and post Activision Bungie, sure I don't buy that pr talk that "it's no longer about a business model" it's quite clear the new stand alone, alakarte approach to offering content is a much smarter long term business model with a pro customer approach that's...well good business.

Destiny 2: New Light: Ironically even tho this barely affects me this is what I'm most excited to see, for so long people have been alienated to Destiny 2 (and 1) because of frankly justified dissatisfaction of price vs content but now that exuse is out the window, you now have access to a large chunk of content completely free and with a fast path to end game you can in mere moments hook up with long time players and join in on the fun. This is the shot of adrenaline the franchise needs and I love that bungie did this.

Stadia & cross saves: And here is my least excited parts, purely from a personal perspective, I have no intrest in either but I can at least appreciate them for being there, so for all of you who where asking for it, hope ya happy now.

Oh and pc version is moving to steam...wohoo *chuckles*

Update looking solid, love the new pursuits, new collections (so nice having more stuff I can just dismantle out of my vault) including what looks like easy shader access.

New weapon slots looks intresting, can't say much about pvp balance, but I'm mostly pve so don't know how hard it affect me. Random rolls is the thing I'm the most Meh and on the fence on, making ya game more of a one armed bandit at a casino is not depth in my book, but I'll reserve final judgement until we have more details.


The expansion is looking very fun, cool location, bows looks nifty and those new supers looks sweet (new Sunbreaker looks sweet but I'm looking forward to more info on sentinel)

New Gambit mode looks fun, in a weird way it's like a dark souls microcosm and that's kinda cool.

Overall I'm happy to feel some genuine joy over D2, it's been a rocky, messy journey so it's nice that it's looking up.

Ticks of a lot of my boxes, post-apocalyptic, third person action, intresting looking protagonist and apparently has a mechanic where ya can mutate ya character to gain new abilities, comes for ps4, Xbox One and PC as far as I know.

So, after a few good hours of the beta I'm quite satisfied with what I seen, the story mission was just greatly paced and really set things up for the story, ending cutscene was very gripping and I'm quite sad I'll have to wait until launch to find out more.

Strike was quite fun with a good mix of challenge, boss was perhaps a tad bit spungey but at least the changes phases ads a bit spice.

Pvp I only bothered with control and despite the slower time to kill and slower movement it still felt quite fast, it was really nice to have pvp that was about gunplay.

Honestly I only have two gripes. Ability cooldowns where across the board to much, I appreciate trying to downplay them, but it felt a bit to much, maybe the armor perks that supposingly reduce it will be significant, but honestly I trade weaker armor perks for a faster base speed.

As far as pve is concern I felt power ammo was way to scarce, made the power weapon feel irelivant, luckily this point has already been addressed in between the old build used for the beta and the most current build.

All in all still eagerly looking forward to release

The Destiny 2 gameplay reveal was short and sweet, so far it looks to do a sequel right, keep the core and improve upon it. Time will tell if this keeps holding true as more info comes to light, but so far I'm stoked!

Geez, time flies, only one week until my most anticipated game of this year is out, kinda funny how way back early this year I thought it peek already with Bloodborne, but then Beth just nuked away that game with there announcement.

In my mind this looks to be the greatest Fallout yet, blow for blow everything Beth has shown us looks great, so I have my pip boy edition orded, my first character build set, a six pack of coca cola in that classic bottle style sitting in my fridge and Im ready to go.

looks very interesting with a varid character creation system, a good selection of factions and a familiar yet exotic setting to play in, give it a gander and spread the word if ya like what ya see.

Edit: some snooping around turned up a fun fact, hc svnt dracones is Latin for "here be dragons", a sentence referencing unexplored and unknown places, the history of this stems from the tradition of map makers of drawing fantastical creatures in places of a map that was partly or fully unknown.
