Posted 6 years agoHad a dream in anime vision (like watching something, not first person), the premise was that I had a dragon mother.
Specifically the set up was that my human father was out of the picture before I was born, and was being raised
by my maternal mother and my aunt or fathers sister, on a large and uninhabited uncharted island.
The mother looked a lot like the character Rory Mercury from G.A.T.E though more matured.
The aunt was kind of generic and not terribly defined, I do recall medium length brown hair though.
I was shown scenes of life on the island, the seemingly loving atmosphere and the likes.
There was one kind of funny scene in particular from what looked like toddler age, I was
with the aunt when a plane flew overhead, some high up commercial jet.
I turned to face the sky and waved saying "mama!" to which the aunt seemed confused then amused,
I would assume it was a case of a small child thinking it was his dragon mom flying up high.
There was even a cartoonish looking scribble on screen as if to show what the child saw in his mind,
a weird cross between his mom and a grey bird thing. (raised in solitude without much education or tech)
There was a cute scene about the mom sheltering him/me from the rain, she built shelter from foliage.
It kind of reminded me of a nest/den a bird would make from grasses and such, cuter than it sounds?
Jump cut from young child to high school, now in the city, with only the aunt and me.
I was unaware of my peculiar origins and inhumane heritage for the most part, most likely repressed memories.
The knowledge that my mother had passed away while I was small was there, that my aunt took me in.
Trying to adapt to a new town and school was hard enough without having to deal with that.
Eventually something odd happened to make the aunt seem even more distant than she had already been.
Some group, a government agency contacted us, she seemed beside herself before telling me to follow her.
She lead me to what I thought was an unused room where she then sat me down and did some show & tell.
Memories came flooding back as scenes playing out, the final one being still as a child with the aunt
telling me how sorry she was, over and over, that mama was gone now...
Everything stopped, as if time slowed while I processes the information, looked at her as to say "what did you do?..".
She didn't meet my stare, gears started to turn in my head before something came crashing in the wall.
Some kind of robot looking thing, it the panic it grabbed me and took off at speed, interrupting a very important moment.
I struggled and resisted best I could, the pilot of said mechanoid thing put a squeeze on me, resulting
in something cutting into me and causing me to bleed, seemingly minor it still did something.
The machine started to act erratically as the pilot fought the controls, until finally it started to morph and killed them.
It was still going berserk, running as I lay there helpless in it's grasp until it started consuming me or at least pulling me into itself.
Fade to black and I wake up in bed, half asleep with possible reasons and conclusions to an unfinished dream playing out as half day dreams.
As best as I can piece together from said visions, it seemed everything was more or less peaceful until the aunt learnt something.
Like she was contacted by the same agency and told how her brother died, that it was the dragons doing. (I really don't think it was)
She betrays the dragon, somehow organizing a trap with the group, mother disappears and she raises the child
having either not told them about him/me being her child not the dragons or that I didn't even exist.
(Maybe it was more that I didn't show any signs of having inherited anything from the dragon blood?)
I get the feeling the aunt was told that they had killed the dragon, as it was too great a threat to let it live.
The "thing" that abducted me was seemed very Eva (Neon Genesis Evangelion) like as some biochemical weapon,
if I had to guess it was created from studying the dragon, especially with how it went berserk after contacting my blood?
The optimist in me wants to think that the mother was captured not killed, and that they were using her in experiments.
That's my interpretation of the matter anyway, an odd and honestly sad dream, though sweet in spots.
Does kind of feel like a plot to some anime though doesn't it, some MIB group with fantasy stuff like magic and dragons.

Posted 6 years agoHad a short dream about perfect VR.
Kind of thing where your mind is basically digitized so you get full input rather than waving around remotes with a headset on.
I think I was supposed to have only recently started using it, given that I kept finding some levels of it odd.
I won a contest in game that was about building some kind of maze or trap for people to find their way out of, based on how long
it took them to escape or if they even did before the time was up. It was all built LEGO style for some reason.
One of the prizes I won was a bottle of bubble bath, which I audibly questioned the point of since it's a game, why bath virtually?
Later on after having played for some time and gotten to know people, the level of frivolity started to make sense.
Specifically when realizing that of course there might be people using the system who otherwise can't do many things,
in the case of those who are bedridden or blind or deaf etc who while using something that taps into your brain could now do those things.
It was an odd yet "normal" kind of dream, nothing huge and dramatic but still an interesting experience all the same.
I do remember some drama with an in game girlfriend or wife kind of mechanic like some online games have.
Specifically it was an argument over having met and spoken with a Admin who turned out to be their brother they didn't get along with.

Posted 6 years agoHad a dream that was... Weird I want to say, wasn't a terribly pleasant dream at least all things considered.
The dream started with me as a toddler having ended up on some island, hopefully lost after what I assume was an accident at sea.
Was quickly found by the inhabitants who turned out to be some kind of mermaid/elf type of beings surviving as a pocket population undiscovered by man.
I was taken in by a family consisting of a mother and daughter, the daughter being older than me and more a big sister type role.
Life happened as time progressed, nothing terribly interesting and was really just a flash or images like a montage for me.
Then I was about 10 or so, still struggling as the only human on the island, mainly dealing with vague memories of home.
I had a crush of sorts on the daughter now, she was in her teens by my best estimation.
There was some plot uncovered of a group or cult having abducted people, one way or another I ended up finding and releasing them including my foster family.
I remember specifically going in for a hug and calling her mom for the first time since realizing my position in things, it was touching.
More life montage happened, now I was a tween or maybe 12. The crush was stronger than before but that ended up not mattering.
There was a short scene of the daughter finding something I had drawn that made her realize I had ended up feeling things about her.
In any case, the mother seemed to have sold me out (figuratively sold, more betrayed) to some group.
I was either dead or locked up and horribly withered, the scene moved to the mother and daughter.
The two were standing there, the mother with a blank expression, the daughter with a look of disdain.
The daughter turned to the mother and said "He trusted you, he called you mom..." and then walked away with disgust.
Then the mothers face filled with the look of gradual realization, an emotional scene.
Fade to black and I was awake in bed... WTF brain, I appreciate story arc dreams with a beginning/middle/end, but WTF?

Posted 6 years agoHad an episodic dream that kept coming back throughout the night, was about being a kid and there being some kind of "darkness".
The kind of thing where lights are the only thing that keeps some creeping supernatural darkness away, and if it encroaches too much then "things" come with it.
It was like a mix between a thriller/horror survival kind of atmosphere and experience, kept having it in parts throughout the night.
Really nerve racking type stuff like trying to stay in light or attempting to escape when caught, the shit that makes you anxious as fuck.
There were mixed dreams in between those segments that I don't fully recall.
Everything came to a close with the last segment being me slightly older in maybe middle school, my exposure to the "darkness" having
given me heightened senses to the point of being able to see the unseen such as ghosts.
That part felt less horror/survival and more like a paranormal detective kind of thing with me trying to solve problems for both humans and spirits.
I remember a cute girl spirit, something about a kiss on the cheek making me flustered.
I also recall a boy who had some spirit latching onto him and causing him problems because of it.
The spirit was also a boy of about the same age, wearing an older fashioned set of clothes and had white/grey hair.
I got them to let go of the boy and spoke with them, I can't say for certain if it was that they didn't understand they were dead or just that they couldn't be seen/heard.
Then I woke up in bed at like 3:30 PM, I always sleep in super late when I have weird/long dreams like that, like my brain's going "then what happened!?".

Dream Diary, March 1st 2019.
Posted 6 years agoHad a dream where a line of toys designed to be aliens turned out to have actual aliens hiding amongst them trying to find specific match humans.
I was a teenager going through some old boxes after moving back into an old family home I had grown up in, stuff like old VHS tapes and toys and such.
Specifically there was this small set of toys with alien superhero type characters and this big red crystal thing that part of the set.
I ended up setting them aside because I sort of/sort of didn't remember them and thought they might be worth something, then put on an old VHS to watch.
There was a time skip from afternoon to early evening as it got dark outside, just as I went to turn off a light I noticed a glow from something.
It was coming from the red crystal thing which surprised me, thought maybe it was glow in the dark or something like that and went to bed.
I forget if I woke up in the night or if it was in the morning, but I awoke to the toys I had left out now being different than before.
They were no longer toy sized and instead closer to human, they were also obviously not toys by this point as they began speaking to me.
They were from some far off alien world that had been conquered by another alien force that used some sort of mutation/infection to control people.
They came to Earth in order to find a group of very specific humans though they didn't know who, they had some kind of alien tech that was supposed
to choose a host and act like some kind of super suit that would allow them to fight the other invading force that was now on it's way to Earth.
As it would turn out, I was one of said chosen hosts but that they waited as they wanted me to be as physically mature as possible for what was to come.
The symbiote like tech suit morphed around me and turned into an almost IronMan like suit, super strong and super tough is how it seemed.
Two of my neighbors ended up being the other members of the group of hosts they were looking for, sort of Power Rangers thing were teens save the world.
Eventually a human scientist showed up looking for the source of bizarre readings and began stalking us as we kept trying to avoid them and being discovered.
It turned out they weren't simply some government agent but instead a private individual who wanted the source of the power readings for his own schemes.
At some point I remember calling the cops and reporting him as a creep who was following me and my friends around, that got him off our backs for a little bit.
Things ended up escalating when it turned out the alien invader had made contact with the scientist and made a deal, he gets the power source so long as he doesn't interfere.
The evil alien eventually showed up and had already begun to trick people into taking his "gift" unaware it would corrupt and control them, saying it was a miracle cure or such.
Battle ensued and in the end we seemed to have won, the scientist was either dead or in jail and the invader had retreated, something they'd never done before.
There was another time skip with things having calmed down, we were on a road trip taking in the sights when suddenly I saw an odd cloud only realize it was a mushroom cloud...
(Out of the pan and into the fire as they say, I'm really upset with my brain to say the least, a nice saving the world dream turning into nuclear terror.)
The only thing we could do was to keep driving with the hop of finding somewhere to take shelter when an emergency broadcast played on the radio.
People in the immediate area were being instructed to head towards an old cold war shelter that had been built in a subway/train tunnel.
We booked it as best we could and arrived to see a lot of people waiting to get in, there were medics handing out anti-radiation medication.
The point was that our direct area hadn't been hit yet with the mushroom clouds being far off, but that soon changed and it became a mad dash into the tunnel.
We were loaded onto a train car and hurried down the tunnel and into the shelter, just when we were starting to be able catch our breath we realized something.
The entrance of the shelter was terribly quiet with no one to usher us in further, we ended up taking the lead and walking further in only to discover bodies.
There were signs of the invaders corruption on some of them, then there was a panic as people popped out along with gas and needles.
I put up my suit as best I could but the others didn't make it, it quickly became a matter of survival as most of the people seeking shelter turned along with my friends...
I remember a lot of punching and kicking, people being knocked into walls and doors like rag-dolls, the growing panic of being "alone" in a vault with fallout above.
Thoughts of how the invader must of done this as one last "fuck you" to our planet for resisting him, it was terrible... And then I woke up.

