Help making animations?

I work on SAI, but used to have PS as my main drawing program.
Photoshop doesn't run well enough as to use it in my computer, used to make some gif/short animations there but tbh I can't really work on it anymore, it just runs horribly.
Any software ideas for short animations, like for gif icons and such? Mostly to fuse and configure the frames, etc, I could still draw them in SAI anyways.
I'd really like to make some animated icons for christmas or smth :_<

Christmas is supposed to be a family thing, and my relationship with them is not that good. It's not that exciting anymore, ya know.
I wish my family don't fuck up everything this year. I just can't even remember a Christmas Eve where I didn't cry. xd And welllllllll, there's food, too~~
Anyway I've got this bunch of friends that make me smile a lot, and at least we'll have so much fun in New Years.
Plus I've acquired a N3DS recently and if things get bad I'll be hunting some monsters there, idgaf v:

This is a little update journal for the following info:
· I haven't been much active the last days because went to spend some time with my local friends. I'll be working on building a good schedule to become productive (as you've seen I completely lack that thing), thanks to some advices that I was given, and I'll put them into practice asap. I will post about that when I have it all organised
· This means that hopefully I'll be opening for commissions pretty often, even weekly, if everything works right.
· I could start doing public streamings, too, within some time.
Also, if there are any trans folks on T with experience on self injecting, I have some questions regarding how fucking painful it is the days after?
I'm injecting on the thigh (second time was last week), with doc supervision by now. Idc about needles or the pain at the moment of the injection, but there's a point after one or two days where I can't even move that muscle (so walking is a bit difficult/painfulasHELL).
The thing is well applied, in a right place, as my doc is helping and supervising, but the first time I literally stabbed my thigh super fast (and too strong) to avoid thinking too much about it, and last time I tried to do it more slowly and the result was stopping at half needle and then I got nervous and this time was super painful over the days, as the muscle swelled a bit near the knee. She recommended me to put it on top, I'm pretty thin and lack sum gud muscles, but I've seen everyone put it on the side so it could be a thing to have in count, maybe it's more painful on top.
I get even more nervous with the doc's presence so I'd ask her to try at home myself next time, but I'm pretty sure she won't let me do it unless I can inject it with perfect steadiness (and that's actually good so I'm okay with that anyways).
I've been searching lots of videos and info, and guess it's just a matter of practice and finding the right steadiness and that stuff, but if someone has important tips/advice/techniques, I could really use some help.

Posted 10 years agoI'd like to throw some info about them. It's a bit long maybe? Sorry about that.
My hollow burbs are something I made in order to express some bad feelings like anxiety, stress, depression, loneliness...
The one I made based on the idea, you can see them here, they're called Ink Vessel and represent the feelings I mentioned.
I'll probably use them to draw vent art, and the species is mostly made for that purpose.
They're feral werebirds, formerly free spirits that were caged and became hollow and (theoretically) dead.
Since they were caged and had their freedom stolen, they are now a kind of container without a proper soul. So yeah, they're "dead", but at same time they're also kind of immortal.
Hollows are not alone, though. Each one has a little creature that acts as a parasite and lives inside them in something you could call a "home ecosystem". Mine, for example, is a octopus so its home is full of sea water.
The creature becomes their senses in exchange of protection, establishing a strong bond of affection between them. They depend one another, their lives are tied to each other since a host is created and a creature is "assigned" to them.
This is why the hollows aren't fully immortal- they do depend of their parasite, since they're the most similar thing to a soul they have, and taking care of them is their only purpose.
If the parasite dies, so does the host. If the host dies, so does the parasite.
I'd explain them psychologically but if someone reads this, I think whoever has to understand them, already did. ??
Physically, some details have to be explained I guess.
-Hollows are, well... hollow, as they lack of organs, flesh, blood... But their insides do have their parasite's ecosystem, like crystals, forest, oceans...
-They're very skinny but with a big thorax. Hind legs are atrophied, so they're especially small and can't move them a lot. Their arms, though, are strong and powerful. Claws are atrophied as well, for the lack of activity and use, and curl on themselves, making it difficult for them to do some stuff with their hands.
-Hollows can be partly or fully bird, but their heads are always avian. They lack wings and can have scars on that place.
-The cage can be represented with them or not, and it's always too small for their body.
-Parasites can only be small animals or creatures and they get into the host through the mouth, being this the only hole along with the eyes and nose if that's the case. Parasites and hosts can share symbols or color patterns on their bodies.
-When the hosts feel especially bad, their inner ecosystem can react, throwing storms, lava, water, etc, outside.
-They can, in some situations, be apparently healed, but they don't lose the condition of being hollow and dead, nor can their body shape be recovered. This means that for example they can have their claws trimmed, gain some strength in their hind legs as to walk properly, or have a more healthy and happier expression.
My idea on making this public was initially selling/auction/raffle a design every some time to people who liked this concept and would want one. Being something I've made to be personal and with a strong meaning to their owner, I wouldn't like to see them around being used in porn and that stuff. Mostly because, idk, you'd be fucking the idea of a feeling that hurts people. Hope I'm explaining it correctly?
Though, I've recently decided to make this an open species. It makes sense, ya know. I'd just ask that people don't use them for porn.
If you have some comments about the concept and this journal in general, feel free to comment. I'd LOVE to read opinions. It's been a long time in my head.

