Updates coming soon, maybe~
Posted 10 years agoSuper busy with work however a friend gave me a tablet they weren't using, which is awesome, and I'm getting a secondhand laptop that is a significant improvement from my other one. What this means among other things is that Ren gets a new reference sheet soon! <3 Which means more new commissions. :3
I promise I haven't forgotten! A million sorries.
Posted 10 years agoI've had an insane amount going on in my personal life. But no one is forgotten. As soon as I sort out my potential homelessness in the near future, I'll get back to work. I still love you all, and I'm sorry!
Request updates.
Posted 10 years agoOkay so here are the status of my requests. Just keeping this here so I don't miss anyone!

Can I just make one more journal about...
Posted 10 years ago... how great this fandom is? This is a 2AM rant, so bear with me. But like... wow. I mean sure it has it's not so excellent parts like any fandom does, sure. But I just keep meetings so many awesome people here and on the forums.
The amount of community that is generated by the art alone is the nicest thing. I've had people draw my sona, drawn for other people, had people draw pictures of our sonas together, drawn pictures of my sona with other characters, commissioned art, commissioned art collaboratively... the list goes on.
But it's validating in a weird way. Like what, there are people actually like my mediocre trackpad art? And what, there are people that like my character? Wow. It just makes me so happy. You're all rad as hell. Goodnight.

Resuming activity soon.
Posted 10 years agoI'm getting my laptop back soon which means I can finish up the last piece of art I'm working on for a friend, and maybe work up the courage to post some more of my stuff. Then I wanna do more digital requests, yay! Practice, practice. I've got so many ideas in my sketchbook to play with. Also I commissioned a few more pieces this week, including a new character of mine. Good things. :3
Updates on works in progress.
Posted 10 years agoSo I have free character art for I think about three more people I'm still working on who have been kind enough to let me practice with their characters. I promise I haven't forgotten about you all - I have just been really depressed and overwhelmed lately, not to mention sick. Also, I think I'm gonna wait on getting a tablet before I finish them, so I can do the best job possible. This might take a few weeks, though, so please be patient. I'm realizing I can do passable color with a trackpad but ultimately drawing lines with it just winds up too frustrating. They don't end up as dynamic as I want them so all my characters just come out very static looking.
So far I'm still finishing up pieces for:

Let me know if you should be on this list and you're not.
Thanks for your patience.

This is a pretty cool place.
Posted 11 years agoI've just been thinking about this lately, so I figured I'd write a journal on it. I've really been blown away by the welcome I've received to the fandom. I've been a part of a few different online communities but none have been as friendly, open and receptive as this one, not by a long shot.
Since joining here, and the forums a couple of months ago I've met a lot of really cool people. Some of them have been friends I've had amazing, quite personal conversations with. Some of them have offered up their characters for me to draw and practice art with. Some of them have given me compliments on my art, and encouraged me as an artist. Some of them have made tentative plans to meet up with me at conventions. Some of them have drawn lovely art for me.
Which is another cool thing... a large part of the fandom is incredibly talented and creative in some way. I've been blown away by the sheer number of incredible artists, photographers, writers, and musicians I've encountered! That seems to be another thing I've noticed. Furries are creative people by nature, and I think that's so cool.
I've really only been here for a short time, but that doesn't seem to matter. Regardless of the nature of my interaction with them, all of them have been really inviting and friendly. Some of them have been active for years, and some of them are new like me, but... everyone is just so nice.
So I guess this has really been a long-winded thank you to everyone that has interacted with me so far here, or on the forums. Thank you guys so much.

First reference sheet soon, yeeey!~
Posted 11 years agoI just commissioned a reference sheet and got the sketch... I couldn't be happier. Can't wait for her to be finished! That being said once I've got it I'm going to be looking to commission a bunch of art soon! All of the art. If there are any artists you all have worked with and recommend comment here or shoot me a note. <3 Also, I'm looking to share some of my own work soon, I hope.
I commissioned
infinite-scribbles for the reference and she's been absolutely lovely.