Dream Diary, February 8th 2019.
Posted 6 years agoI had a dream that was very much like the manga/anime "Gate: Thus the Japanese Self-Defense Force Fought There" though still different.
Standard medieval fantasy type setting with other races and magic and monsters etc.
I was somehow involved with the military as either low ranking soldier/officer or even just a reserve member.
Somehow I was pulled into another world by myself with limited gear and my personal civilian vehicle, a van.
Once I realized what the situation was like I ditched/hid the van in a remote location along with most of my
stuff that would stand out horribly and attempted to infiltrate the local population of a nearby village as a traveler.
Things were quiet yet depressing for the most part as time passed, it felt like a rather long time, several months to half a year at least.
I had started to gain the trust of a small circle of people who were more curious than they were cautious of me, that was nice.
It was never made clear how but eventually more people showed up having somehow discovered or created a stable path between worlds.
Time skipped forward a little bit, maybe a month if that and I had been relieved of my position but kept on location as I knew people and places.
At first it felt like I was going to be swept under the rug so to speak and either never see this place again or simply never be seen again.
Thankfully my superiors must of figured I would be more use out and about in this new world than a cell or facility, they gave me a sort of
scouting party like position as well as some new training and of course new gear.
I specifically remember having an SMG and a pistol as my personal load-out, I also remember having to keep curious hands away from them.
That took some more time skipping and by the time I was heading out with a vehicle and small team comprised of personnel and my small circle
of trusted friends I had made there, I started to notice that our forces had expanded out a bit and been building fortifications as well as just
newer buildings and the like in the nearby area, attempting to modernize and win over the locals it seemed.
We started with a relatively close location that was still under the influence of our forces or at least knew what was going on.
I can't help but feel some really heavy shit went down during the grab for territory since a number of people avoided us and one younger
individual actually tried to harm me, they were a young'ish girl maybe 12 or in that range, they tried to bite my arm of all things.
I was trying to not actually hurt them but hold them back when who I assume was the mother ran over grabbing the girl and apologizing.
I woke up not long after that, in retrospect it kind of made me think something like in the actual series must of happened with a local militia
having tried to push back the "invaders" but got whipped out as a result, so the families and friends of said dead militia were less than happy.
Oh, and when I say "our forces" I'm Canadian for reference.

Posted 7 years agoFirst memorable dream of the the new year was... Halloween themed XD I know it's my favorite time of the year but really brain?
It was relatively short in retrospect.
It started fairly normal with costume prep and other sorts of things as one would.
Then at some point things shifted into a "monsters are real" scenario on Halloween night.
I don't know if mankind fell to them as a whole or if me and some folks were taken captive.
There was a good sized chunk of some city now being run by them though so perhaps the former.
I and another were "lucky" in that the ones who took us into their possession weren't just monsters
but some level of demons, who specifically sustained themselves on life energy rather than eating us traditionally.
The end result was the same but we weren't going to be cooked or eaten alive or anything like that at least.
Rather than all at once it seemed like they were being smart about it and only taking what they needed at the time.
It felt like a good bit of time was passing as it seemed like we were almost starting to get used to each other in a way.
One day I realized that the other human who has been taken along with me had been abducted by other creatures.
The demons were unmotivated or apathetic about it at first, but it felt like I was getting through to them
when I explained it more like someone had insulted them by stealing prey from them.
They also seemed at least a little responsive since the two of use had excepted our fate and cooperated with them.
There may have also been a lady demon I thought was kind of pretty, not sure if that was at all mutual.

Posted 7 years agoHad a post-apocalypse or least far along dystopian dream.
Was sort of like Fallout but not quite as horrible, there were still mutations and radioactive problems, but more greenery.
I recall that I specifically said at one point "don't look at me, I just woke up after 100 years as an ice cube!" when being questioned.
There were raiders of course but also slightly less crazed types who were mainly trying to live free, that and a faction I fell into
that was basically the closest thing to civilization since they had trade and safe locations set up.
There was a woman who seemed to have been the one that found me and was now getting me caught up so I could help them.
I recall modern weapons and vehicles still being around albeit a little Mad Max in condition, also city ruins and overgrowth.
Something about... Monsters? It starts to get a little fuzzy closer to when the dream ended and I woke up.
I think it was sort of like the Metro series in a lot of ways, but again fuzzy.

Forgot to write down a brief dream I had the other night that involved finding and handling a strange object.
It was shaped like knife a handle with a slight animal theme/motif or at least a very rounded and organic design.
It was warm to the touch and smooth as polished marble, but translucent and shimmering like some kind
of iridescent crystal and weighed a ludicrous amount despite it's small size (felt like 25 lbs at least).
Just now when I tried looking up how iridescent was spelt and it's dictionary meaning, I was linked to
"iridescent crystal" which showed basically what I recalled from the dream, oddly or maybe fittingly
enough the type of crystal was a lead type, funny considering the weight in the dream.

But also just woke up from a long'ish feeling dream that was like cross between Futurama and the anime/manga Hyper Police for plot.
At some point I had been frozen but only for about 20-50 years it seemed, in that time Earth had made contact with alien life and
now had access to advanced technology the likes of which had only been seen in works of science-fiction such as perfect gene modding
or true cybernetics and bionics with extreme capabilities as well other things like clean and efficient power or nano technology.
When I was found and woken up humans had become a minority in terms of global population though it was never fully explained why.
It might have been a war against aliens and those who welcomed them or just the gene pool becoming more diverse.
I remember a lot of people who looked almost human but had other features or were otherwise alien in origin.
There were a couple people I still knew who had either lived long or modified themselves to extend their lives and youth.
I recall some cyber-punk like stuff where it's so sci-fi it's almost fantasy like technomancy or vampire like beings etc.
There was one girl in particular who was some sort of tiger type humanoid, full or partial though the dream was a little "fuzzy"
no pun intended, she might have some shifting ability even like a werewolf except I believe a vampire...
She was cuddly when not trying to bite at least, especially after I inadvertently help to stop a drug trade that was messing with her kind.
There was a funnier scene closer to the end of the dream with me looking for a bathroom, panicking seeing two doors but the signs were both
odd and left me guessing, then I noticed in fine print underneath the signs what I could make out as which was which.
A less funny scene was walking down what used to be a familiar street with a couple new friends including tiger girl and realizing we or rather I
was being followed by some kind of headhunter on an Akira like motorcycle, we ran and it turned into a chase followed by a fight where
I was mostly just being protected which was an odd experience for me both in and out of dreams, usually I'm fine to fend for myself in either.
The dream ended and I woke up during the standoff after the attacked was disarmed and about to fight my tiger waifu...
It feels like the dream was supposed to take place over a span of time, I clearly recall more summer like weather but the end scene was in winter.

Posted 7 years agoHad another dream about a magic academy of sorts, pretty standard fair for the most part.
I was someone who did have much experience with magic but had some talent for it, no formal education in it.
There were of course the types who thought I didn't belong there but would eventually get fed their words.
I remember living away from the school in some cabin with my mentor who was kind of magic user.
They could teach me a lot of things but my fundamentals were shite hence the school being needed, also social stuff.
I recall a specific trick he (it was a man) would use on people that came to bother him or us, he wore a hooded robe
normally and would have the hood up and suddenly use a spell that made him look like a skeleton and scare them off.
Thinking about it now he might have actually been a litch who used magic to look human most of the time?
I mainly wonder that as there was also a scene of him using some kind of acid spell to dissolve/melt something
coupled with the transformation in order to intimidate someone that had come by to harass us.
There was a lot more school stuff after that so part of thinks maybe I started living in a dorm?
All in all another random dream about some fantasy setting, I'll take these over zombie dreams any day.

Posted 7 years agoHo boy did I have a dream, I hope to god I can recall it enough to write down that it isn't super vague.
To start with it was sci-fi, like "we built a fusion reactor so efficient it only had to be at 50% to supply enough power for effectively the planet" level of science fiction.
Aside from that part of exposition the day to day life cycle was pretty normal with sci-fi spices sprinkled here and there throughout.
That is until some kind of space terror(ist) being showed up that could both infect and corrupt most technology or the like, but also control people all hive mind like.
(Though maybe it was just futuristic enough where most people had cybernetics like in Ghost In The Shell so it was able to control them that way, my brain didn't make it clear?)
It was a gross level of infection with weird colouration, bulges, and veiny stuff both on the tech it would infect and the people it was controlling.
I was running through the city just trying to survive, I realized at some point it could infect tech so I was avoiding it much as possible.
For some reason I was armed with a weird breach loading pistol that was like a cross between a black powder gun and a rail gun for how it shot and sounded.
(Something like the Caster gun from the anime Outlaw Star if you have or haven't seen that, it's easy enough to find an image on Google.)
I was trying to get to a man made island connected to the city by bridge, I made it just in time as part of the bridge was either destroyed or lowered into the water.
The reason being that someone had figured out that creature and it's infection couldn't stand contact with salt water, so we were mostly safe there.
What was left of the police had also gathered there and were on a "shoot on sight" mind set if any air or water craft tried to reach the island to hold quarantine.
The island itself was home to the reactor or at least one if it's global monitoring/control stations, the space entity wanted to use it to make the fusion reactor go out of control
and destroy the planet like a miniature sun, that or it would dry up all the water and the thing could spread as it pleased making use of the planet and the other resources?
The point is we would all die if it did that, we were all but safe until it turned out someones private communicator or device had been infected without the obvious signs.
Suddenly the ground shook as a giant worm like thing made of tech and that weird infection came up, it had either used underwater cables or simply tunneled.
(I think it probably used the device more as a way to quickly infect other things and people rather than a way onto the island or signal since it could clearly do that already?)
It kind of looked like a cross between a classical giant worm from fantasy (long worm like thing with big sharp mouth) and the tongue of a Graboid from the Tremors franchise, except metal and stuff.
I was running to the top of the tower to try and either cut the controls or just keep it from making the reactor go out of control. (Of course it was at the TOP of the tower, stupid cliches...)
Closer to the end of it all I was given some kind of weird ammo for my pistol that looked sort of like liquid jell cap medicine but glowing, I was told they were experimental and very dangerous
so naturally I found an opening in the tower and shot at the giant worm only to see the shot gouge out a huge part of the worm revealing a bright core of some kind.
I lined things up and shot again only this time at the now visible red core, it struck if only just barely and it shattered, the worm fell apart and people started coming to their senses.
(1 Of course it had a core, even if that seems stupid for a hive mind thing to show up in person. 2 Not everyone was okay, only those who recently turned it seemed, others even jumped to their deaths...)
The reactor had been effected and was going out of control as the creature planned (maybe it's dying wish/effort had broken the security in place?) and we were running out of time.
As I continued to the control room I woke up, because my neighbor wanted to test their snowblower early this year... For once it felt like I was going to have a conclusion in my dream
but no, here I am only able to guess what would have happened...
That turned out detailed enough I think, not "super vague" as my half asleep self worried it would be when I started writing this down at least.
In hindsight, it was kind of like a mashup of a bunch of different sci-fi anime and movie plots I've seen over the years.
I can see clear influences from Tremors for the worm at the end, and the tech infection thing is right out of "Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040" SPOILERS for a 20 year old anime.
There was some obvious Ghost In The Shell level stuff too, probably others as well like the reactor island though that's been done to death anyway so hard to pin it down.
Maybe like an Arc Reactor kind of deal from Iron Man, or at least the anime adaptation which I think did have a tower reactor island?
And of course the Caster gun from Outlaw Star, easily the oldest of the influences by my perspective in terms of when I first saw them.