Lmao, for real tho. They put the tooth screw already and Im on antibiotics and hurting like shit but its ok. Chill and relax by now.
Also on Tues did my first self-injected T shot after over a year on T already. My doc helped a lot and was super supportive, and holy shit it was amazing and exciting because I no longer depend of a doc to do the shots. Tbh that's pretty liberating.
Though, I've been kinda overtired lately and left FA aside for a bit. Hope to be back in a couple days, I'll reply thr long messages by then.

I like to share curious stuff!
Did you know that polydactyly (polydactylism / hyperdactyly) is actually a pretty common physical anomaly in cats?
It causes a cat to be born with more than 18 toes -five toes on each front paw and four toes on each hind paw-, that is the usual amount... being the record 28 toes.

They are also referred as "Hemingway cats", cause Ernest Hemingway was so fond on them after he was given a six-toed kitty by a ship's captain.
After his death, in fact, his former home became a museum and a home for his cats and their descendants, and like half of them are polydactyl. :V!

There are some breeds that are more prone to have this condition, like the Highlander Cat or especially the Maine Coon, for being a breed originated in snowy Maine... and these worked as natural snowshoes.
But also the American Polydactyl Cat is bred only for that. For the toes thing. XD

Some people considered them good luck at sea, mostly because they're rumored to be good mice hunters, and also have better balance.

So guess it's time for a little life update, for those interested.

As I've had written for a long time on my profile, signed up for a business course. Though, other opportunities have come, and I've decided to follow those instead. I'm gonna keep studying either way, but hopefully in something more useful for my interests.
At least my sleep schedule is fixed, and that's important. Scheduled activities are important, aren't they? So, going on the good path by now, regarding that.
Occupations aside, having more social contact at school hasn't actually done any good, but that's not something to talk about here.
I'm just gonna accept by now that human contact is not my thing, something that's been obvious over here for so long and that hopefully everyone respects.
Opening a couple of commission slots in the next days- and maybe even lil quick halloween batches, if the mood remains like today.
'Sona changes are coming soon, too. I really enjoy changing Rentham's design, gotta admit. So... embracing the changes.

Posted 10 years agoI've reached 1.500 watchers and 20.000 pageviews, so I'm gonna do a free raffle because why not.
I'm a really bad artist and I know it, so slow and stuff, no need to remind me of it. But I've done nothing for you all since this account was created and I think it's time, now that at least I'm super comfortable with my current style.
I want to thank all the people who's following, that comment and enjoy my arts, even though it has changed a lot in this time. Especially my customers who always have to deal with delays.
Anyway!

Posted 10 years agoGuys I need your help. It's nothing personal actually, but I live in Spain and our fees to become autonomous are very, very high.
While the most logic is the fees to depend on how much money the worker earns and it's usually a flat annual amount, here it's a really expensive monthly fee, it doesn't matter how much you earn, and if that month you don't have work you have to pay it anyway.
Talking kinda personal now though, I don't have the means to become autonomous because I hardly draw in a constant way, but if I could it would be very difficult anyway to get benefits from it.
There's a Change.org petition going around to try to change it to logical amounts and percentages, and it would be amazing if people help, spreading and signing it, especially if you know any artist who lives and works here.