Posted 7 years agoHad a sci-fi dream about space and warp gates, the craft that myself and others were using were all based off of classic cars for some reason, style I guess?
Something about flying passed the moon and there being hostile aliens now living on it, when we got to the gate only one of them was still working with the others
covered in what was either alien eggs or some crystalline structure (it went by fast) and then we went through the only still working gate like something out of Stargate.
The transition from a first person perspective was like a cross between moving through brightly lit water/jelly with a TV static like effect over everything, when it was
done we were in some kind of star port or station like structure, there were different kinds of aliens all around with some being mostly human looking either because
they were or had interbred with us at some point. It was a lot more vague after that with trying to settle down or figure things out as one might.
In hindsight the station sort of had a mall kind of look as well, maybe a large combination of buildings which kind of makes sense if it's some travel hub.
EDIT: No wait, shit... I just remembered there was more, I thought they were separate dreams or something. (this is maybe two minutes after writing the first bit down)
My cat was being a little monster just now and telling her stop while petting her reminded me.
I recall more settled and civilization type stuff, a neighborhood or apartment complex seems like the best way to describe it?
There was this alien father with a... Child I think, that or a pet? It was small and cute but intelligent like a person, I recall hearing "papa".
When held they would occasionally try to nibble on fingers and things, mostly harmless but still a "Ah!... No, bad!" kind of behavior.
They were truly adorable, but it's hard to describe their shape or form now that I'm conscious... Maybe humanoid, or sort of?
Four limbs at least, maybe a tail, the limbs were more like a human or primate rather than a quadruped in terms of flexibility or dexterity.
I can't remember if they were smooth skinned or fluffy or had scales though, I think I was holding them in a blanket like you would an infant at times?
In either case, it was a matter of having already settled into the area and lived there for a while, considering the father asked me to watch them.
I don't know why but I think there was a distance between the two, while looking after them (her?) there were moments of pity or empathy towards
the little one as well as awkwardness about them treating me warmly and I think calling my papa at one point?
I remember interactions with other neighbors and parents and children, there was a species who had perpetual baby face/head and were curious/confused
by human babies as they looked weirdly alike. I'm not sure now if it was a matter of being asked to look after them, or having to like they had no one else?

Had a dream I suddenly got turned into a girl, so that was odd... I've had one or two of those over the years ever since I had one back in high school along the lines of "what would I have looked like if I'd been born a girl?".
I remember specifically it was something like "Huh, but I can turn back right?.. I can? Okay cool, guess I could stay like this for a bit and try it out." so at least it wasn't a panic kind of thing.
September 25th
Had a dream that was sci-fi space travel age stuff, about being out there somewhere among alien society where humans are part of the slave trade...
I recall something about making a break for it with the help of another, fighting back with alien weapons and tech.
It all kind of mixed together, but thankfully was pretty straight forward in terms of if you try to imagine what it was like, that's what it was like.
There are a couple bits that stand out, like a bounty hunter guy with cybernetics that was chasing me down, one of the people that
helped me most was a woman with a red jacket and hooded outfit, a moment in a street with police or the like around doing inspections.

Posted 7 years agoHad a dream that was essentially "suddenly, you're in another world" and that other world was... Animal people.
I wasn't myself but a specific character made by the dream, don't recall details other than being a high school age guy.
Thankfully rather than winding up in a government lab for "study" I was instead placed into a school environment in the form of a
government run school made for the families of government staff and personnel so the security was top notch as were the teachers.
The reason being that they could still study me but in a more humane way than in a lab, I guess at least.
I mean, both peoples being humanoid with advanced intelligence, clothes, tools, etc.
I recall some generic "new kid on the block" type stuff which would be obvious happening for sure, multiplied by my circumstances.
The dream itself wasn't very long or at least didn't feel like it, a lot happened quickly and much of it was very cliche.
Sometimes I'm amused by the way my brain tries to build an at least somewhat believable base for something like that.
Not just someone who manages to hide from the government or is just immediately accepted.
I'm not 100% sure but I have some recollection of the first person I encountered being a fox woman in the woods,
a mother out collecting ingredients or hunting I think.

Posted 7 years agoIt's been a while, since I last wrote here~ ♪
Seriously though, it's been quite some time, I've been sleeping terribly for a while now and haven't been dreaming well as a result, even when I remember a dream it's either not worth writing down or I'm too exhausted to.
The irony is that before falling asleep, I was thinking to myself that it was starting to weigh on me since I used to sleep and dream so much, guess my brain was listening?
Just woke up from what felt like a long dream about being in a dream realm (that takes me back, been some time since I last had a weird one like that), the kind of place or space that minds go to
when they sleep type of deal you know? In this case it was a place that all sapient beings travel to while they sleep or whatever the equivalence would be for them.
As an example, I encountered lizard people from a distant star system as well as robot or machine beings just to name two (there was a LOT going on in the background @ w @).
It all started out harmless enough with realizing I wasn't just dreaming but had somehow gained access to a higher plain of thought or the like.
Quickly escalating into the realization that it wasn't just human life but all sentient/sapient beings so there were alien beings there as well.
I remember some species of humanoid lizard or reptilian people being the first I took note of as being truly alien, but there were others.
There were machine beings something akin to Transformers or the like, I recall something like grey skinned elves or half elf looking beings.
Honestly there was just so much going on that only some of it stands out to me now even though I can recall vaguely that there was much more.
The place itself wasn't like a free flowing dreamland that everyone could change at a moments notice, it functioned more like reality where things still
needed to be invented and built by those that came there, and example I can recall being technology and architecture familiar to Earth that had only been there for a little while.
There was of course stuff very unfamiliar to me such as sprawling cities and space ship like things filled with alien beings and designs alike, white metal/stone like structure work
with gold highlights or maybe even the other way around, things that sometimes felt both fantasy and sci-fi or something else all together.
I made a small group of friends who were all from different civilizations and worlds, they showed me around for a while as it seemed like I was one of the first Earthlings to enter the place.
After what felt like a good long while of exploring and running around with everyone things escalated further when some kind of event took place to decide or choose a being
who was to be an idol like or Messiah like entity/personality who would not so much rule (there was a royal family already which was weird, the grey elves) as they would simply lead
in a spiritual sense or otherwise be a beacon to those who had reached this place, if that makes any sense?
The reason things escalated (and you could probably see this coming from a mile away unlike me at the time) was that the one chosen for this role, was none other than myself...
At first I was just confused since none of the above had been explained to me yet (that came later), then I was honored, but then I was crushed by a choice.
The choice being not so much a choice (you don't really turn down this role) in terms of whether to take it, but rather how to cope with it.
They told me that I could now no longer return to my waking home, that I was to be in this place for all time to come until a new beacon was chosen, whenever that would be...
I was torn between wanting to embrace it (I've been training all my life with these dreams!) and feeling the hopelessly soul crushing weight of knowing I would never again
see my home or loved ones, the culture of this place that grown over gods know how long didn't seem able to understand my plight, neither did my new found friends.
I was upset to say the least, to the point of questioning why I'd ever thought of them as friends, it hurt us both for me to say it out loud.
We broke up after that and I was being shown around more, rather than the tourist like treatment before I was now being shown things with purpose and security access levels.
The royals in charge who seemed to be these grey'ish skinned elves or half elf like beings with blonde hair and gold eyes (and even more gold jewelry) were confused as to why
I was so hesitant to take up the mantel (I think they were already permanent residents and had been for some time) even when I described why.
In the end I didn't have much of a choice and instead tried to embrace it as best I could while indulging in the new and unfamiliar as I tried to forget what I'd left behind...
I remember getting the real deal star treatment type stuff, not so much a living god as some kind of holy symbol like a pope or the like?
It seemed that unlike most of those that only temporarily travel to that place, I and the other permanent residents could shape the space to an extent.
I should clarify that this wasn't just one big world that somehow magically fit everything in it, it was like it's own planetary system connected by gates or the like
that these dreaming being inhabited at one time or another, it was absurd to me at the time and even now thinking back as a dream, it's really out there...
I remember visiting a much more medieval like area though still with sci-fi elements, I ended up making a suit of armour for myself that was chrome or mirror polished
steel like metal with white and red trim or cloth for a tunic, specifically that I made a red maple leaf on the chest.
I then conjured up a horse with barding (mount armour for those not familiar with the term) and rode around on that for a while instead of walking everywhere, the
other beings inhabiting that place seemed surprised by it, like they had never seen a horse before which thinking back would be likely for alien life.
This sort of thing carried on for quite some time until a time skip came along to bring my perspective to a later point in time.
I had grown tired of and uncaring for my new position despite it's perks, I still loved my life and home and wanted to at least be able to visit it, it made no sense to me.
Why did I have to stay there, why couldn't I just come and go, why did they need someone like me or even a symbol like that at all for such a place?
Eventually I became toxic to those around me, whether it was my being upset with how I'd been roped into this whole thing or maybe even being a little drunk on power.
I went on a joy ride of sorts which ended with some things I'm honestly ashamed to think I did even in a dream where I was at the breaking point, nothing war crime like
or "you're going to hell" kind of stuff, but I feel bad thinking about how I acted and treated some...
Things were reaching a boiling point when my group of "friends" showed up again, they wanted to help me find a way home after having time to think about how I'd felt.
Maybe they'd just been caught up in the moment knowing how great an honor it was while I didn't, or maybe they realized how much they'd miss they're homes.
In either case, a long'ish chain of events unfolded with use sneaking off and trying to use some kind of ancient system that had some level of control over this realm.
We spent a lot of time trying to get to it only to find it damaged beyond use, my first concern was if my outburst had caused it but now I wonder if it wasn't sabotage?
We learned of some legend or prophecy about being able to force yourself back to your body if you became locked here, a manual override as it were maybe?
We kept going and going and going for what felt like a very long time, sneaking, chases, and otherwise weird events all in order to reach this place or state.
In the end, it seemed we found it, I still don't know or perhaps don't want to know what the aftermath would be for such a place or the cost...
My group of friends huddles near me, seemingly channeling some kind of energy native to this plain of existence.
Slowly they faded out one after the other and I too felt hazy, until finally only a couple were left.
We got close and held hands, shaking, I was crying, relief or grief for everything, for now loosing such great friends.
Then I woke up in bed... At least my terrible sleep hasn't completely impacted my ability to have absurd dreams, right?

*Dusts the cobwebs off* Wow okay so *cough* it's been longer than I thought, admittedly I've probably slacked off on bothering to write one down rather than having none to write down.
Had a dream with spirits and the like being real in modern day, I feel like there was a girl who was either a generic magic-girl type or slightly more a Cardcaptor Sakura reference.
The main thing I remember is having wings on my back angel or tengu style, I think they were dark wings but not 100% sure.
I just remember flying at times in the dream, catching air currents and up drafts, felt very free.
Hadn't had a dream like that in a while, flying with wings in a descriptive manor more than anything.
I had been thinking about a character like that lately so that's probably why.
April 5th:
Had another wing dream, this time it was a "mutant bugs invade" kind of thing, still modern day, this time I had white wings.
Lots of gunfire and tanks and missiles and that sort of stuff, and the trying to survive the aftermath parts.
Closer to the end of the dream I was navigating some ruins of a city that remind me now of Boston in Fallout 4 but more overgrowth.

It's been a while since I (or anyone else apparently?) posted here, just wasn't having memorable dreams, specifically nothing long enough to really warrant writing down.
Just woke up from a long dream about being thrown into a Fallout like future, I even saw some familiar creatures and elements found in the series.
Rather than being born into such a world or waking up after being frozen however, I along with my father instead were somehow dropped
into that kind of post-apocalyptic world sort of like in Evil Dead: Army of Darkness where he just lands on the ground with his car.
We also had a car, but the place we landed was less than groovy however.
I specifically landed in a nightmarish filter pond full of red water and gunk while my father and the car fell nearby.
It was beyond disgusting and after the initial confusion we were greeted by people living out of rusted metal shacks...
They were, understandably just as confused by our arrival as we were, once it was clear we meant no harm
however they just sort of excepted our being there.
We hung around for a while trying to make sense of things, helped as best we could while they helped us back.
After a while of sitting around and trying to decide what we would do, we got the car running again and headed out.
I remember driving through overgrown streets while making our way out of town, starting to wonder things.
We were rolling up to what looked like an old military checkpoint manned by Mr Gutsy robots, I told my father
to slow down and stop so they wouldn't think we were hostile but then some creatures and Supermutants attacked
so he instead kept going and swerved around around them nearly hitting a Mr Gutsy.
While we were leaving the battle-zone a stray bullet grazed the hood of the car and I heard what sounded like
a Sentry bot doing a weird countdown, we heard an explosion after we'd driven a bit further.
We drove for what felt like hours, I must of dozed off at one point because when I came to it was nearing sun set.
For just a moment after waking up I saw what looked like a normal road with other cars driving on it, then after
my brain caught up I realized that couldn't be right, not anymore at least, after blinking I saw what was really there.
It was still a road with cars, but the road was worn and cracked, the cars were rusted and wrecked hulks.
The trees that had been lining the road before were now overgrown, I could see huge trees further back.
I started to wonder just how long it had been, how far we had been thrown into the future.
It was starting to get dark so we pulled off the road into what looked like an old tech park of sorts.
There were homes and larger buildings that looked a bit more livable than the shacks we'd seen before.
I noticed what looked like a mechanic garage that almost looked usable when we heard someone call out.
We stopped immediately, it sounded like a woman, I got out of the car with a baseball bat and called back.
There were more voices calling for help, as I came closer I saw what looked like small green mutants holding
a group of people hostage, as I ran at one with my bat the others turned to look and were then taken from
behind by the others.
After they were safe we started talking, they'd found this place pretty well preserved and had been fixing it up.
It was all a breath of fresh air after what happened, falling into a swamp, living in a scrap shack.
These people seemed about as close to what we'd been looking for as we were going to find, save for
running into other people from our time that somehow got here.
I remember feeling relief, feeling like things were going to be okay, if only a little bit.
Then, I woke up.
And hey, first recorded dream of 2018.
January 13th:
Had a dream I was some kind of monster/demon/ghost hunter sort, very "Supernatural" like but sort crossed with "Blade" as I wore a leather coat and carried a sword and gun.
I did also have some form of magic or power, aside from able to see the spiritual beings others couldn't there were times where I'd raise my hand and shout
"Raven Bolt!" and fire off some kind of spectral energy shot that I only ever seemed to use against spirits, so I assume that's what it was meant for.
It didn't really seem to interact with the physical or living world, it would pass through things that weren't in some way already dead.
I never actually used the gun but I would imagine it had silver bullets or something that made it special, the sword seemed normal if not well made.
I get the feeling the character I was in the dream had some nonhuman blood in him, aside from the magic he was a bit pale as well.
Maybe some kind of being associated with death like a reaper or the like was an ancestor or even parent, that's how it feels anyway.
I remember I was doing some kind of job, heading towards a town or the like.
I was driving with others, friends or associates who also did this kind of work, it was night time.
I felt something that something was coming, suddenly we swerved as a truck ahead of us stopped in the road like they'd hit the brake hard.
When we passed the truck and stopped to look back, there didn't seem to be anyone inside of it.
I saw something move near the road and directed the driver to follow, we chased whatever it was down a back-road.
We eventually lost sight of it but then realized we were approaching a town, maybe THE town but I'm not sure.
As we drove slowly along the street into town I noticed more spirits following us, they tried to latch onto the car
multiple times, each time being sent flying with a shout and a "Raven Bolt!" until they eventually gave up.
I recall being separated from the others while fighting something, using my sword and magic.
After a while things went quiet, too quiet (no puns intended), at least... For the world of the living.
I quickly realized I had somehow been forced over to the other side, not literally dead but had my entire
being forced over leaving nothing behind, It started to dawn on me that the spirits from earlier had
most likely been trying to stop and warn us not to venture into this place...
I saw someone that looked a bit like some kind of Grim Reaper but they vanished.
I wandered for a while, a mirror image of the living world, I ran into my group but they couldn't see or hear me.
I remember looking at one person in particular, a woman, I think I was supposed to be in love with her.
I stayed there with them, fighting off spirits they couldn't see (same old, same old) and trying to watch over them.
I ended up brushing into them, partly out of spacing out, partly wanting to try and touch them again.
My hand went through them but, they reacted to it, they even seemed to understand it was me...
Then I woke up.
January 18th:
Had a dream about washing up on an uncharted island and being the only human in sight, the other inhabitants were a plethora of
other races/species ranging from vampires to mermaids to centaurs to witches to elves and everything in between.
It was supposed to be some sort of hidden society type thing I guess, I recall something about a school like facility too.
There was an odd mix of relations like the usual "it's a human, get rid of them!" but then also those like the witches
and the like who are essentially humans with magic who more "well maybe give them a chance?".
Not being the typical "oh god monsters!" type of person but rather being open minded like "well, this is a thing."
really helped to not be singled out as the dangerous human threatening their well being and secrecy.
There was also the fact that I seemed to not be a completely normal human, as in possibly having some
kind of odd sense or abilities that made me seem at least a little more like them and less of an outsider.
I remember one character in particular that stood out, a woman.
She was either some kind of vampire or maybe a succubus or even a witch?
At one point she used some kind of blood magic and I think alchemy?
She either had dark red hair or black hair, I think maybe red clothes.
I think there was some kind of romance going on, flirting maybe?

Dream Dump, November 2017.
Posted 7 years agoNovember 8th:
Slept in today and realized why as soon as I woke up, I can remember about 3 distinct dreams I had over the course of the night and I guess early day.
1. Had a dream that I had somehow been frozen in an accident sort of like Captain America and then woken up/revived 80 to 100 years later, so I woke up in the future.
I remember being on a space station of some kind, that or a massive ship though a station makes more sense for the level of foot traffic seen.
There were people that were either aliens or humans that had gotten genetic modifications, I remember seeing random things from this time and early 20th.
I had my leather jacket which stood out to people, someone told me that those kinds of goods weren't really made anymore, all synthetic materials now.
There was the obvious struggle of trying to adapt to this new environment, trying to continue my life but in new ways, I recall eventually helping someone
that was a merchant of some sort in regards to "antiques" from closer to my time and further back which had always been a passion of mine so, win/win.
2. Had a dream that I was some kind of knight or otherwise warrior, there was this girl that I think was a princess, and a dragon trying to keep her.
I don't think the dream started out all "roawr I'ma eat yo face!" since I do recall some build up with the girl, but then things escalated to trying
to free her from the queen/dragon that was keeping her in this old castle, I was decked out in full armour and everything, trying to hide at times.
As this game of cat and mouse carried out the dragon was giving it's villainous monologue as I realized I couldn't outright defeat her and instead
was now focusing on hiding and sneaking further into the castle where it would be harder for her to follow so I could find the girl.
Eventually her monologue revealed something shocking, the girl was some kind of body double or otherwise clone the queen was trying to make.
Something about transferring her soul and magic into a new and younger vessel to extend her life, then she'd move on and conquer more lands.
The dream shifted perspective to the girl who was undergoing her own trials while attempting to escape the castle, all the while knowing her fate.
I remember now caring if she was made in some lab rather than born, we had gotten to know one another and that was all that mattered.
3. Had a dream that I was playing what seemed like a Fallout themed VR game, nothing that was expressly Fallout but close, also it looked like anime...
Pretty standard fare as far as dreams about about playing a VR game go, things were only loosely Fallout like though, it was more just a
post-apocalyptic setting that reminded me of Fallout, like instead of Diamond City there was a fenced off and barricaded baseball field.
I remember treating it as a game though rather than real life, thinking about loot and the like, skipping NPC dialogue and so on.
I saw some kind of robot fighting arena, and a bunch of ruins, hopping plat-former style across broken flooring and the like.
There was a point where I was walking along the cracked and broken up road, saw a crashed plane and could hear raiders talking.
The biggest difference from Fallout (aside from it looking like an anime style game) was that there was a LOT more overgrowth.
November 12th:
Had a short dream about being a teenager or something around there, walking around town one day and finding some kind of trash pile in the middle of nowhere.
Just as I was about to leave and call someone about it I spotted something in the pile, my curiosity getting the better of me and trying to pull it out.
By the end of it I'd fished out some kind of wreck of a motorcycle unlike anything I'd seen before, and decided to drag it home to my mechanic father.
It looked like an even more retro version of the red bike from Akira if that makes sense, like it had been designed in the 50's instead of the 80's.
Along the way I reached a dead end through some back streets where a gate was shut, an old man came out saying how he has to keep it shut
because kids keeps either cutting through his property as a shortcut or sneaking in to cause mischief, he trailed off when he saw the bike.
He looked like he'd seen a ghost or possibly even an old friend, the look he had was a mix of shock and relief.
He opened the gate and told me to come in, I explained where/how I found the bike (worried an adult would think I stole it) and he then
began to explain how he knew about the bike, it seemed he'd either raced it or helped build it, there were even some things scattered
around like parts, plaques, and even some trophies and old photos.
The dream ended shortly after that, felt like there was going to be some touching story about a group of friends building and racing
a bike all by themselves, I imagine something tragic must of them happened for it to be abandoned like that, maybe an accident.
November 27th:
I just woke up from a type of dream that I'm going to call "a legacy dream" from now on that was in and of itself referencing and continuing an older dream.
Specifically a dream I had years ago as a child, back when I wasn't used to having weird and detailed dreams and would sometimes be confused after.
When I was still little there were times when I'd have a really detailed dream and be convinced it hadn't been just a dream, I think most kids do.
The dream involved going to some out of the way place and finding a door or otherwise passage that took you to a seemingly alternate world.
A place full of people and things that made it feel like a living, breathing space and not just some dream until afterwards.
It was supposedly a place that existed between dreams and being awake, or between realities altogether.
The majority of the dream was me wandering around the place, seeing old and familiar things as well as new.
Meeting friends that were new and maybe even old, a lot more adult things since I'm older now.
I remembering waking up before the dream and seeing it being early still so I went back to sleep, that and when I woke up
leads me to believe the dream took place over the course a few hours at least, which it felt like honestly and would explain the wandering.
There was just... So, much, stuff! People and places and activities that I can't form it all together into one solid string of events.
The most prominent aspect of the whole thing was feeling and then knowing I'd been there before at some point in life, be it
the method in which I arrived or the vague concept of the place, down to the people I interacted with.
Of course there was a lot more adult content in this new dream playground then what I remembered *cough-cough*.
Over all it was an exciting dream/memory to revisit, and there was even a moment of goodbye near the end.
When time came to leave I and a number of others found ourselves on what seemed like a bus of sorts, or train maybe?
There was a stop indicator and we could see the world going by without the people outside seeming to notice us.
Varying places and times of day or altogether times in history or even other worlds honestly, there was someone in
the see ahead of me who was at least somewhere around my age, I ended up asking them about getting there.
Mentioning how this had been my second visit not since I was a kid, and was really curious if there was some trick to it
all while sitting my head on the top of the seat with my arms folded underneath my chin.
When he asked about my experience as a child I told him that after the first time, when I tried again I couldn't.
He asked when I tried or how often and I embarrassingly admitted "... the following day" like an impatient child.
He chuckled and then tried to explain that it was sort of beyond physical want or ability, just because you find
the spot you traveled there from doesn't mean you'd be able to the next day or any day.
He said it was more like keeping the spirit of a holiday in your heart all year round rather than just now or then.
As people were getting off the vehicle and chatting while they rode along I started to see my stop show up and then BAM, I was awake in bed.
This was a personally significant dream as I really do remember a similar dream from when I was a kid.
I used to have dreams about passages and doorways leading to other worlds and then the following day
I would try to look for them in the crawlspaces where they had been in the dream, when I was very little at least.
That obviously stopped when I got older and started to understand what dreams were, kind of like when you wake
up a child that's screaming and telling them it was a dream, that it wasn't real, if that makes sense?
But yeah, Legacy Dreams sounds like a good enough name for them as any, and I've had that before too.

Had a dream about being in a military school of some kind, things went about pretty smooth and normal for a while but then I started
to notice things that now make it obvious it wasn't set in our world such as strange creatures that were treated as being normal or
the fact that the school has along with it's normal equipment for training, giant robots of some kind...
The dream wasn't really short of anything but I can't think of much details to bring up as until the weird the creatures and robots
things were pretty standard with classes/drills and even the building and it's grounds looked normal enough as did out uniforms.
At one point there was a stampede of the creatures mentioned above, they were about the size of a large dog or pig maybe bigger.
They were a yellow/orange colour mostly and were kind of dinosaur like for features, some kind of cattle I think?
I was nearly trampled to death but just barely escaped serious injury, of the people that showed up to help was some kind of insectoid?
While recovering from soreness more than anything I remember being visited by a kind woman who was an instructor of some kind.
After I was up and walking around again without trouble things went about their normal business again for a while.
During some kind of break period or otherwise down time a bunch of use were gathered outside in the yard overlooking a harbor.
We seemed to be half hanging out and half seeing off an instructor who was leaving the school for whatever reason, an older guy.
While we were gathered there a commotion was heard behind us at the harbor area, after a moment of confusion we realized why.
A large ship was approaching at full speed, it looked like some kind of transport and had something large on it with a tarp covering it.
It failed to stop and crashed into the docks, even taking into account that a ship just crashed in a military port, something seemed wrong.
Just as people were starting to approach to see what happened (there was no radio contact before or after) the tarp started moving.
The next thing I saw was a large humanoid mech breaking free of restraints as it stood up, all the while letting out monstrous sounds.
Whatever it was something had gone horribly wrong and it was now out of control, some "things" started to also pour out of the ship.
We were being directed to take shelter while the faculty and senior students addressed the situation, even underground things sounded
too quite after a while... I remember fearing the worst and eventually started making my way to one of the bays where we kept our
own mechs, I never reached them while running through tunnels and hallways before I woke up.
Kind of feels like the intro to a battle anime where the main character saves either his school or himself while piloting some experimental
robot and then goes on to receive recognition for his abilities or whatever, I really hate it when my dreams have the build up but no payoff.

Posted 7 years agoSeptember 5th:
Had a short dream of being on some kind of excavation team in an old ruin someplace, there were a bunch of huge broken up "statues" and eventually
I stumbled across an intact one only to discover it was in fact, some kind of ancient robot suit.
I was sitting inside of it and was being put through some kind of start up sequence, it recognized me as someone called "Tohialla" or some such.
For whatever reason I could understand it and vice versa despite it being older than the English language by far.
Before that I recall having opened up some large set of stone doors after looking over a damaged console of some kind that I also
somehow understood, less like I could read the old script and more like "oh, this is the button" as if I'd done it before.
It was the same thing with the robot, I remember something about a swan symbol around the robot like it was important.
When it asked for a pass-code I tried a few different things after some failures, got it right with something along the lines of
"the swan has come home to roost" and then got the all green, the dream didn't last much longer than that.
I'm sure I remember something about an underwater segment of the ruins, and something about the government.
September 10th:
Had a really short dream about monstrous land crabs... Like a monster B movie.
I was back in school, high school probably, on the bus pulling up to school.
The bus suddenly stopped and when we looked ahead there were a bunch of these dog sized crabs
on the road and grounds of the school, the driver backed it up over another group of them and took off.
Shortly after pulling away we heard something and then saw a claw trying to get through the sheet metal
in the roof of the bus, just as the crab poked it's head inside one of the students pulled off a high kick
and punted it back onto the roof, we then heard it skip along and then saw it fall off through the back window.
While making our way down a side street we saw a dog running behind the bus so we slowed down and
opened the side door, the poor thing jumped right in and hid under a seat whimpering.
We took off again and had to drive through another patch of the crabs, this time one latched on and
was trying to come up through the floor, I had these heavy duty boots on for some reason so when it
started trying to poke it's head in I heel dropped it back out and onto the pavement.
The dream ended not long after that, which is nice, because those things were hideous...

Posted 7 years agoAugust 14th:
Had a super hero dream, it was never expressly said where we were in the world but I'm assuming Canadian.
I don't remember the other team members all that well except for myself (obviously) and a guy who had very early DBZ style powers.
He couldn't full on fly or anything though, he was like at the end of DB or early DBZ, he could move fast and use some energy though.
I was a were-tiger or the like, the main problem being that I kept power-cock-blocked and never having a reason to shift...
The biggest reason was on me of course in that I didn't want to destroy my uniform/outfit so I'd take certain parts off first and they'd be done.
Anyway the main plot of the dream was an environmental anomaly (#CanadianProblems) regarding a fresh water lake being more and more
thrown off balance and the wildlife paying the price, it involved a lot of capture and rescue of animals as well as trying to find the source.
Eventually we discovered not so much a villains scheme as simply some already wealthy douche trying to get richer...
He had bought land on an island community and was illegally mining for something, anything.
The issue being that it was mostly salt deposits and he didn't want/need it, but instead selling it (illegally) he was using a fishing boat
to dump the debris at night into the lake, either he didn't put two and two together or he didn't care about the ecosystem.
As you can imagine a fresh water lake becoming more and more salty would be bad for the things living in it that need fresh water...
I remember some kind of fight, and although I don't recall detail of "why" I'm assuming he hired someone with powers to guard him?
At one point the DBZ guy got flung into the distance and I was "well, you might of just killed a man." as a dust cloud was made,
then I could see him darting back in our direction via some kind of energy dash across the water and was like "not wait, he's fine".
If I'm recalling correctly then I think a third person on our team was a woman who, seemed to get her strength from exhibitionism
if what I can remember of her outfit was anything to go by, or if what little she wore could be called clothes...
Well okay to be fair, I'm not sure it was so much exhibitionism as care skin?
Like some weird catch to her powers that she could only use them the more skin she had showing,
if she went full nude she'd be golden age years Superman with lots of strength and jumping and speed and nigh invulnerable?
The main thing being that she would almost never go that far out of pride and embarrassment, outfit malfunctions help of course.
Anyway, as per the main description I was taking off my shoes and whatnot before going hulk aaaaaaaaaand then it was over...
There wasn't much after that aside from the moral message that we stopped it, but the damage was done and would take time to heal.
August 29th:
Had a dream about becoming stranded on an uncharted island in modern day, I wasn't alone and had been on a ship with others.
I think we may have been some kind of survey vessel just doing whatever out in the ocean, then ended up washing ashore after something.
Not sure why or how we ended up on the island since the dream started there on the beach rather than on the ship.
There were other wrecks strewn about the place that seemed to make this some kind of ship/plane graveyard.
We were trying to figure out our surroundings and set up camp when we encountered the islands inhabitants, they were
very clearly not the same as us with a majority of them being full anthropomorphic peoples and others having more human features/traits.
They didn't seem to speak but instead were using some kind of pantomime to express themselves, only one was really doing it, an elder maybe?
While this was going on I heard some shouting and turned to see what looked like an unidentified big-cat lurking around and then into our camp.
I resembled a mix between a snow leopard and tiger for fluff levels and colour, though it's fur was more of a mocha than pure orange.
It had tufts of black in places like it's ears or tail and white in others like it's belly or paws, it had black patterns that weren't anything like
a regular animal I've ever seen and no where near as distributed across it's body, it had almost tribal looking symbols in places
like the base of it's tail or neck and near it's feet making it look more like some kind of artwork than a living creature.
The natives didn't seem bothered by it and it hadn't attacked anyone so we were more on high alert than anything.
After wandering it's way through our camp of wreckage and tents it approached me and for a moment I froze not sure what to do or expect.
It came up to me close enough to touch and then rubbed up against me before wandering back off into the wilds...
The crew looked relieved, I felt dumbstruck, and the natives looked ecstatic before they proceeded to actually speak which surprised us.
They used a very simple English that was accented with other tongues that must of mingled with their own culture over the centuries of survivors.
I don't remember a very clear answer on what had just happened, but the best I can take from it is that the big-cat was some kind
of revered being to them almost like a god or perhaps guardian of the island, that they waited for it's blessing to fully mingle with us?
Myself more than anyone they seemed to treat with an odd level of respect after that, like I was made special in their eyes by it's action?
As we were welcomed and shown more of the island it became even clearer that the people who had washed up here over the centuries
left bits and pieces of their cultures behind that the natives then adopted as their own, an example that stands out to me was something
like a medieval church looking structure made with stone and wood with an islander flair with decorations and thatch/straw roofs.
I remember time passing as we became more and more acclimated to this strange yet wonderful new home of ours.
At one point while wandering about the village I saw what at first seemed to be a flock of birds, but when one got closer and landed
I realized was instead a bid sized reptile with wings, almost yet not quite like a tiny dragon or drake.
I also remember seeing children though not my own or at least I didn't address as such in the dream, so I would think not.
The dream didn't last much longer than that, as best I can guess the original inhabitants were the full animal folk while the more human
members were the result of those who washed ashore mingling in more ways than one with the locals not to mention teaching them.
The big-cat was so pretty though you have no idea, I wish I could think of a proper reference to link but alas, I can not.
August 30th:
Had a dream about another world, one that I would visit as a child until one day I couldn't go back.
There was some kind of passage that would take people to this other world, a world filled with magic and the like.
It was a full on high fantasy setting with dragons, giants, elves, dwarves, magic, and so on.
There was a small kingdom, maybe only a dukedom even, whenever I would go through this crawlspace like passage
I would end up there, meeting new friends and having adventures, like something out of a dream. (pardon the pun)
The early stuff was vague and blurry to remember by the time I'd grown into a young teen, by then I could
no longer find the passage nor the world it led to, until eventually I must of been convinced it wasn't real.
Fast forward years later to what must of been my mid or late high school range teen years, revisiting
an old house or area I'd moved from or simply not been to since I was a child, finding an odd passage...
Having the strangest sense of Déjà vu like I'd been there before, letting my curiosity get the better of me.
I crawled through the passage that was just barely big enough for me to fit through with some trouble points,
when I came to the other side I found myself in a place that was both unfamiliar yet felt like coming home.
I wandered around for a bit and found what looked an estate crossed with a keep, as I explored and met people
something at the back of my mind kept going off like an alarm or otherwise signal that something was strange.
I saw things I knew I had never seen, yet they felt familiar like finding an old box toys from when you were a child.
As I met with someone else, it all began to click, the things and people I had forgotten, the times we'd shared.
That was when I met a girl, well, a young lady really, the daughter of the lord that owned the estate I suppose.
(I want to say she had blue hair, but I'm really not sure anymore, it could have been slightly purple even)
As we looked at each other I found myself wanting to cry as everything came flooding back in one final flash of memories.
We spent the day and evening talking, remembering old times and sharing the things in between.
I stayed for... I don't even remember how long, it felt like days at a time, but it couldn't last forever, it never does...
One evening while I was staying over and exploring the old halls, something happened, an attack of some kind on the estate.
The first thing I saw was flames outside, then a large figure like a giant, walls were crumbling, people screaming.
Just before this started, while exploring, I'd come across a statue of some kind, it was large with strange runes carved into it
in places, almost like a puzzle but it didn't seem to respond or at least, couldn't be solved?
The girl was there with me, she said how no one has been able to figure it out, if it's a puzzle or just art.
It was of some kind of warrior god in their world, I remember staring at it up and down.
Suddenly it made sense, the runes weren't just scribbles, they were familiar, like old Norse runes.
The kind of things that I'd had been so obsessed with in recent years to the point of trying to learn them.
While muttering to myself I fiddled with the shapes and slowly began activating them, the final piece was
in the center of the statue like a pendant it would be wearing, one that was blank until after seemingly
solving the puzzle there were new runes that appeared on the pendant, they seemed to spell out a word or name.
I can't remember exactly what it was, there was a strong TH sound and definitely an O, I don't think it was Thor though.
(For the sake what I partially remember and what I know of the Norse, I'm going to go with "Troth" which can mean faith.
It would also make a lot of sense if it was some gods statue, even if it was just the final puzzle piece.)
After the pendant lit up, my hand seemed to move on it's own, placing it on the pendant and turning it 180 degrees then pressing
on it like a button, it pushed into the statue, then all the runes lit up again brighter, then faded, after a moment the statue
opened like it had been a container all along, it presented itself like some kind of weapon rack.
There was a bow, a shortsword, and something that looked like a tunic or jerkin to be worn like simple armour.
The bow had an aura of flame at either tip when held, while the sword had an old hammered iron look to it with runes.
The "armour" was white and brown, the main outer layer seemed like white linen or a similar fabric, the inner layer
was like a fine yet strong leather, I remember being awestruck by the the happenings as was the young lady.
Just as that happened was when the attack started, the wall near us came down revealing these two giant figures.
One of them grabbed the girl and turned to leave as the other eyed me, I grabbed the sword swung when it tried
to attack me, injuring it's hand with the sword it then backed off and left, I was trying to process what was
happening as they walked away, the bow and armour still on the ground, I grabbed the bow and fired a single arrow
that had been left with the bow, it became a fire arrow while in flight and just barely struck one of the giants.
They knelt down being injured, the other then ran off with the princess (pretty sure that's her position, given what happens later).
All I could do was to stand there and fall to my own knees, I couldn't help her, I couldn't save her, and now she was gone...
I remember just barely pulling myself together in time to escape, I put on the tunic, slung the bow and sword, and just tried to survive the night.
There was a lot of wandering, felt like years of it, by the time the dream became stable again I was older with a beard, early 20's most likely.
I had been tracking the girl and training myself with hardships so that when I finally found them, I'd be strong enough to save them this time.
Working off rumors and word of mouth I found myself in a city, a castle town, it seemed like half of my work was done after hearing that
the one in charge at the castle was a young queen who I knew had to be the same girl, or now woman, I just knew it.
(I don't remember a name sadly, I'm sure I heard something, which is why I was sure at the time, but now I'm drawing a blank)
I was shocked to find that the castle was sealed up, when I tried asking around they said that they only allow an audience
every so often, but that aside from those times that they keep the place locked down, fearing an attack.
(The whole region seemed to be in the middle of a long lasting war, our group seemed to be a rebellion of sorts, refusing
to take part and instead splintering off to form a new kingdom elsewhere?)
While trying to find a way past the lockdown I was intercepted by a noble claiming to know the court, I made my case to them
about needing to see them urgently but that it was a private matter, they didn't believe me enough to just let me in but
they agreed to let me stay at their manor while waiting for the castle to open for an audience.
I remember a time lapse of sorts, a montage you might say, of waiting around at the manor, sitting at a window or a wall
sighing and staring in the direction of the castle, at one point even breaking down while I thought I was alone, one of the
people living there saw me but kept silent, they then mentioned to the one who let me stay how sincere I seemed.
The waiting seemed to last forever, I began doubting if when I finally got in that they wouldn't be the same person etc.
Finally after what felt like another lifetime of waiting, I was told they were now taking visitors, without a moments
hesitation I flew off, quite literally in fact, over the years of searching and training I'd picked up some magic.
Namely I learned some minor transmutation spells for things like, turning into a bird for quick travel or the like.
I arrived at the gates and was greeted with a huge line of people waiting to enter, as much as I wanted to rush in I knew
these people had just as much a reason to be here as I did, though I doubt any of them were hunting for their lost princess.
I was wearing a traveling cloak, as such my face was obscured to some extent, I think part of me wanted to surprise them?
After even more waiting, some of which was my own fault for letting another or two ahead of me in line for various reasons,
I was finally able to enter the main chamber where they were meeting people, as I slowly walked closer in line it felt like
all the years of hardships were melting away, I could see those in the room and even recognized a few, the most notable of which
being the woman sitting on the throne who was taking these visitors, it was her, it was really her...
When my turn came I walked up as anyone else would, but, instead of making my plea or introducing myself, I simply lowered the hood
of my cloak, until then I think some had been suspicious of me, thinking I could be some assassin hiding my face.
Their worries were no doubt lessened when the woman's face lit up after a moment of processing my face, followed swiftly by
her nearly leaping off the throne and down to me, then embracing me and I her, both of us with tears in our eyes.
I believe there were a number of people who recognized me, survivor from that night at the estate that found their way here.
I remember standing there, then sitting there right on the floor, just holding each other crying, tears of pain and joy alike.
All the worry, all the battles, all the horrors, feeling like they were melting away as we just sat there, finally safe again.
There was a bit more after that, I remember another journey, only this time, together, a caravan of people and hope.
We were headed somewhere new, I think to form an alliance with another faction, I recall seeing beast-folk or monster races.
I remember our wagon-train being pulled by some large ground turtle like creature, not terribly fast but strong and sturdy.
The dream didn't last for much longer than that, not surprising given how long it was already.
I'd like to think, that in the 5 and a half years I've been writing my dreams down like this, that I've gotten better at
expressing the contents, or at least to a point where it's easier to get what I saw than just "and then, a fight happened".

Dream Dump, July 2017.
Posted 7 years agoJuly 7th:
Had a dream I wish I could recall more coherently but it was kind of a mess in some respects, it was also not terribly enjoyable at the time so I think my brain got more jumbled afterwards.
I dreamt of what was essentially a modern spin on the tale of Hercules and monsters and gods, it was for some reason set in the UK, I remember because it was specifically said in the dream
that we were in England and I even recall seeing vehicles with the driver on the right hand side rather than the left as it is here (Canada).
I'm not sure if I was specifically supposed to be a literal interpretation of Hercules i.e with Zeus as my true father etc, or if I was just an abnormally strong human?
The whole setting was either supposed to be taking place during the discovery of the monster races or if it was just after, like I was in the following generation?
I feel like it was during rather than after if only because there was a lot of panic, confusion, controversy, and all around xenophobia regarding the monsters.
I'm not going to use air quotes on the word monster since some of them were very much monstrous, though others were more human like.
I was in high school, again... (why is it always high school with you brain?) I was still more or less myself, guess I was studying abroad?
Seemed like it was an old school with lots of history, the architecture was very old and sturdy for most of it, though some newer sections were included.
It feels like I was keeping the whole "I'm basically a real life Hercules" thing a secret more or less, I say that because I remember a point where I was pretending
to struggle with a heavy object during shop class, me and some other guy were building a cartoonishly large halberd of some sort for a project.
I was trying to limit myself to the maximum a human could be and was playing it off as just being a really strong guy, think of the scene from The Incredibles where
they're all cheering on the son in the race, basically that if you know what I'm talking about https://youtu.be/yzhCMADl_nY and a link if not.
The thing was like, a 200 lb axe essentially, and as much as I wanted to swing it around, I knew that if I did people would put 2 and 2 together.
There was generic school life stuff to deal with that I won't bother really detailing since I'm pretty sure we can all agree that it's boring, and I don't recall it all that clearly.
I remember that there was something about a large "announcement" that was planned and that people would be showing up at the school to attend, that was around the time
that the whole monsters thing started to come to light, I recall seeing minotaurs or otherwise bovine people ( the women weren't too hard on the eyes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) as well
as others such as (I think) lamias and vampires and at one point even cat people of some kind, that was when I saw and heard most of the UK references.
Specifically there were some kind of guards or otherwise security officers at the event trying to, for lack of a better word "herd" some of them after they went wondering the grounds.
I saw a cars pull up out-front and that was when I saw the driver on the right hand side, they were talking with a passenger who was some kind of white skinned elf type of person,
they were chuckling like a funny a joke had been told and waved them off as they walked away, there were of course those who weren't being quite as chummy, such protesters and such...
There was some general types of cliches, stereotypes and I guess racist things going on, such the group of human speakers wearing rings of garlic during a panel with vampires...
I remember thing reaching a boiling point when beings calling themselves gods also showed up, I remember feeling odd with how one of them looked at me.
There was something about a fight I think, I remember wielding the axe and the "god" instigating the fight just sort of took hits without injury...
Details feel a little hazy but the next thing I recall clearly was a collapse, structure wise not social or environmental, I was in some kind of underground structure like a labyrinth.
There was someone else with me, a woman, I think maybe a teacher, we were trying to figure out what to do, saw some not so friendly and none too bright monsters and hid.
We agreed that in order to survive I was going to need a weapon to fight with (the axe was gone I guess?) and nothing laying around seemed terribly sturdy, so I decided to
man up and began fighting hand to hand style, we were running and sliding and ducking our way through the ancient structure until I saw what looked like horse sized lizards.
We stopped before entering that part and hid against a wall unsure of what to do, eventually one of them wondered over and just as it was coming around the corner I struck
at it with a punch and knocked it off balance, then the other one (there were two, they had been laying down like those lion statues you see) came running out and I was stuck
fighting them both as the woman stayed hidden, they were doing this thing where they would shoot their tongue out at me as an attack.
I remember exchanging blows with the two for a while, I think I'd downed one of them and was wrestling with the other when another yet larger and angrier one showed up.
It shot it tongue out at me while I was trying to tongue tie the second one (for lack of a better word) and it's tongue just barely missed me, leaving a cut.
I remember panicking since that seemed like the first time anything had actually been able to hurt me (the god didn't even bother to) and it was still 2 vs 1.
That was around the time I woke up, and interesting short dream.
Looking back on it I can see parts of my own life being exaggerated, such as the whole thing about holding back, I have actually been pretty strong since I was young, just not super human.
There was a time in high school where I realized it and would actively hold back or control my temper so I wouldn't unintentionally injure someone, it was part of why I didn't
participate in sports especially contact sports, I've also always been on the large side so I would try to avoid bumping into people in the hallways.
I also recall some talk about "what are you going to do after you graduate?" to which I commented that I had considered teaching as a career path.
That was something I actually did consider at one point in my life, it never happened mind you but it makes sense it would find it's way in there.
Lastly but not least, I just want to say, a lot of the women in the dream were rather lovely ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and I'm at least grateful for that.
July 24th:
Had a not terribly short dream that I sadly can't recall all of, mostly a couple key details...
I do remember the whole thing was anime themed down to most of the looks of things.
The dream was set in a not too distant future kind of deal with sci-fi but still very much Earth.
There were these robotic suits available for I would assume a number of applications, though the dream focused
on them being used for a kind of gladiatorial kind of deal as an organized sport.
They weren't clunky or huge but more like something you'd see in an anime with super tech.
If I had to guess I'd say they were no more than 10 feet tall, probably closer to 8 feet.
I was in a high school for most of it, there was some team for the sport that we had.
I'm not sure if I was a pilot or more of a mechanic type role?
There was another trope of sci-fi these days in the form of animal people, mostly people with ears and tails
but I'm pretty sure I at least caught glimpses of full on anthro folk.
I recall being part of a class or possibly a club that dealt with metal work and repair jobs around campus?
I remember something about a teacher who for some reason made amazing pudding, an odd detail.
He didn't just hand it out or anything, it was sold in the cafeteria to students.
There was even some kind of plot going on with it, it was stupid in hindsight.
Not many people actually ate it since it was like "well... the shop teacher made it you know..." as the
general mindset when considering trying it, the irony that it was very good.
At some point there was something about the teacher leaving or being let go, it had something to
do with the pudding I think, not that there was anything wrong with it, I'm not sure why.
While some of us were sitting in the class room a girl was eating one solemnly, she couldn't finish it from sadness.
Me and a couple others took a taste and were hit with a mix of tastes and feelings, personally it reminded me
of the taste of home made batter for stuff like muffins or the like that mom would make.
I recall something along those lines like "... it, reminds me of home, a warm and nostalgic taste..." and since
this seemed to be either a boarding school or the classic "attending school over seas" scenario it was
a powerful feeling for someone far from home who couldn't easily enjoy that taste.
At some point a student in the group got bored and tired of not being paid attention to like
some kind of spoiled child (might of been a rich kid?) who them started a fight with a couple
of us after saying some trash about the teacher, the fight practically didn't happen since
they were so bad at it (the challenge was a suit battle) that two of our suits on auto-pilot
were able to beat them senseless, I guess they had some basic A.I for training reasons?
I remember clearly how the rest of us kept having the conversation about the teacher
while they got their ass handed to them in the background in comical fashion.
Someone even asked if we should help and I was like "No, I'm good, I'm enjoying watching our suits beat the crap out of him.".
The dream moved on to a point where we had some tournament to take part in, we were crossing a desert
with vehicles and suits on our way to the match as we passed by a seemingly background salvage yard.
As we did this the scene took focus on a single character in the yard doing their thing as we passed by,
it even showed them watch us go by as if to create a different camera angle or something for art reasons.
That's about where the dream ended before I woke up, the oddest part of it all for me wasn't the pudding
or the robots or the teacher troubles or anything, it was the salvage yard character...
Because as soon as I woke up I realized it had been the character Junkrat from Overwatch,
a game I've never played and only casually seen gameplay of... Thanks brain.
I realize now that this wasn't that short even despite the more mundane details being forgotten.

Dream Dump, June 2017.
Posted 7 years agoJune 16th:
Had a bunch of short dreams I don't recall all that well now, the two I remember best were oddly enough at opposite ends of that long jumbled line.
Early in the night I had a dream about some sort of highly advanced symbiotic suit like entity, I remember having to fight against others seeking it as well just straight up evils.
I remember it having different personalities governing different parts of the suit, the head was supposed to be the dominant personality and seemed like a nice guy.
Whenever I wore them I could hear their voice(s) telepathically, I don't recall much more than that other than there being mummies at some point?
I recall a point where the head personality (no pun intended?) went quiet and the others spoke up in their place, I could barely function while he was out of action.
It was like he'd been powered down or lost the will to fight, I remember getting beat pretty bad and seeming like I was going to die.
When they came back to their senses he was shocked and freaking out since I'd actually tried to be friendly with him unlike some.
I recall something about him offering to permanently become a part of me so that I would survive, I remember excepting.
Before waking up I had a dream about walking down a street after dark, in the distance I saw something and got closer trying to see what it was.
I can only describe it as looking like a large stone staircase going down like the entrance to some ruin or dungeon, there were people outside of it dressed up.
It looked like some kind of LARP event though I was cautious about just walking up, there was a woman dressed like a dark elf asking for "tokens".
When I inquired about where to get them she pointed me to a booth with another woman behind a counter, the woman inside was dressed more like a witch or gypsy or the like.
I expected to hear a price for admission but all she did was ask me questions like how I found the place, what I thought of it, then other stuff like my name etc.
At the end of the conversation all she did was put out her hand to shake (I should have been hearing warning signals going off in my head already) and after I moment I did the same.
Her hand was soft and her grip was nearly non-existent as if she herself wasn't truly there, I then got the feeling that I'd gotten in over my head but that it was too late to back out now...
Everything outside looked pretty standard with the booth and line stuff, the costumes looked really convincing though and the entrance itself looked ancient with old stonework and moss among other things.
There were even skulls with glowing eyes, I couldn't make out how they were doing it and that was when it all started to click, but it was too late, and then I woke up. (son of a bitch!)
June 20th:
Had a dream, well a number of dreams really, each one was about being in another world though they are kind of hard to recall now, I'll try.
One that I recall the most details about was this strange world where some people would end up after passing away in our world, like they're spirits would go there and be reborn/brought back to life?
The best thing I can think of to relate it to is how in the stories of Valhalla the dead warriors would in a way live again and be able to fight for eternity?
I don't remember how I was supposed to have died but the next thing I knew I was in another world with a war being fought between two sides, the world seemed to have originally been a fantasy
settings with magic and dragons but at some point someone from our world had either managed to bring some of our weapons/technology with them, or the knowledge of how to replicate it?
I recall a scene of a town under attack by either a dragon, or by pseudo modern warfare in the form of black-powder artillery and armoured wagons, like one was fighting the other, not sure who was attacking?
I was standing there in awe of the scene, as were others who were from that world, and all I could do to comfort them was to say that even more terrible weapons existed in out world...
At one point or another I had to choose a side, but I wasn't even sure which was which, who I should help or fight, eventually I just sort of got roped into one or the other.
We were at some kind of fortification undergoing training, at one point I saw two people I recognized and when they opened their arms I did the same, then they passed by me and embraced the other person
leaving me standing there with my arms open awkwardly, I just sort of hugged myself and clonked my head on the wall with a song playing in my head "hello darkness my old friend~" and then they walked up to apologize.
After a while I remember a loud commotion and the sound of fighting, our encampment was being attacked by the other group or at least some other group, those of us who weren't ready to fight were being evacuated
while the others held the line, as a figure came in through a door or maybe it was a window I remember thinking to myself "I'm going die all over again, aren't I?.." with my hands up in front of my face...
Then I thought that even for a moment I recognized the figure and called out "Mr. Nielsen?" and they stopped the attack, pulling back a mask or helmet revealed the very familiar face of dead Hollywood star Leslie Nielsen.
Another dream I had before waking up was also about being in another world, though in this one it seemed I had been brought here while still alive somehow, it was an odd place working on anime logic and physics.
There were people with odd eye and hair colours, everywhere I looked seemed to either be school uniforms or an otherwise cliche and well known outfit, I remember almost being excited before the reality of it sank it.
I was trapped in a world being the only "normal" person there while everyone else made over the top reactions and moments of cartoon violence and otherwise madness...
Specifically I was trying to spend my time in some kind of high school setting for what felt like a life time, and when the time came that it seemed I could finally go home something else sank in.
Sadness, I was, despite my contempt for the forces that brought me to this place, sad to leave it and more importantly the people I had befriended behind, I remember seeing an almost sideshow of end credits
fly by like I was recalling things all at once, not in the slow and depressing way I'd experienced it but in such a cliche montage of events that I realized what I was leaving behind was almost fun...
I had tears forming and wasn't sure if I wanted to cry or hide it, there was one person in particular, a girl with silver or white hair, I remember just sitting next to them on the ground as it happened.
I blinked to wipe away some more tears and then I was awake in bed, I mean yeah sure it had been a weird and even dangerous experience but, it was sad saying goodbye...
Stockholm Syndrome maybe? That or, realizing it was pretty much everything an otaku would die for, an odd dream but oh well.
June 25th:
Had a number of dreams, they all kind of mushed together by this point, but I do recall the one I had before waking up.
The dream took place in some kind of alternate history type scenario, seemed modern but overly militaristic.
I was sitting on a bus, everyone was wearing some kinds of military fatigues, it seemed like a military academy of some sort.
We were waiting to be sent off to the school as new students/recruits, we were all sitting there waiting and someone was walking by the bus.
They were an older student wearing a more complex uniform with decorations (medals or some such maybe?) and were talking about either
an older student or maybe even an instructor "I was watching this sniper trying to change a tire on a truck, you should of seen the colour his was turning!".
I chimed in saying that "Well, being good with manual-labour doesn't always equal combat effectiveness~" and he stopped to chuckle, then introduced himself
while stretching out his hand like (I actually forget his name and rank so I'll just call him... Garlin?) "The Grand Generals' Grandson, and you?" to which I shook his hand
saying (my real name) "Richard, new recruit, nice to meet you... Aaaaaand I'm kind of here, accidentally?" and he replied "What do you mean, accidentally?" and I was explained that
my papers had essentially been mixed up and wrongfully filed or filled out so I ended up here instead of where I was supposed to be going but finished with "But, this place seems nice enough"
(we were already in some kind of town dedicated to housing the staff and families of those at the academy) and our teacher/instructor replied "Don't let the Grand General hear you call it that"
and I tried to catch my words with saying "I just meant that it seems like a well enough envir-" but was cut off by some kind of PA system I didn't quite hear clearly followed by sirens.
I remember hearing someone say "Ms. Perkins, what's happening?" (our teacher) while the older student Garlin jumped into the bus telling the driver to head for the nearest shelter.
I recall either saying or hearing "did he say lunch or LAUNCH?" from when the announcement went out, I saw what could only be described as not a missile but rather a red bolt of energy
flying through the sky, it looked ominous and terrifying, just as it hit further behind us in the distance a huge pillar of light erupted, instead of a mushroom cloud I saw two beams of light
arcing upwards into the sky and twisting around each-other like a stand of DNA and all I recall saying "Oh god... a Helix Warhead... Fuck...".
The unnatural red light approached like a shock-wave after an explosion, everything it touched looked like it was rapidly ageing and falling apart in seconds.
Just as it washed over us and I saw the shell of the bus dissolving before my eyes in bullet time, I felt something hot inside, I started trembling and then there was a white light...
My hands were sinking into the seat in front of me from the pain(?), my hair turned white, my eyes were glowing white, a white sort of light or aura washed out from me and surrounded the
bus and the people within, all the while I remember a bone aching heat, I was screaming or maybe shouting, when the red light was gone the bus had already stopped, the white light slowly vanished as well
with the last of it lingering around me like an aura, I remember stares and feeling faint, just as I would have slumped over on the seat and passed out, I woke up in bed.
All I can think is, that despite the "modern" era it seemed to be in, there was some kind of quasi-magic-tech sort of thing going on, hidden powers as well considering.
Yet another bases to build some kind of actual story off of, feels like a new generic anime to be honest XD
Had a bunch of short dreams I don't recall all that well now, the two I remember best were oddly enough at opposite ends of that long jumbled line.

All I can think is, that despite the "modern" era it seemed to be in, there was some kind of quasi-magic-tech sort of thing going on, hidden powers as well considering.
Yet another bases to build some kind of actual story off of, feels like a new generic anime to be honest XD

I had a very short dream about playing some new Borderlands game, it still had the familiar shading and art style but the graphics seemed crisper and higher resolution, the physics seemed better too.
I was playing a female character wearing combat armour that seemed to fit the soldier/commando class role but I recall also duel wielding pistols or something at one point?

Had a lengthy dream about what seemed like real life Fallout 4, I was in power armour and discovering then exploring some old hospital kind of place.
The whole structure was infested with feral ghouls and once I ran out of ammo with my 10mm SMG I pulled out a beefier looking version of the Ripper.
The more I explored the more it seemed like some kind of asylum rather than just a hospital, padded rooms and odd machines around.
It was all a very visceral experience, at one point I was rushed by a tougher feral and the Ripper got stuck, I had to use both hands to force
it through and it just disgustingly chewed through the ghoul, thank god for power armour and air filtration systems...
Eventually I ran into a group of armed people that seemed to be what was left of the facilities staff turned ghoul.
They were still there trying to find a way to treat the ferals, whether that was some kind of cure or simply keeping them there.
Trying to keep them from hurting themselves or others, I remember one guy in particular wearing what looked like either a white
Chinese Stealth Suit or a more battle ready version of the radiation/hazmat suit and carrying a some kind of plasma rifle.
April 22nd:
Well there's something new, no one else had posted in a while?.. Moving on.
Had a short dream about being in high school (again, what the hell brain?) and being in a club based around wreck diving, scuba diving ship wrecks and other ruined things.
There was something about an oddly well intact ancient Japanese ship, something about gold gilding and religious origins, something about a creepy feeling and sense of not being wanted.
I remember while diving beside the ship and after placing my hands against the wood hull and hearing (like, in my ears/head, not so much from the ship?) a clear sound of knuckles rapping on wood.
When I realised it was too loud and clear to be the sound of something underwater, and when no one else seemed to hear it, I tried to move away but it felt like hands were stuck to the wood.
I remember this horribly heavy feeling in my gut, like I could FEEL the sense of "I shouldn't be here, I need to leave, why aren't I leaving!?" before someone else came over.
I forget the exact nature of how it ended, but I was able to free my hands after said person came over, maybe they put a hand on my shoulder?
I was convinced it was haunted and wanted nothing more to do with the dive.
April 27th:
Had a dream about finding some kind of artifact while visiting a pawn/antique shop, it was small with antiqued bronze looking metal parts and had a crystal of some kind embedded in it, it was small enough fit in my hand.
( Attempted to doodle it, not happy with it but, it's the best I can do, sort of looks like an ornate metal potato or egg https://www.dropbox.com/s/1lji8bvpraox3 ... m.png?dl=0 )
I was looking at it while the shop owner who was a friend told me about how it came to be in the shop, something like it had been there since the beginning or something, very long time sort of thing.
After noticing what looked like grooves and markings, I got to thinking it might be a puzzle thing or something of that nature, so I started fiddling with it a little, guy seemed cool about it too.
After a bit it seemed like the crystal responded or something like that and before I realized it, everything felt very wonky like I was going to fall over without warning followed by a blinding light.
When it stopped and I was on a knee or two trying to brace my myself against the counter with a hand I realized that the counter was no longer there, I was no longer in Kansas so to speak.
As I tried to get my bearings and things came into focus I noticed there were more people standing around than had been in the shop, everything was silent save for awkward shuffling.
That soon ended as I was assaulted both by questions and armed guards, I remember being in a small room that reminded me of a police interrogation.
I was being accused of something but not sure what it was at the time, I was explaining what happened as best I could, the shop, the item, the light and wobbliness.
Once part of their team identified the antique as being truly alien in origin, highly advanced, and ancient which raised many questions, they started to ease up on me a little.
The people I was now in the company of, despite being clearly alien as I was somehow teleported somewhere looked remarkably human, sort of like how we had common ancestors at one point, maybe they share them.
(That or my brain was lazy and just made them look human, we may never know :p)
I was shown two sides in who were bound up in a conflict, one was a space fairing people with scarce supplies and resources while the other lived primarily on one planet with abundant nature and resources.
Neither were truly evil or good in the sense that both just wanted to live, but I'm going to say that the people with spaceships trying to demand food and such from the otherwise peaceful people planet-side were the bad guys here.
Propaganda abound, be it the space folk with stuff like "they hoard it to themselves when it could feed both sides for generations to come!" or the planet folk "they would take the food from your child's plate as they eat!" and so forth...
I wasn't really sure what to do any-more, I was just trying to not get myself shot for "treason" while figuring out what was going on and who I should side with.
I remember a scene with some kind of lab and them running tests on the artifact, they determined that it had some manner of self awareness or at least didn't want them using it as it refused to function for them.
Eventually they found a way of "convincing" it to work and before I knew it, I along with a couple people from that group were being transported back to Earth with me as some kind of ambassador or such.
There was a lot confusion that I can recall, least of all was me back at the shop with the owner shitting himself (figuratively, I think) at the sudden surprise visit, also with how I'd left last time.
I recall them hijacking some kind of array so they could manage limited communications with their ship in deep space, I also remember trying to explain the situation to different government people.
In the end I'm not sure what was going to happen, on the one hand they now knew where Earth was but with more than one planet to "barter" with they wouldn't have to take as much from one?
The dream fizzled out shortly after that, I remember the person that they made contact with didn't look human at all on the monitor, more like a reptilian race of some kind?
April 28th:
Had two dreams I can recall clearly enough to really write about, both were sci-fi in a sense though one more than the other.
1. A dream about having a dream, at multiple points I would feel not quite dizzy but rather like I was remembering/realizing things throughout the dream as they happened, like something ominous followed by the event itself.
The whole thing started with me having some kind of dream about the end of the world, an alien invasion of some kind, cities burning, the sky growing red like it was on fire, standard end times stuff.
Then I was "awake" and running around trying to figure out what the hell was going on, determined that it wasn't just a dream and that I had seen things to come, I started trying to remember key details.
With the help of a local cop, and wannabe Scoobi Do type detective with a short bus, and a legit government agent, we were tracking down clues to the location of something I'd seen in my "vision".
They didn't know I had seen these things in a dream but rather thought I was somehow made privy to such information in some way, we found a storage shed and inside was a locker.
In the dream there was something very important inside of the locker but I didn't know what, someone in the group (the cop I think) had been there before but was never given a key for the locker.
Agreeing this all seemed suspicious and possibly what we were looking for, we focused on trying to find a way into said locked container.
Once open we found what seemed like some kind gadget, be it alien in origin or top level human tech, no way of knowing for certain but soon after we grabbed it something big started happening.
We ran outside to see the sky turning red, not like a sunset though, it had this ominous and unnatural sense of "what the f**k is happening" that no sunset could muster.
I recall saying out-loud "oh god, it's just like the dream, we have to-" to which at least one of them (probably the cop or agent) responded with "wait, what do you mean DREAM?" as we hurried to the bus.
As we hurried along to wherever we were going (maybe we were just running?) I was trying to explain what I meant about a dream, they seemed sceptic but considering we found the thing and the sky happening,
they were more inclined to believe me rather than think I was crazy or making it up, then what looked like a cloud began to descend around the area, we quickly saw it was made up of these almost praying mantis like
things that were either very alien looking or just robotic though I'm leaning towards organic since they squished rather than crushed, we started shouting to shut the windows.
At least one made it in part way before I mid-air punched it back out the window and slammed it shut saying something like "piss off!" though I'm tempted to think it was "bug off" because one-liners...
There was one in the bus and I recall taking jabs at it, it seemed focused on the item we had recovered but then spoke more or less, whether it was speaking or something was speaking through it I don't know.
It landed on the wall and tried to do something, I forget what exactly, I took the initiative and punched it as hard as I could feeling it break against the wall, it was still moving so I kept punching and then tossed it out.
I don't recall a whole lot after that clearly, something about hiding with a shotgun while a creature resembling something between a warrior bug from Starship Trooper and a Chryssalid from the Xcom franchise...
I also recall something about a store with us and other hurrying for supplies, something about these humanoid aliens that could assume the form of others, key being they couldn't act just like them on the fly.
2. A dream that was like a real life Fallout game, the weapons/vehicles/items were more like real world things but there were still super mutants and deathclaws etc.
I was with my 3rd eldest brother and my best bud, the 3 of use were trying to make it to some settlement, whole thing seemed based off Fallout4 most, but with changes.
There were times when we commented on game mechanics and rather than be crazy I'd like to think we were playing some kind of "perfect" VR Fallout game with realistic graphics etc.
One of us had a rifle with a scope and bayonet along with a pistol, another had a shotgun and magnum, and the other had salvaged power armour and was using melee mostly.
We saw mutants and decided to sneak out way around, then saw a deathclaw and hid in a house, a pack of dogs and some mutant hounds showed up and we fought them.
We were searching the place while we were there, I found an alarm clock that looked more normal and took out its "nuclear" battery saying we could get some nuclear material out of it.
While out on one of those porch/deck things outside a an upper floor window I couldn't see the deathclaw, but I did see super mutants rolling up in jerry-rigged golf carts from a nearby golf course camp.
There was a lot of shooting and weapons going dry, then a LOT of running with us eventually making it to the settlement where we saw other groups waiting to get inside.
I remember needing to take my bayonet off before putting my rifle away for realism, and just us putting out weapons away in general since safe area.
April 29th:
Had a dream about wondering/running around inside of some building, it was a super confusing and no mater how hard I looked I couldn't find any exit.
By the end I had found friends who were also trying to escape this prison like building and so we ran together trying to find a way out.
After nearly giving up hope I found it, an and old and not terribly inviting set of doors with an exit sign above them, figured it was better than nothing.
Someone tried to stop me for whatever reason, I think they had been following me through the building, not sure why honestly.
I ran at the door and jump kicked them, they were very old and rickety so they gave under my weight and the guy was knocked back.
Then I was standing just passed the doorway looking into darkness, there was a long tunnel before me gradually sloping down.
I didn't have much time to ponder since the asshat was getting back up so I just went for it, what was a gradual slope became a slide.
I was moving through near pure darkness and just as I was thinking "I made it, I can finally get out of this place!" I noticed something.
Quickly I started seeing discarded things like old shoes, clothes, and altogether garbage, then I saw something grim, bodies.
They were all different but most were shrivelled or near mummified, there were just straight up skeletons and skulls strewn about as well.
Then I saw something, it came from everywhere like smoke or slime, it was some kind of ghostly entity (I think pink?) and I had to beat it away.
After that came something else strange and terrifying, a deer headed figure (it was dark and happened fast) standing there as I slid closer.
I thought it was going to attack me but it didn't, it just let me pass by without even looking my way, I kept going and things only got worse.
As I moved through the tunnel it had become all bones and trash, no longer a stone or brick tunnel of human design.
I could feel something trying to wash over me, like it was coming up out of the filth and clinging, it felt wrong and I could try to pull it off.
As if a life time later I had finally reached the end of the tunnel, there was another door that, for a moment I feared was locked.
I could see the outside passed it do to glass of some kind, without hesitating I flung it open and ran through, tripping onto the ground as it closed behind me.
I sat there for a bit trying to catch my breath and then I realised I was alone, I turned to look for my friends but could see them, I ran up to the door
and it was locked from the other side, as I stood there trying to make sense of things a woman became visible out the corner of my eye.
I turned expecting something else to jump out at me but she just sat there on the ground atop a blanket looking confused.
When she asked where I had come from I of course tried to explain, though it seemed to confuse her more.
I skipped the obviously not important part of the building and instead talked about finding the exit door, that I had then been falling down a tunnel
and encountered all the strange things I had, she then asked me if I had fought back against the strange things.
I told that I had to, they kept trying to hurt me or worse, why wouldn't someone fight against such things, they were dead, undead even.
She looked contemplative and then said "then you also fought with the gazelle headed man?" to which I said no and then she looked VERY surprised.
I explained and she muttered to herself "he didn't stop him?.." to which I was very confused obviously, then I saw more people suddenly.
It was like I had been standing near a village or something of that nature, I walked with the woman further in as she had decided to trust me.
(everyone seemed very native/aboriginal as did the village, not sure which culture though? Not African though, since they were more dark tanned than actually black.)
The others were a bit sceptic of me being there at first, didn't blame them to be honest, I didn't even know how I was there, aside the obvious.
They were building some kind of structure and I helped by pointing out anything that seemed out of place from a more educated standpoint.
At some point something gave but no one including myself was hurt, it was then that the others seemed focused on me, one of them picked up a small sharp bit.
He walked over calmly and without warning tried to cut me with it but nothing happened, I didn't bleed and it didn't hurt.
Everyone went quiet and the woman spoke up, I forget the exact words spoken but she revealed to me that I hadn't survived the tunnel, that I was dead...
As I sat there trying to make sense of that, trying to make excuses to how she must be wrong, it just sank it and I got quiet, just sitting on the ground.
The other slowly came around and sort of group hugged me more or less, they were trying to be sympathetic and comforting at least.
Then I just started crying uncontrollably realising it was over, then it faded away and I was awake in bed.
I decided to try and look up if there were any well known "gazelle headed figures" and only two really popped up, both from Egypt.
One was a god sometimes depicted with a gazelle head and the other was a statue found in a tomb of a "demon" to do with the afterlife.
Neither of which I has seen or really heard about before hand so that was weird, and that's not even touching on how much the whole
progress of the dream felt like someone committing suicide...
Feeling lost and trying to find a way out, someone trying to stop you, refusing their help, the escalating terror, the loneliness, the release.
It was fucked up to say the least, I don't think I've had a dream that could be compared to another thing THAT easily.
Had a lengthy dream about what seemed like real life Fallout 4, I was in power armour and discovering then exploring some old hospital kind of place.
